Jaipur Exclusive Indian Takeaway and Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

The last few times we've ordered have not been great! Food items missing & just not what it used to be. Tried ringing to say there were missing items but then the food is cold & we still couldn't get through! It was the nann this time! The chips weren't cooked, the poppadoms were soggy & the onion bahjis weren't crispy either.

If you haven’t been here already, then why not? This is always my go-to for the best curry around. The meat on the starters and within the curry is incredible, so tender and so full of flavour. The curry is excellent and the sides are just as good. Best of all, the prices are the lowest around. You really can’t beat Jaipur on price or quality. I’ve been a few times, but intend to return many more!

I think this has to be one of the best, if not the best Indian Restaurants I’ve eaten at. Excellent service, food was amazing. Whilst the restaurant was very quiet (it was getting late on a miserable Tuesday evening) we were not rushed to leave. I shall certainly be back, and will be recommending to friends.

Received our takeaway it was piping hot and delicious, did not wait long , would recommend and will be ordering again soon

Received raw/ stale food. Regulars at this restaurant got a delivery and they refused a refund even though the food was un edible. Will not be coming back. Received bad customer service on the phone to add to this. Disappointed at this restaurant

First time trying my local indians food was very nice would defo recommend service was very rushed even though was only 1 other couple in restaurant so wasn't busy to be rushed and felt like just wanted us to quickly go

Walked in and made to feel like family. Food was absolutely outstanding. The Tikka chips are tremendous. Genuinely can’t recommend this place enough! We live in Blyth but this is our go to from now on without a doubt!!!!

Our delivery of King prawn dupiaza was absolutely delicious, with many huge prawns and gorgeous sauce. Superb.

Main points are the food is delicious, the portions were a decent size and reasonably priced with friendly and helpful staff. Take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt and try it for yourself. I was recommended Jaipur by Sami almost a year ago at a garage in Nuneaton, finally visited tonight from South Shields and it was epic. We shared a pickle tray to start and a few poppadoms, one of the dips was a little zingy but tasted amazing. For my main I had a kolkata masala which is a spicy chicken tikka masala, the tikka was lovely quality and the spice was delicately done. My better half had Jaipur chicken naga korai which was a smoky and spicy taste sensation. We then shared a nut pilau, tandoori chips and a garlic naan. We'll definitely be back.

Ordered takeway,chips weren't the best but the curry(chicken tikka karahi) and the garlic naan were very tasty. Good portions and quite cheap. Would definately use again

After trying many different Indian takeaways in around Newcastle I wish I had found this one first. The service and quality of the food is the best by a long shot. The moment I walked in I was welcomed by the friendly polite staff who recommend new stuff to try on the menu, the decor of the shop is smart and modern and it’s lovely and clean inside, the food is exceptional in terms of taste, I recommend trying the tandoori chips they are amazing. I will definitely be ordering again and will be booking in to have a sit down meal with family in the restaurant.

Perfect, this is my new favourite takeaway!

It's a nice place was a little chilly it is kinda nice inside for small place it looked it is quit small food was nice the paratha was a little under cooked the shatkora curry was full of flavour the king prawn rice was nice think it was cooked with a little ghee they don't serve alcohol so if you fancy a drink with your meal you will have to get your own service was good

I would give 6 stars if I could. Really friendly and accommodating staff. Food was reasonably priced and incredibly good. Dishes can be altered to spice preferences. One of the best Indians I've ever been to.

I live just outside of Newcastle and decided to treat myself to a curry on my way home. I ordered the Lamb Naga Korai for myself and a Butter Chicken for my little one. The food was not only exquisite but the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this curry house and I'll certainly be returning very soon!!!! Well done!!!

Food was OK. Starter was a bit salty and the madras wasn't very flavoursome. Chicken tikka was OK, bur again not much flavour. Side dishes however, they were gorgeous. WE had saag aloo and bombay aloo. Rive was OK and naan was good but there wasn't much keema meat in it at all.

