Below average experience for a kebab shop, the wrap was so tough my jaw began to hurt from chewing halfway through. There also was not much taste and it was quite a disappointment.

Got food poisoning from one of their kebabs.

You guys kept me waiting 20 minutes for 2 chicken burgers and you took pleasure in my girlfriend and friend yelling at me to hurry up, you even served people before me to deliberately keep me in the dogs house.

A complete waste of money, ordered the chicken done meat was dry, and charged way too much for a small portion £5.50 do not recommend stay away their are lot of better options with better value for money and better quality.

There are no other kebab shops close by in the city centre and they charge quite high prices and its absolutely trash quality and they barely put anything in the kebab and its a very dirty place!!!

The quality of the food was extremely poor, and it was a waste of money. Furthermore, the food was not hygienically prepared, and the person handling the food did not wash their hands. Overall, I would strongly advise against patronizing this establishment.

Food wise, I ordered a normal £6.50 Donner Kebab with no sauce and with no cucumber or tomato. Tomato was added anyway but I had no real issue. There was not a lot of meat compared to the £6.50 large kebabs of Royal Pizza in Liverpool. In addition, the meat was warm but not hot, as it was taken out of the container and not reheated like other takeaways do. I did not have sauce so I cannot describe it, but the veggies I did have with it were not great. Lettuce was small and softand onions were discoloured and had no taste resembling onions. I noticed both tomato and cucumber were diced into squares so if you like that then that's good. Tomato I could not taste at all, and I did not have cucumber so I don't know how that is. Service wise, the only person in there was kind and I had no issues waiting for him. I simply waited to be sighted, rather than calling. Price wise, it's not great. Compared to takeaways from where I live, Liverpool, the pricing is a bit steep. A burger meal with chips and a drink was £6.50 as well if I recall. Accessibility wise, the takeaway is a little bit small with a huge step at the front, which makes wheelchair access or those with issues with inclines not be able to enter. Conclusion, an alright place to go if you want food in the general area and hungry, but I personally would not recommend passing by other takeaways on your way here.

This place was absolutely dreadful, ordered large donnor meat on chips and it was pretty much a small, had a chicken burger and the bun was burnt and we a tiny amount of lettuce and Mayo. Would not eat from here again fuming!

Very low quality food and small portions. Highly doubt anyone going here is checking reviews first but the portion of chips was tiny and the chicken wrap was in a burnt naan. Almost inedible.

Member of staff who served me was pleasant enough but the food was horrible. I had a large doner meat and chips (which in my opinion was not a large, just a normal size in a large box). The food was cold and the chips were soggy, the doner meat might have been nicer but it was cold. I didn’t take this back as I had already got into my hotel around the corner. I still ate the meal cause I did not want to waste money. But I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Awful security here. Plenty of innocent people attacked in this takeaway are due to drugged up idiots and janams takes advantage of drunk kids for their business. One old uncle on for security. Pathetic. Plenty of women and smaller people at risk. Get proper security in here and up the standards for both security and food quality.

We ate there tonight, we ordered 1 döner kebab and 1 meat plate. The chips were not delicious but it was fine however the meat was the worse we ever had. The meat was dry and spicy and we don’t think it was real kebab meat. If you’re looking for a good kebab don’t go there.

Worst kebab place I’ve been to the staff are nice enough but me some other people saw one of workers drop some frozen food on the floor and put it back in the bag dont know what he did with the bag after but should’ve thrown the strip straight into the bin. When I did my food there was big crumbs of chicken in the box with my chips (I didn’t order chicken at all with my order ). Revived my food (lamb diner and curly fries) made me sick.

Went in to this place on a promise of any mixed kebab for £6 on the specials daily board advertised outside. It was only donner and some pale looking chicken out of the couldrons! The best bit about the kebab was the packet reheated naan. The chicken was flavourless and the measley amount of donner was pale and grey. I noticed on the menu board that the “mix” kebab should of been £8? £6 was being cheeky at that! This place is probably ok after a massive sesh in town and you can’t be arsed walking to NQ for another extortionate priced kebab however the price you pay would be worth the walk rather than dine in this place. Will not return anytime soon. Even the chilli sauce was a bit tame

Went here last night after a good few drinks and ordered a kebab and a portion of chips. I payed contact contactless with my phone and have looked at my bank this morning to find 2 payments gone out totalling £18.50. Food quality was terrible and portions were minute. Avoid this place they'll rip you off and take advantage when you're too drunk to notice.

Not the best kebabs, but not the worst either. That's from an Indian perspective, and it's fair to say that as I've had many kebabs. Spicy is my flavour and the food, even the spicy sauce was not spicy.

How racist and rude they are omg. I ordered burger and they served it without any kind or sauce or mayoniz. I asked them for tissue and they behave very roughly. They judges people on the basis of identity.I dont know how people like this run business in this generation and specialy in Manchester piccadilly garden.

