Mcdonald's Restaurants in Northampton

Compared to McDonald’s in Europe, the service is bad, fries are undercooked and the restaurant overall is dirty; now one is cleaning the benches, chairs nor tables.

The restaurant is Totally useless, never get an order correct wether instore or ordered, poor service and most of the time cold.

Thought to have ‘quick’ meal. Ordered in drive thru. Just ordered 2 burgers said no to meal and added 2 apple pies. Got ‘parked’. Waited 20 minutes and found order wrong received 2 chips instead of apple pies. Was then told order was correct. Was told had to go inside to sort payment order difference to get apple pies. Decided to cancel completely and was told I still had to go inside to do this so went in had to wait for manager. Got no real apology, told her that if screen was working at order point I could have checked that my order was correct only to be told screen should have been working. Manager came across as p***** off rather than apologetic. Was there for half a hour for what should have been quick couple of minutes. Customer service is dreadful considering how expensive the food now is there.

They have the worst customer service I stood waiting for my order to be provided for 40 mins after my call to collect. I had to go over and ask for my order after another 10 mins of waiting and they had not started on it yet. No apologies for the delay just here is your food goodbye.

Was waiting for food and one member was on her phone scratching her hair and putting her fingers in her mouth and proceeded to touch the food it grossed me out I don’t understand how staff can do that.

I have just had a double sausage McMuffin meal and it was completely inedible, it was absolutely dripping in dirty grease and smelt awful! I’m not sure how you can mess up something that has 4 pre-made items in it….

Had to order food from the touch screen and there were issues with it - staff saw us having issues but laughed to one another … and swiftly turned their backs when help was needed … ignorant or what ! Food was great but jeeees … help out your customers you horrible lot ! I guess the attitude is they won’t probably be back because it’s a Motorway Restaurant … and they are correct , we won’t .

Went through the drive thru. Took ages for anyone to speak to me. Only one lane open. Took my order, paid and waiting for food, which was only a small order. I was told to go and park my car and they would bring it out. Waited and waited, other cars are going through. Ended up having to walk to the window to get someone eventually to have blank faces. What order? Eventually got my food... shocking service. This is the second time in 2 weeks I have had problems here. Wont be using it again

Manager was so rude and unhelpful, we had to make a complaint to head office, Totally a load of crap don’t waist your time or money at Weston favell McDonald’s, go to Riverside and pay again we got our money back 4 days later from head office

Consistently inconsistent - Just do not seem able to get an order correct but to add to the scenario they have now employed bad mouthed managers to shout at the customers. i was told "We don't give away free food here" and could seem to grasp that my order was incorrect and i was requesting the missing items.

Regularly use this restaurant as it so close by, however also have to regularly go back as orders are wrong. Management can be very rude when recieving yet another complaint. They don't seem to take the complaints seriously and I have experienced many angry customers whilst visiting the restaurant. If possible go Burger king over the road at Weston Favel Centre

The food was horrific! Probably the worst McDonald's experience ever. We placed our order waited ten minutes for the food which was fine but then I was told that they didn't have something in stock I had already ordered and paid for and proceeded to hand me my food they didn't offer me and alternative to the item I'd paid for until i told them I either wanted a refund or something back for the same price. Happily they did give me an alternative. I ordered a milkshake and as per usual the machine 'didn't work'. We took the food home and the 20 nuggets were awful. They were as dry as anything and to be honest they should have been freshly cooked as we arrived just after breakfast time but it was like sticking a rock in my mouth! It was asif they'd reheated the nuggets left from the day before. They tasted awful. The cokes were flat and the triples cheese burgers we ordered and paid for were single cheese burgers. Will avoid this McDonald's.

Bought a meal via Uber for me and my partner. The chicken legend I ordered looked like it had been thrown around the floor, it was so tough I couldn’t even bite through it was like hard rubber, contacted them twice but they refused to refund. Not only did I go without my meal but also went without any customer service. The error was with them not me so why not refund. Will never 👎 use this restaurant again, I’ve always felt the food isn’t up to the standard of Riverside, always feel like the presentation is shabby and doesn’t feel clean, it’s like eat at your own risk!

They literally never get a drive thru order correct at this branch. Its actually become a family joke because we've never had a complete order. Truly terrible.

As the title suggests, I've never had a correct order from this store. Today's missing items were all the dips. No point complaining as the staff don't care and the manager is rude and dismissive.

They rob customers on orders. As you do a larger order is always missing something, as you call with a complaint it does not recognize it. The lady I spoke to was very unpleasant. In general, people who work there for the most part should go back to school and learn to read and count. I do not recommend

We ordered for delivery for a family of 8. My sons 6th birthday. 3 meals where missed. 2 happy meals 1 for the birthday boy and my order. and this dump told us it's uber eats fault and we need to call them. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression the delivery driver doesn't pack the bags. Unprofessional shower of s!#t. User eats didn't make the mistake by the way.