We get takeaway from Jaipur quite often and eat in occasionally and it's always delicious, staff (especially Sammi) are lovely and the takeaway banquet is really good value

Unreal food. Travelled 15 mile tonight and absolutely was worth it. Been before and when tonight we were going to have a curry I had to come back here. Spoiled food portion wise and never known a better service. . Couldn't recommend more to anyone. picture of my chicken balti and some sides we had.

Ordered takeaway 6.30 they said it would be ready for 7’05 got it at 7.45 plus the park is a nightmare. Food was ok the Nan was a bit powdery and doughy 😒

Been here for both takeaway & dine-in. Food is high quality and staff are friendly and attentive. However, during busy times please allow for large wait times for collection/delivery. Of course this is not a bad thing, it just stands to prove how good the place is.

Used to always use this for takeaway but recently it’s gone really downhill. Our masala was like water and the chips were greasy and soggy with grease. Such a shame as it used to be the best in the area now will try to find somewhere else

I have been using this for the last 14 years on a weekly basis. The food is always of a high quality, reasonably priced and the service is excellent. They also have a banquet deal which is good value for money. Definitely the go to place for Indian food!

The other end of town but worth the travel every time. Best masala around and their chicken chaat on puri is a must try.

Just got a takeaway only 4 pieces of chicken in all the curries we ordered £50 wont be going there again disgusting more sauce then chicken u can go to a supermarket and get it cheaper and have more chicken in and sauce nicer very disappointing

Ordered on Father's Day, advised would be 45-60 min due to this. We get 2 banquet meals as usual. Ordered 18:41 90 min later after chasing up a couple of times and advising on way food turns up without poppadoms or chips, another 20 min around 20:35 i get a call from the person delivering the poppadoms and chips trying to find our house, advised then the rest of my order arrives so in total I had to wait around 2 hrs for my order. This is totally unacceptable, I received nothing extra and no apologies. I had to microwave my other food that was delivered earlier, my wife finished her food an hour earlier and my child had to be put to bed whilst I waited for my Father's Day meal my wife bought me. I haven't put this on lightly as I've used Jaipur for years but 2 out of the last 3 orders have been wrong and they accuse you of not ordering or confirming correctly, they've messed up orders previously but they offer something on the next order but if you dont order for a few weeks they forget, they talk fast and my order is the same every single time, if they don't hear that's their problem and what they have said in confirming sounded like my order, but they blame you the customer. The prices have gone up a lot since we first started to use them and the quality of the food has gone downhill. They used to stick extra poppadoms in and were really courteous now they seem in a rush and obviously don't care about the service they provide. I would beware ordering from them, the food is nice but portions and quality have gone down. I'm moving soon so I won't be using them again and we wouldn't regardless to the way they spoke to me and the delay. Nothing is their fault only yours.

I ordered 2 chicken wraps with just salad, and chip had been put in aswell. Thinking result, but only to find out that there was hardly any chicken in it and it was filled with chips.

The mains were okay not a lot of flavour the chips were raw the best thing was the naan bread and don’t forget your beer coz they don’t have a licence

Edit :- just had a call from the manager apologising for how busy they were last night and offered us a 20% discount on our next order. He couldn’t have been more apologetic, like I said the food was amazing. Changing my review to a 4star. The food they delivered was amazing, but we ordered at 19:04 and over the phone they said 45mins, then changed to 1 hour within 30 seconds. We placed order and waited, 20:25 we called and enquired about our order, we were told 20 mins more as busy time. 21:05 knock at door delivery, paid money and said we placed this order 2 hours ago, she replied, “I’m just the delivery”. Shame as food was amazing, delivery timings wrong and delivery person rude.

Waited over hour and half, rang told on way half hour later rang told just left! Spoke about the price as was alittle higher than normal, ordered everything on the 5 course then told I ordered separate! Why would I order everything to be charged more!!! I understand busy night but to be lied to! If u can’t handle the order then why take it if the first place!