One word, "everything" is obnoxious including the business owner. A really bad attitude with food that is ultra processed. The business model adopted here is clearly one of fast sell, high profit and low customer experience. I dont think i have ever tasted food so BLAND in all my 23 years of living in Manchester. The chicken tikka kebab i purchased tasted like cardboard and would probably qualify as the WORST kebab in the UK. Janam is full of chavs and is a horrendous experience 🤮🤮

Ate many times there as it's closest to where I work, although, I'm not eating there anymore. Size of the kebab is disappointing, pizzas are covered in grease, prices are not attractive. Have to give extra star for a service. The guy who's always there is usually smiling and gives a welcoming vibe.

Be warned. If you order a deal with a can they will try to fob you off by not giving it to you. You literally have to beg them for it at the end. They try this trick everytime taking advantage of drunk people walking through the door. Also make sure if you do go you tell them what size you want as they will auto charge you for the biggest portion. Enjoy lol.

I was really happy with the service as boss man gave me and the lads a deal we could not refuse. Unfortunately the deal was too good to be true and the wings looked like something from Chernobyl, as the saying goes “don’t knock it till ya tried it” which we did and found the wings to taste like peggy Mitchell’s left breast. Later on that night I kept farting in the club Cargo and everyone could tell it was me I didn’t even try to deny it. In the taxi home, as quick as the wings went in they came out and I did a Janams all in my pants and had to walk the rest of the way :(

Ordered a donner, got all the way home, opened it and there is literally around 3 pieces of meet on the kebab. Not worth the £8 I have just paid for it. Pictures for proof, won't be spending my money there again.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at this location. The kebab I ordered was much smaller than expected, even though I had ordered a large size. The meat was good, but the nan bread was chewy and overpriced. My friend also tried the donner meat and found it to be of poor quality. Overall, this was not a satisfactory dining experience and I would not recommend this location

Update: Sad to say this place has nose dived and is now an absolute rip off serving up some of the smallest portions for the most ridiculous prices in the city centre. Avoid! Original: Janam has been my go to post night out kebab or pizza stop for the last 15 years. I cannot do justice with mere words to how wonderful an eatery this place is... unbelievably fast service with a smile every single time no matter what time of the night or how busy the place is. As highly recommended as is possible, I go here even if I've been out on the complete opposite side of town... no where else measures up in the service and quality you get from janam. I seriously LOVE Janams!

They stole £74.25 off me. Order cane to £8.25 and they charged me £82.50. I got the notification off my bank about 20 minutes later after i got to the hotel and then went back to find it was closed and stayed closed throughout the following day. No one answers the phone which seems to me like they know what they are doing. Do not go here!

Taste ok, not up to the next level good. I was not full due to that the Döner was so small. Asked for spicy - but he did not manage to deliver spicy Döner. The white cabbige looked and tasted "raw". I'd recommend to look for an alternative place to eat. I was glad I didn't get bad stomach actually. The £7 was overpriced!! - You can find good Burger w. Fries and a pint for thar price.

Been coming here since originally moved to Manchester back in 2003. One of the best take aways, if not in my opinion, thee best! Amazing for kebabs, pizza's, Indian starters and sides. Family run business, always service with a smile and happy to see returning customers. Sadly don't live in Manchester any more but have to visit each time I'm there to finish a night out and say hello.

I am contacting my bank tomorrow to advise them of 2 fraudulent contactless payments last night of £ 13.50 and £14. The most expensive portion of chips ever! Be warned. Unable to get through to the takeaway on the phone interestingly!!

These guys have taken on the hard task of feeding all the patrons that come out of Manchester's clubs late on a Saturday night! They had this efficient queuing system so everyone could stay dry inside and we were in and out with our food in about 10 mins. Guys running it were friendly enough considering some of the patrons they have to deal with, so props to them for keeping a smile on and using their manners. Food itself was good. We tried the chicken kebab and chips, popcorn chicken and chicken pakoras. All hot, fresh, cooked and no bad tummies the next day so... Jobs a good 'un! You can tell this is the fave kebab spot on the street. And it's probs for a reason!

Worst kebab I ever had, salad and sauce ok however chicken not cooked in parts, jelli-ish still. Disgusting. I couldn't eat it but because I'd already eaten some mouthfuls before noticing that parts of the chicken texture were not right I went to bed worrying about food poisoning. I did have a really bad tummy throughout the night which I am sure was due to the chicken not being cooked properly throughout. I would never get a kebab from here again. Avoid avoid avoid.

Food was nice, salad was fresh which is always a good indicator of cleanliness and shows good practice. Staff were very matter of fact but this but this was probably due to the fact is was rammed when I went in.. spice level was adequate. Chilli sauce which is a main deciding point for me when looking for a good asian food joint was nice.. Overall i would give janam and staff a 4 out of 5. Good establishment to eat from

Kebabs are average. Samosas are fried but still frozen inside. Chicken Pakoras are better.
