I have been here a few times over recent years as am local and this is the worst McDonalds for service and quality I have been to, with the exception of Coventry Road Bordesley in Birmingham which is appalling. Called in for breakfast after a 5 hour journey and despite it being 24hrs, restaurant was closed. Only drive through open which was cash only, so most people drove off. I had McMuffin meal - old and dried up McMuffin, tough and unpleasant, hash brown was leathery and tasted of old burnt sunflower oil. Coffee was good. Won’t go back as this was last chance.

We've had so many deliveries from here in the past with missing or incorrect items that we'd given up. Today we thought we'd take a risk and try again. Keeping our expectations low was wise. This time the Chicken Selects we ordered were replaced by the much cheaper and less tasty Chicken Nuggets. There was also a dip missing. It doesn't sound like a big deal and I suppose in isolation it's an easy mistake to make but this happens every time we order. We've even tried going in person so we can physically check what's in the bag before we leave. The last time we did that we had someone else's drinks and a whole meal missing. I honestly don't know how they can be so consistently bad at getting a tiny detail like giving people what they order wrong.

Whilst waiting for my order, one of the kitchen staff was having some kind of tantrum and throwing empty boxes across the kitchen, while one of her colleagues was doubled up laughing. Then the same woman served my fries with two of her fingers unhygienically inserted into the box. I couldn't resist asking whether it was normal for staff to throw things across the kitchen and she looked at me with utter disgust, much to the amusement of her colleague. And to add insult to injury, she replied, "Yeah, that's normal." Suffice to say I won't be going back.

I’ve used this restaurant many times over probably about twenty years and although the food is a reasonable MacDonalds quality, the drive through service has deteriorated significantly in the past year One time I was ignored at the ordering point for over ten minutes, while cars were drinking to the other speaker and being served Another time I order chicken nuggets with curry sauce, was given the bag and as Just about to drive off when I thought I’d check - so looked in, no sauce at all. Asked the crew member on the window if I could have my sauces and she replied they hadn’t give me them as they’d got no curry. had it mentioned it to me, or offered an alternative - just expected me to drive off and eat dry nuggets Poor customer service - so food ok, but check before you leave

I ordered a fruit bag with my meal. They put a carrot bag in. When I questioned why they had done this they told me they’d ran out of fruit bags …: ermmmm how about you tell me then rather than whack a bag of carrots in the bag instead! Anyway, when I told them I didn’t want carrots, they miraculously pulled out a fruit bag. No apology. No explanation. Don’t bother coming here. Rude staff. Poor service. This is your typical burger joint. I’ve dined in a few times, but often use their drive thru feature which means you don’t even have to exit your vehicle to get your food. If it wasn’t for that, I’d probably deduct another star. The most disappointing thing about this restaurant, despite the name is, that they offer no traditional Scottish dishes. Hopefully this is something they decide to in the future.

So I've just finished an 18 hour nursing shift, knackered, I wish now I'd of stopped to get food elsewhere, ordered a big mac meal, mcflurry and juice, omg, the mcflurry was warmer than the food, I'm disgusted, complained on the app and was told a refund wont be issued, this is the worst service and food I've ever had, I'm gutted as I even tipped the delivery guy!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried using the drive-through twice. On the first occasion, the server had a go at me, falsely accusing me of addressing her as 'Luv' on the ordering mike (a word I've never used in my life). And on the second occasion, I tried to order a McDonald's breakfast and was met with the response, "I don't know what you're going on about, mate." British customer service in a nutshell, I reckon.

Some time ago I had my first Big Tasty and can honestly say I thought it was the best burger they did. I have just tried my second big tasty and it was nothing like how I remembered. McDonald's describe a freshly toasted bun,mine hadn't been anywhere near a toaster or even anything vaguely warm as it was borderline fridge cold,(less than a minute after being served) I had to open the burger to attempt to rearrange it, the sauce was only on one edge and mainly in the box, I had to remove and bin a thumb sized chunk of solid lettuce clearly from the base of a lettuce that had snuck in and been served by whichever burger flipper was having a bad day and couldn't care less. This branch has always been dismal (poor management,who knows,who cares) The only blessing was I received my complete order,which from here is a minor miracle in itself only feeling less of an achievement for them as I had one item. Save your money and go elsewhere

Came through with a friend to get a quick bite and ordered a cheeseburger with no meat (yea it’s silly) as they had no vegetarian options available. Which is silly since many people are vegetarians this day and age (David Attenborough recommendeds this) and even though it said no meat as we parked up to eat, there was a big old dead cow in my burger. Went back through to sort this matter out and nobody apologised, just gave us attitude regarding the burger. Then made us wait ten minutes for a god damn plain bun and we asked for some chips for this inconvenience and they denied us this request. Also went to grab a ‘crew trainer’ even though we didn’t ask to speak to management and a crew trainer is a glorified staff member anyway, then gave us a sarcastic apology as we complained that nobody was apologetic and then proceeded to slam the window in our face and offer us no recompense. Will not be visiting again, from very two disgruntled animal lovers.

