Went here as a family of 5 and looked forward to Sunday lunch as the tripadvisor reviews were so positive. Although, not set in a 'posh' part of Blackpool, the restaurant was very decorative and clean inside. We started with carrot / coriander soup and a superb black pudding / apple stack. This was followed by 2 beef and 3 lamb plus a Yorkshire pudding; roast and mash potatoes; 5 veg and gravy. Deserts included sticky toffee puddings and chocolate brownie accompanied by homemade ice cream. Washed down with wine; beer; lager and plentiful ice cold tap water. Thank you for your humorous entertainment Dan - a fabulous experience and meal.

We visited Blackpool in October as part of a weekend break to the town, this was our second visit to the area and we had specifically came on this occasion to see the famous ‘Blackpool Illuminations’. We had travelled to Blackpool on a Friday by train and was staying in the McHalls B&B; and so chose to eat in the Bistro on our first night here.

Bentleys Fish & Chips Shop

23/06/2018: We were at the Pleasure Beach and decided that we were hungry. Not wanting to pay prices in there we went for a walk. Very close to Pleasure Beach so we went in. It was a lovely day so we said we would eat outside. They lady serving us said to get a knife and fork and some condiments and they would bring them out to us. The fish was absolutely fantastic and great chips to go with it. It was a little windy and towards the end of my meal a gust blew my tray over. The chap in the shop asked if I would like a few more chips!!
19/10/2018: You can tell I like these fish and chip as Tuesday I took the wife as she was going for a hip operation. We had haddock even though we had to pay an extra 30p each. Really lovely with crunchy chips and tasty fish and mushy peas.

Yorkshire Fisheries

07/07/2018: This place is well worth hunting out. Spotlessly clean, friendly service & proper fish & chips served with Yorkshire Cavaar (mushy peas).
23/08/2018: We regularly come here if in Blackpool. They have a take away or eat in restaurant. You can chose from a few things on the menu but it has to be either the haddock or cod and chips special with a brew and some mushy peas! The place is clean enough and the staff are always friendly.
