I wanted a crispy McChicken burger, it was crispy but it was not the chicken... turns out some manky junkie of an employee had sprinkled on there crusty green toe nails onto my burgers bun. still though after a hard days work I enjoyed it very much.

We went to Macdonald's West Thurrock Essex on May 22nd 2024 at 19.55 hours. We went through the Drive Thru which to actually order took 20 minute to arrive at the order point. To be told that the items we wanted was not in stock (Biscoff Macflurry) So we ordered two Smartie Macflurrys to be told at the payment point that we had to have mini Macflurries. After waiting for a further 10 minutes we were served. Taking a total of 30 minutes to be served two ice cream Desserts. The cashier/Order taker sounded board on taking our order. Not a very pleasant experience on this visit to Lakeside West Thurrock. 30 minutes to travel less than 100 metres seems excessive.

I went with my family spent £25, when I ask for ketchup they then said I have got to order it and pay for it . I then ask to see the manager witch they said he was busy and told me to complain on line . I have been to other McDonald’s since which had free ketchup, I will never use the lakeside McDonald’s again.

I use the drive through on a regular basis, the last week has been a bit of a disappointment. I arrived there today with one car in front of me, we waited but no one taking orders so we both drove round to the first window. No one there so the first car drove off, l waited still no one so I when down the next window where a young man sad sorry would I like to walk in or reverse back , at this point I threw the towel in and went elsewhere.

Me and my partner visited Lakeside retail park McDonalds and received amazing service from Saad. He was polite and did everything with a smile. He came up to our table and asked if everything was ok with the food and if he could get us anything else. I have never received service like this from a McDonald’s. He is an asset to the company!!

This restaurant is an absolute shambles, it’s actually mind boggling how they can get the most simplest of tasks wrong, I honestly think they are just a bunch of zombies, sleep walking around the kitchen, I mean no disrespect, but I just think HOW?!?!? Can you get that wrong?!?!?!? There absolute imbeciles, they have zero clue what they are doing, I’m such a idiot for actually going there or ordering from Uber eats, but each and every time I do they ALWAYS get something wrong! I don’t know why I’m so surprised, but it does get me every time because I think HOW??????????????????????????????????????????? I actually just ordered from Uber eats, and it’s not Ubers fault it’s there’s, but anyway I’ve just ordered, they gave me two wrong drinks, there was missing items and cold food. I just don’t get it? They are absolute airheads and have absolute no idea how to read a order receipt, it’s embarrassing. Fast food yeah, but you have to spend a week complaining until you get a resolution. It’s actually a joke.

Waited 45 mins for my order as at first they got the order wrong and half of it was missing, whilst waiting for my additional items, 2 bins were filled with fresh food. Idk y they can’t just make the items people are waiting for rather than making lots of items just to put straight into the bin.

As above, dangerous queues leading out onto the main road. 15 minutes till being able to place my order. Once ordered was sat waiting wondering where my food had got to. This is probabaly my fifth visit this year an same issue each time day or night.

Rude staff. Cold food. Wrong order Went to the drive through tonight when it come to the second window a lady had to get out her car to grab a meal that was missing from her order which instantly made me check my order. Chips were on top they were stone cold when asking for fresh the lady at the window was ridiculously rude but I’m not shocked because staff are always rude when we go there. I didn’t check the order properly as I felt a box so assumed they’d get my order correct. Drove home check the bag and the order is wrong. So not only can they not keep food hot they can’t even get your order correct and get stroppy when questioning it. Staff need some training in customer service and how to correctly heat food. ID GIVE IT A 0 IF I COULD

The food is cold old food and extremely and when an exchange is offered it is the same cold old food. The staff, generally are consistently rude on a regular basis - never ever again!

Not the fault of the staff, but this place is a joke..since Covid the premesis is far to small for the demand, the takeaway delivery drivers take up half the building , there drive through is absolutely rediculous , and to even order inside is a waste of time , take ages to get your food by which time it's generally been sitting about for some time. They need to move and have a building double the size with a drive through, 2 full lanes not 2 going into 1, and a dedicated area for delivery drivers park and collect food. Causes huge tailbacks on the roads at time. Can't believe this had not been addressed or more complaints to the council and McDonald's. Avoid if your after a quick meal.

