Fantastic breakfast with good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The staff are always friendly, attentive and make you feel welcome which is refreshing in this day and age. Have visited previously for meals also from coffee and cake so if you like quality cakes too then this is the place to visit. All in all highly recommended and excellent value for money.

Called in for a quick drink and cake during a trip out. Like a previous reviewer, we found a member of staff rather abrupt and unfriendly. It was almost as if she really didn't want to be serving the public on a Sunday afternoon. A request for a decaff flat white was met by an terse " we don't do decaff or flat white. we only have instant" No sorry, just a stony face. No smiles or friendliness when our drinks and cakes were brought to the table. At least we were served in a reasonable time. A man at an adjacent table, who already had a pot of tea and scone, was joined by a young lady. He went to the counter to order a tea for her. The waitress saw him there, but instead of taking his order, decided to go to the far end of the room to clear a table. When she did eventually take his order she did not have enough change, and advised that she would get him the £3. She then made off, got the change, then retreated to the kitchen. It was some time later that another member of staff asked her if she was meant to make a pot of tea for the customer. We heard no apology from her.

We have been going to this cafe for months now for Sunday lunch and it is absolutely fantastic staff very friendly always very clean and even when busy we have never waited more than 5 mins for our meal my granddaughter loves it as well pixie is 8 years old but there is a outside area were she can play weather permitting and even when we can not go and sit in you can still have Sunday lunch as a takeaway I would recommend this place to everybody

cane here for the farm shop, and decided on lunch whilst we were here. The food is delightful. Me and my wife had the afternoon tea, our friends had a full breakfast and the farmers platter. Absolutely fantastic food and friendly service. The afternoon tea was huge and delicious, and the view of the meadows was lovely.

This place is situated at the very end of Easington as you head towards Whitby on the right. The main thrust of business is a well stocked farm shop with plenty of other provisions as well. I met up with some colleagues prior to a meeting and the place was ideal. Good views from the windows and in warmer weather a nice terrace to sit at. The Coffee was really very good so often places don't get this right. We all had Bacon or Sausage baps and again all very nice indeed. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables so good all round, with helpful and friendly staff.

On the way to Whitby the other day, we saw the Meadow View Tea Room. Therefore, we went there a day after for a visit. We liked the view there, so beautiful that I can't forget. My black pudding and bacon sandwich was fresh and tasty. My partner had his farmer's special which was a big portion. Although the food was quite ordinary, what do you expect? I don't mind going back. The staff might be a bit indifferent but it's nice that we didn't get disturbed.

Been here many times and food is always lovely, very clean and situated in a nice location. But most times I have found the staff a bit abrupt and not the greatest in customer service. Have been several times with the in-laws (who are fussy eaters - One gluten free and one only eats chicken) but they have catered for us after having a table booked on a Sunday, last time we rang to book a table we were asked for what food we wanted to order, how do we know what we are going to want to eat without looking at the menu?! Then when we mentioned one was gluten free and wanting a Sunday lunch we were told they couldn't cater for us! Lost 7 customers that day and left disappointed being told we couldn't come to a tea room!! Today i thought we would try again, myself and my 2 children (one only 2 years old so just got crisps) came in and ordered the afternoon tea, not only has the price gone up £2 already since it opened when I asked for a extra plate for my daughter to share with me I was charged 50p!!! What? I asked what for and was told to cover the cost of washing the extra plate as a afternoon tea is only ment for 1 person. Well a 8 year old girl is not going to eat a full afternoon tea to herself, so what else am I to do. Couldn't believe a 50p charge to wash a plate, heard it all. Shared afternoon teas plenty of times before with my daughter and never being charged. Used to love coming here, but as a local person I'm afraid I won't be coming again after this last visit it's topped off what has always been tarnished by abrupt staff. Think owners might be getting a bit greedy!!

Popped in here last week for lunch, there was 5 of us. Arrived around 12noon and there were already a few people in eating. The place itself is lovely and clean, nice tables, cutlery and packets of sauces you get yourself with salt and pepper on the tables. There also appears to be outdoor seating which looked lovely, but sadly when we visited the heavens had opened and it was far too wet. The menu had everything you could think of, larger meals, light bites, breakfasts, paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, desserts, cakes and scones. A variety of drinks both hot and cold, so much choice. Staff are lovely, very amicable, polite and friendly. As we were leaving the place was full and very busy, the cost is very good value for money in my view, therefore we will be visiting again soon. Thank you ladies for your service and great food🍰🍳🍴🍩🍔🍞🌮🌭🌯

We decided to take the coastal route home after a short Yorkshire break and we're feeling quite hungry when we spotted the Meadow View sign and pulled into the car park. When we entered the building it looked like a mini warehouse of gardening equipment, bird food etc and our first thought was that the coffee shop may be a coffee machine and we didn't hold out much hope of staying, however, turning right at the end of the welly aisle we were met with a lovely bright cafe with views over the surrounding fields and doors to an outside eating area. We decided on hot meals, one pork pie and one mince cobbler, and they were delicious, best chips I've had for a long time and a jug of very tasty gravy. No room left to try the delicious looking cakes so we bought a couple of slices to take home, delicious. Lovely cafe, very clean (5* rated), light and airy with happy helpful staff. All in all a great find.

Pleasantly surprised - thought it would just be sandwiches/cakes, but a lot more than that on the menu! My jacket potato was great and my friends really enjoyed their steak pie, prawn salad. Good puds also, and good selection of hot/colds drinks. Great service.

We stopped for our lunch here. I ordered the special - liver and onions and my husband corned beef pie both for £6.95 including tea or coffee. We were hoping for something tasty but would have been happy with filling especially at such a low price. My liver was beautiful with a full gravy boat of onion gravy and my husbands likewise with the most generous portions you would wish for. All in all a real find and greatly recommended. To top it all the couple on the adjacent table were served a luscious looking afternoon tea that we will be back to sample

We had tried the pub in the village for lunch but they didn't serve until 4pm. On our way out of the village we decided to try the tea room. We are so glad that we did. Real food just like home. Corned beef pie and home made lasagne. The chips were just like my mum used to make. Perfection on a plate. Thank you to the lovely staff.

This little tea room/ restaurant has only been opened a few months but already it is proving to be a popular meeting place for locals and passing travellers. The food is all home made, freshly cooked and delicious. The cakes are a delight and can be sampled when you order an afternoon tea. This is beautiful, plentiful and very reasonably priced. This is well worth a visit.

We were pleasantly surprised with this new establishment. It was light and airy, clean and the service was excellent. We both had tuna baked potato with side salad and a pot of tea to share. We visited at around 12 pm and although busy managed to get a lovely table near the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the fields outside where there are also benches for those who wish to eat outside. The food was very tasty and the baked potato was cooked to perfection. The only complaint we had was that the tuna was served in a small glass with mayonnaise and there was more of that than the tuna! Despite this small detail we would certainly return as some of the bigger meals looked very appetizing. We had to walk through a farm store which sold meat and veg and dairy products and a larger shed laid out with animal foods and accessories. Would recommend to friends and family.

We were very surprised to find that the farm we often pass, at the top of Boulby incline on the way from Staithes to Easington, had built a bigger shop and new tea room. Delighted at the prospect of this well-positioned establishment, with a good car park, offering a new place to take refreshment en route, we swung in to sample it and were not disappointed.