I have ordered twice this week for my family as we are in isolation, both occasions we have had missing items once arrived including happy meals straws, sauces and meals, I called the restaurant to be told by a manager were sorry all we can do is give u the items if you drive up! Or offer you a free meal in store, absolutely ridiculous he then went on to say we need to go through uber, but as I told him it was his staff that package the food! So its McDonalds mistake again! Do not order from weston favell McDonalds.

Dreadful service from click n collect 20 min wait in car park got home with food items missing from order shocking service no comeback for them

I have now visited this McDonalds three times and on every occasion they have either left something out or supplied the wrong item.Tonight I asked for something without cheese and when opened at home it was clear that rather than make a fresh one they just ripped the cheese off an old one leaving it still on around the edge!!I love McDonalds but this one is really terrible.

Ordered Breakfast Bap, Lady at first window confirmed order but when I got to work they had supplied bacon bap.

I do not like the cheese. I always request my burger or breakfast without cheese. Always receive the meal with cheese. On the app, in person, it makes no difference. End up scrapping rubber cheese off or just not eating the food.

I’ve ordered from here via uber eats and 90% of the time they forget something.. it’s very annoying as there’s no actual easy way to get our food/money back with Uber Eats. It’s not Uber Eats fault but MacDonalds as they pack the food and whatever system they have is obviously failing.

McDonald's 1.45am weston favell spoken to manager about sick in the corridor to toilet did not want to know said I will leave it to staff in the morning. Should of done more. Said he will sue me If I post this. Lol.

First of all, we all ordered food and sat down with it while are friends were receiving table service. During our meal we got told we had to leave because it was busy, which is understandable but the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. The security guard told us we had to leave and when we mentioned we were still waiting for our friends food he said we have to leave now. There is a reason why it’s called eat in, absolutely disgusting.

Slow Poor service Rude Management should either retrain them or just sack the staff and employ monkeys as a trained monkey could do a better job food is poor compared to other stores do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to eat

Run like a circus by clowns. Takes 15+ minutes to get a standard 1/4 pounder when its not busy! Thats not an exageration. Im not going to use it again, my advice go to riverside 2 minutes down the road.

Fined £50 for staying at this medicore McDonalds for more than 90 minutes. Thats not the first time. Visiting McD's is becoming unpleasant....never again.

Large fries... more like small fries. I am a proud vegan and when I get my spuds I require a full box is this too much to ask. I received less than an adequate amount of fries. I didn’t even get a blasted ketchup the outrage in my soul is overwhelmingly powerful. I can here by say I will not be returning to this “establishment” anytime soon. I didn’t even get offered a meal no drink. Do the expect me to to absorb moisture from the air. The service really was meh.

There are lots of staff on duty here so service is very quick. You pre select on the computer and then wait for your meal to be prepared. It is very handy with a Tesco petrol station nearby and other shops so if you fancy a snack this is a good place to stop.

Been through the drivethru a few times over the years and they can never seem to get the food quite right. Sauce when we've asked for no sauce, one beef burger when ordering a double burger, the wring flavor milkshake etc.. check your order before driving away.

After ordering sat there for nearly 30mins waiting for food that was cold full of grease that I would not serve to an animal. When you try to complain to management they wave you away and do nothing, all they are interested in is getting your money. The most aeigant management team I have every experanced. Will not be using that restaurant again.

You normally know what you're getting with McD's but this one is always running late with orders and quite often appears out of control.

It was REALLY slow service, we almost walked out with things missing had we not have had the policy of checking before we leave. If McDonald's would like me to re review this then they need to address the problems and them I will consider reviewing again.

Not only is this the slowest McDonald’s I have ever visited but they forgot to give us one of our drinks (we had takeaway), forgot the chicken in my kids chicken wrap and the food was stone cold (2 min drive home) except the McFlurrys which had melted. Would avoid this place like the plague!!!!

Horrible place ,always dirty, why do I go there ,never have all the things you ask for , milkshake machine not working, food cold , tables not been cleared or some other problem.. I don't know why its called fast food its never fast.

