Usually i would go here after work as it’s the only 24 hr one. Why did i pay for large meals to receive just the burgers. Fries are the best part

Come back late tonight with the kids from Spain all hungry and in need of some real British food, go through the drive through and get told to park up and wait, food come out 10 mins later after the guy walked around to 8 other cars except mine and walked back to the restaurant and a conversation with a group of people outside then went back in the restaurant come back out 5 mins later with cold so I sent it back and asked for hot food 10 mins later the same food come back out even closer, not happy at all at this point, so I go back round the drive through and ask for a refund, the manager was so rude and short changed me £1.40, McDonald’s get yourself some nice polite management as its really bad

Went there this morning ( 29/4/24) has a big sign up outside . Sausage and egg and coffee £2.79, ordered that and got told it’s for app only . I had a proper nothing on the sign stating for app only . False advertisement! !!!!!

This branch is the worst I have experienced in the whole country. Firstly tried ordering mcdelivery, they cancelled the order after an hour of waiting. Then drive there to try and get my order. The staff are incapable of even being polite let alone completing an order correctly. "park up"... when they have every bay filled and people blocking the exit by parking on the curb waiting for orders. When my order is finally handed to me it's wrong and the custom labels are a mix of different order numbers. The best thing the owner can do is either close the branch or sack the whole staff and start again.

Came for some last night food through the drive thru. Ordered 2 20 nuggets boxes, a double cheeseburger and medium fries. Only recieved the 2 nuggets boxes, they completely forgot one persons food. I don’t understand how it’s so hard to read an order… it’s literally 4 things and they remembered 2.

Made me wait 10 minutes for 2 cheese burgers at 2:30 am in the morning. Then produced 2 stone cold burgers that aren't even room temperature. Not the first time they've done this either. Steer clear of this mcdonalds. Literal con artists just trying to take your money.

Ordered the Crispy Chicken Smokehouse burger and first of all, the wrong bun was used, which rather spoiled the effect. It was coupled with fries that were lukewarm. The only highlight was the coke that was fizzy and tasty.

It's pointless this place having a drive thru or it being called 'fast food' when you are told to park up every single time and wait 10-20mins. Always make sure you check your bag as well as they will definitely miss items off your order. Just so, so bad.

We actually got a delivery new out menu mc phillie cheese what can I say fries cup was half full and cold burger the same barley warm hardly any onion inside actually there was 3piecescof onion and 1slice of pickle that was it,no dips and no straws for drinks , totally disgusting I vow never to order from there again.

Food was hot and edible however staff very rude. I visited drive through at festival leisure park and was ignored when asked for sauce and staff just shut window on us without checking that we had everything. No manners

when ordering food that had been customised due to allergies none of the food was prepared correctly. the staff show no professionalism about the service. Food is left sitting and not handed over and is then served cold. maybe the management need to rethink their staffing and consider employing staff that can read orders correctly.

Team leader was very rude Vicky (mrs Trunchable)).no hello no Thank-you actually did not even speak. She has no people skill and a smile would help. Food was wrong . Went back and a lovely young lady serve me who was polite and happy

1 , bought a bucket the chicken was all dry full of salt ! . Ate one chicken piece and that was it !. The family had the same views and ruined our evening . Certainly won’t be going back !

Went through the drive through got told it’s all in there . Got home now children’s meal and the Big Tasty looked like it had been sat on and the burger looked like it had a bite out of it !!! Total disgrace and I’m contacting Basildon Council regarding the bite of the burger ! AVOID

waited for 1/2 hour for my £10 worth of breakfast,some people ordered afte me got their order,staff never approach me to ask what can they do about me,they can see my face that im upset but,they just ignored me…lots of staff but just standing on the counter,very poor service and staff common sense

Visited McDonalds in Pitsea and amazingly the chips were hot and the coke was fizzy, and even the big mac looked like the picture. But they forgot to put any salt on the fries, so they tasted very bland. Come on guys, you need to focus on the detail, otherwise you're going to continue to get poor scores. But then again, does anyone at McDonalds actually care about their customers and the quality? I doubt it.