(Drive thru) Ordered a sausage and egg mcmuffin and specified a soft egg, or if they couldn't do that no egg at all. The guy on the ordering point checked and double checked this with me, but I could already tell by the speed that the food was served that they had just used whatever they had ready - sure enough, the egg was not only cooked through but overcooked and woolly- I would honestly have preferred no egg at all as I said and it made me gag. I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend's bacon roll bun was seriously stale - we tapped it on the dashboard and a chunk chipped off. Fast food shouldn't mean poor quality food, and as someone that works on minimum wage in a catering job I would be ashamed to serve such rubbish or disregard my customer's requests. No excuse for this -up your game!!

Took the kids for a quick drive through but when we got home, found that my burger was not included. I had received the fries and drink from my meal, but not the quarter pounder with cheese that had been ordered and paid for. It's too far to go back so I've been trying to call the restaurant to at least get a refund on the missing burger, however nobody is picking up. I've tried four times and it rings and rings and rings until eventually it cuts out. I realise that mistakes can happen but I'm not happy about being ignored.

Chips were outdated and cold, you know how they taste after 2 hours of being fried. Hamburger was warm. And the place wasn’t at all busy, so no need to keep so much food pre-prepared. Also, my order was not correct. I asked for a mini McFlurry Aero (chocolate Aero was old also), and was charged and given a full size one.Will rather go to another McDonald’s next time. Staff here don’t seem to do their job well.

We decided to go here as we were driving past. We decided to through the 'drive thru' as the car park looked quite busy and we had to be somewhere. There were a number of cars in front of us which did take about 5+ mins to get to the machine and there were two lanes to go into to order. Went McDonald’s MONKSPATH today and mentioned that a Filet o Fish was missing from my order last week , discovered only when we got home. Tahmeena the “Manager” asked if I phoned up on the day to which the answer was no. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. Today I made a point of checking my order at the counter in front of Tahmeena. There was a cheeseburger missing. She rummaged around and came up with a child’s one. I’d paid for an adult one.... Anyway, next I checked my sons banana Milkshake...it was flavourless...so back I went and complained and the lady put flavour in. LESSON HERE, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER!!!! I don't often visit McDonalds but I thought McDonalds in Monks Path was welcoming and I enjoyed having a meal with my son. The play equipment provided for children was well thought out & my son enjoyed it. He wanted to wait for the day menu, so we waited a bit longer as it was quiet and there was apparently no rush.

I visited today around 1340 and went to order to eat in, my hubby and son went to find a table whilst I ordered and waited to collect. It was busy so hubby did struggle to find a table at first, but one cleared and as he got to table realised previous occupants had left tray with their used rubbish. He saw a lad cleaning tables and as he approached the table my hubby asked if he could clear the table for him, he said “ you have to clear your own tables “ my hubby said that it wasn’t his rubbish but also the table needed wiping, the lad said well when you remove the rubbish we will wipe table for next client. He than walked off and stood talking to another female table clearer for about 20 mins, he did go off and start clearing tables and the lady came and removed the tray. His attitude is disgraceful and there were tables left dirty for some time whilst he enjoyed a long chat.

If I could give this a zero rating then I would. The staff are clueless and rude. The foods always either cold, burnt or dry because it's been there too long. There is an Asian lady that works there that can not do her job. She is lazy, rude and quite frankly not fit for customer service. Will not be going here again. And instead will be travelling for 30 minutes to the nearest 24 hour one.

So we ask the 'customer service' lady excitedly what the new interactive tables in the kids section is, and we got the answer 'it's really nothing' and she looks away. Absolutely disgusted by her attitude. Boxing Day evening, black 'lady'. I would sack this person and the person who's supposed to have trained her. Cold Big Mac and a panicking young girl on the till. What a joke of a McDonald's, I will never return.

I go to mcdonalds for fast food. It was never supposed to be waitress service! Long wait to order on stupid touch screens. 10 min wait for food. Lovely kids' area now gone. Bloody tablets for kids whilst eating. How antisocial is that! Really disappointed. Will rarely go now. Why change it you idiots! Check facebook. Only negative comments.