Only gave two stars because the food was edible and hot and cleanliness was not a problem - otherwise the place seriously needs examining. On entering there were a number of people (including some staff) smoking right outside the entrance and smoke could clearly be smelled inside. The food was, as already stated, edible and came quickly. However the mistakes were piling up - first no straws for the drinks, one of the drinks having been omitted completely, no spoons for the ice cream, and lettuce on the chicken sandwich despite us requesting no lettuce and it actually said so on the box! But worst of all - and I accept mistakes are made and will always be - not an apology when the errors were pointed out, not a please nor a thank you was ever heard - and this from three different members of staff, so it wasn't just one bored individual or someone having a bad day, the duty manager was the one who didn't apologise when the error was pointed out.

all we asked for in the drive in was a hamburger and fries and a spicy burger and 2 lge fries.driving away decided to check and found they hadn't put any fries in.had to drive all the way back by the time I got home both burgers were stone cold.would we go back.........never

I used this place religiously twice a day for 4 years. Getting a coffee in the morning on my way to work and on way home . I’d also get coffees across the UK in other McDonald’s daily. On this particular day I sat in and had a business meeting with a customer which overran the 90 minutes allowed parking fine. I got a £100 fine or £50 if I paid quickly. I called the manager and asked as a loyal customer would she mind helping me out on this occasion and get the company to remove the fine and she said just write to them with your receipt and they’ll sort it. So I did. 2 weeks later I get a letter saying it was refused so had to pay the £50. So based on McDonald’s doing nothing to help a loyal customer I have boycotted their business. In the 8 weeks I’ve not spent there I’ve actually saved over £100 on coffees so they’ve done me a backhanded favour. I’ve worked out that in 4 years I’ve spent over £5k in McDonald’s. I know they don’t need my money but I’m sure if you ask anyone in business what they’d rather have I’m sure they’ll all go for the £5k...

Milkshake machine NEVER working, no matter what time of day. I went three days in a row just to test that and still none. Worst McDonald's in Northampton, riverside much better.

Went to boost at riverside and my friend and I thought we would take our 5 year old boys to McDonald’s afterwards as the riverside restaurant is closed due to refurbishment we had to go to Weston Favell, urgh, never again the place was absolutely filthy, we found a table that was clear of rubbish but looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days, I had to wipe it with wet wipes, the wall was covered in mud/dog poo and the window sill was covered in dead flies, and don’t even get me started on the toilets, stunk of wee, dirty, and full of dirty nappies...you need to wipe your feet on the way out of here...AND the people ...never ever will I visit here, sort it out McDonald’s it’s gross

Generally I think McDonalds is pretty good at what it does. But Weston Favell on a Tuesday afternoon was dire - the drive-thru backed out of the car park and inside the restaurant the service was so slow it was ridiculous. The crowd of people waiting for their number to come up to collect their food just grew and grew. When our number finally came up, we still had a five minute wait at the counter for the drinks to be sorted as our food got cold. My grandson's Happy Meal was completely cold by the time we sat down. Really low-grade service. And whoever decided that the new straws are any good for milkshakes needs their head examined - the paper/cardboard crumbled and I had to spoon the drink out.

Waiting now for nearly 20 minutes in the drive thru...still not got as far as paying. Fast food, i think not

Visited several times and each time thought cant get any worse. Staff are poorly trained especially on allergens not just that they are missrrable and undestaffed and managers just dont care. Id suggest burger king accross the road

This is a review for the drive through.The past three times after we arrived back home with our meals, we realised something was missing. Last time it was a burger, then fries... So we've started to check everything in the bag before we leave. And...

Two adults and a grandson, we were looking for a quick eat in but the place was crowded. I tried the automated service and it was so efficient.

If your visiting this Mcdonalds avoid the time the kids come out from school, as this place they swarm to, there is a drive through, which gets really busy in the mornings, have only eaten here once with the grandchildren, it's mcdonalds, it's all the same, just depends on the child serving you on the day, whether they can be bothered to smile or not at you.......

Pensé en ir aquí para un café y un bocado rápido. Buen restaurante y café excelente. Sin embargo, el día que fuimos parecía que había una gran cantidad de tráfico. Este MC está situado al lado de un gran centro comercial y su garaje. Quizás no es un buen lugar para visitar si tienes prisa.

They are all the same..the drive through at Weston favell..is very busy. To be honest the last time we were there..the chips were soggy..the burger was overcooked as was the fillet of fish..couldn't even find the fish..fried out of all existence. Awful

The McDonald's at the weston favell centre has a drive through there is also a play area for the kids my favourite is always the breakfast menu the staff are friendly and welcoming i do recommend the bacon roll meal

Popped in for 2 coffees. Oh they were doing the milk. Wait..... wait..... so we asked.... and waited. Requested refund as we were on a time schedule....only the manager could do it, so we waited.... you get the idea. No coffee, got. Refund. Poor service.

Appaling customer service, chips like rock, way too much salt on my 5 year olds happy meal Chips! To top it off, we all had a mcflurry and all suffering sickness. Steer clear of this particular mcdonalds and venture to riverside where the service is outstanding

It was extremely busy being a Saturday but the service and food was good. Our hotel failed to serve breakfast so we came here instead.

