Great afternoon service was excellent.

Welcomed by Kiera, who was very friendly and helped us with our drinks. All staff were lovely and helpful!

DO NOT GO HERE! Was charged £21.80 for a vodka lemonade and vodka Diet Coke. Showed a bank statement of the price charged to the manager who was very unhelpful and rude and said he’d give the barman £100 bonus for “doing his job” despite telling us himself it’s “£8.50 each” eventhough we didn’t ask for double measurements. Disgusting behaviour!

Very good service and super yummy 😋🤤 foods. Shame I am not living close to this restaurant, but will go as much as possible.

We went to the downstairs restaurant Mamma Mia for pizza and pasta and the food was good, staff were polite and professional and courteous, great place to come for a family meal

AVOID! I took my partner here for dinner one evening and we will definitely not be returning. The food was cold and to be completely honest, disgusting. The prawns smelt as if they’d been sat in the sun all day!! It was very clear that all of our tapas dishes had hardly been touched because of how awful it was, I raised this to one of the staff members (who all had long hair and not tied up when serving food), who just looked at me in a panic and apologised. I expressed the dissatisfaction on not only the food but the service we received. A few days later I emailed the manger expressing the disappointment in our visit and the amount of money I had paid for it. There was very little remorse or offer to try and resolve this and now for 5 months I have been promised I would have a refund and I have simply ignored me time and time again. I really would avoid this place, I really have never been so disgusted with the level of customer service as I did this day. The food is awful!! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Starters were nice but mains were pretty basic. Very empty for a Saturday night and we were rushed out by staff when they wanted to go upstairs to focus on the bar.

Went a few days ago. Said hello to staff was ignored. Staff member who serves us are drink seamed to be in a bad mood never said a word to us. Went for the half price cocktails they tasted watery and not very strong compared to when I've gone and payed full price for 1.

DONT BUY COCKTAILS IN A JUG!!! we went last night and over heard the guy say to another bar staff that she made it wrong and that it should only be 3 cocktails worth in a jug, you pay £28.50 for it to be in a jug where as 3 cocktails on their own would only be £26.70 so you’re paying £1.80 extra for the privilege of it being in a jug not a glass. I did question this and was given the excuse of well that’s how we do it just because it’s a jug doesn’t mean you should save money which ok but it definitely shouldn’t cost you more! Apparently this is standard practice in any medbar so just a heads up to anyone thinking jugs seem more cost effective they are not!

Food and drinks were OK. Worth a visit

I was cycling through , just got off the ferry terminal and needed lunch so took a seat here as tapas / beer was just what I needed. I was v quiet. No one came. So I ended up walking indoors. One person behind the bar. Had to ask for menus and they were pointed out to me. So I took one. Got a drink and sat outside With the menu. The place was very quiet. Staff milling about. Clearing up. , generally keeping themselves occupied. I was getting bored. I was there ages. The previous table had upped and left. My drink was half done and the staff member came and cleaned their table. I sat there like a lemon . No eye contact. No follow up. Nothing. So I decided to not eat and just wait out my drink. More staff come and go. Walk upstairs. And back. There were no customers inside and by then I’m the only person there. Eventually , with menu in hand , same staff member comes and asks if I need anything. Just the bill as I’d been there ages. She brought the machine. Knowing I had a menu I asked from her. And I paid for my drink. And cycled on to Brockenhurst where I was treated like an actual customer Hey , I’m a small business owner. You get from a business what you put into it. You deserve this review. I go out of my way to look after my customers. This was shocking and I am a spender. Except you don’t want business ? No idea what this was about. No one could be bothered. Not in any degree. Not from when I arrived to when I left. Shocking. You won’t stay in business long if this is how you deal with affluent business owners to are willing to spend and leave a good review for you. Get a grip. Well done to the snakecatcher Brockenhurst. That is how it should be done.

Great drinks , food and service

Medbar Hythe hosted a fabulous drag evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by our table. The food was lovely, the cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere was great! I would definitely recommend the piña colada!! Thank you Medbar for a great evening!