Don’t do it. Don’t bother. Don’t even think about this McDonald’s, it’s better if it’s not in your life or mind at all. The absolute worst McDonald’s I’ve been to - and admittedly I’ve been to a lot! Customer service for sure is a 0. Cleanliness is also a 0. Getting the items you actually pay for is extremely doubtful. Drive Thru/car park is always a mess. You’ll be waiting for ages. Your food will be cold (more often than not the burgers are only half wrapped, falling out the box/wrapper etc). I don’t know what the management at this restaurant is playing at, absolute shambles. I always have this branch the benefit of the doubt as it is my local branch, but no more. They’ve had too many chances and failed at every single hurdle. DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst McDonalds in the country. I have reviewed a lot of places and a few McDonalds in my travels around the world, most of them are "meh. It's a standard Mcdonalds" but this place sets itself apart. The staff are rude and unaccommodating, the food is often cold, and worst of all despite McDonalds' most recent slogan of "always as you like it" you most certainly can not have it "Always as you like it", here should you dare to request an alteration at the drive thru even on the emptiest of night it will be met with rejection and being told in no uncertain terms our way or the highway ironic with it being located on the A13. There are multiple far better places to eat in close proximity trust me it's worth the extra few minutes wait or drive.

rude staff! no customer service skills at all. I have visited multiple few times while on shift at the local A&E and they always have a problem honouring the emergency service discount. I don’t have this issue in any over branch. They act as of it is coming from there wage package!

I am renowned for my dislike of McDonalds but nevertheless found myself eating at this branch with my daughter and granddaughters on October 23rd. The restaurant was impressively clean and tidy. We had a bit of a wait for my veggie wrap but other than that when the food arrived it was fine. I was pleased to see that there were healthier options available - not that we opted for them. However as soon as we sat down we spilt a drink. My daughter went to the counter and asked for something to mop it up with. No sooner had she got back when two lovely ladies turned up to sort it out for us. They were so nice about it and then they got us a replacement drink. They also helped us as we were leaving, in a bit of a hurry. One of my numerous issues with McDonalds over the decades has been how impersonal it felt. These ladies changed that. One was called Chloe and the other had a three letter name that I couldn't quite read. They, and the counter staff that drew their attention to our spillage, are doing a great job there. I will go again.

Come here regularly with my dad usually have latte 9 times out of 10 they have 2 go back as no froth so like normal coffee! not what weve paid for! normally change but regular customer service lady not in she's always so helpful.we got told nothing can do both machines broke! terrible customer service! didnt care!!

Popped in to get some food on my way back from London late one Sunday evening, very disapointed, food fairly average but I was starving and would have ate anything. I also realised why it's a 24hour McDonald's, not because it's open 24hrs but that's about how long it takes for your order to be processed, service is not their strong point..

Basically I am a food snob, but having seen the TV add for the new wraps, and finding myself unusually alone for lunch decided to give it a try. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and I was greeted by a lovely lady who showed my how to work the automated ordering service. By chance my choice of wrap was the special of the day at £1.99p. I was asked if I wanted the chicken grilled or breaded. The wrap and a coffee were served to my table in just minutes freshly cooked and delicious. The coffee was hot and flavoursome and not served in a bucket. I was spoken to by three members of staff all made me feel most welcome, especially appreciated as I was on my own. If the person who has this McDonalds franchise is reading this your team are to be congratulated.

We used Mcdonalds twice today. Both times we saw Cheryl standing around chatting and doing no work whatsoever. Meanwhile Elizabeth and another male member of staff were doing all the clearing up and cleaning. It wasn't that nothing needed doing either, as some tables had not been cleared by customers and toilets were dirty and had no soap in!!! (she might have had an off day though?)However service was fine.

The reason why people use a drive thru is because they are in a hurry or too lazy to get out of the car, but why should they put up with second rate food?McDonald's seems incapable of serving up hot fries, let alone the burgers. I don't know why I bother.

They seem to be spending loads of money on railing to keep the homeless away from the drive through but nothing on the guttering that stops drive through customers from getting soaked while they pay (inside of car had dried abit before i took a picture)

I thought that after all this time (6 years ago we left Basildon & moved to Suffolk) McD's would have improved. There was no point in phoning them to complain as we wont be back to Essex for a long time! Disappointed!!

Used the drive through to order burgers, chips with fizzy drinks. Got home (5 minutes away) and discovered NO burgers were in the bag. Back we went to collect the right meals, and when we got home we discovered that the drinks were flat, warm and undrinkable. Terrible considering that the drive through wasn't busy. Didn't expect a profuse apology but didn't staff didn't seem to care.

