Really busy food wasn't the best

Every table dirty Service awful, gave incorrect food, didn't put salt on the fries and put bacon in the rap that was without bacon and were given the wrong drinks

I’ve visited this McDonald’s lots of times on my travels, not had the greatest experiences there. The kitchen seems to be full of bratty teenagers. I ordered a breakfast roll with no brown sauce and asked for a new one as they’d given me one with brown sauce. The young looking guy cooking them gave the manager some lip back when she asked him to make a new one & he took ages to make it in spite. Today I’ve ordered a mc crispy deluxe with no onion or lettuce, and the manager was very helpful in getting me a new one but the cooks were very annoyed because they had to make another one and all started staring at me. An extra note the bins are over flowing and the tables are not clean.

Messed up the order , friendly service though

This was actually a review going South West to Tavistock for our game at Tavistock AFC, and an ideal opportunity to get another Mac on the list. The place looked clean, staff friendly and service efficient. It was off peak so nice and quiet. The guy came out and cleaned tables as well. Enjoyed the McPlant. Plenty of salad and seasoning. Service station McD's are part of the family of McD's and they all count. My brother spotted a McD delivery lorry too and they can be quite rare. So extra points for that!

Very nice to come into, food was good when you been travelling. Staff very friendly. Chips could have been a bit hotter were luke warm, but still eatable.

I do not eat Macdonald's personally but useful if you need the loo!

Tasteless plastic food. Ovetpriced. What service? No worse than most other service areas, better than some but dire all the same.

Reasonable motorway service stop

Probably the worst service station on any motorway, huge queues for McDonald's as they was not much choice here, drive on and avoid...used the toilets but for the 1st time I didn't buy any goods on my Pit Stop.. Very shoddy indeed

A jolly good clean was required. Bins full to overflowing, tables dirty. The big mac is no longer big. Probably ½ the size of the 1980's that was a proper big mac.

A bunch of sheds posing as shops( all closed) and a really poor choice of retail. There was at least a gridserve charger available. Avoid

My stop to this McDonald's was just to order a grimace shake I had never tried one before and it was quite a long wait time for a milk shake and was just crowded busy overwhelming and just packed would recommend when not on tight time schedule 🙃

Terrible staff, especially manager

Our fries were almost cold and a verrry small portion. Took a good 20mins to get those, 2 cheeseburgers and a chicken mayo. On a Thurs lunchtime. Toilets were absolutely filthy. Will absolutely not go back

Visited mcdonalds during a long drive home from Cornwall to Manchester. The restaurant was very busy and there were queues to order at the order points. I have the app so used that to order and waited approximately 10 minutes to collect my food. It was nice and hot, the staff followed instructions (although why is it so difficult to give you a drink without ice when you request it?!) Would stop here again if passing on the motorway.

For god sake Mac Donald’s! Stop piling up the drinks, by the time we get our drink is warm brown water. Every time I have to ask for a fresh coke. It spoils the meal. Take note every Mac Donald’s.

Possibly the slowest service I’ve ever experienced at a McDonalds. From ordering to collection was 20 mins. Hot and cold drinks were stacking up meaning the hot drinks were no longer hot. My d.coke was flat and when replaced it tasted more like full fat coke. I was witnessing several complaints from other customers. Don’t think I’ll be stopping here again.

Stopped here overnight (hgv driver) found the place dirty and ended up with food poisoning a few hours later with the chicken not at the correct temperature…. Still off work after 2 weeks….NEVER AGAIN!!

As MC Donald's goes it's just McDonald's. However the lady that was walking around sorting tables and talking to customers could if quite easily be found at a high end restaurant. I have never been asked if everything is ok with the food at McDonald's before. When we sat at a table she asked if everything was ok and if the table needed a wipe down. Engaged with the kids and even got my dog a treat and some water. She needs to be national manager !!!!

Our favourite stop everytime we leave corrnwall. Good food loads of parking and helps to break up long journeys

Great place to stop to use the facilities. Considering how busy it gets with truckers and lorry drivers and farmers, they keep the public toilets very clean.

This has got to be the filthiest McDonalds I have ever been to. There's not a table that is clean and food is scattered all over the floor. It was the same last time we came a couple of months ago aswell. They really need to clean their act up !

