McTuckys Fried Chicken & Burgers in Manchester

Mc tuckeys cheadle have never let me down, the food is great quality and I should know as I've now just finally had everything on the menu. I love it when they knock on our door number 7 whitby!!! The service is great and we've ordered for a lot of us at once before Christmas. So ignore that moaning bugger on the reviews because they are talking rubbish. Good food good service fast delivery. Amazing chicken and chips! Went 2 nights in a row after drinks on canal street, once at about 10pm and once in the early hours. Staff are rude as hell, but who cares, they serve you quickly and you get the food you want in good time and it’s really fresh! I’d recommend the boneless chicken strips, they taste just like kfc ones but better and with more meat! The chips are yummy too, weren’t soggy or cold at all. Deffo reccomend:)

The food and everything was good.but customer service was terrible Absolutely rude. He called one of my friends a liar over a can ? He took a Pepsi can and the owner said he took a fanta when clearly there were witnesses of him getting a can of Pepsi. There was no need of the rudeness for tonight. If you cant be polite to your customers then don't freaking work there then. Absolutely rude.. Or check the camera then because that was uncalled for .

Walked in, no queue. Looked clean. Staff were great and attentive Order taken straight away, You could see them making fresh garlic pizza bread. Very quick service and really well priced! Was exactly what you need after a little bar crawl down canal street!

One of the most reliable places to go to for a takeout after drinks especially in the middle of gay village which is so nedded.

It was so quick and delicious, I would recommend the chicken wrap absolutely juicy and delicious You will not be disappointed

Cheap and quick service, staff are nice, what more to ask! Sometimes people complain the food here upset their stomach but I didnt have that experience - although I usually get chips

I expected an entirely average fast food meal and that’s what I got. The chips were quite nice and crispy. One weird thing was I was told it came with a drink and then just given a Fanta despite there clearly being other drinks in the fridge. I didn’t try and swap it as I don’t mind Fanta, but you should probably get to choose!

Bought food sat down to eat food...pestered by random mororn and suddenly bouncer (yeah it's a chicken shop) decided everyone was in the wrong and had to leave...moron is left smirking at the chaos he's caused....if you're going to have security use it we'll ..never to be revisited... Been a customer for 30 years

It's not some uber-deluxe restaurant but it has good food for pretty cheap and the chicken burger is especially good, the foods always fresh and the fries are crispy, you can put whatever sauce/seasoning you want on it from the selection at the end of the bar and they're open till late.

Went in for kebab, and left feeling very upset after being verbally abused by a staff member, he made me feel very intimidated and even a couple came to my rescue because of his behaviour towards me. Also Called me a liar about what I had ordered. I would not recommend using them

I went into this takeaway on a Tuesday evening to get some food after meeting with a friend. I was on my own in the shop with two men behind the counter, and was sexually assaulted by one of the staff members while his colleague stood in the shop knowing this was taking place. He groomed me, took me outside and stuck his tongue down my throat, then proceeded to unbutton my shirt and grabbed my boob. He has since been reported to the police and has an offender number. Since speaking about it, more people have come forward about this man darting creepy or doing a similar thing. If you or anyone you know has experienced any form of assault here, please get in touch with the police, and it will strengthen the case against him. No woman should ever have to worry about where they go to get a takeaway! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN AND WANT TO BE SAFE, IN A PLACE THAT SHOULD BE SAFE!

Great place to get a quick meal after a night out in Canal Street- tasty chicken and chips! Fast service and pleasant staff.

Lovely food at a reasonable price, chicken wings are the best, pizza is great. Always go after a shiftat work on friday and Saturday which is very busy in there great staff.

Needed something to eat late at night and I had seen this earlier when passing through. It was empty when I got there and managed to get a decent kebab in a naan bread. Excellent

I ordered the combo of fried chicken (2 pieces) spare ribs (3 pieces) and fries with a can of soft drink. Loads of food for £4.99. As I was being served someone was short changed by £5.00 but was given the money when he complained though with a shrug rather than an apology. PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHANGE IN THIS PLACE!!The food arrived quickly and I sat down to eat. The place is in the middle of the Gay Village and the clientele tended to be young and boozy. I couldn’t help notice, as I sat down, the unwiped table and food strewn floor. I ate as much as I could under the circumstances but could not continue in that unclean environment. What I ate was acceptable but nothing special but for the price you are not going to expect high end cuisine. Cleanliness, however, should be a given in any eatery. I would return if I was desperately hungry but would not eat inside.

