Happy Fryer in Liverpool

Ate here last month and I'm still In hospital

If they have a party order for a buffet there not bothered to serve you in the shop

I’d give it a minus if I could. Disgusting service over 2 hours wait to told different excuses when ringing back then putting the phone down is just rude!! Never again!!

FOod was vile and all I had was a pie dinner. Chips warmed up and stale, pie that tasted like it was cooked with radiation from a nuclear spill and peas that’s you could skim across water they were that hard.

Dirty slimy and rotten food should be closed

Everytime we want to order from here they never answer the phone

Only popped in pot of curry and some spring rolls . Not many chippys about here so not really spoilt for choice food fairly decent

Food is god awful, service if you can get it is god awful an sometimes your lucky to get chamge I don't mean things are expensive which they are I mean she literally won't give you your change.

Horrible chippy I'm surprised it hasn't been shut down I don't normally do reviews but this needs highlighting the chips are cold and horrible we ordered soup and there was a fly in it even waiting for the food looking around I regretted ordering before I did as it looks dirty and run down lights don't work and the walls are greasy and dirty after this I walk down green lane to a chippy half an hour away that's how bad it is it really needs health and safety going in also I was speaking to locals about my experience and they said it's a hit or miss chippy and when I mentioned the fly they laughed and said your not the only one it happens alot 🤢

Best Chinese in liverpool but the chips have gone horrible now really stale and dry

I phoned for 2 steak diners they said no steak I asked for 2 quarters of crispy duck they only had 1 and I thought it was just a one off but it’s happend a couple of times a week now for the last month absolutely scruffy chippy can’t even afford to buy stock will not be ringing again and when I did get steak it was tiny and like chewing an old leather boot stay away from this chippy if that’s what you can call it

The chippy with no food you will be lucky to get what you want they probably have to go shop an buy it or lend it off another chip shop they have nothing in stock bear essentially your lucky to get a sausage and chips

placed an order at 9.05 arrived 10.05 ordered chicken curry with rice no onions and 3 chop suey rolls , got the curry full of onion and only 1 chop suey roll .Used to be a decent take away now I'll avoid and spend my money elsewhere

Sorry guys meal usually lovely but 2 lots of different ribs tonite soo tough, honestly didn't enjoy at all waste of money, gutted soo looking forward to it😭

Bloody disgusting, chips where warm ups, pie was burned ,food was warm ,waited 30 minutes for the meal felt like driving off..one good thing came out of it the dog enjoyed it...never go back there if it was the only chippy in Liverpool

The food was amazing would recommend salt and pepper chicken it was orgasmic service was great and helpful although one worker was rude to the other worker

Rang 6.40 pm on a Sunday night for a meal to be delivered 20 minutes away. After several calls received meal finally at 8.30 p.m. Have had to heat up the meal as barely warm. Never again.

I ordered a meal for the family and it was one of the best we have ever had. Quick service and hot food. Even during this pandemic they seem to be very punctual and still making food of high quality. The owners themselves are lovely and bring a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step foot in there. I would give this 10 stars if I could, this truly is an amazing place I would recommend it to anybody!

Food was delicious! We ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup, crab meat and sweetcorn soup, BBQ spare ribs, crab claws, spring rolls and finally a house special chowmein. some of the best food me and my mum have tasted. Although, it's very unfortunate they do not have "OK sauce" meals as it was my favourite dish at one of their competitors. But none the less, thoroughly enjoyable takeaway!! Would definitely recommend. SUPER MEAL.

Lovely food takes its time to arrive but it is nice

You know what we order regular from this place now I no its busy during lockdown but when you phone up and ask how long and get told an hour for it to turn up over 2 hours later is taking the piss . I have no problem with waiting just be honest with your customers especially regulars

I have never met such unpleasant staff In my whole life. Was shouted at from the word go. Only ordered fried rice, chips and curry sauce, as they had run out of fish, even though there where 2 in the warmer for the 15 minutes I was in there. The older woman who could hardly speak English was very nasty. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked how much long it would be, to be told to come back in 15 minutes. I have never have, and will never be, spoken to by someone I am paying for goods.. Shame on you New happy fryer. I ended up walking out telling them they were and absolute joke. I will never ever go back to that chippy again. Please avoid.

Needs closing down absolutely disgusting. The whole meal went in the bin was and hungry and passing so decided to get a takeaway there. I've got to say it again needs a visit from food hygiene.