Missed food off order and I didn't realise until back at the car and the coffee was Luke warm and revolting. I noticed that drinks are prepared ahead so are not hot when you get them. Very disappointing

Not good, food ok but the place is completely run down. Needed cleaning and in desperate need of updating.

My burger was cold. McDonald's takes the piss, selling cold food. I was given one milk for the tea I bought, which I found was not enough. The service was rushed. I didn't want the hassle of trying to rectify the disappointing order so I ate the cold burger and went away with a tea that wasn't very nice.

Place was dirty, tables not cleared, hygiene definitely not up to a normal standard that I would expect. Due to the dirty conditions, I only chose to have a hot drink, my daughter ate some nuggets. On saying that, it is a busy popular stop off full of families and workers. They have the monopoly for fast food, so I suppose they will always get the custom.

Absolutely shocking, don’t waste your money

Only ever buy the coffee which is good and cheap.

Considering we were the only ones there at 2300... the service was slow. The whole area was disgusting and dirty. Looked like they hadn't cleaned up in hours. The kitchen itself was messy. All the bins around the restaurant were over flowing. The condiments area was absolutely minging. 4 staff on including a manager and it was like no one give a care in the world. Wish my phone battery didn't die as would of photographed the mess. We dined in but luckily being parents, we used wet wipes to clean and clear the table and chairs.

Wow, held off from Cornwall, so hungry when we got here, what can I say, the McDonald's was vile! Sticky fool and food everywhere, went to ask for some cleaning products to clean a table and when I got to the till I could just see mess and food all over the fool and mess all where the food is made, omg vile!!! No words can explain how sick that just made me feel!!!!

The eating area is very dirty, even after witnessing two young girls doing the cleaning. They were focused more about laugh rather doing the work properly. Standard McDonalds, however disappointing if you want to eat in. Far from clean, and buckets/signs everywhere as roof appears to be giving up.

Happy fast food service while stopping for a break alongside the good old M5. The menu is very extensive and caters for all tastes. Costs could be considered expensive during the cost of living crisis, but, it's still a good motorway stop.

A bit shocked that I couldn't order anything with a milk alternative. Chicken fajitas wrap was very disappointing, 2 shrivelled bits of chicken with a lot of sauce which seemed to be mayo and tomato sauce mixed. Lettuce was nice and crispy

Typical motorway service area McDonald's - nothing terribly negative, but nothing terribly positive either. Visited after dark, and had the usual problem of very poor outdoor lighting - probably not a problem if you know the place, but very easy to get lost if you don't. Also, why does the big screen ordering process have to be so complex? Again, probably not a problem for regulars, but it took me ages to navigate.

So McDonald's have stopped doing fast food. 830am for breakfast and about 30 people are stood around waiting for their breakfast to be cooked. Really I have no idea why they have turned into a slow order out let It took 25 mins from order to pickup

Cold stale McDonald's fries...worst ever..

It is a great pity that McDonalds at Taunton Dean southbound services do not value customers at the end of the day as much as they value customers at the beginning of the day. I've visited this outlet very close to closing time at 11 o'clock at night and found it to be in appalling condition. I have attached some pictures they will show litter strune behind the counter and an obvious danger in the kitchen area. The customer service stations, where napkins, milk and sugar can be added where in a dreadful state. Not a single serviette to be found anywhere in the unit. Insufficient staff to serve the customers who were waiting and I contrast this to the service normally experienced at the beginning of the day when the place is immaculously clean and well presented with plentiful and attentive staff. I believe that my custom should be as wellcome to the company at the end of the day as it is at the beginning.

Standard McDonalds but it was very busy. We had to wait over an hour for our order (Which was one meal) and the order was still wrong. As it was so busy, it was hard to hear what orders were being called out and they were not updating the screens to reflect the order numbers. If you have to stop for food, then stop but I would keep going next time I pass

Had to stop here as motorway had been closed due to accident went to the mcdonalds very busy but staff did thier best to deal with sudden influx of people however we had a young 13 year old with us that just wanted fries sat outside at table where she actually broke a back tooth on the fries

I visit this Mc Donald lots of time in different times and days and always had the sam problem- no mc flurry icecream are avalible. All the time i am hearing that machine is broken. Maybe it is worth to invest with new machine. This is joke!!

