Mcdonald's Restaurants in St. Helens

Ordered on the McDonald's App, delivered by ubereats, food arrived freezing cold, wet because it's been put in bags warm and the order was half missing. Awful customer service from both McDonalds who didn't want to know and Ubereats are useless to deal with. Will never ever order online again.

To many online orders being processed, the collection area is often full of delivery drivers, so it's difficult to collect your order. If you ever wonder why your McDonald's delivery is cold it's because it sits there on a shelf with no heat lamps waiting for the driver to fight through the melee of people to collect it. The drive though is OK but too small just like the car park. Ohh, try to avoid busy periods ad often it looks like the food has been thrown together. Too much work for too few staff working in too small a kitchen in my opinion. Staff are nice and usually friendly hence the service rating.

The sauce is always missing when I order online

Every morning my partner goes into Macdonald's to get " just a latte " and every day his experience is gradually getting worse , this morning his latte was well god knows how they can call it a latte, how hardxcan it be to serve " junk food " !!!!!!!!!

Messed up the order then the manager left me waiting for 10 minutes because she "Couldn't be bothered get it" from the servery unit directly behind her. No attempt at an apology was made for the inconvenience and the attitude of the manager gave me second hand embarrassment, I understand that it's a mcdonalds not fine dining but there a clear lack of customer service skills from this manager which is very sad considering she's setting the standard for the rest of the staff

Ordered through the McDonalds App… “FAST Food”… That it is not!!! Then when it arrived, food was missing and the food that arrived was cold. Rang them and spoke to “Manager” (I use that title lightly) Debbie. Explained we were missing food and she said leave feedback on the App, I asked where that was on the App and her response… “I’ve no idea, I’ve never used it!” EXCELLENT Customer Service - Then went on to give me the telephone number for UberEats - As I paid them apparently and NOT McDonalds (AGAIN… What a load of nonsense).

Got drink order wrong, only realised when I was well away from the place and fid not have time to go back

Awfull experiences with this branch . Can sit in thr drive thru for ages onlyfor some one else to get served before i do . Mutiple times. And then sit waiting again for a few mins . Drove around to fisrt window and there is not a smile in the place . And was looked at like im an inconvenience all i want is a coffee not 5 mins waiting when there is no other cars there only for one to pull up and they get served

How difficult can it be to put items off a list into a brown bag? Apparently it's impossible for the staff here who, on now the second occasion, seem incapable of such a basic objective. We only ordered five items yet they managed to deliver three?! Then when you ring them they just give a useless "sorry about that" and expect you to go to the store to resolve an issue of their making. Whatever they do manage to deliver is always stone cold as well - quite why any of us (myself included) keep falling for this bull when we all know how bad they'll end up being, is anyone's guess. We're all gullible I guess but I won't be ordering from this useless branch again.

Sent me food that had been sitting around for an hour on a delivery. When I rang to speak to someone the person was rude and was just shouting over me. Wanted to leave a zero review but it's not possible

Drive through, asked to wait in parking bays, 15 minutes later I went inside asking where my order was, Too busy with the deliveroo and just eat orders, when I went in there was nothing but them waiting for deliveries, They should allocate one shop for deliveries only, it's bloody ridiculous

Not a happy customer, waited 34mins to get my app order for restaurant collection. Somebody bagged it up for a delivery.They supposed to of made another order up but when I got home my big mac was stone cold and I couldn't be bothered to drive back there after waiting over 30mins for my food. 🤬🤬🤬

VITO THE GENERAL MANAGER OF ST HELENS LINKWAY MCDONALDS TOLD ME THAT I COULDNT HAVE MY DOUBLE SAUSAGE AND EGG MCMUFFIN , AS IT WAS FORGOTTON ON THE DELIVERY AND SAID IT WAS NOT POLICY OF THE RESTRAUNT BECAUSE IT WAS A DELIVERY ISSUE , I WENT ON AND TOLD HIM IT WAS NOT A DELIVERY ISSUE AS THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH DELIVERY , DELIVERY WAS FINE AND ON TIME . IT WAS A RESTRAUNT ISSUE AND THEY HAD MISSED IT OFF THE ORDER , UBER BACKED THIS UP BECAUSE THEY REFUNDED THE AMOUNT FOR MISSING ITEMS . ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE , VERY ARROGANT , VERY RUDE. , WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS MCDONALDS , THE MANAGER IS NOT A VERY NICE PERSON . STAY AWAY !!

