Been “preparing order”/“driver at restaurant” for over 45 minutes. Called restaurant at midnight to be told it’s been ready for 10 minutes. To then call again after another 25 minutes to be told it’s been ready for 5. Unable to cancel the order on the app and restaurant can’t cancel on there behalf and there’s no way of contacting just eat.

So the Olton Hollow McDonalds isn’t great. Make sure to take your time and look through your bags before leaving the drive through, even if you have tons of cars behind you. As mad as it may sound, management at the place will literally lie to you if you come back to ask for any missing items. And for some reason we have kept on going back there for several years, as it’s on the way between kids clubs and our home. Every so often there are some food items missing, like some chips or similar. No big deal. I just leave it. However, today they missed off an entire big Mack meal, a portion of fries and a Fanta. First world problems probably :) the Fanta was missed at the order point - communication was tricky due to limited English or inexperience of staff. And I did miss it on the order screen. The chips and the big Mack meal was a bit different however, as I had paid for these and they were in my receipt. After bringing the order back home we realised that food was missing. My family ate what we had in the bags, but felt it was fair to go back to the ‘restaurant’ - is this what McDonalds is?- to make them aware and ask for money back on missing items on the receipt. We asked one staff member about it, who was really nice and apologetic and let her manager know. The manager was a total different kettle of fish. She told me in no uncertain terms that we had been given the entirely order that we had paid for, and that the manager remembered giving us the meal and it had been double checked at the point of handing us the order. So, in other words, saying I am liar and that I was there to get free food… , I found this somewhat insulting. And surprising. Also, the resentment in the managers face and voice was something I haven’t experienced before. Did she have a bad day? It felt really strange to me. Anyhow, the manager did offer to give me a free big Mack meal.. So there is that, just to make things less embarrassing. Anyhow, not feeling great about the situation or wanting to take ‘freebies’, I left. Didn’t want to spend another second in there. Petty dire experience. Cannot say that I can recommend this place. Go somewhere else guys 👍🏻

I am not one to typically leave complaints, but the service I received at Olton McDonald's was truly disappointing. I waited for over 40 minutes for my order, during which several other customers expressed frustration about receiving cold or missing food. I checked with the cashier three times, each time being assured that my food was on the way during these encounters staff seem uninterested in helping almost avoiding the front desk. Eventually, I spoke with a manager who was unhelpful and rude she said “I have already done this order’ walked off after rolling her eyes then proceeded to make me wait an additional 10 minutes for my food to be remade. My colleague and I had just completed a 12-hour shift working for the NHS, and during my wait, her food went cold. When we finally received our meals, we discovered there were no sauces (which we had paid for), missing drinks, and no straws. I had to return to the counter multiple times to follow up on these missing items. This experience was extremely frustrating, especially considering the length of the wait and the lack of customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements are made to avoid such issues in the future.

Staff either just don't care or are completely incompetent. I believe in giving second chances to places like this as any restaurant can have a bad day/shift but this store is beyond a joke. Food is either missing, cold or just thrown together with zero care or effort. I had a filet where the bottom half was actually stuck to the box but not the fish as it was clearly just thrown in the box. If you order more than one of an item you should always double check as staff seem to struggle counting beyond two and good luck getting any dips without asking multiple times. Consistently the worst mcdonalds is quite the achievement.

Came to McDonald’s for dinner, place was quiet even the drive through was quiet. So we ordered food expecting it to come out reasonably fast like normal, but we waited 20 minutes and that was because staff were talking amongst themselves and not concentrating on work. When we went up to ask where our order was they grabbed it, and the food was cold. When we told the staff it was cold, they gave it us back and said they reheated, then the staff seemed to show attitude afterwards. The food was still cold after the apparent reheat. We normally come here during the day and get lovely service always when it’s busier, but tonight was disappointing to say the least.