Where to start.... Drive thru - Always check your order when you receive it before you drive off as it's almost always wrong. Toilets are disgraceful and rarely checked or maintained. Staff are miserable and on occasion rude.

came here for lunch yesterday and decided to have a salad instead of chips only problem was had to eat my salad with fingers as nothing to eat it with could if you advertise salad at least give something to eat it with

I have not had a mc donalds for ages but as i was driving passed today I decided to stop by and get a chicken sandwich with a medium fries.When I got home I thought i had been given the wrong burger. Roll small with chicken sticking out, open the top of the roll, No crispy lettuce, just a few tiny pieces of black green limp lettuce with a small drop of mayo, maybe the fries would be better, oh no hot but anemic and hard.will not go again. ouch

Self service order tills speed up process , they offer different languages, so ideal for most travelers. Good choice of food from McDonalds menu. Nice they do a children chicken was happy meal now.Clean facilities, helpful staff.Free wifi

My daughter and I stopped here for an ice cream and a hot chocolate. We used the self service touch screen things to order our food and it arrived quickly. We easily found a clean table and the restaurant was clean and tidy... BUT.... We saw a member of staff walking across the service/tills area with their hands down their trousers....eewwwww! Just not nice!! Disappointing to see.

I ordered a iced caramel latte & filet o fish at drive through and it was not until I got to window 3 they said oh the machine isn't working for the iced lattes , this seems often here as when I visit with my children for a milkshake that machine is never working either! , my filet o fish had half a slice of cheese in and was cold even though I was 'parked'

The service is disgusting and the food is even worse. Today i went in for some lunch as i was walking by. The wait to order was ridiculous due to staff either having a gossip or wondering around. The food came out cold and under cooked so i sent it back for fresh food. The chips were like card board and the burger was extremely dry. The table was dirty, then the staff were moody and rude when i asked for it to be wiped. I will not be visiting again anytime soon

The staff were very rude and their customer service was appaling, when I didn't get my correct order the staff snapped and insisted that I was the one in the wrong. Another customer in front of me asked for a coke without ice and the staff member put ice in the drink, when the customer said the staff member snatched the drink from his hand.

I never receive a complete order I always have something missing and the last visit I had over half of my order missing I wont be using this restaurant again but if you use this restaurant I recommend you double check all your order prior to leaving the drive-thru.

I rarely go to Mcdonalds but i was pleasently suprised by this one. Staff were quick and cheerful. Food was hot and order was correct. Lots of choice. Maybe too much. It is clean and colourful. Would be nice to have a TV. I was is missing a good rugby match. Free WiFi is awesome. Better than KFC and burger king who need to cook their burgers a lot longer. I'll be back.

My son loves the play bit, I think it's small and crap to be honest. But he enjoys himself. And the food... Well McDonald's all taste the same lol. Love a cheeky double cheese

I went here today with my 4 year old and got ignored by 3 members of staff, who decided they serve people behind me first. disgraceful

We only went in to get drinks as it was late at night and we were driving home. Stood there for ages with one person in front of us, the manager shouted at his staff "Is anyone serving the customers?" The staff continued to mess around giggling and laughing and the poor man in front was kept waiting. We had enough and walked out after nearly four minutes of watching them not making any move to serve customers. On driving out of the car park, there were six cars in the drive through sat there waiting and they obviously were not being served either!The funny thing is, why didn't the manager serve the customers either instead of just shouting for someone to serve?

The wait with one vehicle in front was 10 minutes approximately. We waited so long we turned the car engine off. To add insult in use to find that the food was only Luke warm we ate it. One Big Mac and one 99p burger had been waiting in the bag whilst the car in front had there food cooked! No receipt was provided in the bag when I checked for one to make this complaint. No apology for the wait. And had to ask for napkins! I could have cooked the burgers myself in the time I waited. Totally unacceptable experience. And I cannot even complain on their web site it won't process the complaint!

I cannt believe there is anybody that needs to read a review about McDonalds before deciding to visit. When Im hungry, cupboards are empty its easy to buy a burger - you know what you are getting so no complaints. I do find the choice of foods mighty confusing these days - it was a lot easier when it was a 1/4 Pounder, Hamburger or Big Mac.

Convenient - it is what these places do well. This one is well placed next to a large busy shopping mall, petrol station and just off a major road. Stands out to passers by and shoppers, motorists stop area etc. 24hrs opening to mesh in with the 24hrs opening at nearby supermarket. Fast drive through section and large sit down area, very clean and plenty of space inside and outside when the weather is good enough. Food is typical McDonalds of course but fast and efficient service and reliable quality draws you in when time is short and you want a quick bite. They are working at making the menu healthier with less cholesterol etc. Its the marmite factor, love it or hate it! For me convenient makes the difference.
