Aquí está nuestra Dim Sum anual pre-navideña Incluso mejor de lo habitual, buena comida y ambiente (mezcla de familias chinas y unos pocos lugareños) personal amable y una gran variedad de Dim Sum, todo perfectamente cocinado Volveremos.

Fabuloso restaurante para una gran calidad Dim Sum! No estoy seguro de por qué hay críticas negativas aquí. Hemos estado en este restaurante cada vez que visitamos Liverpool y tengo que decir que la calidad de sus platos de Dim Sum y carne asada son excelentes! La espera mínima y la comida están calientes cuando están fuera. Siendo malayo y habiendo tenido una buena parte de restaurantes dim sum en Asia regularmente, sólo puedo afirmar que la comida aquí es buena! Por favor entienda que en un restaurante chino auténtico, la comida sale como y cuando están listos. No hay concepto de entrante o comida principal o postre. Todos comparten la comida de cada plato.

Como dijo un crítico anterior, la comida estaba bien, pero más tarde descubrimos que este restaurante fue inspeccionado en septiembre de 2024 y su calificación de higiene alimentaria es 0 lo que significa mejoras urgentes / importantes necesarias en sus estándares de higiene. Hasta que esto mejore, ciertamente no volveríamos.

Tuvimos una comida razonable aquí. Totalmente arruinada la experiencia cuando comprobé allí calificación de higiene alimentaria y me enteré de que han sido galardonados con 0 estrellas. . me hizo sentir mal

Bastante temprano los jueves por la noche. Several El personal alrededor tan rápido servicio. Alimentos Ok pollo y sopa de maíz dulce mejor plato. El pollo agridulce, sal y pimienta no tenía mucho condimento ni nada en el pollo rebozado. No está mal, pero seguro que hay varios restaurantes chinos mejores en la ciudad de China

Mei mei Chinese restaurant has the best dim sum’s and roast duck it’s very good! The service is also excellent alongside with the environment is very comfortable.

Mei Mei is a NO NO Went there Friday early evening. Service was awful left after waiting & waiting & waiting for our meals. We kept getting told food was on the way. Gave up, won’t be back, they still wanted to charge full amount !!!

Used to be a great restaurant ... the prices are terrible, added service charge is a joke considering they don't service you... staff stand around looking at you when u need to order ! I was charged the price of a starter for soy sauce with chillies in for my dim sum 😂 pretty much thought soy sauce was part of a dim sum meal. Weve been coming this restaurant for years and food is always lovely. However they do have a fairly new manager who is not so lovely, so rude and abrupt and speaks and treats his staff awful. So we now choose to come on his day of.

Been going the Mei Mei for years week in week out was a quality restaurant in its day over time it has changed hands I noticed over the past say 18 months the quality of the meat is poor but still high prices I didn’t mind paying over the odds over years as you got good quality meat dishes now you don't cheap cuts of pork !! Colour dark Also chairs rotten carpet not clean either some staff have no manners Really should change the name of the restaurant as I consider this restaurant is not the same as the quality Mei Mei that opened many years go so disappointed time to fine a better quality Chinese restaurant sorry Mei Mei !!

So disappointed! Had recommendations from 3 different people but food was average at best - service was poor, atmosphere (Christmas Eve) was dismal! Taking all this into account - feel the cost was on the high side.

Food was really poor quality, coke was watery from the draft, soup was gloopy, vermicelli really dry, chicken wings were so poor quality, had yellow bits on. We left all our food and they didn’t ask was it ok, service was poor. Whole experience was not good. And expensive. Tokyou next door is a thousand times better, bigger portions and half the price! Wouldn’t give this place 1 star. AVOID !!!

Firstly we were seated by the door which was cold and drafty,asked to be moved but was ignored. Got our starter quickly but waited a long time for our mains which was more frustrating as a family who came in after us had theirs before us. Ordered a drink which they forgot about so had to remind them. When we eventually got our meal it was luke warn and not very nice,we ordered prawn crackers which never arrived but was still on the bill,told member of staff but no apology just issued another bill. Staff were totally uninterested in us i would never go there again.

Me my partner and family recently visited this restaurant for dinner. We did not pre book we looked at the menu in the window and decided to give it a try. We had a shared platter starter and 3 main dishes with rice. What a fabulous meal really tasty and fresh.

