Rude server , asked if they could do me a fresh cod , clearly too much trouble member of staff started to mumble as I left. Instead of saying of course we can do you a fresh one, although these came out 7 mins ago would you like one of these

Ordered fish which was hard and rubbery and overpriced, chios were full of bad bits and small, mushy peas were tastless and again small, disgusting, my first and last visit.

Always good food and service at Gregories fish and chip shop. A large choice of food with a lot of meal deals.

Absolutely awful kebab chicken was hard no taste at all kebab meat looked says old would not recommend awful food

Twice now my order has been missing items. Food is usually OK but don't always get everything that was ordered

Ordered some fish and chips, twice and spring roll and chips. Had not been for a while as previously last visited 12 months ago, before as their quality was poor. However I thought things may have changed and improved. Got them home and as soon as we all tucked into them the chips went to mush. Really disappointed as I was hoping they would have improved. I think I will wait for another 2 years to visit. The other chip shops seem to be better, a shame as they are on my door step.

A bit old school but great portion size for the money, my chippy of choice in the local area. Would highly recommend their Fish and Doner options

Only part of the order arrived! Drivers didn't want to know. Both claimed they couldn't speak English. I phoned the shop and they didn't want to know either. Jokers

I ordered online today and the chip shop is only ten mins from my house I order a pie and a regular chips When the order came the pie was dumped squashed on top of the chips greasy and cold food, I wasn’t happy as I ordered them separately as I have a food allergy! I called the shop and said I wasn’t happy and I wanted the food separate and re delivered to my house, the women stated that I had to come out to collect the order from the shop which I was not happy about as I have a newborn baby and had already paid for delivery prior!!! Never again would not recommend

10 years I have been a regular customer with my family excellent service quality food I would always buy 9 nuggets for my 3 dogs. The girls were friendly and good at their jobs they remembered their regulars. In the last 6 months they have gone and the new women are useless, poor service can’t get orders right. 6pm on a Saturday night people waiting out the door because over ten years in business didn’t tel them that they would need plenty food. So I waited 15min while the 2 servers stood around waiting for food to be cooked because it didn’t occur to them to ask the next customer who may have been waiting for sausages that they had 12 ready. I quote “can I have 1 small cod with small chips and I large cod with large chips, the old woman with the glasses said £3.50? I said what my husband said 3 words no regular please. I took the food paid by card £14 for 2 cod 2 chips which used to be £11 inc curry sauce. I walked outside and noticed the card receipt said 2 large cod. I went back in and told her. The women from the back who had not served me nor been anywhere near the counter shouted “your husband ordered the wrong thing” we argued in front of 12 waiting customers she refunded the difference with cash and changed my food to small cod. She refused to give me either my card receipt or a new receipt. I have a law degree and 20 years in retail management and the law is clear to prevent fraud you refund card to card cash to cash. In future I will drive to Castle Bromwich and buy there

Went there today when I got home food was old the chip shop should not be allowed to stay open I will never go there again

Been coming here for 5 years I had been very ill and went in the girl looked and said you look a lot better now nice to have strangers being pleasant never had a problem with the food good portion sizes nice cod no bones or black fish always cooked best fish shop in the area I have tried 2 others

Do not I repeat do not use this chip shop the staff are rude and obnoxious.ordered a order online when delivered the food was cold and soaked in grease.This is the worst chip shop in the area..

We pop in once a week for chips to save faffing at home, sometimes they’re great and other times they’re not. We never order fish as it doesn’t taste like cod and the batter isn’t very nice. Guarantee every time we pop in they’re cooking chips, they never seem to have any ready or they serve 5 people and run out

I now travel to the next chip shop as this one has gone down hill. They sell Pollack as cod and there prices are ridiculous

Ordered food for myself and family as they do gluten free on a Sunday and Monday, got home and they had got it wrong and pop was missing so phoned up and the man said come back and I'll do you fresh food. So went the second time, got home and guess what order is wrong again. I wouldn't usually moan just get on and eat the food but with allergies I can't touch it. Waste of money and time had to order from somewhere else. Now 9pm and I'm one hungry pregnant lady! Not happy

Been coming here for years on the way back from work, equal love for their Fish and Chips and Meat and Chips. Portions and prices are good.

A pesar de vivir frente a una tienda de chips, estoy feliz de viajar cinco millas para conseguir mi pescado y papas fritas en Gregory's. Los precios son muy buenos. Una porción pequeña es lo suficientemente grande, y una porción grande es adecuada para dos. Mi amigo ama el pollo. El personal es amable.Leí un comentario que dice que la comida es grasosa. Solo tuve este problema una vez porque mi orden vino directamente de la cocina, pero cuando llegué a casa, el aceite se había drenado en el papel. Cada otra visita la comida ha sido bien drenada.Vale la pena una visita de pescado y patatas fritas de buena calidad. En mi opinión, Gregory's es uno de los mejores.

Massive choice of food and at reasonable prices - portions can be bought in all size portions so no need for waste

Great place to eat, staff very friendly! Typical fish and chip shop! Always busy and a great variety! Shop has been there for years and years which shows how good it is!

A nice friendly helpful fish&chip shop. Selling all the normal things plus daily specials at very reasonable prices. Food is always fresh and hot, especially fish.& very good selection of kebab meats. Very clean and tidy.

I have been going there for 12 years now and must pass at least 3 chip shops to get there,but it is always worth it.The only time I would go some where else is if they where shut.The other chip shops do not deliver the same quality of food or customer service as here.I only wish they were open all day,so I wouldn't need to go any where else and get inferior food and service from second rate shops. But everybody deserves a home life.Now thanks to TripAdvisor I can show my appreciation for for being so good for so long.Thanks to all that work there.

He estado yendo a la ficha tienda durante años y continuará ir porque nunca nos han decepcionado. Su calidad es fabuloso, su atención al cliente es excelente, amable y rápido, y los precios son razonables para lo que te dan en cuanto a parte. ¡Seguid así!

Very greasy chips meat is nice coukd fo with changing oil and sone of the menu is to smsll to read for the older folk

This is an acceptable local chip shop nothing to write home about! Good range of food and average prices.

A nice fish n chip shop that offers gluten free products on Sundays and Mondays. Great tasting and reasonable pricing. Varied menu and specials throughout the week. Pity gluten free bread doesnt do justice to the chip butty :-(
