Dragon Wok in Newcastle upon Tyne

We always order Chinese food from Dragon Wok have been for as long as I can remember! Amazing food and it's always hot. Speedy delivery is guaranteed and the staff are always friendly on the phone. Even when collecting the people behind the counter serve with a big smile on their face. Could not praise this place more! Thank you for always making my weekends great!

The TLDR is: they have really tasty food, served in big portions, at good prices, and by friendly staff. I love it. Excellent takeaway, and the best Chinese one in the Cowgate/Fenham side of town that I've found so far (so good that I've now stopped looking tbh, and am happy to just order from them from now on). I've had their salt & chilli, black bean, satay, garlic & chilli, curry, ginger & spring onion, and crispy noodle dishes, and their hot & sour soup, and crispy fried spring rolls app, and ALL of them have hit the spot, with whatever meat I ordered them with. I only wish they also did "la zi ji" (aka Chongqing chicken) or water poached beef dish, but those aren't dishes you normally see on northeast takeaway menus anyway, at least not on ones outside the city centre. It's cash only, but there's a machine literally just a bit left of Dragon Wok (from the outside, if you were looking at it's door), should you need it. I've never actually used their delivery, so can't comment on it. It's dangerously close to my house :P

After eating food from here I woke up the next morning with bad stomach cramps. Wouldn't go here again.

First off the old delivery driver tried to con me out of more money saying it was was more then what was on the receipt. As for the food my prawn toast was a soggy, greasy mess not fit human consumption and my chow mein was disgusting very bland and unflavored possibly the worst chow mein of my life so bad a goblin wouldn't eat it not sure who's idea it was to put carrots in it but it wasn't a good one.

Gravy was like brown water, with a similar taste. Sweet and sour sauce wasn't right either , the king prawns in batter and prawn toast were well over cooked and the so called salt and chilli pepper chips were cremated, minus the onions and peppers because there weren't any, plenty of burnt garlic though.

Absolutely amazing food! And lovely considerate delivery driver that remember we have small children at home so didn’t knock loudly knowing we have a dog that barks and will wake them up! Usually delivery drivers couldn’t care less from other restaurants! Amazing service 10/10 !!!

Now please believe me u will not get a better Chinese takeaway the. Here, I would never go anywhere else now because the rest don't have a patch on the food, the lovely staff who are so polite well mannered, some people should learn by them, clean and beautiful food, lovely staff and very good value, what more could u ask for, goooo on u no u want to lol.

It's a small takeaway with reasonable prices the beef in the Currys is tender and I found the meals do taste bettet

I've been to many Chinese takeaways and this is one of my favourite! Really good food and to top it off the customer service is excellent. I usually order on the weekday because weekends are too busy which I'm not surprised considering the standard that they provide.

Great little takeaway with high quality food. Having tried several takeaways in the West End I had almost given up until I found this hidden gem. Friendly customer service and tasty food to go with it. They have reasonable prices and their king prawns are even better than those served at alot of restaurants I've tried too so I'd highly recommend them...I for one will be going back for more!

Great Chinese and they do delivery but they don't have an online presence. They accept cash only but it is always busy which just shows how nice the food is! My favorite is salt and chilli chicken wings, super tasty!
