I'd not tried many Meantime beers but had some at Charlton Athletic's ground before visiting the Meantime Tasting Room. I was pleasantly surprised by their range of beers. The Donut Dunkle was excellent. For food, I had an Angus Stak burger which was also excellent. A lovely atmosphere, clean toilets and very friendly staff made for a great evening.

Disappointing. Serves the same beers you can get seemingly everywhere these days, no brewery specials. No atmosphere. Perhaps worth a visit if you are very nearby but not worth seeking out.

Almorcé en este restaurante un domingo de noviembre. La habitación no estaba llena y tomamos una gran mesa. Pedí una cerveza sin filtrar sin filtrar que era superlativa y una hamburguesa que era buena. El costo de 17 GBP fue correcto

Este lugar está un poco escondido pero siempre he tenido una gran experiencia. Como era de esperar, mientras tanto, saben que son cervezas. Recientemente han comenzado a tener algunos nuevos más interesantes para probar también. Solo he comido una vez, estaba bueno y la porción era generosa. Volveremos

We were really excited to visit the brewery to have some beers and eat. While they have lots in bottles, the tap selection was pretty limited for a brewery tap room. As for the food, it was mediocre to poor bar food. I definitely wouldn't go back as there are much better breweries and restaurants all over London....so there is no reason to settle for average.

Thank you to all the staff at Meantime Bar last night, they really looked after us and we had a great time! Food platters were generous portions and very tasty. The beer was excellent as you would expect. Street fighter 2 brought back nostalgic memories too! Free beer for the whole party was cherry on the cake. Thanks again

Been here a few times for drinks and food and whilst the place is pretty nice (apart from the toilets) the staff leave a lot to be desired. Not sure why staff at such a tourist hotspot would be so cold to the people who frequent it. Staff laugh and joke amongst themselves and seem really to be having a good time. Customers seem to be a bit of an inconvenience to be honest and if the staff were half as nice to the customers as they are to each other this place would be a winner. The place also seems to open and shut when they feel like it. I've been turned away for drinks on a fair few evenings at around 8pm as the place wasn't deemed busy enough to serve. A really annoying habit for a multi national company like Asahi who are trying to spread the gospel of their admittedly tasty beer. On another note the mens toilets in here are also appalling.....really, really dirty. All in all, a pretty poor experience and if you want a better Meantime experience try the branch in West Greenwich. It isn't run as a staff club and they seem to care about their customer experience.

On our must recent visit the bar was lively, had atmosphere ... then the kitchen closed. Brewery taps need food! Also a few of the less common Meantime beers on tap would be good.

Popped in for a quick drink on the way up to the Royal Observatory. Really nice quirky place with a lovely outside area. Only had drinks but the food did look nice also too. For the size of the place the toilet situation was a little small, and not the cleanest which was a bit of a letdown. Would go back again if visiting the area however. Prices are typical for London and the area.

Do lado da fábrica da Meantime ( que não fizemos o tour) fica o bar que serve as cervejas da mesma marca. Excelentes cervejas - IPA, stout e outras. O Bar é amplo, rustico e tem um petisco mito que da tranquilamente para umas 03 pessoas. Bem perto de parada do ônibus e no caminho para quem vai a Emirates cable. Para amantes de cervejas recomendado. Chance de conhecer uma das melhores cervejas locais da Inglaterra.

Devoid of the usual brewery tap atmosphere. A walk from central Greenwich. I wouldn't recommend you go out of you way... If you do the food looked good..

The restaurant is great. The beer is obviously fantastic (you at least know why toe expect!) but the food is delicious. We ordered the meat platter for just under £20 and it was extremely filling and every part of it was yummy! We also ordered a side of fries which were crispy and really well cooked. We will definitely be coming back!

Always a pleasure to enjoy a pint in this friendly bar. Although, being attached to the brewery, the bar is obviously mostly about the beer but the food is good too. A simple menu but cooked fresh to order. The bar is often quiet but gets busy when the brewery tours kick out.

We went in for a cup of tea. What a very pleasant place. The decor is so interesting and the waitress was lovely. Her name was Jess. We decided to have a cream tea. Two scones and jam and cream and a pot of tea. Very good value. We will definately go again.

Arrived last night for dinner at 9pm, having checked their website that states that you can eat until 10pm and drink until 10:30pm only to be told that they'd just shut the kitchen.