Terrible service ordered food at 6.00 pm then 2 hours later had a call confirming that they had no chicken breast then waited another 30 mins absolute joke never in my experience have a been treated like this before with a delivery.

Sometimes it's spot on, an sometimes it's not, pot luck.

Kitchen is spotless and open too chips are cooked fresh no warm ups also fish cooked as ordered also do both telephone ordering and deliveries portions are large good value for money x

Terrible chippy the woman behind the counter is most miserable woman you will ever meet, just been in as theres no other chippys nearby and she left a fella waiting nearly 20 mins and his food was already done, very poor service

I rang up my order was taken to then be waiting and waiting on delivery for no one to turn up with my order and the Chippy to close and leave me without my food I think is terrible in my opioin. If nobody was going to turn up then the order should not of been taken

Just got a meal sweet and sour vegetables with boiled rice was lovely. Service can't fault it. I will order again thanks happy fryer

The chowmein meals are the best, there's no chip shop I've come across that beats them, very tasty and lots of it.

Great food, however can take longer when busy. Manager on counter can sometime be miserable but friendly most of the time

Food is really nice, you need to try the Chowmein Dishes, they are amazing, I look forward to my Friday takeaway after a weeks work.

We are a care home that ordered afew meals for our service users.. horrified to be delivered RAW chicken...!!!! chips were disgusting!! Crispy salt & pepper chicken.. ? RAW and soggy!

We've been ordering regular chippy teas from the Happy Fryer for years, the food is usually very tasty but recently, it's just not the same. We don't know what it is but the food is not presented the same, it's as though ingredients have changed as it tastes bland. It's such a shame as the delivery is fast and the staff are great.

The last time we ordered from here the chips were awful guess what this time they were just as tasteless. We also ordered fried rice, bland and a mushroom omelette which was ok. Overall it was poor not value for money, also it took over an hour to arrive. Won't be ordering from here again.

We ordered a takeaway for delivery it came quite quickly, the food overall was pretty good but the chips were awful. They looked like leftovers, many of them had black marks as if the potatoes were out of date, so we didn't eat them. Disappointing because the food from here is usually very good. We got a free calendar though.

My mum just got us take away from here an honestly its bloody dissgusting my sister had chicken wings one was fine then got to the other it was very raw an still blood on the bone. I took pictures but wont let me post so but we have not had a problem with them till tonight. We will not be getting food from here no more disgusting suprised this place is still open

The BOSS fancied some noodles for supper so we ordered in a takeaway, we had chips, won ton soup, house special chow mein and fried rice. It was all tasty apart from the chips. Still big portions which we scoffed.

gave me curry sauce instead of gravy and i went into an allergic shock and had to go to A&E to get it sorted , called up later to tell them they messed up my order with gravy to curry and they didn't understand what i said and thought i was ordering another curry, i just hung up at that point

Ordered beef curry fried rice and chips. Chips were dreadful the beef had chunks of grysel in i want a refund for the teeth i have just lost biting into a chip. 2.9 rating worst chippy in old swan gone down hill this place not happy.

Decided to order a takeaway whilst we were watching the FA Cup Final, for once it was an excellent game. We ordered, fried rice, carton of curry, chips and duck in black green sauce. Very tasty plus we won our bet on the result of the game. Quick service food hot, fab.

Bought chicken fried rice it was horrible it was all stuck together and under cooked the only food I would buy again from there would be chip's

Absoulty discustine atitude on manager never smiles or greets customers always depressing looking an food isent upto much she makes i wouldnt recomend this chippy to anybody i have lived by the chippy since i was littl and shes never said hello or eavun smiled am a easy go person will chat an greet anybody

We have a good takeaway nearby but they do not deliver so if we don't fancy driving we order a takeaway from here. We ordered fried rice, spanish omelette, salt and pepper chicken pieces, carton of curry and chips. Delish. Quick delivery, fab.

Ordered a takeaway for me and the BOY for our tea, it was very good and we 'tucked' in. See photos for what we had, service was quick, food hot and it was good value. Fab.

We ordered a takeaway whilst we watched England play Scotland on the telly. We had rice, noodles, chicken and chips. Delish. The food was better than the football , although England won it wasn't a good performance .