This McDonald's is pathetic. Countless time we didn't' receive the dips we paid for. Once we ordered a chicken salad, the chicken was from the day before, all dry and not tasting fresh. When you order a customer burger, often it is not done properly. Today I ordered extra pickle, extra onion and extra mustard cheeseburger, you can see how the extras are on the photos... 1 additional pickle compared to the classic burger. The fries were also missing from the happy meal, though clearly mentioned on the receipt. Unfortunately, it's the closest McD from home, so when ordering online, no other options. The restaurant itself is not great either, but at least if you don't have a correct order, you can complain right away... Kept hoping it wouldn't keep happening, but obviously, though you pay for the convenience of not moving, you are getting less for more money. Better pay for the petrol and time to go there.

We ordered for a delivery normally not too bad but always have to warm the food as always quite cold. The last time we ordered from there we were a childs cheese burger missing so they went without, thought would give them another try, we won't be ordering from there again as this time we had NO cheese burger and NO double cheese burger both of which were for kids so again they went without as no option on just eat to have them replaced and also no dips were sent for the other kids chicken nuggets. This place is quite possibly the worst place you could ever have food from. The staff are that incompetent that they cannot even manage to read a screen with an order on and follow it. My order was missing two fries, a large coke and the sauces my kids asked for. What food I did receive was then cold. You try to call the store, they just ignore the phone. When people pay hard earned money for something, they should receive what they pay for. May aswell just run past the drive thru and throw £30 in the window and leave. Absolutely disgrace of establishment and embarrassment to the food industry.

I ordered off of Uber eats, the order was quite a big order, 2 of the new burger meals, the chicken box 2 drinks and 2 mcflurries, the driver came and gave me one bag with just the drinks, absolutely no food, the driver recommended me call the shop to try see if the food was there so he could go back, I ended up calling on repeat 7 times with someone answering one time and they put the phone down on me instantly. Only got half of my money back and I don’t know what I paid for. Never ordering McDonald’s again and never using Uber eats again either, absolutely terrible service. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this too this is the 3rd time I have received anything but my food that I ordered. How can you be a food spot and forget to send the food?? Never again

Extremely bad service, although online it says McDonald’s are open they do not mention that it is drive through only. I went in to ask if they were still taking orders and the staff said only drive thru. Staff were also extremely rude. When I tried ordering for drive thru I came back to ask if I could collect it but they would not allow me to pick up my order even though I had already paid for it. At the sight of me the manager said “why are you back again” in such a rude tone. Will not be returning to this McDonald’s again. Poor service and quality and rude to customers. Staff needs to undergo some customer service training.

I can not review the burgers because it was not delivered. The rest of the order was but not the burger. Customer Services closes at 7 pm, and the restaurant does not answer their phone. I called delivered to see what they could do, they did not offer to go back and retrieve the lost burger but offered a refund. Great when you're very hungry and people around you are eating their Mcdonalds. I accepted a full refund, which I reeive in up to 15 days, do they refund interest?

As a customer going into to this restaurant have to wait ages to be served far to busy dealing with delivery drivers and drive thru and found on 2 occasions staff swearing even manger on duty to the point walked out needs improvement

I ordered through the drive through and even though they told us to park we still got our food in around 2-3 minutes and it was hot and included the correct amount of straws and sauce packets

Just had the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my 62 years. The large fish was nothing but a slither of fish in about 4 coatings of rubbery oily batter. The chips were mostly off cuts and bad bits of potato. If I could give no stars I would. Avoid this place at all costs.

Food is okay, nothing special but decent enough for a quick snack. Trying to customise an order is a complete waste of time. After waiting for over 10 minutes for my order, when i finally got it, they got the order the wrong way round! I ordered a big mac with NO PICKLES and EXTRA LETTUCE, but got EXTRA PICKLES (5 in total) and NO LETTUCE! It would have been easier to order it as it comes, and pick off the pickles myself. Don't think i will be a regular here, especially as there's a Burger King just down the street.