Been here for breakfast the past 2 days and then also lunch yesterday not very busy but every time I went through the drive through I was told to park on the car park and wait for my food. Today breakfast I asked for a bacon and egg snack wrap £1.29 and was given a bacon and egg muffin £1.99 checked my receipt to find out I had been charged £1.99 its not busy so I do not understand why you have to wait for food every time! Also when the food Came to the car I started to eat it a member of staff came out the main entrance lighting up a cigerette and sat on a table in the family area until she had finished smoking it. It's just awful

I was surprised to read the bad reviews. This McDonald's is impeccably tidy, my grilled chicken salad was perfect and the staff perfectly well presented and very polite. Compared to McDonalds Bristol Road Birmingham who only employ people with a direct relation to Tupac, this McDonalds was like on a Royal Family level. Will return again soon, oh it has a little kids facility outside that's ace.

Went through the drive thru today on our way home to Manchester after visiting family. No ice in the drinks, no sauce on the cheese burgers and no fries with the meals. We were already on the M42 by the time we realised! Shocking. Surely it's not that difficult? Wasn't worth the effort to turn round to go back and complain. Won't be going there again. Lazy, half hearted service.

I have eaten in many restaurants in my time but this has to be one of the best. This complex flavour of the buffalo chicken burger are something truly special. Marco pier white would have been proud of it.Moving on to the chips I was lucky enough to see that all the salt that had been missing from my last visits had been saved for this one portion. What a treat.Our table was booked for 12:00pm and we were seated as soon as we arrived. I was amazed at the how quick our meal was brought to us. I'm not sure I like the cheese flavoured slice on my burger as I prefer the texture of cheese not plastic.Pudding was a dream, We didn't want to leave as We was having such a great time. But I didn't fancy the £90 fine so we left in a 2.0 litre Quattro. Don't worry about it.Would recommend this venue for birthdays and weddings as long as your occasion will be less than 90 minutes long.

Working round the corner it seems a quick and easy fix for lunch. Can get busy at times especially during school holidays but the staff get through the queues pretty quick. Seating can be an easy during these busy periods as well. Food tends to be fresh and not really had any issues during our weekly visits. You can tell staff are bored during quiet periods which doesn't look too good when they are standing around talking - maybe they could help out the drive-thru staff as there are always huge queues.

Arrived for a breakfast meeting, restaurant was cold, doors not working so a constant cold draught, coffee was ok but food quality poor and staff could not be bothered. A few days later found out I stayed longer than 90 minutes so have to pay a fine !!!Needless to say it will be goodbye to McDonalds for any future meetings ..don't bother with this one or in my opinion any other.

Hi All, please make sure you don't over stay the parking allocation at Monkspath McDonalds. My parents took my children in the holidays, had a long wait for food and then as they were leaving some of my children's friends arrived so they all stayed and purchased more drinks and ice creams. Unfortunately this resulted in an overstay of 15 minutes and a £100 fine. McDonalds think this is reasonable and acknowledge genuine customers are getting caught up in the crossfire of people using their car park and not using the restaurant. But are not prepared to do anything about it. This has really upset my parents and I don't want anyone else to make this mistake.

What can you say about a McDonalds restaurant! This was like most other McDonalds. The food was ok, although not very hot. The restaurant was very clean as were the toilet facilities. The staff were polite but not particularly friendly and a little impatient when we were trying to understand the menu. Good location but nothing special. We would probably not go out of our way to visit again.

Went for a breakfast & apparently they "don't do a standard breakfast anymore"!!!!The lady was far from apologetic instead she spent her time trying to sell me a bacon roll I didn't want!I thought customer service was all about listening to the customer!THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN HILL RAPIDLY OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS. I will be travelling 30 mins now to get a decent breakfast.All staff need training - absolutely terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You've been warned

My order has been messed up the past few times I've been here, it's the only Mcdonalds near to me so a real shame service is so bad, always seems to be busy though with families particularly when the sun's out. Avoid on friday and Saturday evenings though, lots of chavs usually present, some in cars playing loud music and some outside in big groups can be intimidating.

We (the family) went for a quick and hassle free lunch when we couldn't all agree on any other option. In an effort to be healthy we opted for wraps and salad, this seemed to totally bemuse our server and he got every order wrong - this resulted in us having to wait ages for the food and consult the manager to rectify the errors. The gentleman who was served before us also had major issues with his order and returned twice to notify the manager of the errors. Absolute shambles! McDonalds need to sort out this franchisee (Wright restaurants) because they are poor!

On numerous occasions they have left out part of our orders while going through drive through. Is there anything more annoying? There is a massive bump in the road 10 feet after you receive your food, so watch your drinks - its very easy to spill. The parking is limited. It does have a nice outdoor play area and the inside of the restaurant seems to be kept clean. Food is the same as any other Mcdonalds.