Highly efficient good food and very competitive prices

We usually have a takeaway on a Saturday for our tea, but this Friday my daughters had called in straight after work. They were both tired and hungry so we ordered in a takeaway . When it arrived I realised that we had ordered too much, the portions are huge, however we all ate our fill and mixed and matched sharing everything. Nothing was wasted as the leftovers were eaten the next day. Food tasty , good value quick delivery.

Pedimos rollitos de primavera, arroz frito, Tortilla de champiñones, patatas fritas y verduras chow mein, las raciones eran grandes, especialmente el chow mein vegetal. Todos los platos muy ricos, les compartido entre los tres, pero había mucho más. Estas fueron consumidas al día siguiente y tomó dos de nosotros para terminar todo, aún era sabrosa. Gran relación calidad-precio, tuvimos que esperar un poco para la entrega, pero valió la pena.

Estábamos jugando scrabble y de repente nos dimos cuenta de que no tuvimos nuestro té así a la orden en nuestra decisided cena. Teníamos arroz, fideos, patatas fritas y una tortilla, muy agradable. Proporcionan una rápida entrega y la comida es deliciosa. La mala noticia era que perdí en el Scrabble.

Todos estábamos hambrientos y no me apetecía hacer nada, así que decidimos pedir comida para llevar. Así que llamó al orden y fue entregado en menos de 45 minutos, excelente servicio. Teníamos arroz, fideos, pollo y una tortilla, todo delicioso.

We traditionally have a chippy tea on a Saturday night and this week was was no exception . We had rice, noodles, chicken, chop suey rolls and chips. It was very tasty, we tend to share all of the dishes and each of us has a bit of everything . Super.

A Spanish omelette is one of my favourite chippy dishes, they do one with a thinner omelette outer but packed full of tasty bits. Yummy. They do lots of other good options too, plus they deliver. We have started to use them more and more.

The BOSS decided she fancied chippy for tea so she went to our usual preferred chippy but it was shut, fitting a new kitchen, so she went here which is as good but further away. We had Spanish omelette, rice and chips , delish.

March 2016 - Basic chips order but they were dreadful. I don't mind a reheat now and again but these were like cardboard. Won't be going again.

We had relatives visiting so we all watched the Everton game played at tea time. So we ordered our tea from the chippy. We ordered a variety of different dishes all very tasty and the Blues won so we were all happy. Good food and a good result.

I use this chippy twice a month at least. Food is lovely. Would be 5 stars but sometimes chips see to be warm ups bit all the time but occasionally.

We had not ordered from here for a while but we fancied a change and we were not disappointed. We had a range of different things, rice, noodles, chicken wings and salt and pepper chips. All delish, service quick and the food was hot when it arrived.

Have used them many times, good menu, especially the chicken, good portion. They deliver and the food is always hot. A very good chippy.

Not too good . Me partner was sick because of the fish not being cooked properly also I never got no sauce on me meal which I couldn't phone BK because they where closed. ... SPOILT EVERYTHING

This is a Chinese takeaway fish & chip shop with no sit in facillity and is a favourite of mine. Dont be fooled by the signs on the window that state they are the cheapest in the area as they are certainly not! The shop is not the best aesthetically pleasing as you may like and could certainly do with a bit of investment as it it really very tired and worn.My favourite dish is the special chow mein. Plentiful and fullfilling for the biggest of appetites. Another is the salt and pepper ribs. Especially if cooked fresh. The salt and pepper chips are very good as well.It can be hit and miss with normal chips. If you get a fresh batch then it will be thumbs up. Quite often I'm not so lucky so they are ones that have been sat in the warmer for a period of time.When getting a fish always ask for a fresh one. You wont be dissapointed.The curry rice and chips is always a favourite with the children, so much so they wont eat this meal from another local chip shop.There is a vast chinese and english meal array, so you certainly won't go hungary. Something for everybody.The shop takes telephone orders and does home delivery for an extra charge. It's well worth pre ordering at peak times.Just sometimes it would be nice to be served with a smile. There is one particular elderly lady who does nothing but scowel and is not at all customer focused. Well renowned for this in the area so don't feel it's just you, if you happen to visit.I don't think you will be dissapointed if you visit.

We've ordered takeaway many times & always find all meals are cooked perfectly, salt & pepper ribs, Singapore vermicelli, sweet & sour king prawn and more.. Can't fault the taste.. Best fish & chips by far in the area!! Fast delivery too which is always a bonus.