Much better experience dining in then having it delivered from here. Staff were really friendly, the restaurant (sounds strange to call it that) was spotless 👍🏻

Cold food! Long wait despite not being busy! Milk shake put in a cup that had clearly been used before! Don't go here! There are loads of other outlets within half a mile. Try elsewhere - they can't be worse!

Used the drive through, had to wait for the food to be prepared fresh as I'd ordered a veggie deluxe. Food arrived piping hot and was delicious.

Absolutely terrible service and have been fleeced. Sat in drive in queue. Ordered a Large Quarter pounder meal (with large chips, large strawberry milkshake), Chicken Mayo Burger and an Apple Pie. Got to first window. Staff inattentive. Handed me the payment card reader. Paid by card and it beeped so payment must have gone through. Go to second window after waiting seven mins in queue. Staff starts to hand me a tray of drinks. I said to her, they aren't mine. She took the drinks back in. Told her what my order was. She spent another minute looking round for something. Then said sorry but your payment hasn't gone through. I said it must have done as card reader beaped. Fed up and as couldn't be bothered waiting or going in to argue and wait even longer drove off. Five mins later mobile phone app beeps to say McDonalds payment has been taken out of account. Either incompetent, or a company that is a bunch of thieves and liars.

Quick service and the food was hot and well dressed.

Poor accuracy for on line delivery service. Everytime I've ordered. My order has either had an item missing or not what I've ordered. Last week, I ordered 2 big mcmeals with a chocolate brownie. I received 2 chicken sandwich meals and no chocolate brownie. 🤷‍♀️

WAS Best out of st helens sites, now food looks like it's been previously eaten and spat out, they make you drive around because of their issue... then serve stone cold chips.... arrogant manager.

I was passing this McDonald's, went through drive thru an I waited ages even tho it's suppose to be fast food I wouldn't mind there were only a couple cars in front, the chicken nuggets were ok just warm but the chips only ordered a small portion they were just full of the hard little crispy bits don't ever order the small portion, thankfully It was only a 1 off.

I am disappointed with the service here, it is convenient for me to call here as its not far from home but I very rarely get the order I have asked for. On nearly every occasion of driving through drive through I am asked to park up and wait for meals ( not really fast food ) and then they are wrong!! Also ice cream machine always broke and not cheap either when spending £25 per order

As usual ordering anything vegan you have to park up and the chips are absolutely awful! Luke warm, no flavour under cooked.

Always arrives cold and never once arrived with straws for drinks or sauce dips for nugget share boxes probably 16-17 year olds ketted out of the minds doing these orders

Not the same since Donna left food still OK service not as good as it was and atmosphere was down staff not as happy as they where but good for the kids never have ice cream or milkshakes think they need new equipment in there or is it just lazy staff that don't want to clean the equipment

I only ran in for the toilet ... Staff were friendly and foods is always adequate plus parking is generally good too

I had problems with my truck outside the restaurant yesterday(mon)the staff were pouring water on my burning tyre and gave me a large coke when I really needed it.they aĺ were lovely and super helpful.thank you again

We waited more than half an hour for our food. As we were busy, we couldn't wait more than half an hour. We had to leave our order. Is this really a fast food restaurant?? We were very disappointed

We was asked to park up to bring the food out, 15 mins later to make a plain Big Mac meal it still hadn’t arrived so had to ask for our food and was told it would be out next, 5 mins later it was out. Food was hot and appeared to be fresh.

If your ordering more than one meal, check you have all your food before driving off. £40 on 5 meals and more than half of the order missing and its not the first time.

Slowest service, hence why there’s always the biggest queue at the drive through so I avoid, however, I fancied a quick snack and decided to use the drive thru as there were 3 cars in front. I only wanted a cheeseburger, to which they can’t even get right. I ended up with a regular burger, with no garnish, onion etc so not even a regular burger. . Even the girl who handed it to me at the window said “cheeseburger”. Not sure what I got really and for it not to be even hot was worse! . Disappointed. Will not be going here again.

Worst Mcdonald ever. The customer service is appalling, the staff are miserable, they have got kids doing a job they don't want to do. MCD needs to better train their staff. They give the worst cold food all the time after they ask you to park and half the order is missing most of the time. And then the quality of the food is disgusting.

