Please do not buy from this place. It’s filthy and my food had hair in it as well as being cold. The staff are not fluent in English and resorting to swearing at me infront of my child. It’s cheap chicken and you wouldn’t buy it if you saw it raw. I made this mistake so you don’t have to!! Go elsewhere In response to the owner, You have done nothing to resolve other than a lip service reply. I am not the only person to complain and no doubt I won't be the last. Your establishment is dirty and the staffs manners are disgusting. DO NOT EAT HERE

I am absolutely disgusted with the staff at Favourite chicken in Wickford. i have been a loyal customer for months, but i am disappointment with the treatment i received today. On 2 occasions i have ordered from them and they didn't follow my instructions, however today is the first time i made them aware. they got my order wrong again for the 3rd time and i decided to contact them directly as i couldn't get through to Uber Eats. i called them to let them know of the mess up and they denied giving me the wrong order, despite me saying I can provide evidence. He asked for my number to call me back whilst he speaks to the manager, but not wanting to give my number, I said I will hold on the line instead. The staff member then purposely hung up the phone on me and when I tried to call back numerous times they ignored it and didn’t answer. i then decided to take the food back directly to the shop, which i was very upset about, as now they are causing even more of an inconvenience for me. when i arrived i gave the food to the manager of the shop, he was in plain clothes and he has these patches around his mouth. I explained the situation and also let him know that his staff hung up the phone on me and at this stage I want my money back. he didn't even apologise or acknowledge the mistake, and tried to belittle me by acting as if this was a minor mistake, saying, ‘what do you want them to do, they are very busy, it was only 1 mistake’. He started becoming aggressive and argumentative which is not what I would of expect from a manager who should be showing professionalism. he then slammed a £10 note on the counter and told me to take it. i said no, as i paid way more than that on Uber eats, he took the money back and shouted well you go to uber eats and sort it out then!!. I told him why doesn't he get on the app and refund me and he refused saying i should sort it out myself. i then said fine i will accept the £10 in which he then refused to offer it to me again and said no and walked off and started to ignore me. i then called Uber Eats whilst in the shop to rectify this situation in which the manager then left the shop in a huff and puff abandoning his staff. i am absolutely disgusted that you have such a man at your shop and from the reviews, you have had many complaints about this manager, so why is he still in this position treating customers like this? Judging by the reviews, you also have many complaints about them getting the orders wrong, so why is it ok for this to continue? if they are in the wrong, there should be no excuse and you shouldn't be defending your mistake and try belittling the customer as if its a minor issue, his minor mistake is a big mistake to me, as the food was not only to feed myself but my son. a simple I'm sorry, or let me fix this for you would have been the more appropriate way to address the situation. how can you have such a disgusting, bad mannered, aggressive manager in your shop? how can you have staff who hang up the phone on customers? This manager is a complete coward, as I believe if I was a man he would have never reacted as irrational as he did. Customers who pay through Uber Eats spend way more money than they would if they went into the shop, so when special instructions are given, they should be followed. I am very glad i remained calm during this situation, because he was so hostile, that this could have turned bad real quick if i had reacted. The staff member who hung up the phone is also just as disgusting and shouldn’t be able to work in your establishment. you shouldn't have such a nasty person in charge if that's how they are going to respond to a customer. The fact that you still have him there despite all these customer complaints that I can see in your reviews, shows that you don’t even listen to your customers or value them at all. He clearly doesn't know a thing about customer service, he is uncivilised, unprofessional, useless, aggressive, nasty, throw his toys out the pram like a baby a*se manager I will NEVER step foot in there again, disgraceful!!

Have been using Favorite Chicken &Ribs in Wickford for a number of years. To be honest I prefer it over KFC, always juicy and good flavour. Price is reasonable and service is good. It is only takeaway now, no in shop dining.

Whats happened? This place used to be great , no chairs or tables anymore? Popped in today , said hello mate and the bloke went " what?" Couldnt beleive it , j asked for wings please , how many he said 6? I went yeah thaf will do mate , how much? 4.99 he said !!! 4.99 for 6 wings , thats crazy!!! Food was grim wouldn’t recommend. Lettuce was going brown and burger had less taste than ghandis flip flop. Chips were so sub standard even the homeless woman outside binned them off after I gave them away. To top it of the child at the till needs stronger glasses as he got two orders wrong in the time I waited for mine. Poor

This bloke is the most abysmal customer service rep I've ever encountered. DO NOT GO HERE. They will spit in your food. WATCH. EDIT: I went in and asked the store owner if my comments had been passed on. His response: "What review?" Says it all doesn't it. What was once my favourite place to consume battery farmed micro hens is not my least-loved place to eat. I will be returning shortly with THOUSANDS of eggs which will be thrown at the store over many weeks. WATCH.

