The only issue was the fact that both lifts were broken, but staff were extremely helpful and offered the staff lift to use.

Well, having stopped here for the Magic Weekend, what can I say, apart from how very disappointed I was with our Premier plus room,116. First of all the state of the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, mold on the shower screen, dead flies on the ceiling, then as you can see from the pictures, state of the skirting board, again absolutely disgusting. Haven't got a clue when it was last cleaned properly. Stains on the carpet. To say I paid a whopping £274 for one night for that,I won't be returning to any of your hotels ever again.

Perfect base to explore Newcastle city centre! We arrived just after 3 so there was a queue to check in which was expected but when we got to the desk it took under a couple of minutes. We’d booked a premier plus room because we wanted a fridge. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location is the best thing about this hotel. Right opposite Eldon Square shopping centre, a few minutes walk to Grainger Market and Chinatown. Tea, coffee and milk left out in reception so you can help yourself. This is my second stay here and I will definitely be back!

Ideal location in city centre, the location was very quiet considering the city centre location. The room i had had an awful smell and was too warm, although was clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed, the bad odour and heat prevented a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked.

As we arrived we was put into a room that had only just been cleaned as we walked into the room we was immediately hit by a horrible smell on closer inspection there was mould on the walls and dust on all surfaces yet it’s only just been cleaned clearly not then we was moved to another room which was better but still dusty I was wearing black got the spare pillows down from the shelves and as I unpacked them I moved away the packaging and my partner said what’s all that white over you on closer inspection I went to the shelves and it looked like it had not been cleaned in months after all this I did complain and was offered a free breakfast as a sorry the best part of the hotel if the bar and diner adjoined to it top class service and lovely staff

Whenever we stay in a Premier Inn, I know I’m getting three things. 1. Consistent Stay - with an option to drop off our bags before check-in and after checkout. 2. Best Beds - Since January 2023, my wife & I have stayed in multiple rooms across Europe - Premier Inn’s beds are the best ones that have the most “give” that aren’t just hard as a rock. 3. Quality for Price - Best Quality Chain for the Lowest Cost I’ve stayed at this Newcastle location twice now. It’s quality and the walkability to St. James Park can’t be beat. Being near the stadium & in the heart of Newcastle city centre makes this Premier Inn a winning combination.

Me and my friends decided to stay here for a vacation and just to spend quality time with each other. As soon as we walked in there was this sudden breeze like someone walked past me but no one was there. I just brushed it off as the place having good air conditioning. So my friends and I checked in. The staff was really nice and helpful but they also told me that there was evil spirits roaming the hotel so be careful. I thought this was a little strange but we just went to our rooms and ordered a pizza. When the pizza arrived he asked me to sign the bill when the pen started levitating out of my hand and wrote the name "Thomas Wayne". The pizza man was frightened out of his mind and dropped my pizza on the floor so i basically got a free pizza. I thought this was a nice gesture from the ghost but I remembered the staff said it was an evil spirit. Still since nothing bad happened I thought of Thomas as an invisible roommate. This was until all the doors flung open and my friends eyes went black and started flying. This scared me out of my mind and i tried to run out the room but the door slammed shut and all the hangers came out the closet and started flying at me. Before i knew it the bedsheets were flying and wrapped my friends up and i heard a voice say "You will not escape this place until you are one of us" This was very true as i am still in room 104 somebody please come save me ive been in here for 3 weeks straight with just the pizza to hold me off. Ive been running out of pizza though and my friends are still flying. I had to cut the slices into 4ths to ration it but that isnt going to work after a while

Had to stay here for a meeting the next day. It’s the old CO-OP building so had a number of art deco features still especially in the stair well. I had trouble with the room key but the receptionist was helpful & got it sorted. I also had some problems with the room temperature control which cause me some problems due to a health condition but otherwise it was a reasonable place for an overnight stay. I like it’s in the centre so you can get to places easily

Good location. In the centre of everything. Rooms were beautiful clean. Well done to the cleaning staff. Service from reception..... appalling. We arrived early hours In the morning, so bare in mind we hadn't spoken to anybody from Newcastle, and we were greeted by a man who left a foul impression. Not one smile. Not at all informative. Just simply checked us in and nothing else was said. I had to ask him questions that he failed to mention, for example - breakfast. Which is pretty much the basic thing to automatically tell guests. It's courteous. Second of all, each Receptionist we encountered - not one smile. Not one Goodmorning. No effort to engage with us. Poor customer service. Thirdly, I had to send my partner down to retrieve some toilet paper as we had ran out, where he was then told to go back to the room and wait... so he then had to go back down a second time - I was sitting on the toilet already uncomfortable, so could not wait. And then around 15-20 minutes later a man had come knocking on our door with a bed cover? I don't know how you mix that up with 'toilet paper'. So that clearly showed no effort of actively listening. Moving on, I had gone downstairs in the morning to request a clean in our room and the lady I spoke to.... her tone. Just seemed like she didn't care. Just for clarification I like to repeat myself to make sure I have said everything/there has been no miscommunication made; so when doing this, I was met with a very flat tone of 'yep. I'll see what I can do. I'm not promising anything though' and she appeared very impatient- that's how her tone came across. The only time that the staff appeared to be nice is when we was leaving. Passing us our luggage from the store room. I mat be reading into this too much, I understand that, but all this boils down to, for me, is where was the customer service? There were no smiles. And for when we checked in - that was our first impression of not just the hotel, but of newcastle - that just set the whole atmosphere, fairly negative. Regardless of what time it is, greet your customers with a smile, engage in conversation, be informative, reassure them that should there be any issues, as the first point of call, customers (we) should be able to address you with them. None of that was done for me. To finish it on a positive note, I want to thank the cleaners for keeping the hotel so tidy.

If you want a good night's sleep, DO NOT stay in this hotel. We got woken up by a fire alarm at 4:48 am and we and other guests directly went to the lobby. No staff was giving us any information or telling us on what to do next. We were just left milling about in the lobby and we eventually left and went back to our rooms on our own accord. Heard from other guests that some bloke vaped and triggered the alarm. There was no apology issued from the hotel and even my request for a copy of my hotel receipt was not complied with. I asked multiples times for it and just given false promises that it will be sent to my email.

Everything was as you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Rooms fairly spacious and clean but too warm. Only problem was on our first morning we couldn't get any hot water. Was ok following days but only if you let the bath taps run for at least 5 mins which wastes an awful lot of water. Location great for city centre, railway station, metro and football stadium.

MOULD, SAGGY MATTRESS AND NOISY The Good It’s well located adjacent to the main leisure complex housing 16 screen cinema and various pubs and eateries The OK The check in staff weren’t overly friendly or welcoming but they weren’t rude either, just OK The bad The room - my room felt and smelled stale as I entered and the air felt clammy and damp, it seems maybe there’s a ventilation issue. You can’t open the window and the air conditioner only runs with your key card in and then turning it on. The controls were completely battered with buttons missing. Returning to the hotel after 11pm means you get accosted by pointless security guards who won’t let you enter despite having checked in and having a key to open the front doors until you’ve stated your room number and name. What exactly does this do to aid security? I’ve never experienced such a hostile approach from any other Premier Inn or any other hotel in any country I’ve stayed in. The mattress wasn’t the advertised king size bed but two single worn out mattresses pushed together, and dipping on both sides as if an extremely overweight person had laid in it for months on end. I found Stain on the sheets and in the morning not only was I disturbed hours before I wanted to be awake by slamming of doors and people talking loudly in the corridor, but I found black mould in and around the bathroom! Absolutely appalling.
