Mcdonald's Restaurants in Basildon

Every time I have ever ordered from here there has been items missing. I am sure it’s a scam. No way they can be that incompetent. They know. They don’t deal with you. They send you to Uber eats or delivery service but it 100% isn’t their fault. The bags are sealed at McDonald’s. Then they offer you a fraction of the cost as a refund. So you can’t even reorder the item let alone pay for another delivery ,no chance. Was missing a burger which cost over £4 and they refunded me £1.80. I spent over £30 and got no meal. Disgusting. Complete and utter scam. And McDonald’s have washed there hands of it. Obviously franchise scamming customers knowing they can get away with it and save money on items. Taking peoples money for no food.

Food is typical fast food - looks nothing like the picture and tastes ok - the nuggets are the only thing I'd recommend - never has books for happy meals so would say not to bother - the toys are poor in comparison to what they used to be like...

To make a complaint that your freed was very very cold and it was very poor your bag goes absolutely wrong cold and the service was very very bad the fridge was absolutely freezing cold and it was half cooked you have chipped hamburger freezing cold I just wanted to it got one of your staff was quite rude

Visited today. Won’t be rushing back. Was absolutely manic. My daughter asked for a couple of sauces. Her request was greeted with a sigh and the sauces were thrown onto the tray. Hostess with the leastest.

Another delivery order missing items. Simple order of their new double burger and two medium fries. Got the Big Mac but not the chicken sandwich. It shouldn’t be difficult the clue is in the title such a bad company site

Ordered a double cheese burger for a quick snack as I wasn't feeling very well. I stood by watching a female manager package up food and line it up in the kitchen instead of handing it out herself, pushing it further along the counter to the point the bags were almost falling off the other end of the counter... After she packed all the orders she then kept whipping out her phone and scrolling through it while 5+ orders sat there bagged up and ready to go while we all had to wait for a member of staff to become available to hand the food out... Manager obviously felt too important to give the food out herself. I asked for a refund, and was offered a fresh burger but honestly I'm so sick of McDonald's and their joke service at inflated prices I just wanted my money back so she slammed the cash in my hand without saying a word. At one point 2 managers were hanging out of the kitchen both on their phones while the que of ready to hand out food just sat there. Total joke and sick of this sort of pathetic service from McDonalds.

Missed delivery no one answers order not delivered

The staff don't seem to know what they're doing during busy periods. Every single Friday, they're short staffed, running around trying to make the food! I recently waited 20 minutes for a meal, then had to wait another ten minutes for my drinks! Terrible service! They also can't handle deliveries. Management needs to sort themselves out and actually organise properly!

Half the menu is never available. Anytime there is a new special or promotion, it's out of stock, card machines work if you're lucky, and wait times are x2 the average McDonald's

Awful service waiting nearly an hour for basic nuggets and chips.....so much for fast food. Wish I'd gone else were for lunch

Missing hash browns for delivery ..is it really that hard?! Only ordered three items. Delivery bag was sealed so wasn't the driver

Chip was not even hot and hard got 2 plain burger and they was not even lukewarm and got crisp burger and was not even lukewarm did ask one of the staff to make sure that the food would be hot but wasn’t hot at all and my friend got two chicken and bacon wrap and that wasn’t lukewarm either very disappointed with McDonald

A TL or manager tossed my food by the chips and then my friends burger looked very unpresentable.

I ordered dinner for my daughters around 7 pm, after almost 2 hours they canceled the order. Obviously the experience was very disappointing.....Never again

Very quick service and clean toikets

Came here around lunchtime and ordered 6 piece chicken nugget and received only 5, call me petty but I love my food(meaning i pay for 6 i want 6, and no dont accuse me of eating 1 nugget), I received cold food and not up to standard, and let's just say when the atmosphere gets busy and crowded they need to shout the numbers louder I'm losing my hearing and can't hear well. Overall a good McDonald's however my service is always somehow let down.

This mcdonald's is always busy but helpful staff, always happy to replace food if needed. Great customer service here.

Great customer service! They were out of cucumber for my daughter’s happy meal so they offered me an alternative; however my daughter is pretty fussy and everything they suggested she wouldn’t eat. The lady (her name may have been Cally or Carly) insisted we couldn’t go without so gave us a chocolate brownie instead. Genuinely thoughtful and considerate staff, looking to keep their customers happy.

Fantastic service and friendly staff. Was quick to use the self ordering machines and even quicker to have my order made by the staff

I don't come here often, rarely to be honest, but I qued up for an ice cream for my Great Nephew. When it came, it was not frozen completely, didn't look appetising at all. Was in a rush so didn't go back. Only good thing the Customer Service Lady saw me waiting and handed me an ice cream before my ticket number was up, very kind.

I Was supposed to write a review the other week but they are such lovely people in there and the food is always so good. I was reading some of these comments about orders and people are saying the receipt is different to the app when they’ve ordered delivery I don’t think people realise that’s the drivers faults giving people the wrong orders and they are nothing to do with their company I feel so sorry for you guys for the getting the backlash from what the drivers do and I’ve always understood if my order mucks up from deliveries that majority of the time it’s not even their fault it’s the poxy drivers.