We often use this Mcdonalds unfortunately just recently it appears that the training has gone to pot. Nobody knows what they are doing past nine at night. In the daytime you have wonderful helpful smiley staff and food Is ok come ten oclock or later nothing ever goes to plan and food is always cold. Ive given you plenty of chances but I wont anymore.

Just want to say thanks to Val (pitsea McDonald) who went out of her way to get me bbq sauce while she was busy doing something else and helped me promptly and with a smile!

Burger came W/ cheese hanging out the side and toy broke in 3 seconds. Literally, 3 seconds. 3 Mcflurrys and 3 milkshakes didnt come. That was 80% of the meal. Queue was long and unintelligent staff.

Came here through the drive,through ,once again I have experienced cold food, no thanks you either from the staff, seems they do not want to be there, had to ask for serviette, and when I asked for a receipt, the reply was we haven't got any till roll, started to eat my food as I'm driving along, and it was stone cold, never again

24 hours very fast and friendly service always has a drive through so if you can't get to the town this will do the trick if you like fast food.

Popped into McDonalds Pitsea for breakfast on Sunday. It was my first McDonalds breakfast in about 10 years, and wow was I disappointed. It was crazy busy in there (10am) and all the self order positions were full. We went to order at the counter and our order was taken in a couple of minutes. My partner had to wait around 7 mins for the food to be ready which we don't mind as we'd rather freshly cooked, hot food than anything else. When we were given our food, most of the order was wrong. No syrup with the pancakes, egg in the mcmuffins when we'd ordered them to be without, hot chocolate instead of coffee etc. There was also no cutlery ready, and when my partner asked for some, the girl on the counter said 'Well what do you need cutlery for anyway?' Well, we're not going to eat pancakes with our hands are we...We sent back our order, including the pancakes as these had now gone cold waiting for the syrup to be ready, and waited for ages - after 20 minutes, I went up to the desk and asked what was going on. Eventually, the manager came over and said he would refund the pancakes and bring our food over. The whole place seemed to be out of control and none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. A really disappointing experience and we won't be back to this branch.

My wife, me, my daughter and two of the grand children visited this restaurant for lunch. We parked without any problems and managed to get a table again without problems. My wife had a plain cheese burger meal, I had the new Thai chicken meal, my daughter had a chicken meal, the boys - one had chicken nuggets meal, and one had a burger childs meal.The meal came very quickly and went down very well with all of us. A good and inexpensive meal for our family.

They have doubled the number of cars that can go through the drive-through but still only one lane to pay/collect the order. Much too long a wait for a drive-through. Staff were helpful and food was good but I asked for 2 chilly dips and got 1 bbq and 1 chilly so not enough dip to enjoy the large chicken select meal. That grates with me much as the queue as I don't like bbq dip.Very disappointing. Probably try KFC opposite for chicken lunch for a while.

I never really review places like this but I felt the need to say well done to the pitsea mcdonalds staff. I usually use the drive through to order and take away but do eat in every now and again. I have noticed lately that the people taking orders are very friendly, cheerful and do a good job. keep up the good work guys it makes a big differance to us customers.

Only go to drive through here but young staff always seem very friendly and polite. They now operate with an outside person to take the drive through order of every other car manually so this makes the queue move so much quicker. Burgers are as expected but iced mocha latte to die for! XXXX

Don't get me wrong, I like McDonald's but this area is horrid. The car park is strewn with litter, the clientele is shabby & the restaurant itself could do with a tidy. The girls that served us on the drive through got the order wrong, I think this is because they are only about 12!We had to go into the restaurant to change the order & waited ages in the queue. The staff don't seem to know what one another are doing.

Ever heard "ain't broke don't fix it " if yes then why the hell have you removed the McDonalds Big Breakfast. I don't remember it not selling ! I don't remember a pole asking their customers. The new menu is rubbish and personally I like to sit down with knife and fork for breakfast not something wrapped in doe and paper. Well done American Corporation. Mind you must say its reduced the que's !!! Maybe that alone should tell you something. I will now be finding a cafe or a pub chain that serves breakfast not this trash you call breakfast. The breakfast time has now changed to 10.30 on Sunday's, this wasn't advertised anywhere so we ended up having lunch! The only sign still says 11am. Very disappointed. The staff that served me were very nice & helpful.