An absolutely shocking McDonald's. Every time you use the drive thru you are guaranteed to be waiting at least 15 minutes without fail! I went tonight as I had 30 minutes before my night shift and ordered a chilli wrap and coffee. Waited over 20 minutes on the car park and ended up driving off and leaving my order as I would have been late. Avoid at all costs and use the MC Donald's 2 minutes away on the roundabout. Very very poor

Not a place I frequent very often as I'm not a lover of burgers but I do like the coffee at mac's, on this occasion I ordered a crispy chicken 'wrap of the day' and at £1.99 I couldn't fault it probably one of the best I've had at McDonald's so credit where it's due and the food arrived ( on this occasion) in good time 😊

Every time I come through the drive thru, you get parked, don't matter what time of day you come you get parked. You can come at the quietest times and you get parked. The mcflurry and milk shakes are only available 1 in 3 times you go. Sort it out!

Absolutely disgusted by the system where you order a breakfast and get the completely wrong order. Even the incorrect order was missing an item. I have to say that with every order I have made here something has been wrong or not sent this though takes the cake! Several disappointed people and then the wait to get a refund & then told it will take up to 15 days! Never again, this is totally unacceptable

Quick service. I walked in at about 9.40pm. Not many customers, but it looked like they had a lot of deliveries going out. Fast, quick, and easy .

Go to the other one. Drive thru is pointless, you ALWAYS have to park up and wait 10 minutes. Yet somehow you still have to queue forever just to order. No point going inside, just full of delivery drivers. Order is always missing something, or cold, or both. Amazed they've not lost their franchise.

Service a bit slow and more often than not something is missing from the order. Typical McDonalds food which serves it purpose and tastes nice, albeit could be a little hotter and fresher when served.

Called at lunchtime for a cup of tea to warm up on a chilly motorcycle ride. Car park was a jammed mess. Managed to get to an ordering screen after a couple of minutes’ wait, but its printer didn’t work. The counter was behind a scrum of Deliveroo and Just Eat drivers and more space was taken up by a metal rack of delivery orders which was just randomly parked in the middle of the restaurant. The tea came surprisingly quickly but I’m glad I didn’t order food.

The McDonalds in St Helens Retail Park was a disgrace today. Lots of crawlies around the window ledge + crawling onto our table. I didn't enjoy the food due to this. Awful. Xx

Drove through the drive through to be told it was not accepting orders, but I could go in and order.

Still get the orders wrong, after so many years. Employ people with some brains may be not just kids so you don't have to pay them full money.

I went through an empty drive through so great ordering experience until the final window to be asked to park up, no spaces to park up as the previous 10 cars where also asked to do the same! 20 minutes later and im still waiting whilst watching deliveroo and just eat drivers come and go!!! No longer a drive through more like an online ordering service i wonder whether they get commission from the delivery companies 🙄

Waited over 90 minutes for food it came ice cold couldn’t eat a thing! We received the wrong drinks too so didn’t like them and was yet again unable to drink them. This isn’t the first time I swore ages ago I would never come back as every single time there are multiple issues but I gave them benefit of the doubt again and now here I am having issues again. Need to stop employing kids and give some proper training. A blind monkey could do a better job

Never Eating Mcdonalds Again. Ordered MC Crispy with fries & drink. MC Crispy wasn't cooked properly and had blood oozing out of burger. Fries were cold. When I complained staff swore at me "only Gordon Ramsey can complain you beep". Emailed McDonalds complaining what happened. Plus emailed Food Agencies so they can see for themselves. I sent photos.

What have I just been too….. yes I know it’s a “ fast “ food “ restaurant “ but, I have to say how disgusting this McDonald’s is. Put it this way- midges everywhere, smelt rotten, staff didn’t talk to us and took 20 minutes for two Medium cokes to be made. Then to top it all off…… I opened my cup, 4 midges were floating in my coke. Disgusting I will be emailing the Food Standards Agencies regarding this matter. If you are reading this, please do read more of the reviews- and don’t eat here 😊. Apart from that, turn your McFlurry machines on!!

Typical fast good drive through

Have no idea why anyone would go here. I was taken there by a friend for a quick breakfast on the go. Never again! Loud music blaring away, no help from staff, in fact a group of staff were lounging around chatting to each other and playing on their phones. Food was mediocre, had to search all over for condiments- appalling experience.

Fast service, great food, friendly atmosphere.

People who work here need the sack end off can never ever get an order right
