McDonalds Restaurant in Breckland

Thought it would be nice to order my partner a big McDonald’s breakfast for his birthday as he’s been having a really rough time lately and we’re both super unwell. Half the order was missing, the rest was wrong, can’t get a refund for delivery as McDonald’s are partnered with Uber Eats. Ruined the morning really and I’ve now deleted both my Mcdonalds and Uber Eats accounts. Can’t be bothered with the lack of resolve on orders that are wrong. McDonald’s stated that they couldn’t do anything unless we wanted to go via head office. Absolute joke and not worth the money you chance losing on delivery fees etc. This also means that if you get your food for a group and anything is missing, you won’t get a replacement for any of the missing items unless you want to re order and pay for another delivery, meaning half the group might go hungry unless you want to waste more money on delivery and receive another order that might also be wrong. This has also happened to us on a few occasions in the past but this time was ridiculous, the order was no where near correct. It’s like we got someone else’s order with our receipt on it. Oh, and we have to wait up to 15 days for a refund from Uber Eats.

There’s not a great deal to do in Thetford in the early hours without a car and so was glad to see Macdonald’s open at 5am (although the drive-thru is open all night). Had the honour of order 001.

It was our first time down here as we are visiting, decided to pop into McDonald’s to be greeted by a rude “boy” he was cleaning the outside seating area to which my dad said to our family we’ll sit here to be told the table was technically reserved for a family that was ordering their food inside.. which with McDonald’s if you find a seat you sit down.. so my dad decided to have a joke with him and said “you need to build a bigger restaurant to cater for all the people whilst laughing and he started getting shirty and gobby towards my dad in front of a lot of people.. I recommend that this “boy” finds himself a new career path because his customer service isn’t the best😂 Safe to say we won’t be visiting here again.. first impressions count as far as I’m concerned.. however kfc across the road brilliant service!

Went for breakfast place was spotless had been for lunch a few day earlier spotless even though it was very busy, they are all so polite and clear your stuff way will visit again

I’m no fan of Macdonald’s food but stopped off here with student in tow - an easy stop off point. I wanted to express how welcoming and kind the staff were and how quickly our order arrived despite being a busy time at the weekend. What a difference smiling and helpful staff make and left me with such a good impression.

Stopped by late at night as we were staying in the nearby Travelodge. Burgers were fresh and hot and the staff were lovely, really helpful and polite.

Extremely slow service . When eventually served cold burgers ! Over run with delivery drivers who seemed to take presidency over customers eating in. Food sitting around so long when it eventually reached us it was cold. A really nasty meal and we won’t return to this branch again. A positive is that the staff were pleasant

Literally just been at drive thru for some drinks at 11 today and the girl with dark brown hair at the second window was too busy talking to a car full of boys laughing and talking to them for ages dropping sauces and whatever so therefore making us wait when she was parking then up anyway, we then finally got to the window no nice welcome she couldn’t of been more rude to us no thank you just passed the drinks and that was that nothing like the treatment the men in front got. Pathetic normally get a lovely welcome but she really let you down today McDonald’s

Had food delivered. Was wrong. As always but do have to say Keith our delivery guy was lovely happy and friendly. Only good thing about the whole experience

I had to put my bacon bap together as it arrived deconstructed. All in all with the app price of £2.79 for large breakfast bacon bap meal it was good value!

Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Food was great and one of our Grandchildren commented that it was his ‘best ever lunch at MacDonalds’.

Long wait.coffee cold.chips cold. Burger Luke warm the worst Mac I’ve ever been to run by a bunch of spotty kids.terrible.will never return

An awful Experience from start to finish, arrived with my youngest daughter for a quick pit stop after a long drive and arrived at this particular Mc Donald’s, we both checked in via the NHS app, worse appropriate masks and applied hand gel, Soon after this we were greeted by a very rude lady, I’d say in her 60’s telling us to sit down and order rather than ask us, zero people skills and no manners what so ever, clearly a lady that should seriously considering taking early retirement as working with the general public clearly isn’t for her, Food ordered and was brought over to our table, Started to eat our food but after the very poor service and actually being very disappointed we decided to eat the rest of our food in the car, before leaving I nipped to the men’s toilets only to find that it was in a very poor state and definitely not fit for use, it was absolutely disgusting in fact, Now I know it’s not s 5 star restaurant but hygiene should be at its highest level and even more so during current times. I will avoid going here in the future. Rude staff and over all a dirty restaurant..Avoid !

