Meeple Mayhem in Birmingham

Really disappointing to see what has become of this place. What used to be so friendly and full of life now feels like a soulless cash grab. NFTs? Really? I don't understand what has happened over the past year or two. This café has squandered its once great community and become something unrecognisable. Sure, the board games are still there, and the food is serviceable. But compared to what it was, that's just not enough for me anymore.

Good selection of games and owner is super kind. Really nice milkshakes and good food, very easy to lose track of time here! Best to go with partner/friends.

Great service really taste food. Would recommend for a great afternoon or evening gaming with friends or family. Will definitely return to try some new he's out.

First time in a board game cafe and loved it. Staff friendly and good atmosphere. Good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. Really enjoyed trying out new games and playing old favourites.

one of my favourite places to go, i always bring friends and/or family when i get the chance. the staff is always so friendly and the food is incredible, i’m vegan and the options for me are delicious, and everyone i’ve brought here said their meal was amazing. the board games they have are so fun and i’ve played a lot of games i didn’t even know about 100% recommend meeple mayhem to anyone looking for a fun afternoon/evening

A quirky gaming caffe in Edgbaston. Good atmosphere and large selection of games, can be overwhelming actually. Good food and drinks at a reasonable price.

Fantastic atmosphere. Took my 2 young kids, got some very fairly priced Pokemon cards and then had a fantastic time learning how to play Pokemon. George, was extremely accommodating. 10/10 would recommend

This place is great! Atmosphere is cool and the staff is also really friendly. You can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Used to visit the cafe a lot with friends, visited again recently as the cafe has re-opened evidently under new management. The man behind the bar was short with us, dismissive and unhelpful. Luckily as a group we were familiar with enough games but I don't imagine someone new to board-gaming would find much help. The menu has changed but despite having more options it still only has one dish suitable for vegan? Many of the menu items were not available on our visit either. For what use to be such a welcoming friendly place it now feels a bit soulless which is really disappointing.

Absolutely amazing day out for me, the wife and my 2 young boys. I would 100% recommend to anyone. We spent hours playing board games. Lots of child friendly games as well as a few adult ones to play with the wife such as Cards against Humanity. Food was lovely and staff where very accommodating. The manager George was extremely helpful and attentive to all of our needs. Definitely coming back :)

Had a great night out with some friends at Meeple. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food selection is good, which includes some vegan options, and the option to have draught beer, coffee and tea makes it really easy to stay for the long haul over a game or two. Love this place and would gladly recommend it to anyone who enjoys board games, very well priced, just an all around great time.

i came here with my friend last week, we had a great board game session and had an amazing vegetarian burger with fries. the range of board games suit pretty much anyone and there are so many to choose from. i have recommended to all my pals who like board games.

We celebrated our one year anniversary Saturday and being as board games was one of the first things we bonded over when we first met, we decided to spend the afternoon here and we was not disappointed! As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a warm welcome and was told to find our own seats and if we needed anything to just ask. Really good atmosphere, super friendly staff, wide range of board games and good food and drink. We only had nachos, but I saw that the burgers being freshly made and they honestly looked delicious, we'll definitely be back to try them sometime. We did order two milkshakes but unfortunately they only had enough ice cream left for one, so we had to share. But the one we had was delicious! It was a pleasure spending our anniversary afternoon with you, thank you so much.

I passed here on a Saturday. I really enjoyed my time. I was made to feel very welcome and would suggest everyone give it a try.

I had high hopes for this venue especially given its local to my home. However, I was extremely disappointed. The cafe was open from midday and altho' food was advertised from then we were not able to order until 1400. There were no side orders...

Lovely staff who knew their stuff; friendly vibes and I think if you arrived alone to join others this could work here. A fiver to get in but the choice of games makes this worth it. Parking could be a pain if driving; small selection...

Great place to play board games and try some you haven’t played before. Good for couples, groups of all sizes or solo but advise checking/booking a table with them. Can easily do by Facebook message :-)