I am writing to you in concern because I fear that you are selling invisible food and haven't declared this. My just eat order was missing items, and were different on the hard copy receipt to the just eat one. So, there must also be a Ninja in your work place changing people's orders too. In all seriousness. My son didn't get his cheese burger or chips. We didn't get the free chicken nuggets when you spend £15 I didn't get the 10 SWEET CURRY DIPS (I ordered this many so you couldn't miss them but you still didn't send any!) (and on my receipt, someone changed them to sweet and sour but didn't get them either) To top it off I had no flake in my "chocolate flake McFlurry." I also received no straws, spoons or napkins How? Please tell me HOW this has been got so wrong!? I understand you're busy. I get that it's probably a peak time and it's a Friday. But how can you send an order out like this!? Honestly, it's the worst customer service I've ever had! So disappointed! P.s I have taken this up with just eat but it's not their fault that you can't cook and bag up people's orders

This afternoon I ordered for 100% chicken breast fillet in a cripsy crunchy coating. Served with iceberg lettuce. There was no chicken beast fillet in it. This is not the first time my order is not completed and I'm just pissed about it. Each time I place an order, one thing or another is missed!

Usual McDonald's menu. Clean restaurant and nearby toilets. You can also order at touch screen stations. The staff who clear tables are employed by Eastgate, not McDonald's. They are generally more mature women and are super-efficient!!! Since the pandemic, the wait for orders is often a lot longer, as staff have so many online orders to process. The screens rarely print receipts, so remember your order number!!

5 stars all round. Certainly better food and service than London based branches

Food was just thrown together by a dirty looking woman who wasn't wearing gloves, completely disgusting and put me off, all girls behind the counter, all more interested in having a chat and a laugh then providing clean food. Never be coming back

Quick and hot food good amount of tables and highchairs for babies

Amazing customer service by the manager ( I didn’t manage to see her name, unfortunately :( ) She was extremely friendly, kind and generous and helped me when I did not see the number for my order, also giving me chips! 😊 Her service was immaculate and I was extremely grateful for her help and hospitality! 😁

This McDonalds at Stratford is usually busy and a good place to quench that hunger and thirst for anything McDonald's.

The service on drive true is really good. Staff amazing. But the food is complete without any taste. Chips is chips and is good. I coice a milk shake but something is diferent than I try before. Before is amazing now is just milk-shake kkk

Choice of ordering at till or touch-screen system. Orders delivered quickly. Food was hot and tasty. Just what I'd expect from a fast food restaurant 😋

Not the best of service, I’ve been here a few times and quite often got my order wrong even when I’ve done it off of the self service machine. There is either a communication problem between staff or with the machines. Either or. The staff however worked hard and fast at breakfast and lunch times as in Eastgate shopping centre it can get busy very quickly. Good on some occasions was hot other times was warm enough to eat straight away, so it’s been a mixture of visits

Alway stop at mc Donald's when hungry, its tasty and staff always try to help.

Got half the order wrong, no jam or spoon for porridge, sauce in bacon roll when requested no sauce, food cold, hot chocolate also cold, staff standing around doing nothing, poor show all round

The food court Maccy D's in Eastgate is a good place to eat if you are eating in as it has the food court seating to use it can be very busy around lunch time but that doesn't stop the fast service that they provide here, I like going for breakfast here when I'm in town as it's nice food and very cheap and always served up quick, the staff are very helpful and friendly here and it's always nice and clean!!!

Very busy. They are concentrating more on orders via deliveroo, etc over those that bother to come along in person. No ice cream -. School holidays it should be working. Still their loss, and ice cream man's gain.

Was in the drive thru for 20 mins then when I got to the front they still told me to park up and wait for my food then waited an extra 20 mins !!

Slow at the drive thru tell us to park up when there are no spaces when we pointed that out they said keep driving round so we waited at the window and when I checked the food they forgot our apple pies so had to go back. Dreadful service won't be coming back any time soon.

Cold food .I thought being here ar busy time food would be hot but no totally cold. Is it new serving method cold as last one I had from Pitsea cold now Basildon cold. No excuse.

Food is good for a takeaway but you normally find lots of teenagers in the evening all sitting round a single drink. Delivery service by 3rd parties not so good as twice used and twice food turned up cold and we only live 6 minutes away !

Queue to order not to bad. Waiting time a bit to long to warrant the name "fast food". Biggest complaint it was really not very hot. Practically cold. I don't think the size of the kitchen is big enough,for the increase of demand caused by the many pick up drivers from delivery companies joining the throng.

Always a quick turn around for food only one thing I would change is the way they call you forward with the masks and a quiet person serving it was hard for everyone to hear their numbers called no table service at eastgate at the moment

Staff are friendly service is quick. My only gripe is their app so many times I have used it to place my order once there they can't find it. Other than that no complaints

not bad. Best avoided at manic times like lunch or school holidays. They have responded to the pandemic like any corporate company. They employ people to think and to keep the Penny's rolling in...do they care about people? No. Do they care about being clean and keeping their business above disaster?. Yes . Says it all

Satisfactory. The hot chocolate, sadly, was watery and far too sweet. Cleanliness of tables and seating areas was borderline. Manager(s), you need to be more watchful regarding quality control. Small details matter.

Staff member told us we cannot stand by barrier, loud beyond a joke, however food was alright I got the sick feeling you always get after a McDonald's meal but it fine they can't help that. Most staff were kind however the organisation was a joke.

Closes far to early for a large shopping centre. You need to get there before 6pm

Took a bit longer to get our orders because most staff were bagging up big Deliveroo orders for people too lazy to go and get it themselves.