Used the DriveThru as I have done many times. Lid not properly on coffee cup - result coffee all over my hand & car!!! Quite painful as it was hot black coffee. Up to then could easily have been dealt with but I then had the misfortune to be dealing with a Shift Manager who thought it was humorous. Although why he would find an elderly lady in pain funny is beyond me. Customer service skills were very poor. I was treated as if I was making it up when he could see my car was covered with coffee. He told me that my hand would be OK. Where he got his medical qualifications from I don't know. I have all the info to make a complaint but perhaps I'd be better just going to a different McDonalds. This one seems to be past bothering with. An hour later my hand us still sore. And it's going to cost me approx £20.00 to get my car valeted. Expensive breakfast.

Had the misfortune to meet a colleague here for breakfast. To say it was freezing is a massive understatement - impossible to take off a coat and be comfortable and when the staff were asked to do something about the sub-zero temperature their response was to say they'd try but it wouldn't make any difference as the back doors were wide open. The whole experience was made even worse by the porridge which was congealed into the bottom of the tub - even gravity didn't shift it when it was turned upside down. To be frank - I wouldn't bother - go to the Costa up the road.

This is a nice spacious restaurant, clean and when not busy get served quickly.I visited very early just after 6,00am and only a few people in the place.Food and drink up to the usual standards.Toilet............what can I say but absolutely disgusting and you wonder when it was last cleaned because you could not use it. Why did no one check?

We have had the misfortune to visit here on numerous occasions. Without fail they manage to get either an order wrong, tell us they have run out of an item, or just bumble around like it's their first day. We placed an order for three sausage and pancake meals on Saturday morning, it wasn't particularly busy, and were waiting for around 7 or 8 minutes, only then to be told they only had enough pancakes for two meals. On another occasion we took the food home to find two thirds of the order was incorrect. Was told on that occasion that there was a 15 minute delay on coffee as they had received a "large order of 9 coffees". Ridiculous. Honestly, there doesn't appear to be any sort of organisation, and we usually end up telling the staff what to put in the bag. The only training the staff seem to receive is how to placate customers that are forced to wait a ridiculous amount of time for their 'fast food', oh, and also to ask stupid questions such as "would you like a cup holder?" No, I'll balance the four drinks I've ordered on my head on the way to the car... Complained via the McDonald's website a couple of months ago about the poor service we received and they sent vouchers as a token gesture and said they would be in contact with the restaurant to improve. The irony is that when we visited a couple of months later and used our vouchers, they messed up the order again!The worst McDonald's we have ever visited.

Beware that if you stay at this location for more than 90 minutes in your car you will receive a £100 parking fine, as they collect your data using number plate recognition systems.I wouldn't mind if they said when they serve you but they don't.Instead it is just "Would you like onion rings, or go large on your meal."I got caught as I was going though a traumatic time and could not leave due to asthma attacks.I appealed and Mcdonalds said that they can't intervene it is down to MET Parking Services. Thank you for support McDonalds.Anyway, I appealed and MET Parking stated that they can't take into account personal circumstances. How crazy is that, they want people to drive if they have asthma attacks, chest pains or heaven forbid give birth on their car park.I have tried communicating with McDonalds and have emailed their CEO Jill McDonald. I had a first reply from her asking for another person to investigate and then it stopped.Please abandon this fast food take away for the sake of your health and wallett.

My 68 year old pensioner wife received a £100 by post after eating here with our children and grandchildren. This was for taking more than 90 mins The delay caused because venue busy and food had to be changed (2 burgers not cooked enough, 4 coffee's undrinkable) all was changed by courteous young staff!This McDonald's was a favourite of my children and there friends also with children who live in Solihull area. But Never again at £135 for 6! 'Express food now has different meaning!'They also intend to use twitter and face-book with all of their friends and acquaintances to warn people with young children.This McD's is situated in its own car park area, that you would only use to go to McDonald's.Ps McDonald's have now closed their web contact to complain! Because of this new MET policy.

No bad reviews for this maccys although whoever built the drive through did it for tiny cars. Trying to get a medium sized van around the bend is a pain. Nice food though, friendly staff and a clean seating area which is all we want.

I gave this a 5 star rating cause this is one of the best kfc I have had. I been going to this one a while and the staff are always friendly. Also every time I have this kfc it always hot which is rare and the chicken is always fresh and crispy and juicy and also you always get a mixture when you order a bucket which is nice.

I'm never eating here again. I ate there for the 3rd time in the last couple of years yesterday. As with every other time I've spent today on the toilet. My gut would be in better shape if I'd bought food from a street vendor in Bangladesh. Clearly either the prep or the hygiene here is well below par. I've learnt my lesson. Never. EVER again. And I urge everyone else to to the same.