J’ai lu quelques avis horribles de gens qui n’ont qu’un ou 3 avis, quant à moi et mon ami nous avons aimé, bien sûr ce n’est pas de la gastronomie, bien sûr on peut toujours trouvé à redire sur tel ou tel point, franchement c’est beaucoup mieux qu’un KFC, et en plus à 5h du matin c’était encore ouvert avec du monde.

My friends and I often come here when we are drunk but only because it’s easy and in the area we go out in. Most of the time they try to not give you your drink when you buy a meal and most recently they gave my friend raw chips. When I went up to get them replaced he said “yeah I know”. Bad service all around.

Always have a Mc Tucky's if on canal Street - it seem sto be open all hours. the chips are crispy and the chicken decent and staff seem to cope with anything given most of the customers, me included, are tanked up.

La definición de comida rápida. Mi amigo pidió pollo y papas fritas y en 2 segundos estaba en el quiosco frente a él. No lo saque del horno, no pierda tiempo en colocarlo en una caja para llevar. Todo esto ya había sido resuelto. El hombre acaba de llegar debajo del mostrador y le entrega la comida.Mi kebab tardó más en llegar, pero al menos hacía calor.

No hay puntuaciones de higiene en las puertas, pero la respuesta es visible en la ropa del personal. No estoy seguro de cuánto tiempo se usó esa camiseta en particular, pero recomiendo encarecidamente el uso de una lavadora. El hombre que tomaba mi dinero era el mismo que preparaba mi comida.

Me llamaron camino a casa para ser atendidos por el personal que lleva lo que solo se puede describir como ropa de día manchada de suciedad. Durante mi visita, un hombre, que obviamente no era miembro del personal, se estaba ayudando libremente con artículos detrás del mostrador pero, para ser justos, su chaqueta de cuero y su gorra deportiva estaban más limpios que la ropa del personal. Para colmo, los precios que usted ve no se parecen en nada a lo que usted paga, ya que el personal redondea la factura hasta la libra más cercana.

This place has had a part makeover since the last time i was in manchester Food is ok but isnt a patch on KFC which is priced at the the same value for money but its convenient and simple

I was bananas at 330am and stumbled in the door of this place. Spicy wings, chips and a drink - wasn't so bad at the time but thinking about it the next morning, it was a big regret. I've been spoiled my whole life always within an arms reach of good chippers and chicken shops - this is certainly not one of those. The street outside absolutely stinks .

I have gone here for years and there is a con the staff seem to do which I am amazed hasn’t got them in bother yet. For a start they will often not give you change if you are due some, but that could be accidental. But other the years I have noticed if you request a meal (burger and drink for example) they will always ‘forget’ to give you the drink. Now if you are sober you will probably notice this instantly…but if you are a few sheets to the wind you likely wont. I see this night after night where they charge for a drink but don’t hand it over. I’ve seen someone kick up a fuss about this before and end up getting kicked out of the place.

Venía a Manchester a pasar la noche, comencé a beber a la 1 PM el viernes. Terminé amordazando por algo de comida a las 5 AM del sábado por la mañana y McTucky estaba cerca de mi hotel.

Called in to see £1 slapped on the meals(20% increase) plus the box sizes have shrunk so a double increase has been put into place.Staff as miserable as sin.

What can I say? You pay your money you take your choice! Fast food at a value price. Managed to get a table to eat. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, at least early in the evening.

Menu #7 was our favourite ! The location is central and close to all the venues in the Gay village. They are open until the early hours of the morning. There is nothing better than a Mc Tucky's burger after a few drinks. :)

Al no haber estado en un McTuckys desde que viví en Longsight hace 35 años, me sorprendió gratamente ver que todavía funcionaban. El personal era agradable, el lugar estaba muy limpio y el pollo frito era uno de los mejores que he tenido. . . las patatas fritas eran crujientes y quedé muy impresionado. Un gran lugar para pasar la noche si estás en el área o The Village.

Fast service. Friendly staff. Could be cleaner but on a night out who even cares. Greatttt food for a good price. Always open whenever you are hungry.

We have eaten at few late night eateries in Manchester after a night out and this one does its self proud by being efficient, quick with service, freshly prepared food or well heated food and the price is great to pay after a night out. Don’t expect a restaurant type layout, clean, tasty food at a great price to help you shore u for the rest of the journey home.

I was in the neighbourhood because a lot of flights got cancelled. Having had only lunch I was really hungry. Still I preferred not to eat rather than eating here.