Only popped in for a quick cuppa prior to a booked visit to the Old Naval College - nothing to give the impression drinks/snacks was ok as it looked like it was for dining. No menu for snacks but the waiter was able to tell...

Great beer, tasty filling food, pub type choice. Importantly, saves staggering off somewhere else! What more can one say?

I brew beer myself, but without the economies of scale of an operation like this, so I know how much it costs. No transport or long term storage costs here either. Fantastic beer, but the prices are outrageous beyond belief.

I used to love taking my visitors to this bar and restaurant because of the lovely beer garden and the tasting platter of their own craft beers. Went there again recently and found to my disappointment that they no longer do the tasting platter. Bring back the tasting platter!!

Just finished a tour with Big Al aka The Legend this man really knows his stuff and is so entertaining truly worth 5 stars if you haven't been on the tour yet what are you waiting for 2 hours of fun beer and entertainment........ fantastic time Thank you Big Al

We stumbled across this friendly bar and restaurant whilst attempting to walk the Thames path from the O2 into Greenwich. After an hour's walking and wishing we'd taken the train instead, we found ourselves at the Meantime brewery bar. Tempted by the beers on offer, we ended up staying for lunch which was excellent. Good choice of sandwiches, burgers and sharing platters all freshly cooked and tasty. Free samples of a new beer and best of all, our lovely waitress even drew us a map to ensure we completed our journey to the Cutty Sark. We will go back soon to do the brewery tour and pick up some of their delicious beers. Highly recommended.

We visited the Meantime restaurant on one of the hottest days of the year so it was great that we could dine in the courtyard.The menu was quite varied and the service was good.We had the dressed crab which was reasonably priced.We also tried their home made lager which was very good.Will come back when next in the area.

This is mainly a place to taste the beers of the Meantime Brewery but food is also available. Typical pub grub fare. The Fish and chips I had were good enough and on another occasion I had a burger which was a bit average.

Stopped in for a pint, just to have a look about. Interesting way the bar has been set up so you can see into the brewery. Knowledgeable staff who let me try every larger (5 of them!) before picking a pint! Sadly missed out on food as I arrived just after 3PM when the kitchen shut.

Tasting Rooms is the pub section stuck onto the side of the Meantime Brewery. The decor is quite nice with an industrial feel, as though the brewery is built into it. They have sports on the TV's and do some nice events such as live bands.

I was already a huge fan of the Meantime beer when we visited the Tasting room, their range of different beers and spirits is superb, every staff member I encountered was polite and friendly and the food is absolutely lovely, highly recommended.

After going around the museum we went to the Meantime Bar and Restaurant for a drink. There is a good variety of beers on sale and at reasonable prices for London. The garden area outside is a pleasant place to sit. We did not sample the food, but we did order a bowl of triple cooked chips which were lovely. The food being brought out to other tables looked good. Friendly staff and efficient service.

The Beer, of course. I had the 4 glass sampler as recommended by the Bar man. A very nice young gentleman with whom the conversation quickly became all about Game of Thrones & fan theories, which we were both in 100 % agreement with!

This place was great, we didn't eat but the food I could see looked great. The beers were really good and next time we are around I'll be going back for sure.

Though I was a big fan of the previous incarnation as well I do like the changes of recent times that have come about with new management. Very good menu and great selection of drinks that is not just limited to Meantime. Friendly staff too and great outdoor area still the same for basking in summer sunshine in such historical surroundings.

My husband and I ate here after our brewery tour. We both had fish finger sandwiches and wow they were huge! I couldn't finish all of mine and I love food!! The fish was good and the sandwich was really nice as were the chips that went with it. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we were served in a reasonable time. No complaints at all from us. I would recommend.

Awesome for a evening out a round for four is an average 23 quid for drinks and food is a surprise ..it s really tasty go for it guys meantime beer is a must have and ask the bartender for beer options you will not be disappointed

Only had a flute of 4 1/3s as I was working that night but will be back for more and hopefully a tour of the Brewery - great seating area and well stocked shop!