Every time I’ve used Thetford drive thru they say the famous words ‘Park up please’ can be the smallest of orders and always parked. I drive up and down the country and this one is the worst for parking people.

I have been to this McDonald’s about 4-5 times I have had loads of issues with hair in food getting the wrong food or not getting the food I ordered and getting the wrong drinks and paper in a cheese burger it’s absolutely disgusting I...

Without exaggeration they get the orders wrong around 40% of the time. Today I ordered a Latte and a black coffee and they got that wrong!

Top class breakfast, not greasy at all. Almost perfect with the exception there was no egg on my double-mcmuffin. Plenty of outside seating too which was nice

I do recognise what McDonalds as a company is doing in terms of recycling and sustainability in general but the amount of rubbish outside of the restaurant (which I appreciate is a shared car park) is disgusting. Overflowing bins of clearly McDonald's rubbish should be cleared regularly and (hopefully) recycled. Does the rubbish that is thrown away when people eat in your car park also count towards the target of zero waste?

The atmosphere is pretty good! All the staff are friendly, approachable, attentive, and eager to please!We went just as they'd started to close down some of the machines for cleaning, as this is a 24-hour operation, so any delays were both excusable and understandable. We were in no hurry either.The food was good, and hot, but we left the apple pies for a while, and the inside of the pie became cooler than the temperature of molten lava! In addition to that, they tasted pretty good!

was sat in mc donalds for nearly 1 hour waiting for just 6 nuggets and 2 ice creams and its not even busy

Absolutely ambysmal service on multiple occasions. Visited tonight and staff once again were disinterested and unable to assemble orders in a timely and efficient manner. We placed our order via the touch screen and proceeded to wait nearly half an hour whilst a member of the so-called ‘customer care’ team stood aimlously looking at the order screen allowing our food to go cold. When we did finally receive our food, the fries were stone cold and barely filled at all (seeming as though the crew member serving us did not know how to adequately fill a medium fry box), there was barely any chicken in my partner’s wrap, and we received a second iced drink that we neither wanted or in fact ordered. Upon receiving the order I promptly returned to the counter to be told that we would be given fresh food in due course by the duty manager. However despite this statement and her polite apology, I still had to follow this up. If you’re passing Thetford and fancy a McDonald’s, i recommend you bypass this one completely and visit the Thickthorn, Dereham or Swaffham restaurants instead. At least at those restaurants the staff are not utterly hopeless and fundamentally useless. For a big corporate company you would certainly expect better.

I have been to this branch of McDonalds at Thetford many times and would like to point out that quality is getting worse with each visit over the past 12 months.

We do a McDonald's because we know exactly what we getting it's the same wherever you go to a McDonald's I always choose the Chicken Legend which is the best burger as far as I'm concerned only think they could put mayonnaise on the bottom bum as it's always very dry

I drive all over the country so I’ve been in many McDonald’s. had to cue up and wait 20 minutes for my order. No because it was busy but because we’re having to wait for every order to be cooked and completed instead of parking people up. So I finally get my food. Park up and my order doesn’t even match what I orderd so I had to cue up again another 20 minutes then to be told to park up. My food was cold and my sauce which I orderd wasn’t in my order I’ll never come back this McDonald’s again id rather drive 15 miles to bury. The staff are useless and don’t care.

McDonald’s in Thetford never ceases to amaze me, how the food is always cold or Luke warm amazes me, and the burgers are slung together, a very poor excuse for a Macdonalds

I am frequent costumer of Mcdonalds in newmarket, thetford, St Edmunds Burry, and I can say, that thetford costumer service and food quality dissapoints me the most. Of 5 times i got three times or was missing 1-2 mc nuggets, or they give me tea without sugar, or something else. This year i am really dissapointed with the services, before 3 years the service and quality in Thetford was much better.

We popped into McDonalds for a quick snack lunch and was amazed at the wide and interesting choice available The place was absolutely bursting with customers and there was nowhere to sit inside, however good seating was available under cover outside. My wife and I chose seperate dishes and found a seat just ahead of a young waitress behind us with our tray of food, all in a matter of minutes. The food was tasty and well supported with sauces etc. I must highly commend the young staff who not only worked quickly and efficiently but did so with a smile and cheery manner.

Been a few times on the way through to trips away, always clean and tidy, friendly polite staff, never had an issue with food. Will keep coming back

I've been to a few and this McDonalds is the nicest so far. Great staff and the usual cheap eats, and it's just off the A11 so no need to pay the expense of a roadside diner!
