Went here as a family of 5 and looked forward to Sunday lunch as the tripadvisor reviews were so positive. Although, not set in a 'posh' part of Blackpool, the restaurant was very decorative and clean inside. We started with carrot / coriander soup and a superb black pudding / apple stack. This was followed by 2 beef and 3 lamb plus a Yorkshire pudding; roast and mash potatoes; 5 veg and gravy. Deserts included sticky toffee puddings and chocolate brownie accompanied by homemade ice cream. Washed down with wine; beer; lager and plentiful ice cold tap water. Thank you for your humorous entertainment Dan - a fabulous experience and meal.

This is our favourite restaurant on the planet. About 15 minutes walk from home. 4 minutes in a taxi so very convenient. Right in the heart of blackpool just by the train station. Went last night to celebrate our daughter getting a promotion. We loved every single delightful mouthful. Even more so as ive been on a diet for 6 months. But the food actually works really well with my new way of eating too so win win. Pate to start. Homemade as was the bread. Perfect. The lamb henry was exquisite as always. Super fresh veg to accompany it. Hubby had an amazingly delicious chicken pie. Not like the pies you get these days with hardly any filling. It was bursting at the seams. And the cheese board. Very rare i find a restaurant that does a cheeseboard. Perfect for a low carb diet. A fabulous warm welcome. Greeted like old friends. The amazing hosts Danny (front of house) and Gavin (top class chef). The food really is Michelin star. The music in the background gets us every time and helps create such a lovely ambiance in this small but perfectly formed little gem. They open their restaurant doors Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.

Bentleys Fish & Chips Shop

23/06/2018: We were at the Pleasure Beach and decided that we were hungry. Not wanting to pay prices in there we went for a walk. Very close to Pleasure Beach so we went in. It was a lovely day so we said we would eat outside. They lady serving us said to get a knife and fork and some condiments and they would bring them out to us. The fish was absolutely fantastic and great chips to go with it. It was a little windy and towards the end of my meal a gust blew my tray over. The chap in the shop asked if I would like a few more chips!!
05/06/2018: Really good friendly service and the chips were nice. It’s worth going away from the promenade to find this one and avoiding the rubbish places!

Yorkshire Fisheries

23/03/2018: We called in for lunch and had the haddock special. Very tasty. A good welcome a friendly service. One suggestion : can we have a custard option for the dessert pies please?
29/05/2018: We tried this Fish and Chip takeaway after reading the fantastic reviews on here. We ordered haddock and chips and they were freshly cooked and boiling hot. The fish fell apart as it was so fresh and the batter was crispy and to die for. The staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. I would recommend this chippy, we now have a new favourite when visiting Blackpool.