Went to the 'Tasting Rooms' with colleagues for lunch a few times....food is not bad (except for the 'London Particular' which was NOT served as the soup normally is!!! DON'T order it: it was just warm broth with peas!!) : portions are quite generous, sandwiches are served with chips or salad, prices are OK! The major problem is the service: we had to wait over 30 minutes for food...when the restaurant was not busy at all (3-4 tables max! can't imagine when it IS busy!!). In addition, we noticed that members staff of the Meantime Brewery Company (the only customers with us in the restaurant, by the way!) were served before us!!!! If you visit for lunch, make sure you wear a hoody/high vest with 'Meantime' written on it: you might get your food in 5 min!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed!!!

we visited this restaurant after our visit to the meantime brewery tour. live music was on, great blues, friendly helpful staff that looked after your every need. great steak dinner, we all loved it

Despite the prices, and other reviews below, sorry I disagree, very slow service and substandard meals, my wife had jacket potato which not only took an age to come, when it did arrive, the potato and beans were clearly reheated and the salad look so limp it would make an old guy in a nursing home look more excited !

After spending several hours visiting the wonderful old buildings designed by Christopher Wren at the Old Naval College at Greenwich we located this oasis near the visitors shop. The menu was more than adequate and we had a pleasant lunch washed down a good cup of coffee. The young lady serving was very helpful and good at her job. It was good to get fed and have a nice long rest before venturing onto The Cutty Sark.

This bar is not in the most obvious spot but when you find it you'll have a pleasant surprise. It is a brewery and it offers many local beers...and all of them served chilled. If the day is sunny it is lovely to stay in the yard and watch the passers-by. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy.

Went there on Saturday for a light lunch; the ambiance is very pleasing, with a good mix of people. It wasn't too crowded. Food was very good, especially the chips which were as you get in a good fish and chip shop. I had devilled whitebait.

We popped in on a Sunday afternoon, had a couple of beers and decided to have dinner. The menu looked good, including the veggie options (risotto or spinach stuffed parcel), I went for the parcel that said it came with mash and a dressed salad, however the accompianments were meagre, resulting in an unfulfilling meal. I was very envious of my friends generous portions, just because I like healthy food doesn't mean I don't have an appetite!

Visited head office at Blackwall Lane near the 02. Had amazing food and beers! To anybody who thinks £4 plus is an expensive pint feel free to go back north to Canary Wharf just the other side of the river. £4 won't get you a craft beer and great atmosphere...

Had a lovely roast chicken lunch with my partner here in the outdoor garden. First trip up to the bar, when I placed the order for drinks and food together just after 12.00 noon, was fine. Over one hour later and no-one had collected our dirty plates from the table, so I removed them to the counter itself, as I didn't want to look at chicken carcasses all afternoon.

This was far better than we expected it to be in such a touristy location. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived, even though it was packed. We sat outside, and enjoyed a lovely lunch - I had a great mozzarella salad and friends had sea bass with potatoes which by all accounts was very good. We enjoyed wine and their beer. We never felt rushed, even though they were busy. Definitely go back

You can't just visit Meantime for their shop or their tour - you NEED to stop for a bite to eat!

This is a Craft beer Brewery , Of which it does very well , Being more of a Real drinker I was pleasantly surprised as their is a Slight difference in both type of Beers The Bottled IPA beer. 7.4 % % !! Was my favourite. The food is OK . The prices of both beer & food Represent the Area it's in , And are more or less the same as The Bars in the Northern quarter in Manchester. £4.50 -£ 5.00 which Is where I'm Visiting from . Would recommend a visit if your in this part of the World

Went for lunch and had an excellent meal, good service, the only surprise was the lack of a beer menu, although I was offered a tasting so was more than happy with my choice of beer!

Ate here on a Saturday night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty too - We had the burger and the soft shell crab. Both delicious!

Stopped here on a very hot summers day. I had come to Greenwich to see the sights and had spent a few hours in the National Maritime Museum. It was very hot and i stumbled on this great spot. It is very large and has a huge and well atttended beer garden. It is also right next door to the Greenwich Experience which is free attraction giving the history of the area. The restaurant is very impressive with quite a few brewing vessels which are in use and brewing Menatime Specialty Ales. I didnt eat as i had alreadt eaten but i read the menu and the looked nice and was reasonably priced. I had a pint of Yakima Red Ale and it was just what the doctor ordered. I took The Docklands Light Rail (DLR) out to Greenwich as i read the water boat services were £16.50 but i noticed while there that the cost of a riverboat trip back to Central London was only £6.50 with an Oyster card.

