Meet 'n' Eat in Torridge

My hubby and I have had lunch takeouts quite a few times from these lovely ladies. Very tasty, good value for money and very accommodating as hubby wanted curry n chips. He cant eat food too spicy so, guess what? With a little advanced notice, he was able to have a mild curry n chips which was amazing. I had the meatball baguette.. awesome .. go there! Do it! Eat and be amazed 😁

I came across this delightful cafe when I was walking along Fore Street in heavy rain on Friday. I had an hour to wait for my bus to Exeter and as soon as I stepped through the door, I was given a warm by all three members of staff. The cafe was spotlessly clean and warm and I could choose my table. A mug of excellent coffee and a large slice of delicious coffee and walnut cake which had been baked by one of the ladies was brought to me. I was invited to stay for as long as I needed to and offered another piece of cake to take away. I could use the free Wifi to track my bus and said farewell just as my bus was due to arrive. Every member of staff was cheerful and friendly and I will certainly return as well as well as telling others about this splendid cafe. A big thankyou to all of you for rescuing me from the wind and rain and brightening up my day.

Great food here and brilliant service by sue and the team, always happy and friendly. You don’t want to miss this place. Very highly recommended.

I'm a tad surprised there are not more reviews for this great little eatery. I've used a few times myself and never been disappointed with the food. Its doubly difficult, as I am gluten-intolerant, but the lady is not fazed at all. The food really is nice and very cheap. Go there. Now. Plain ordinary food, but extremely nicely cooked.

Lovely atmosphere. Great hosts and staff. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Tasty food and great value for money.

We are locals but had never been in there, beautifully clean and bright. The staff are fun and when I told them I had a food allergy they brought out a list of ingredients and talked me thru the menu so I could eat with confidence. The meat and eggs are locally sourced and cooked to order. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. Our new local I think.

Great food and great prices, staff are lovely and keen to make sure you’re happy. Lovely atmosphere and will definitely be back again.

On our way out of town and felt a little hungry so thought we would pop in to this cafe, we were greeted by this lady, called sue with smiles and made us very welcome, the food was amazing and the price for what we had was so good. Anyone who reads this you must check this out we sure are when we return.

What can I say about this place. The food was great value for money not to mention rasty. The staff were amazing. So friendly and jolly. I will definitely be back here when I am in the area next. Well done guys keep it up.