Came late in the evening. Food cooked fresh to order as clearly didn't want to have food waste at end of the shift, so food was hot - positive. The fries were probably the best we ever had. Downside. Everyone seemed like they were working in slow motion. No umph, single gear working. Long brown haired chap cooking behind counter without hairnet on, which I'm sure is a health and safety violation. Young manager dealt with annoying customers well, frankly I would of snapped, but he acted calmly.

Absolutely woeful service. 5 young ones working behind the counter and cooker that looked like they had been forced to work there. A bunch of 90 year old care home users would display more motivation than they had. Slowest service ever..standing and chatting and 'working' like there wasn't a rush on them. The bloke serving had the face and manners of bloke on death row.

Early Sunday morning and not busy but I can honestly say this is the dirtiest Mc D's I've ever been in. Tables ,sides and condiments area haven't seen a wipe today.

It's one of the nicer services. Clean and open, not massive, but it has what u need. Nice outside area to sit and a good area to walk the dog.

Great bunch of staff. Always friendly. Was served yesterday by Crew Trainer “Dan” and was served by “Kyle” who served me with a smile 😃

Very quiet at 17.49. Unable to use any McDonald's App code. No table service cards at self ordering screens, so ordered to collect, no roll in machine so no receipt or confirmation of order number. Now wandering around trying to find a clean table to sit at!!!! Yuk! Seriously it's virtually empty but the tables are filthy! 😶 Another customer has now found the table cleaning stuff and is doing it himself. Food, once you get it, it's actually really good!! Nice and hot, tasty and fresh. Sort out clearing and wiping down your tables though!! And...... Another customer has just helped themselves to the cleaning stuff to do it themselves 😬

The food was good, the grand bigmac was amazing, and sadly forgot to take pictures. Got a galaxy mc flury. Sadly, it wasn't filled to the top but still tasted great. Food came out quickly, and the tables were clean.

At the end of the day, it's a McDonald's. Food was OK, they were very busy but organised enough to cope. It did the job.

Despite having large orders to fulfil this came out promptly, correctly made and tasty Usual let down with mcflurry quality and Coke was a bit flat but otherwise great and the service was genuinely refreshingly good!

Its a motorway service stop what can one say

Cold, draughty and a limited McDonald's menu. Grim

Service is a little slow compared to most McDonald's but has been fairly quiet every time I've visited. There is also a bleeping sound that is rather annoying that constantly goes on and on! Please sort it as I like this service station!

It wasn't very busy, yet the customers waiting for orders just seemed to be racking up compared to the few people eating. The food was okay, not worth what we paid for it tbh as it just about warm and looked as though it had been thrown together on the battlefield with sauce used as a graphic and violent style squirt (as if someone had caught their jugular) splurged all over the wrapper. The worrying thing is, that it took twenty minutes to create a meal in homage to Pablo Picasso. Send them down to Tiverton for some training!

It's a MacDonalds. On the plus side the service was quick, the packaging was low in plastic and the location was convenient.

This is for the ginger lad giving out the orders. Stop talking and having a social and put the straws in the bags. Must be a straw for every other customer 🤦🏻‍♂️

Clean and a cheerful man on the counter!

It must of been extremely busy when I went in as service was pretty slow! I only ordered 2 burgers and 2 sides of fries and was waiting about 25 mins. It wasn't fast food.

Stopped for a break returning home to S. Wales from Cornwall. Plenty of parking spaces to choose from even though it was mid day. Very spacious inside with lots of eating areas. The toilets were very clean. A very good motorway service area.

We stopped here on a hot weekend at lunch time but, even considering this, the queues were ridiculously long, service was slow and our order was incorrect. Lack of staff on the floor, cleaning etc. Oh, and the air con didn't work either 😕

Waited for 30 minutes in a very hot, dirty food hall at which point I went up to the counter to find that they had forgotten about my order. Finally got it only to receive a warm drink and temperate nuggets.

Ordered double sausage egg mc muffin got bacon and egg just thrown in bag not even rapped toffee latte like dish water could not return was already back on M5 never go back here again. Other mcdonalds on m5 are much better.

Food was good but had to eat it outside. The place was a tip. Dirty tables and empty wrappers everywhere. Ketchup tubs all over the counter, just didn't want to eat in that mess. It wasn't busy either.

So slow waited 20 mins for a burger and coffee