We stopped here for lunch after being dropped off at the pier. This was the best beer we've had since getting in London 5 days ago. I had the ribs, they were absolutely delicious, and I am a picky rib eater. Would definitely come back.

This place had the best beer in London I had so farm. The food was delicious and they have something for everyone. I had the chicken and mushroom pie. My wife had baby back ribs. They were both delicious.

We, I love Meantime beer so whilst in Greenwich thought we would have a couple of beers and a spot of lunch. There was only one lady serving the other chap was eating and playing with his phone. To be fair the woman serving was doing a very good job explaining the beer ect to the customer but clearly had no spacial awareness of the other people waiting so after 10 minutes we walked sort it out Meantime.

We popped in for a couple of drinks and something to eat before going to The Brewery for a tour. The staff were all super friendly and there were lots of them around. We ordered a couple of beers that were fab. And we ordered a Charcuterie platter for 2 to share and a side of chips. The chips were great but the Charcuterie platter was a little disappointing. The meats weren't great but the bread, pickles and chutney were good. We would go back again though and maybe order something different. Great spot on a sunny day x

If you are around Greenwich you must visit this place, is just around the corner from the cutty sark. The brew some of the best beers in town, with a broad range of options; from lager, through API and their famous stout! Recommended! Food is not that great though!

Numa tarde de sol, o bom é ficar nas mesas externas para tomar as cervejas produzidas no próprio local. O restaurante é bastante informal, mas não é barato não. O atendimento é diferente do habitual: você vai no caixa e paga a sua despesa antes. Pelo menos foi assim com as bebidas!

This bar and restaurant is in a great position next to the Royal Naval College right by the river. There are lots of outdoor seats to sit and enjoy food and drink.

This is a wonderful building, the garden is beautiful for sitting out in and enjoying a late weekend brunch. We ordered the English breakfast which was delicious - the food is really worth a visit - but it did get walked around the garden because the waitress didn't know the tables. I wasn't offered any sauces, my accompanying tea came without milk and sugar, when I asked for milk I was given a plastic drinking cup full.... The team who were serving tables in the garden only started part way though our visit. This resulted in getting pretty awful service from them because we had already ordered for and paid for our food at the bar they didn't come over to us at all (or any other table in a similar situation) when actually they could easily have sold more drinks to us if they'd tried and we'd have been able to enjoy the experience for longer. I felt like they were only working for tips so not interested in any other tables, apart from clearing things away as if we weren't really wanted. I thought it would be more normal when taking empty glasses to find out if we were wanting to order more, looks like missed sales to me. This place could be amazing as the food and the setting are stunning. Will try again in the future as maybe was just an off day

Sat outside in the beer garden out back on a sunny Friday evening in Greenwich for a couple of libations. Had a sampler which allowed a taste of whichever 6 beers you want. Then had a pint of my favorite. Great way to start a weekend.

This place is between the Naval College and the pier and a good place to sit outside with a drink on a sunny day. They have a number of tables outside (we had to wait for a minute on a Saturday) most of which have umbrellas. The tables are waited, so we sat down and caught the attention of a waiter and ordered some drinks and peanuts. We then relaxed and enjoyed the weather.

This is a lovely little venue that is out of the way. I'd been here for drinks previously and enjoyed the bar. People may say the drinks are 'over priced', but that's London prices in general!

Great place! Nice quiet location, perfect for chilled Saturday arvo beers. Pricing on the spirits is a bit hefty.

Visited here as a one off on a family day out and was thrilled to find this place as all we wanted was a snack and a drink, so this place seemed perfect. No such luck, we spent about 20 minutes trying to find a table, ok, yes it was busy but still, no help or even an acknowledgement from the many staff running around like headless chickens. Once we found a table, we took it, even though it was covered in what seemed to be split sticky beer. We had to find a menu from another table and quickly decided what we wanted, we waited yet another 10 minutes for a waitress, we may as well have been invisible. After about 20 minutes of more waiting, we asked a passing waitress to take our order who then asked another waitress to take it, which took a further 10 minutes to happen. So one hour later and our order had just been taken. Drinks arrived fairly quickly but we waited a good 25 minutes for just a cheeseboard and a creme caramel. No criticism regarding food whatsoever, cheeseboard was absolutely lovely and was just what I needed. After finishing we had been there at least 2 hours now and needed to get off to a show we had booked. We tried to grab a waitresses attention but again no such luck. When we finally got one and asked politely for the bill she replied 'I'm busy, one second, find someone else'. As a waitress myself I was absolutely beside myself with the rudeness, if someone asks for the bill, it is given, no exceptions! The same waitress returned about 10 minutes later bringing yet another waitress with her and saying 'settle this mans bill, I'm busy and don't have time' so we were left with now our third waitress to take our bill. I will not return to this establishment even for the cheeseboard, we left swiftly and could not get out quick enough. I do not feel my custom was valued in the slightest, needless to say I did not leave a tip, the prices are high enough. I would avoid unless you aren't bothered by bad service!!!

