This is the best cafe I've found in Gillingham, the breakfast is outstanding and great value too 😬

My lady friend 🧡 loves her a Medway Cafe cooking up all her music with so many great foods 😋 giving us the energy to do the music & sports The lady at the pub across the road gave me some bags 🎒 of cabbage years ago 😳 what would go good in a vegetable bowl 🥣 Well done to all the Medway Cafe staff for a great service

Order on just eat must say I order a breakfast and a milkshake but unfortunately I got food poisoning from your food the milkshake was so lumpy I will never order from this cafe again

This cafe has gone above and beyond to make my dad's day. He's been in hospital 6wks and has been going on about a cooked breakfast. Just Eats didn't deliver from here to the hospital today. I didn't want to disappoint my dad, spoke to the cafe and they have gone above and beyond 💝💝💝.... they are going to deliver the breakfast themselves. My dad is absolutely amazed... And I can't thank the cafe enough.... absolutely brilliant. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ❤️.... you've made my dad smile 😊

we normally use this cafe every week, and the last 2 times it's been wrong as they obviously haven't paid attention to the notes left to them. was very disappointed with food today as they mucked my order again, wasn't very hot and omelette didn't taste cooked properly.

Been coming regularly for mug of tea £1 and glass of hot choc. £2.50 since cafe further down, put tea up to £1.30. Also had good orange juice and vanilla milkshake previously.

The dinner was so hard I couldn't eat it more chips than dinner

I ordered the burger and it tasted like liver also something hard in the meat almost chip a tooth. Complete waste of money wouldn’t come back food is in the bin.

Had more chips and rice than curry curry was tiny that was the mean why ppl go for curry alway nice and taste beautiful

The curry was dry no sauce x no taste want b having again as couldn't eat so had any dinner not happy

Obviously don't read the notes. Asked for no tomato and hashbrowns to be put in burger. Got tomato and separate hashbrowns. My autistic son went mad. No onions in 3 meals that should have had them and way too much gravy.. Poor service, disappointing.

Egg wasn’t well done so I will give 1star for that reason (no opinion to collect well cooked)

A really good old school café with food and atmosphere to match. If you were ever a kid who'd go out with your mum and dad or even grandparents to a market on a weekend then it wouldn't surprise me if you went somewhere like this. It's not fancy or snooty, it's relaxed, home-y and just old school. If you don't know what that means then I honestly think you may have missed out on some great memories growing up. For those looking for more specific information, the foods great, the options are plenty including Vegetarian and the price is affordable.

Absolutely disgusting! Over an hour late. Reheated food. Chips like cardboard. burger buns turned to mush, all salad turned to mush in burgers. Brown lettuce. Cheese missing from burgers. Will never order again!

Asked for beans, got tinned tomatoes but food was good.

Orders sausage and bacon baguette. Order arrived with only bacon and it was just one piece of bacon. So mainly just a baguette. Phoned the cafe to rectify it and they just claimed they hadn’t done any just eat orders today.

My favourite cafe. Excellent food, and wonderful service. The staff are really lovely.

Used to be a really good cafe but you wait a long time now even when it's empty. The waitress is nice but I've been disappointed the last few times I've been here. When I visited a few months ago while pregnant I was told I could not have a panini and that I had to have a toasted sandwich and the cook was drinking Stella behind the counter. I gave it another chance and waited 45 mins for a bacon sandwich.

The food was really greasy and over cooked were the food felt rubbery. Most of it was chucked.

Scammers!! We ordered on Uber Eats for collection. We received a notification to collect the food after 30mins. I arrived at the shop, and the food WAS NOT ready; they HADN’T EVEN STARTED PREPARING THE FOOD! NOTHING WAS COOKED! They argued with us, saying the food would take another 40mins to prepare when we queried why we told the order was ready to collect. We told them to cancel the order. Instead of cancelling the order, these CROOKS marked the food as collected and refused to give us a refund, and Uber will not provide a refund as the merchant marked the food as collected. We are in a cost-of-living crisis, and this business is cheating local people. Order online at your own risk!

Nice people and reasonable prices

Roast dinner was awful. Drowned in gravy, cold vegetables, undercooked, soggy potatoes, soggy, fatty pork. Soggy Yorkshire pudding. I gave it to the dog. Paid for an egg burger that didn't have an egg in it. Omelette was dry. Tiny scampy pieces that were overcooked. Dry dessert cakes. They put custard on the apple pie. It was not asked for and rendered the pie inedible due to allergies.

Overpriced and small portions. Had tea which tasted like warm water.

Ok, so this was our first visit to the cafe, and before I go on , I was impressed. As soon as we walked in the two staff members where attentive and super friendly, made us feel really comfortable and welcome, We ordered two set breakfast and two cold drinks , both breakfast came with a hot drink and either toast or bread and butter , when the breakfast’s turn up they where piping hot and delicious, I would say for a fried breakfast they looked clean and not greasy, Amazing. And the price was super reasonable, one of the best value breakfasts we have had We will definitely be returning for both the service and the food . Well done 👍

Food was very nice and the bubble was excellent… however, £11 for a breakfast I would expect more than a slice of tomato, hardly a portion and the breakfast didn’t come with either the option of tea/coffee or bread/toast and no condiments were supplied …

Not good today I’m afraid . Sausages were inedible as they tasted off ? Got no tomatoes with my order either . Very disappointing as its usually nice . Do better

Good food got exactly what I asked for and arrived 20 mins early

Only downsides were that the eggs didn’t have runny yolks and delivery time was very long (1 hour 25 minutes) which is understandable because Sundays are busy times for cafes. Other than these bits I enjoyed the breakfast

I was missing the drink I ordered

Waited over and hour for a 2 baguettes and 2 hash browns and inside the baguette was on slice of burnt bacon and half a sausage in each half

The food was cold and waited over a hour and half

we waited 1and a half hours for three breakfasts consisting of 1 egg, 1 rasher bacon 1 sausage and some beans and bubble. x 2 and 1 had tomato and chips. the meals were all cold, the eggs hard and falling apart one was in pieces it was the worst meal I have every had. and cannot believe that it took 1 and a half hours to prepare. I woild notorder again from there nor recommend the place

Luke warm food disgusting had to give most of it to my dog not happy.

Ordered a full english "belly buster" and got a teaspoon sized black pudding and a mouth full of bubble with maybe 8 mushrooms. Absolute waste of money

Hardly any filling in baguette and baguette was hard in places like it had been left out for a while

I actually couldn’t believe what turned up . The only Place I know to throw a baguette in a silver tray with oil in the bottom all the stuff had fallen out the baguette . Also paid for a 12oz orange juice . Received a 200ml Carton . Rubbish wouldn’t recommend