Taste was okey but the thing is we said spicy but they didn’t make that and I asked for take way they charged 2.5£ but it will not charge at least 30pence they took lot of time to give their service over all not satisfied

Had my first delivery from Jaipur, so many things in its favour. Firstly came on time, secondly piping hot and thirdly everything that was ordered was present. Most importantly the food was delicious, highly recommended

Absolutely love the food. Only lost a star as I've ordered the same meal twice and had something that tasted completely different. I get it that there are different chiefs, but I really wanted the same thing again. Would still highly recommend. If you aren't sure what to try order something with their name in the description. Nice to get a table and restaurant open midweek. This was 4th attempt to eat in this area after 8pm. Good waiter who explained the dishes and recommendations. Food tasted nice and servered on hot plates.

Went in was basically ignored at desk until we made a noise the gentleman behind desk looked up and said sorry we sat down were given menus mine pages stuck together with food we ordered food was fine and came quickly so it ended ok but the start was poor please clean your menus

🫔🫔🫔JAIPUR 🫔🫔🫔 All the way to west end to try the infamous CHOCOLATE CURRY. That's right chocolate mossala murgh... So the chocolate curry review was decent. Like a korma but no coconut and mild chocolate taste. Very sickly however I couldn't have it as a main personally as I like a good spicy curry. Tikka jalfrezi was average as was the karai both 6/10 nothing special. Service was fab both guys were amazing x

Not the best service I've had at this restaurant and I know they pride them selves on this, don't no if its cause Jay and Rico were not there, anyway spurr of moment we decided to go out me and my son, seem to be we were puttinh them out of there way as we didn't reserve, although food usually really good stuff, my starter had egg shell in in it, waiting staff not on the ball waited around 15 mins to try and get service for a top up on my drink, my curry order was taken down wrong ordered lamb tikka got lamb I had to query this and I was right, the waiter instead of taken my order correctly wad rather looking out through the window that's why my order got messed up, didn't enjoy it as left the lamb to prove they got my order wrong, ceylon didn't seem as good as many previous currys I've had from there, there's an other restaurant over the road or others I'll try just cause I felt we were putting them out cause I never reserved a table

Normally excellent but Kheema naan bread was under cooked and a big lump of donner meat in the middle and korma has no sauce

Friday night my Girlfriend and I dined in at Jaipur. I chose it based on reviews I had seen and the aesthetic from their website. Very professional and a nice ambience it seemed. The restaurant itself is lovely inside. We were taken care of extremely well by the friendly and very attentive staff. The food was extremely good, some of the best from an Indian restaurant dine in experience that I have had. I think their Chicken Tikka Balti may have become my favourite curry. The food was well prepared and tasty, portions were very generous and the cost very very reasonable. I will definitely be returning for another meal in the future.

Wouldn't go anywhere else. I've been ordering from jaipur for years and never had a bad meal. Food is always top quality and service is brilliant. Highly recommend

First time in Japur restaurant in Newcastle . The food was great , the atmosphere was friendly and the service was just right . The restaurant was very clean and the waiters wore white gloves when putting each plate on the table ready for service of each course. Great experience would definitely recommend. J Sutton .

Not one to leave a review normally, infact I think this may be the first review I have ever left. But MY WORD, this must be the best Indian food I have ever tasted. And putting aside the immense quality of the food, the service was just as impressive. I don't think I will be trying any other anytime soon. Solomon's has always had a good write up, but Jaipur knocks the socks off Solomon's by a country mile. If you have not tryed Jaipur, I strongly recommend you give them a go, you will not be disappointed. If I could give 6/7 even 10 stars I would. I emplor all people reading this review to try for them selves. Best meal I have ever had. And to top it off such brilliant staff members too.

Very disappointed tonight. Ordered nut and pilau rice got one of each instead of mixed. Chicken korma was almost see through it was so thin. It came with 5 chicken lumps that were dry. Never have i been so disappointed. Previously had good meals (other than once before when there was a cable tie in the meal but this was rectified!). Obviously an off night. But with so much great competition this place needs to be consistent.

Been my go to Indian takeaway for the last 8 years or so, never had a bad meal. The delivery is always when promised & the food is beautiful. Thoroughly deserve the awards they've won over the years & the banquet meals are a bargain.