The reviews here rate Meantime as a nice place for a beer (which it is; though to be honest there are 100 nice little places in Greenwich where you can have good beer in the sun. Even the Nandos and Byron next door have decks literally overlooking the river). What we discovered however was - in my humble opinion - THE most aggressive pricing of a kids menu I have ever come across.

Had a celebration birthday gathering. (Not reserved). Good atmosphere. Busy pub. Tried lots of different beers/ales. Greenwich is a good location.

The place is perfect for a relaxed lunch. There’s loads of space inside and if the weather is nice there is plenty of tables outside. The beer menu is huge with products from all over the world. Food menu is not that impressive and unfortunately none of us found it very exciting. The food was not bad but it was nothing to remember and crave to go back to this place.

Great hosting by Big Al, great beer. Ideal day out for friends and family alike. Not a lot more to be said really.

Good own beer selection for all tastes, lager, stout, pale ales etc. plenty of staff serving, was a bit quiet on the weekend. Not a lot of atmosphere really, if you want a friendly pub or bar this is not for you. Location is quite good next to the visitor centre, however toilets need attention as the outside ones were not great and the inside ones actually worse and not that clean either. Beer and wine quite pricey but that's london for you.

We went to the Greenwich meantime for lunch, we were dissapointed with the food and service. Had to ask where our food was after 1/2 hour. It came straight away, had been standing ready a while, I think. If you like chips with their skins on you will like the fish and chips.

Was taken back how dear the beer was seeing they brew it themselves and no delivery costs involved, might as well had a pint of meantime in my local which i may add actually tasted better, won't bother going again unless bring prices down no wonder place was empty £4.60 a pint is a joke.

Dropped in for lunch with a friend on what seemed like the first day of spring. A nice, light and airy space inside, but good seating outside, which we opted for. Excellent hot dishes for lunch all washed down with some lovely beer from the exciting and modern Meantime Brewery. Good, friendly service too. Seems as though the folks who work there like working there, and that usually recommends and place pretty well to me.

I visited this venue several times and I have to say every time is a pleasure. I suggest to try the Meantime beer from the casks first, Jakima Red is my favourite. The bottled beer selection covers the whole wish list of a beer lover with different beers from all over the word.

My wife booked this place for my birthday

We popped in here last weekend for a bite to eat and to try out the new local opening. Of course the beer is incredible but we left feeling a bit put out by the price of the food and how average it really was.

This restaurant is converted from an old brewery. It divided into bar and restaurant or cafe. The cafe area shows you part of the old site, while the bar is good for beer people. After a visit to Greenwich museums, it's a good spot to sit and rest before your walk again.

After touring the Greenwich observatory, some friends and I popped by a local pub for lunch. A local overheard us complimenting the meantime beer and turned us on to the brewery. It was a quick walk, but well worth the hike. The beer is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm, the gift shop is well stocked to take samples home, and the hospitality is second to none. For any craft beer enthusiast; local or visiting in the Greenwich area, this establishment is a must see for anyone seeking a good local taste.

Found out about this brewery after going to The Union in Greenwich. We had a few Meantime drinks there but then found out about the Meantime Brewing Company just a few blocks away and decided to visit. It was a great place! Try half Yakima red and half London Pale Ale for a great taste!

For anyone, local or visiting, seeking a top notch brewery experience would be well served to have at least one drink at the Meantime Brewing Company.

The menu may not be extensive but when I visit somewhere that has a vegan option it always makes me happy. We went on Saturday before our tour (which I would recommend) and were served quickly and politely. The chef checked the ingredients for me in my meal without fuss. There was a lovely atmosphere within the place.