Staff were attentive and drinks did not take too long to arrive (considering they were cocktails and it was busy). I don't drink vodka so there could be more choice of cocktails on the menu. Also would be good to have the option of mocktails on the menu rather than having to ask.

Went there with work mates first trying there cocktails 🍸 👌 trying 3 different ones 2👍❤

Good cocktails and faultless table service!

Disappointed. I didn't realise that this restaurant was an extension of the Cocktail Bar upstairs. Small room, 5 TV screens, loud music and average food. The lighting alone does not allow you to see what you are actually eating. The side salad is lettuce, raw onion and two pieces of tomato and cucumber. The rice was dry and the lamb chops were small and tough. Not a lot to shout about really, will not be going their again. Bit surprised when the waitress asked to take our plates away and I actually had a fork full of food in my hand waiting to eat! Pay attention at least!! Left the restaurant with the staff sat at the window tables on laptops and no attention paid to the clientele leaving. Call me old fashioned but what happened to customer service !!??

Fabulous Bottomless Bruch. Superb value for money. Great friendly service. Perfect location. Fantastic food. A truly bottomless Brunch. We didn’t have to ask for top ups, the super friendly attentive staff made sure of that. Staff made it even more special by presenting the Birthday Girl with a firework cocktail and extra glasses of fizz. It was a perfect afternoon. Thank you so much Med Bar Hythe. ❤️

Superb staff, superb food, superb service. We went to Medbar for my partners birthday and it was awesome. The extra special service we got for my partners birthday really made the visit speial.Had a fantastic dinner and the service was awesome. We will deff be going back and would recommend Medbar to anyone popping in for food or a cocktail.

Nice place Security search when going in Nice fellas expensive on drinks and atmosphere brilliant for a night club. All staff friendly and firm when night has finished. Just a good night out

I went to Medbar in Hythe last nightwith friends for the first time. We had some food, enjoyed the 241 cocktails and had a dance. Although I don't rate the seafood paella or the piña colada there was a good selection of food and cocktails to choose from. Mostly though I was impressed with the staff. They were very attentive but not pushy. They came to check just before happy hour ended to see if we wanted a last 241. When we moved upstairs to dance we left a full drink downstairs and a member of staff came up to check if we wanted it before clearing it away. Nearer the end of the night 2 of our party went outside and weren't coming back in and the guy who seemed like the boss came to tell us and to collect any belongings they had left. And they gave us bottles of water while we were waiting for the taxi. It was a fun night, good music, good cocktails and were looked after by really thoughtful staff team.

Fantastic restaurant and bar. Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Its great to see a late night venue in Hythe. The music was excellent catering for all ages.

No prices on the drink menu. Waitress had to memorise the prices to answer us which took a while. (This is also against the law) We got two small soft drinks but was charged for 2 pints. We had to get that changed. Tapas was 3 for £15, this wasn’t shown on the receipt and we had to query that as well. Food was okay, nothing amazing. Staff are super friendly and seem to be doing the best out of what they are given. The location is great, especially the outside seating area.

Only went here for pre drinks before a meal elsewhere. Staff were nice and service good. We were seated and told it was two for one on all cocktails which was a nice surprise, long Island and epresso martini were good, Pina colada wasn't great was very watery not really sure how they could make it watery, possibly cheap pinaple juice ? Anyway good overall.

Nice place to go for a catch up, although found the music a bit loud when your trying to talk and please stop keep coming over asking if we want more drinks! Literally just ordered some and they came over asking again. It's too much I'm sure people are quite capable of asking when they need more! It got a bit annoying after a while!

Nice bar in Hythe. Really good food and an excellent cocktail menu. Service is excellent with really friendly servers.

Was very excited to go as I am a cocktail lover but ended up with a disappointing and rushed Zombie that tasted like aniseed. Good atmosphere and music and nice to see people smiling in Hythe.
