Ordered on the app, the delivery arrived in good time but the chips were cold and was missing a burger from one of the meals, this isn’t the first time an item has been missing from a delivery! I should really learn a lesson from this and stop using this branch but it’s like they will care about losing one customer

Drive through, once again despite I was told it was all there I got home and cheeseburger was missing, and despite being in a bag to keep it hot might not have bothered as the burgers were cold. Bad service and needs more checking before handing over.

Mc Donald’s canvey island gets the trophy for the worst ever the food is always wrong cold thrown together today we had burgers that had so much salt in them they had to be thrown away cold chips watery milkshake and it’s not cheap now when you complain to them they look at you as if got 2 heads attitude is terrible best to avoid if possible it’s a dump

My mum ordered on the McDonald’s app/ Uber eats. Once we got our order it was stone cold and they missed most of our items. A double cheese burger meal and apple pies. The fries were cold and undercooked. The chicken nuggets tasted horrible. Once we called up to tell them our items were missing they didn’t care and told us to go thru the Uber eats app, even though they’re the ones who didn’t put the items in. They are rude and weren’t helpful at all. I don’t think will order from them again!

I've delivered for Just Eat/Uber/Deliveroo for 6 years and I have never experienced anything as bad as this McDonald's and I can echo all of the negative comments already left about how rude management are and the lack of care given when it comes to getting orders right or out on time. They are so hell bend on blaming the drivers for their short comings. They barely ever get an order right and if something is missing they will say it's the drivers fault. We don't pack the orders and all orders are sealed. I've been told directly by staff members "to be honest the food is usually cold when we give it to you anyway" I've even refused to take an order before as it was packed an hour before I even arrived. Whilst I can empathise that the original driver had "dropped" the order so it wasn't McDonald's fault that the order wasn't collected at the original time intended, they refused to remake the order, so I refused to take it and had to ask the customer to cancel the order otherwise they would receive stone cold food. There are clearly still issues that need to be resolved when it comes to uber deliveries and the way the app works but ultimately if the customer has paid for food which is spoilt and McDonald's response is "once we've packed it, it's not our problem" and suggest the customer asks for a refund and re orders, what difference does it make to them? In fact, surely it costs less to remake a meal then give a refund AND remake a meal.Either way the cold food is wasted, just give the customer what they paid for and make sure its edible. The management are all on an ego trip, they treat customers and drivers like they are criminals always trying to rob something from them and never admit that it's their shoddy practices and ridiculous store policies that are the problem. I could go on but honestly there are so many incredible places to spend your money on Canvey Island, where the staff genuinely care about the quality of your food, treat the drivers as part of their company and care about the customers. McDonald's do not care at all. It's such a waste of your money. Don't do it.

When me and my wife was there the management was rude the food was burnt the lobby was not clean woman with white hair was cleaning but was missing vital areas but worst of all we overheard employees talking about mice in the back area of the store and the store manager was rude and constantly shouted at employees and customers

Shocking terrible ordered food online hour later tuned up stone cold and half of the order missing called the store and explained this and Jordan told me he couldn’t do anything about this and to contact Uber. Uber didn’t pack my order so it wasn’t their fault my order was missing I offered to bring back the order so I could have a fresh one and to get what I was missing again told by Jordan I wasn’t allowed to do this as the people who pay him wouldn’t allow this end result McDonald’s canvey wouldn’t help and neither would Uber missing 2 kids meals out of 3 and one adult meal out of 3 £47 wasted never again am I going to be using McDonald’s canvey avoid this place everyone

Went here for breakfast, after waiting 10 mins, I gave the breakfast roll back to be corrected because it was missing egg and bacon, after about 5 mins they brought it back to us and it was still missing the ingredients that we paid for. Place is ran by idiots. Not even an apology either.

I am currently sat in Canvey McDonald’s with my 13 year old son. There is a congregation of staff sitting out the front (some suppose to be working) in five minutes I have found out that Alfie and another staff member with glasses smoked weed. Alfie also doesn’t like one of the workers even though the other worker likes him and he was saying how he smells and is greasy. Alfie then decided to make gagging sick sounds whilst we are all here trying to eat our food. Very unprofessional and even worse that management have not come out and addressed this.

I have a very unhappy child with no happy meal!! Ordered a meal delivery for my family but no meal in the bag. Telephoned McDonald’s & response is that drivers for Just Eat are self employed so cannot send them back with rest of the food, I must contact Just Eat for a refund. Well I’m sorry McDonald’s it’s your mistake then you should rectify it immediately at your expense or ensure the whole meal order is correct at the time of collection by the driver, as they cannot check it!!