Pedí un pan de ajo, que era más práctico como un Frisbee en lugar de un artículo de comida que era tan dura. Encargué un pedazo de pollo frito tan seca todo el centro de Manchester aquatics probablemente no saciar mi primera. Buen trabajo llegó con patatas fritas empapadas o habría salido de la deshidratación. Como para el servicio que recibió un servidor grosero y antipático que no tenía tiempo para nadie. He tenido unos cuantos mal kebab experiencias tienda en mi tiempo, pero este lugar tiene cubiertas el papel. No recomendaría incluso si estaban dando la comida lejos para libre.

Tenía su pollo frito, como recomendado por un local. No fue increíblemente espectacular, pero no era terrible. Lugar no va a wow en su apariencia, siendo la eficiencia orientados - esencialmente un contador de pedir, con un cajero en el final y unos asientos distribuidos a lo largo de los bordes.

Estado aquí unas cuantas veces después de una noche fuera. Bueno que abre tan tarde cerca de todos los bares. La comida está bien y el personal lo suficientemente amable.

Been there a handful of times recently every Sunday and their cheap eats are great. I always go for the £1.70 one piece chicken, chips and drink and never fails to deliver. The food is served hot and is a good size. Been to a few other places that give you a scrawny looking piece that is meant to pass off as chicken but every time, a nice juicy piece of chicken is given and along with the mound of fries and drink, super great value and you get more than you pay for. Lots of sauces to try with your chips and wanted to go today but saw that there is a refit or renovation in progress. Hope its all done by next week so I can get my fix!

Low price burger meals with good service. 2.70£ cheese burger + chips and soda in friendly "rainbow" neighbourhood. Good value for money.

Eines der besseren Fastfood-Restaurants kann man durchaus mal machen. Ansonsten gibt es hier zu nicht viel zu sagen. Ich habe dem Burger probiert der war in Ordnung.

Worst pleace in manchester, never looks clean and food standards are lower than low. Maybe in the 90s this was ok but it's not of a reasonable standard any more

When the bars close and you need food this place never let's you down. Always open late and great value. The only way to end a night in the village.

Late supper at Mc Tuckys Clean establishment Seating area and open late.Great value meal chicken breast burger with salad chips and a a choice of pop or water all for £3.60 very good value and very tasty. Staff are friendly and very helpful Definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

Popped in here to grab a snack but the portions were huge and the price was brilliant. A great place to stop if you fancy a snack

Called in for a treat and the 2 "serving" staff were in their phones for almost 10mibutes before taking my order and the tables obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while with Coke stains/sauce stains and the food was a shade less than lukewarm. I won't be recommending this place again.

Used to come here every weekend and used to love it. Must have new management. It's disgusting. Burnt chips. Burnt ribs. Filthy seating area and unfriendly staff. Would never visit again. Gone down hill. Clueless managemt.

Every time when I'm in the area I always go to McTuckys. I would say that's the best fast food restaurant in the Manchester City Centre. It's good for position, quality and price!

Gets a lot of business from Canal Street but food isn't nice. Seems to rely on people being too drunk to notice awful food and unpleasant staff.

We ordered 2 chicken fillet burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks and 2 pieces of chicken breast all for £9.The chicken is as nice as kfc. We will definately be returning.

Normally, I would only go somewhere like McTuckys when I'm intoxicated, BUT IT WAS AMAZING!!!! We ordered chicken strips and chips with a drink! The box was full to the brim with delicious tasting chips and chicken that was 10 times better than KFC!!! It was seasoned and tasted amazing just what we needed after busy day shopping! Not to mention the garlic bread - that too, was amazing!!! We will be going there again next time we're in Manchester!

Awful truly awful. :( thought I would have something to eat before I met up with friends. Seemed a good idea at the time, famous last words!! Thought it would be like a KFC. How wrong I was!!Walked through the door looked at the menu. ( they spell Mctuckys on front of building, then spell it wrong on top of the menu, check it out odd!) the menus displayed outside and in were so sun damaged and faded, could hardly read them. The front door was smashed in. This is like the Z list of all take aways!! The place had food on the tables and floor... I should have listened to that little voice inside me saying " get out of here, run like the wind". I didn't I was starving, big mistake!!!I ordered three pieces of original chicken no fries as they looked like cardboard. Seen another person served them and they left them. A can of coke, just over £5 not that cheap for a sad copy of KFC.... The chicken was both a ball of grease and dry weird how the dopey guy serving managed that one!! Can of coke was the best thing..... Feeling sick through out the evening.. This is without a doubt truly awful. DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF!!! How the council allow it to stay open as it's so dirty, baffles me!! They don't give a crap about there customers. As long as they generate profit, nothing else seems to matter.

