Has to be the worst mcdonalds in the country i really cant imagine it could worse anywhere else. Chips come in to options burnt to a crisp or uncooked. Chicken burger was 90% breading. Terrible. Avoid at all cost

Poor ! Fries were cold. I took them back and waited for a fresh batch noticing lots of portions laid under heat lamps for ages waiting to be ordered. No wonder my original ones were cold.

Not fast food by any definition ... Placed the order using the self service ... 16 meals in preparation ... not busy , just slow - there is a difference . Not all items available on the menu A lot of folk sitting at tables with no food . Possibly the worst McD I have visited ...

Speedy service as we popped in outside the mid-day rush period. The guy serving was cheerful and the food area nice and clean.

I liked this service station, there was a picnic area right next to the main doors where I scoffed my sarnies. I fancied a coffee to finish off and so went to McDonalds, where the quality wasn't much cop but, hey, I paid £1.59 rather than the rip-off prices elsewhere. Usual McDonalds experience with the usual order-by-touchscreen which makes everything easy.

This is a great example of why I - and presumably many others - do not like McDonalds. Seemed to be a limited menu which was in a very small font. Short of staff (at 19.00) = long queues. Dry, over cooked burger .... We won't return

Turned away saying ‘closed’, no explanation. Specifically went to this service station due to the McDonald’s being a 24 hour. Left very hungry as the only open shop, WHSmith was charging over £4 for a basic chicken sandwich. Decided to continue on with our journey while the hunt for late night food continues...

There's something impersonal about McDonald's. Some like that. I don't. It's why I haven't visited one for so long, but - heading along the M1 - a pee break was needed, and we called in. I didn't like the look of the food at all, and the impersonal experience was underlined by a new ordering system that means you can do it on a screen just yards from where people are standing ready to take your order. So no need to interact with anyone either. I realised then what this brave new world is like. HUMANS. If you haven't seen the series - a flawed but compelling show taking robotics to its inevitable conclusion, with IT-created human-like robots serving our needs and eventually rebelling - it's uncannily similar. The question is: who are the robots and who are the humans. With all humanity extracted from this food-filling factory, the jury is out. I had a banana milk shake - the sugariest confection I've ever tasted. It was £1.79. Next time I'll bring my own drink and sandwiches.

Had a typical Mcdonalds 'meal', but spoiled by a very dry burger. Fries were ok but even the 'large' portion is very small. We won't rush back.

This is our second time at this McD and it was a vast improvement on the first visit. The young man that served us was a gentleman through and through and we were served fresh, hot and tasty food with sauces to go. What a difference. The coke was still unidentifiable as coke... not bad just not coke?

Called in on our travels South and were bitterly disappointed. Not too busy but dirty. No sauces, no serviettes and staff not bothered. The station where you collect straws etc was disgusting.

Heading south on a particularly busy Friday Iz and I dropped in for a McD to go. Shame. The Fries looked good but were cool and made from bland potato, the burger was just ok but the coke was positively unidentifiable. I have no idea what the sweet carbonated drink I was given was but it certainly was not coke.

The food was all piping hot, staff were really friendly, it was lunch time and I still got served quickly and the burger almost looked like the one in their adverts!

Just eaten at Mcdonalds on way home from holiday and was so looking forward to it. However, cold soggy chips, wrong order and garlic mayo rather than normal mayo, one item left off the order. It wasn't busy! How difficult can it be??

Stopping off at the Roadchef Northampton Services on the M1, my son was excited to have breakfast at McDonalds. One Sausage & Egg McMuffin, Fruit Sticks and orange juice later, he was happy and contented. One small issue is that McDonalds don't do Gluten Free...

McDonald's is McDonald's but the food I had wasn't great. The fries were stuck together but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rumours are not true and the mozzarella sticks were filled completely with cheese. This will never be high end dining.

If you have any dietary requirements or allergens they have no clue about how to serve these and if you ask them to be corrected you get bad attitude and the staff bad mouthing you where they can't hear you. Cleanliness is a BIG issue here as well. Your better off visiting a greasy lay bye burger van

Absolutely horrible place. Now I understand that it is a Morrisons cafe so we really were not expecting high quality food and oh my gosh did we get a disappointment and a half. First of all we order on the machine which was fine we sat down with the number and then a staff member came over to us and told us to wait there he will come with our drinks, not even a mintue later another staff member came over and told us a completely different thing they told us to go get any drinks we want and do it our self’s, well we couldn’t do it ourselves because there was no cups. Next problem we ordered a meatball sub and then we were told they had non well first of all why is it still available on the machine if u don’t have it why offer it and then have to change what u want, they basically said you have to choose something from here but we can’t heat it up even tho what’s why we chose the meatball sub because it was a hot option. The food came and pretty much everything was cold except one dish. They forgot things on our order and didn’t even say sorry for not having things that we ordered. The tables were dirty and they just didn’t seem like they cared or knew what they were doing. DO NOT RECOMMEND to anyone even just for a drink !!!!

Upon arriving there weren’t many people in the restaurant. We ordered 2 portions of mac and cheese, a child’s chicken nuggets and chips and a cold sandwich. All the hot food was stone cold. I spent 10 minutes searching through the utensils pot to try and find a clean set. The hot drinks from the hot machine were cold and the mugs were dirty. The staff were rude and when giving them our dirty plates he slammed them down on the table and walked away. Overall, not worth it, never coming back

Had a great lunch at Britannia which is a little gem on the edge of Northampton. Service was great, the food came out hot, in good time & you could tell it was freshly prepared. Portion sizes mean you won't leave on an empty stomach but there is still space for something after and we managed to grab a table by one of the fires. Will definitely be visiting again and getting a Sunday lunch booked in!