One of the staff members here called ‘carl’ was very polite and hospitable for me especially after a long journey into the island, very helpful which is very rare when ordering a McDonald’s at late hours of the night. Great employee, need more like him in other branches. 👍

I was persuaded to try this branch of Mcdonald's again after my previous disappointing experience in 2014. We wanted something quick and we were hungry, so I agreed.Impressive refurb, up to date tech at point of sale, but the same old rubbish.I like Mcdonald's, but something is very wrong with the set up at this branch.We waited just under 10 mins for our order, (very few people in the restaurant, but the drive-through looked busy). I did't mind as I thought that the wait meant the 2 Big Tasty meals ordered would be fresh!How wrong I was. Yet again lukewarm limpid fries, lukewarm slapped together burgers. The fillings were so far off to the right of the burger, half of it was in the container. Maybe if we had gone through the drive through it might have been better...I don't know. I will not go to this branch again. Shame because I like to support local businesses even multi-nationals, as they give employment/support to the local community. What a waste of my allocated calorie intake for the day!!Coffee was great though!

I’m a Canvey local, so I come here a lot. Often there are missing items in our order when we pick it up from the drive thru, so before leaving I’d recommend making sure you got everything you asked for. Occasionally the food it very sloppy and greasy, once it was so bad I had to ask for a replacement. Its not the best here, but It’s a McDonald’s, I’m not sure what to expect. At least its a place to get something to eat.

Used the drive-through on Sunday around 7pm.As soon as we got in the queue we wished we had parked and gone inside to pick up our food. There were 3 cars in front of us but it took over 15 minutes for us to reach the order window!!I have never used such a slow drive-through. Thankfully our order was correct. We won’t be using the drive-through again and possibly won’t bother with this restaurant at all. Useless service. Thought it was fast food!Should be no stars.

The last 3 times ive been there they've got my order wrong! This is particularly vexing as I go through the drive through so I don't realise until I get home, one time they missed half my order, one they gave me the complete wrong burger in the right box and the third they missed ingredients off my burger. I work in Canvey Island and as such I have the displeasure of using this particular mcdonalds regularly. I've dined at all times, and consider the morning team much much worse than the afternoon team, but have encountered enough fopar's now for me to write a review on this particular mcdonalds.It's quite sad that it's come to this, I'm not mad at the service, i'm just a bit embarrassed for this particular branch 1) They're slow. very very slow. Always, If you go in store, there will not be a queue deeper than 1 person deep. I challenge anyone to get in and out in under 4 minutes, even with no clue.2) They often take the wrong order when going through the drive through, and occasionally in store, this is mainly on "large orders" capable of feeding 4+ people but not always.3) The chips almost always taste like the oil is old, and they are ALWAYS a maximum temperature of luke warm.Point 2 would suggest that everything is cooked fresh (hence slow service times) however the temperature of the food suggests otherwise.4) The only lady who actually seems to be helpful is a lady who seems to have a slight disability in her legs. (her service is always 5 stars). 5) The milkshake machine is never on before 11am.milkshakes may not be for everyone pre 11am, but It should still be available if it's on the menu.6) This mcdonalds often runs 3 queues.OrdersCollection pointPeople waiting to get their order corrected.

I don’t like to have McDonald’s to often but sometimes it is convenient and and good enough for a fix. When we do have it however I expect my order to be right. To have 5 items missing from 1 order is unacceptable. We used the drive through tonight get Home to find exactly that. 5 items missing. I called and was advised I could go back and it would be exchanged. Because I was inconvenienced I also asked for a refund as this is not the first time it has happened. The manager Sean/Shaun was incredibly patronising, very rude and wanted to know if I had ever worked there and do I know how tough it is?!!!!!! Really!!!!! To then clap at me from behind the till and start getting cocky really does not wash well. Anyway, after having the food replaced, I checked it at the till and again there was food missing!!! I mean come on guys!!!! It’s not hard. At least make sure you get the replacement order right. To all future customers. Make sure you check your order, check it again and it might be worth checking it the third time to make sure...... very unimpressed.

What can I say its a Maccy D's up to date with its recent generic re-fit, only downer is they need to stop people parking in the only 2 disabled bays, my wife is disabled so need to park there when we bring our grand children, many times we have had to go to the Hadleigh branch as they dont stop prople parking in them.