Now I don't usually eat in places like McDonald's, but we were up and out the door early to take the cat to the vet's (virtually next door to this branch) and my son hadn't had time to have any breakfast, so I promised him a McDonald's breakfast as he is still of that age that it is a treat and not a punishment for some unspecified crime. We got into the restaurant just after 10am and the queue to be served was right back to the door. I was ready to leave there and then, but my son wasn't. He wanted a breakfast wrap and woe betide anyone who was going to stop him. I thought it would be worth to stop him being bored in the vet's waiting room with Mummy and the cat. After not too long we made it to the counter where a young man took our order and our money. And we began to wait. We waited. And we waited. And we waited a bit more. Soon we were waiting so much we were almost up to Olympic qualifying standard for waiting. Other people came in, ordered, were served and left, and we were still there. Just waiting. At 10.30 all the boards with the breakfast menus on them were spun round and lunch time McDonald's treats started being sold and sent out. And we carried on waiting for our breakfast wrap. Several other people around us started making harrumphing noises about the lack of any breakfast wraps - I mean seriously, how long does it take to cook a slice of bacon, fold it in a flour wrap and shove some cheese and ketchup round it? A lady complained to the young female manager that she had been waiting for 45 minutes for her wrap and received, not an apology but the words "it's not been 45 minutes" to which I called out that I had been there for at least 25 minutes, and as a side little joke I complained that I had been clean shaven when I arrived (I hasten to add I have a beard). Finally at about 10.40 we received our food, with a mumbled apology from the spotty herbert who served us and two free extra hash browns to make up for the wait. When we got outside my wife and the cat had been into see the vet, been treated and had paid and had come out again, all while we waited for our "fast food". If this is fast food then God help McDonald's if they ever start serving stuff like lobster thermadore - they'd have to install accommodation and medical staff for anyone with a shortened life span. Frankly, a terrible experience.

Waited in the drive through for twenty minutesFor the worst meal I have eaten or tasted I should say, staffed by school kids, my big mac fell to bits was soggy like baby food, chips went cooked either.Never again

Had to repeat my order in the drive through about 5 times, I asked for a large coffee and he asked me if I if I ordered a large Pepsi! They don't even sell damn pepsis! It got that frustrating one of the workers who was standing in the drive through come over and gave the other worker a telling off through the machine, and eventually walked around to the window and ordered him to sort himself out. That was just the beginning though, once I had finally placed my order, and waited 10 minutes for it to arrive (normal for pitsea McDonald's) I found a dead fly inside my Big Mac box, straight away I returned into the drive through and handed it back to the staff, who then had the audacity to suggest I had placed the fly into the box myself, in which I was surprised as carrying dead flies isn't a thing I do, I wasn't even there to complain, I just wanted a refund which I had to wait a further 5 minutes for! And I never even received a damn apology, their customer service and hygiene is one big joke. I will definitely not be returning to pitsea McDonald's ever again, I'd rather starve.

I ordered a chicken burger got back to my hotel to find I had just bitten into a beef burger! Eating beef is against my religion so I was furious! I went back to the restaurant to complain and the member of staff was rude, she didn't care that she had given me the wrong order she said I had ordered the beef burger, after speaking to the manager she was no better! The worst customer service ever they couldn't have cared less... All I got was a crappy apology and and they changed my burger.... Never mind the fact that I've just eaten something that is against my religion because the staff are to incompetent to get the right order! Absolutely pathetic! My first and last visit!

Chips always WAY to salty I always have to brush my hands off and blow the chips to remove the salt, it's disgusting, waiting times way too long.

Visited this branch of McDonald's a few times now,always looks grubby and the staff look stressed.Stopped off to use the drive thru for breakfast on Sunday morning.Service was good and the staff was friendly.A very busy restaurant on a Friday night and there could do with a few more checkouts.The food is the same as any other place with the Golden Arches.

The trouble with mcdonalds is that at certain branches they always present the food really well and its hot and tasty but then there are the branches that badly let the name down like the pitsea branch. Most of the mcdonalds branches in london are really good but seeing as i was in pitsea last saturday morning and was abit hungry i popped in this branch which um i only really do if i am abit hungry (kinda last resort type of thing) well here we go again, all i can say is when i took the top bun off i found this kind of ripped up dropped on the floor egg creation. Enough said and i think next time i would rather go hungry.

I had an ice-skating birthday party this year and we decided to have it at Riverside (which is near a Retail park, which has a Mcdonalds inside it), so we had lunch there but not enough room and an American restaurant.