Yet another great lunch, quality dim sum, our favourite Chinese restaurant in Liverpool! Will be back again soon!

Had lots of dim sum but the sui Mai was awful the meat tasted like sausage meat tasteless so was the soup! I won't be going back again the decor could do with upgrading too

Oh dear, the reviews on TripAdvisor are terrible! And yet the dim sum I ate was very good indeed, up there with the best yum cha in Hong Kong. This was totally authentic, freshly made dim sum. The pork and egg congee portion was enormous, and together with condiments and a side order of zhaliang (deep fried dough in rice rolls) this was very good indeed. Ma Lai go (steamed molasses sponge cake) and Cha siu bao were also very good. But the siu mai and har gao were outstanding … so fresh and of the highest quality. Chilli oil and Chilli sauce were served on request and even these were very good. This is top quality dim sum, possibly the best I have had in the UK and up there with the best in Hong Kong. The problem with the TA reviews is probably caused by the service. It’s exactly like typical service in Hong Kong: fairly cold and offhand and if you don’t like it (especially if you’re a foreigner or a gweilo 😀 haha) then that’s really your problem and not theirs! I suspect that dishes that are not authentic Cantonese dishes (ie most of the typical meals on a Chinese menu in the UK) may not be that good here. But if you eat the stuff that the many Chinese customers are eating then the food will be amazing. They have this “take it or leave it”attitude because they are extremely confident that their food is very good and that the important thing is the food. And it really is. Even if you have to wait for it.

Used to be a quality Chinese but changed hands a few times now very salty food sweet and sour pork is awful meat was black in side obviously using cheap pork ! Always been expensive that was ok when you use to get quality ingredients been dining here for years but never again just had a takeaway which we get regularly the last time I said I wouldn’t get food from here again and did it was all poor quality even the char Sui is dark it was once a gorgeous restaurant never again !!!

Awful restaurant. Service is lacklustre. You’ll ask for things multiple times. They’ll forget stuff. Food arrives cold. Don’t bother. Much better value, with proper service next door.

The worst service from Chinese restaurants I have ever dined. Firstly, the waiter took our order wrong, then he tried to argue that I had ordered 2 portions of deep fried squid, in the end he accepted that it was a mistake and took one dish back, but when we received the bill he didnt remove the extra dish off the bill. We would have been charged overpriced if we hadn't checked.. We were also charged for 3 protions of boiled rice and been served only. They said there were 3 portions of rice in one bowl that is the same size as egg fried rice. I recommend checking your bill before paying, but don't dine here is the best way to avoid getting overcharged with very salty food.

If anyone tells you that there is a better Chinese restaurant in Liverpool they are most certainly wrong. The food is beyond excellent, hand made sui mai's are a must. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Liverpool. Authentic Dim Sum. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world including China and the Mei Mei ranks very highly. Staff freindly and attentive. Best Shanghai dumplings and Sui Mai in Liverpool.

Visted here during the Christmas period when I was visiting from London, it does hold a very good reputation despite the poor rating on trip advisor. The service was ok but they were very busy and staff were not as attentive as one would expect, at times you had to try and hunt down a waiter if you wanted something. We did order an extensive amount of food, on first glance the menu did appear to be on the higher priced end of things. There are two menus an English and a Chinese and the Chinese menu food looked way nicer. I think next time we will simply order off the Chinese menu, as I think the food is of better quality. The dim sum was lovely quiet small portions of 4 each so you would need a few to satisfy, the mains were delicious and the noodles were outstanding and different from your average chow mien.  The ribs were also great, we had no issues with the food as it was all very delicious.The service could have been better but we would go again, just don't expect a reasonable priced meal the prices are high in here.

Visité el restaurante hoy porque me apetecía algo de dim sum. Hay un extenso menú al vapor y frito y pedí tres: rollitos de primavera, rollitos de gambas fideos y pan de cerdo. Llegaron a tiempo, pero fueron muy decepcionantes: pesados, sin suficiente relleno y muy salados. He comido mucho dim sum y, lamentablemente, estos fueron los peores que he comido. La factura también fue muy alta. No había precios en inglés en el menú que me dieron y tontamente no pregunté.