No estoy seguro de cómo comenzar este pero McDonalds, debe ser consciente. Llegamos a las 11:30 am. Teníamos dos recibos por dos Macs grande para £1. 99 cada uno. El asistente de ventas tomó nuestra orden para tres Macs Grande, entonces nos fuimos. Volvió sobre 30 segundos más tarde preguntando lo que queríamos pedir. Problema de memoria a corto plazo corto creo. Por desgracia, este McDonalds habían dado una renovación hace unos meses. Así que estaba abierto previsto y se puede ver lo que está pasando tras bastidores por así decirlo. Lo que nos fue impactado la manera en que la preparación de los alimentos, se está llevando a cabo. Un poco como una cinta transportadora con la comida bajar una línea y poniendo. Todas las cooperativas estaban usando las manos al descubierto. Uno bofetadas queso en uno con una pistola y un portazo en salsa hamburguesas. Seguida por la quebraderos de cabeza con queso y aún poner en un mano desnuda en el producto. No es muy higiénico. Cuando llegamos nuestra comida, nos llevó de vuelta a nuestro vehículo. Lo que parecía en las cajas sólo puede ser descrito como una. Las hamburguesas estaban fríos, los bollos de pasada. La única cosa que estaba caliente, eran las patatas fritas. Respecto a la cuestión de la higiene. Mcdonald's necesita seriamente abordar el camino se maneja. Comida No importa si usan cremas en las manos. Los gerentes pueden garantizar la seguridad alimentaria?

arrived at mcdonald's at 8pm nobody in the queue in front of me ,still waited nearly 5 minutes to be served, take out order delivered a bit of a wait ,arrived home with 2 happy meals 1 big mac meal and 1 legend meal, first time i have had refried chips in a mcdonald's before and the buns on the burgers not far off being stale ,looking forward to a vanilla milk shake got chocolate instead.i had to much to carry to check everything before i left but should not have to anyway, staff more interested in the people they knew than the customers.wont be visiting canvey mc donald's again in a hurry

Popped through to get daughter something which was fine. Grabbed a smokehouse burger for myself and went home. The smokehouse looked nothing like it does on TV. The bun overlooked, one ring of onion and lettuce that looked more like old nettles. After queuing,My daughters was cooked fresh which we waited for while mine came from the pass. It had sat there for at least ten minutes that I saw. Tasted like it had been there all day. Needless to say it went in the bin and even the bin would've thrown up if it could've. Anyway avoid canvey McDonald's at all costs as it's the worst one I and many others have been to mainly because they employ morons

My wife and I used the drive through here last Saturday, all we wanted was a happy meal for our son, a cheeseburger and 2 flurry's.We ordered, we paid then drove to the collection window.We were then given the happy meal and cheeseburger, the flurry's and cheeseburger, we were then asked to park in bay 1 to wait for a bag of carrot sticks...I looked at the person serving and said "Seriously?? for a bag of carrot sticks??"they then decided they had run out of carrot sticks and so we got fries instead.Its not as if carrot sticks need any preparation anyway they come ready bagged and they should know in the drive through if they have run out or not, being asked to park up and wait for them is just a joke.Overall the food is OK, standard McDonalds food really.

usual tasty food and service you'd expect all year round but every time there's a school holiday it all goes to pot. I used to take my kids for a treat every school holiday to a McDonalds but the one on Canvey is now off limits during the holidays. Twice now we've had a 20 minute wait for food, once in the drive through and once eating in. The queue was out the door and just didn't move. Once inside it was chaos. Kids screaming because they were so bored and hungry from the long wait. Customers arguing with other customers about jumping the queue and the whole time the most loud mouthed woman bellowing orders out the back that could be heard from the door and all through our meal. You just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

A snack after gymnastics for the kiddies, food always fresh and hot, coffee always excellent. Good value for money, for a convenient tummy filler . staff always polite and appear hardworking. Overall the restaurant is clean and tidy. Bathrooms well stocked and clean. Thank goodness it's out of the way enough so it doesn't get ruined by hoards of rowdy teenagers .

I absolutely avoid visiting Mcdonalds in Canvey Island, because the odds of getting an order wrong either takeaway or drive through is extremely high. I made the fatal mistake of not checking a takeaway order last week, and found upon arriving home, that the order was yet again incomplete! I could not even check if I had been charged for the food that was missing, as of course I had not been given my receipt, (another common occurrence). This is all basic, simple procedures to get right and yet time and time again the staff prove incapable. I am all for young people working to gain experience, or as a career, or for extra cash whilst studying, but they have to be properly supervised by experienced, more mature managers, which from what I can see is not the case. Staff are not to blame. I believe it's lack of proper management,as sometimes you feel as if they are left to fend for themselves.

This is a recurring pattern, but the sauces were left off the order. It happens far too regularly, not sure if it’s laziness of staff or corporate sneakiness to save money on providing a minor item that most customers will let slide.