The traditional end to a night out in Manchester, this place is only good for late night food following copious amounts of drink. Much of the food is prepared in advance so little chance of requesting alterations and they don't seem to understand that not everyone likes their chicken burgers smothered in more mayonnaise than is found at a Helman's factory...

We love to get a takeaway from McTuckey’s at the end of a night out – The food is lovely – I love the corn on the cob dripping in butter and chicken burgers. The staff are very pleasant and efficient. The only thing which I found slightly annoying this time is they’ve introduced meal-deals, so you can’t pick and choose I like too. We will still eat from here again that said.

A Manchester institution! Love the deals here and the chicken is more KFC than KFC . Right in the heart of the gay village and convenient for a wee between bars snack.

Ordered a burger meal deal after a night at the men, I was starving and thirsty, said meal deal included a burger chips and a drink....said drink was nowhere to be seen, unfortunately I only realised once back at my hotel as was chatting away to friends, when I realised my friends said yes seems a common con as lots of people were going back up after ordering their meals to request their drinks that they were missing

How can chips be more moist than chicken? Hard to believe but it's true! I've gave up on the driest chicken known to man.... Do yourself a favour go to the shop opposite!

This is a small eat in and take away just off Canal street, for the money it's pretty good - ate here twice. First time was burger and chips, second time was Kebab and chips - both times the food was fine and cost less than £4.00 - worth a visit if you're hungry late.

How is possible to make deep fried chicken legs DRY??? They should be scientifically studied...Unfortunately not much better choice around at night.

Great food!!! Amazing Price!! Definitely a great place to be! We had the chicken and the pizza and everything was really good! The service was fast and the staff were really great! Definitely will be eating there again when we make it back to Manchester.

So we were there waiting for something that resembled a chicken burger at the time they had recently lemon freshed the floor and we were made to clean our shoes on the mop due to the prints we left only to open the box with a chicken burger that tasted like a rock the only way the meal was salvaged was by taking the chicken out and shoving the fries in the bun.

Disgusting Chicken, Wow this is just a place to go when very very drunk, dried out chicken and it is a very dirty place with ignorant staff who are there only for the money and not to provide any quality whatsoever. Steer clear !

Called in with a few mates to grab a late night snack. Big mistake!! The chicken drumsticks were not fully cooked, with visible blood around the bone. Trays of uncooked chicken was seen sitting on the floor in the kitchen area. It was absolutely disgusting!! Avoid at all costs!!

If your drunk and you need something to eat it's ok, not to expensive not to clean but most of the times not to dirty, but that the customers not the staff

Awww, dear old McTuckys. It's been there for years, serving up salt, sugar and fat to Manchester's inebriated and peckish. On occasion I've been served dry fried chicken, on a stale burger bun, with cold soggy fries. On a different day I've been presented with juicy fried chicken on a fresh sesame seeded bun with crunchy golden fries that make you want to weep with gratitude. I think it depends on who's behind the counter, and how much they care. It's just as inconsistent during the day, so it's not just a case of not caring what they serve the pie eyed in the wee small hours. Prices are very reasonable, so you don't feel ripped off even when you get a bad un.

Went there yesterday evening with a friend and ordered some food. After waiting ages I assumed they'd forgotten about our order so I politely reminded him. He then told me I hadn't paid him and that's why he hadn't given us our food! I had paid him though!!! My friend then came over and spoke to him and said the same as me. We had definitely paid him. He was really rude and it was really embarrassing if I'm honest. After a few minutes I said that he should check his CCTV but he just tried to say he had and we hadn't paid! Then he changed the story to he couldn't check it because his boss wasn't there. My friend then reminded him what we ordered and said that she'd done the ordering and I'd done the paying part. It was like the penny had dropped but he wouldn't admit it. Instead he started saying "I'll just pay for your food myself out of my wages" that made my blood boil! He was making us look like some kind of scroungers! I admit I lost my temper a little at this point and I said "I can see you realise you've made a mistake but instead of doing the decent thing and apologising you're just making us out to be scroungers" in the end all I got was "ok so you did pay" and that was it!

We visited here in June 2014. I obviously wasn't expecting fine dining cuisine in a fast food shop, I am a realist. However, I ordered the BBQ Ribs and fries. Now, although the ribs didn't state 'Pork' this is what I would have been expecting. In reality I cannot quite put my finer on what the meat was, the closest thing it tasted to was mutton - or very fatty tinned Irish Stew. I have reason to believe that the meat was that of sheep, it was dark in colour, stringy and fatty in texture and highly distasteful.

Good take away food, friendly staff and very convenient for a night out. Never had a bad meal from here.
