Food just there if you're hungry but not tasty

Popped in as never friend the food before from Nigeria. The lady there was very friendly and recommended beef jollof with plantain and it was amazing. Will certainly be back.

I ordered from Uber eats, cowtail pepper soup and suya, it was so nice and very tasty, highly recommended

I walked in and it smelt like home. Best feeling.

Enjoyed the spicy jollof rice with chicken and a beer while watching the footie. Very clean and new inside. I spilled my beer all over and the cook came and cleaned up for me. Such a big meal that I took half home!

Tried jollof rice and egusi soup for the first time. There was so much depth to the meal. Very tasty and flavorful. The service was pretty fast and the staff were friendly(they don’t smile but I could tell they’re warm)and helpful, they kindly told us how to eat their food. I’d happily visit this place again and try different dishes.

The ambience is classy , the meals are delicious and the price is not “tear pocket “ like that …

Good meal, taste and atmosphere. Although they don’t have most varieties of African food but I’ll definitely visit again.

I was driving through Newcastle when i searched for a Nigerian restaurant and i thought i would try this place out, I was struck by how clean and immaculate the place was moreso the restroom, the food was fantastic and the service was very good, it was a great experience.

It's a casual place it's ok inside it I think it just opened when I went in I tried somthing it was tryp witch I dont like anyways will try again

Best African restaurant and food in Newcastle

Food was nice and portions were generous. I am giving service a 2 star because of the time it took to get the orders out. But staff were very professional.

This is a great restaurant. I wish I have known them before now. The ambience is calm and welcoming. And the food tastes really nice.

Absolutely disgusting place to even walk past. Absolutely stinks of rotten meat. Not the cleanest place to be near.

Amazing African food, just the right ingredient and spice.

Very poor. A lot of the food appear to be reheated microwave food. The fish on the jollof was totally freezer burnt - totally tasteless. If you want Nigerian … surely there are better options. I thought I was getting fried plantain with the killing jd apparently that’s why I had to wait so long but the plantain was not to be … sorry - I only do totally honest reviews. Maybe someone else found the food fantastic, I did not.

Beautiful place and the owner very kind guy, the food is amazing

We tried Efo Riro and the chicken and jolof rice, the man on the phone told us that Efo Riro was Spinach stew with no meat but unfortunately it was full of tripe that we couldn't stomach it at all. The efo riro sauce was the only thing we got with any flavour but after seeing the huge strips of tripe i just couldnt eat it even after removing it. The jolof rice however was a total disappointment it has no spice or flavour at all, totally bland and paired with chicken and plantain which although cooked well had no flavour added either. I have nigerian colleagues who always big up the cuisine, i have been dying to try it as i love spice and they told me they use scotch bonnets, I actually added dried chilli and salt at home to the rice for it to have any flavour.

I dined in with my family. We waited for almost an hour to be served. They delivered meal to one person and the rest had to wait to be served several minutes later. The waiters were not too pleasant, so impatient. The food was not wonderful, it was moderate.

Food was an absolute dream, everything I had been craving! Service was 10/10 with owner being accommodated to all requests and my needs! Amazing.

They are rubbish don’t order from these scammers they are rude as well

Truly felt like I was in a Nigerian food spot, the aroma from the restaurant kitchen, the atmosphere, the clients coming in and out of the restaurant made me feel at home somewhere in Naija, even while at home in the UK. The meal was incredibly tasty, well prepared and packaged, excellent customer service provided, and guess what, they were all guys both the chef and waiters! Amazing.

Food was okay, variety present, takes a while but I guess it's because it's fresh. Not so comfy as it's a small place but generally okay

Extremely rude service girls. They insisted I Have to come to their counter to make payment, by registering on my bank account an Alex Adenuga account details, when I protested that I don't have to stand in front of them at the counter to make payment, I was so terribly insulted, very bad customer service. No card payment facilities, u either pay by cash or go make bank transfer to them. I met the owner, a guy called Farouk, he's as good as gold, whenever he's there, the staff behave themselves, but when he's not, the services become something else, have eaten their a few times and promised myself never to go there again.

Scam of a place. You go to this place at your own risk. Waiters are very rude, arrogant and disrespectful. We forced to pay by cash, saying they don't do card and then it took them 45 minutes after taking our orders, to come back later that our choice of food is not available. We then asked for a refund and a staff by name Glory refused refunding our £42 for our ordered meal, claiming that the money had be taken away and not available. She later started insulting outright that we were not good customers. Just because she wanted to force another option of food on us, which was frozen and not freshly cooked. Once again, visit this place as a stranger into Newcastle, at your own risk.

Nice African food. Free parking around the area with local shops also close-by. You can have grill fish with friend plantain or yam. The Nigeria famous Jollof is also available at all times. Friend rice and chicken or fish.

A typical African food restaurant. For African people who have missed their African cuisines for years, this is the place to go for your African food.

The portion I ordered was extremely tiny and the man in the shop had a very bad attitude and was defensive of this. Very poor customer service and I implore you to explore somewhere else to get good value for your money. If I could give zero star, I honestly would.

Nothing like western restaurant, I mean setup wise. Exposed kitchen not really professional I'm sure it will improve in fullness of time. The food is great 👍 👌 😋 and reasonable prices. Best to do take away.

Vast selection of superb tasting african and carribian food.

Awesome place to purchase your African meal, it reminds me of back home and how much I miss home but having a home cooked meal from this restaurant was amazing. The tilapia fish and plantain was worth the wait though they need to employ more staffs as they took more than an hour to get my meal ready.

The special touch of this restaurant is the quality of the food. Some of the best Nigerian dishes I have tasted at a Nigerian restaurant. The only downside is the waiting time, this can be over 1hr if the place is busy. If that can be sorted and the occasionally extremely loud music, would be the best restaurant for Nigerian food around!

ordered pounded yam and soup with 2 of my friends after a 45 minutes wait they came to tell us “1 of us had to eat eba because there is only 2 portions of pounded yam”. I then said i will have cowtail pepper soup but they should make me takeaway grilled fish and fried yam with pepper sauce. As i got home and opened the take away pack i say grilled fish and fried plantain. extremely disappointing .

The restaurant is very clean, has nice asethics and plays good Nigerian music but my biggest issue is the food quality. My friends and I went over and ordered about far off the menu and all the food was of poor quality or cold. I personally waited over an hour for my Oha soup which was very poor. Not worth the money or the wait.