Me and my family are regular at this favourite chicken at wickford, however we will NOT BE AFTER TONIGHT!!!! When we arrive back home with our meal we noticed that ALL of our fillet burgers were pink and one in particular very pink. I called the store and explained my findings and was told to fetch it straight back. Upon arrival the server took a quick glance at the food and said it was fine. I replied that it had never happened before and that I wanted all the meals replaced including mine which was different but by this time my meal was stone cold. Server said he would only replace the burger meals even though my meal was now cold due to their mistake. I asked to speak to manager who said that he couldn't see any pink until I asked him to look more closely, then agreed and all meals were replaced. I was shocked by the attitude of the staff especially as this was their fault not mine. Got back home with the replacement order and what did I find YET ANOTHER PINK FILLET BURGER!!!!. I didn't bother the call the manager back at this point I just put the whole lot in the bin what's the point of speaking to someone who obviously doesn't really care about giving people under cooked food. £30 of takeaway in the rubbish. Standards have obviously slipped here and we will not be returning.

Don't go here, "owner" is so rude I can't explain in words. If you ever feel like being treated like S*** one of these days, then head on down to Favorites Wickford - they will not disappoint! I am seeing a lot of the same type of review to this about the same 1 guy in this store. Remove him OR you will lose a LOT of business, it's as simple as that.

Just this afternoon the rude guy I met( not in favourite uniform) spoke to me rudely and insulted me. Asking me out of the shop saying he’s the owner of the shop just because I told him the chips he gave me was very little compared to what I usually buy in fact compared to what I bought yesterday from Rayleigh. He returned my money back. Even the staff and other customers were looking at him.. I am really disappointed that you guys hired such a rude person to manage a store.

Absolutely disgusting service this evening! Visiting from lowestoft to see my brother and brother in law and we ordered from here. My brothers meal was missing we had no mention of them resolving the issue just pure rudeness from a gentleman and then was spoken to by a lady who abruptly told my brother in law that 'we should learn how to order' even though we have the receipt to show two of the same meal was ordered and hadn't received one out of the 5 meals and then she proceeded to hang up the phone. Absolutely fuming is an understatement and my brother had missed out on his meal. Will not recommend! We were very close to turning up to the restaurant after the rudeness we had received for a missing a meal that we had paid for and not received! Vile customer service and relations!

Ordered favourites a couple nights ago, sent me the complete wrong order! Don't know how you mix up 2pcs chicken meal and chicken wrap for 8 pcs of chicken 4 portions of chips and 2 large beans! Anyway. Ordered again last night and received a completely different chicken wrap to what I had ordered a couple nights before, when I phoned to say they have given me the wrong order, again... I got told I need to specify what chicken I would like in the wrap.. well the gentleman I spoke to a couple days before told me there was only one type of chicken wrap! The lady then told me last night it was my fault and nothing they can do so half of my £20 went in the bin. Disgusting service, disgusting attitude from the staff and food was awfully gross. Will never be ordering ever again.

We have ordered from here for years for my family no problems, tonight I had undercooked chicken, it had runny blood inside, I complained they said they checked one of their chicken it was cooked so I must go to head office, I said can I just have a replacement meal didnt ask for refund and they refused, told me its chilli marinade, I explained im 33 I've cooked chicken plenty of times this is not cooked! Refusal of any meal or refund and to go to head office, absolutely disgusted with the way we have been treated and lack of meal now for my children. Wont order again

I ordered a normal filet burger and got a spicy one I called the shop to see if I could get a normal burger or money back as I have a health condition where I can't eat spicy food and was told they can't do anything I asked to speak to a manager and was told he is to busy to talk to me. Food is always good here, but recently staff have changed and service is incredibly slow. 25 minutes waiting in the shop recently and when food was finally "ready" they hadnt cooked what we had ordered so we had to accept alternative product. Small improvement in organisation in the kitchen would go a long way, nothing wrong with the food though.

Every time I have ever ordered from here there has been items missing. I am sure it’s a scam. No way they can be that incompetent. They know. They don’t deal with you. They send you to Uber eats or delivery service but it 100% isn’t their fault. The bags are sealed at McDonald’s. Then they offer you a fraction of the cost as a refund. So you can’t even reorder the item let alone pay for another delivery ,no chance. Was missing a burger which cost over £4 and they refunded me £1.80. I spent over £30 and got no meal. Disgusting. Complete and utter scam. And McDonald’s have washed there hands of it. Obviously franchise scamming customers knowing they can get away with it and save money on items. Taking peoples money for no food.

Good fast food restaurant, food was hot and quick especially considering how busy it was. Only complaint was that we used the table service and had to go back and ask for sugar and milk for the tea as was not offered at the table. Also no milk shakes available.

Paid 16pounds for a lamb shish combo with Cofty. The meat is tasteless. No chips no rice nothing with it 16 quid. What a joke not even chips. You go to plush you pay 21 quid. How do you get coleslaw rice salad, pitta bread, different sources at the taste is amazing never ordering from here again.