Well it's a McDonald's. One thing was the amount of delivery people awaiting their orders to deliver - must be the local office workers? McDonald's is the same everywhere. This place is open, big and seemed clean.

Ordered a drive thru, chips were plain and cold, burger tasted funny, and worst of all, my lemonade had a funny taste too which lead to me opening up the cup only to see weird dark marks on the inside of the cup and things floating around in it. Tried to call them to inform them of this but no answer. Never again will I ever go there. And I’m going to demand an explanation. I think this falls on management, someone or staff need sacking. Absolutely disgusting. I think I am going to contact a head office about this.. absolutely disgusting.

I've had mcdonalds meals all over the world, and been to most in this country and Thurrock retail park McDonalds is by far the worst of them all, your staff dont listen, i needed chips with the salt, the burger was cold, full of everything i said i didnt want and the Mcflurry had maybe three toppings on it, it was basically a cup of Mr Whippy.

This is the worst mcdonalds ever. Everytime you buy a drink it's best your prepared as their drinks are always flat. They advertise 24hr service but are never open after 10pm. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is poor!!!

What a joke. Get here in time for breakfast to find drive thru machines don’t work. Queue for approx 5 minutes to be told breakfast has finished 🤬 got a couple of cheeseburgers to fill the gap , they were cold and stale tasting , returned for a refund but no manager camero see me just a no star gave me the refund in change , unapologetically. Ronald McDonald 🏠 is now £1.98 richer, so something good did eventually come out of it , and I found a Subway nearby so alls good in the world again . Don’t go to this McDonald’s it’s lame

Service fine - used the self service and it was brought to the table. BUT. I now this place is obviously full of kids but they really need to try harder to keep it cleaner. Empty tables dirty, food all over chairs and the floor..... I know it's busy buy there's no excuse for not cleaning up and it really deters you from coming back.

The easy order system makes the process of orders much quicker especially for customisations. Staff could be a little more friendly.

I work on the Lakeside estate so have used this place in the past, after repeated problems I have given up and no longer use it, the fries are always cold and don't bother ordering a large meal because they only seem to do one size of fries and that's small, the packet gets bigger but they don't fill it. There always seems to be a problem with the automated screens and I have never seem more than 1 person manning the normal tills, to sum it up I have given up on this McDonalds it's without doubt the poorest one Ive visited and don't bother complaining as they never get back to you.

total shambles. friend went to desk to order.we went to order on computer menu which was shaking about. friend had to wait for someone to come take her order. so slow. getting food so very slow. went to get sauce's from pump things a mess all around no sauce's told staff. no response . no straws given with drinks. cheese burger crap. wraps cold. not clean. not friendly. no customer service. never go again.

Chicken was chewy and not tasted nice but I was very hungry and had it like that. I do not recommend to anyone this place. I know it’s fast food but let the food to be cooked properly before serving it to us. Very disappointed won’t go back at all.

Went yesterday, place was a shambles, queues everywhere, staff haven't a clue what they're doing, no one in charge or control, I ordered a cheeseburger and got something completely different, come on mcdonalds get your act together

My local McDonald's is brilliant. Never need to look in the bag as it's always correct. It's clean, fast and friendly. This one is not any of these things. All the cliches about the place hold true here and it's a step away from ghastly. Drive through queue was massive so parked up, ordered inside on screen to take away after trying 3 which had frozen. The place packed full of teens on phones at uncleared tables with nowhere else to go. Food not rushed out. Collected order and left pronto, all bins outside overflowing and local youths in car park smoking gear with their girlfriends around their gtis. Whilst driving away found parts of order missing. Such a basic error, so always check your bags before you leave people. Won't be back here ever

I drive for work and this is the worst MacDonalds I've ever used.

Clean and tidy. Standard McDonald’s food but staff happy and confident. Love the wraps and the frappe. Always good for a small or large meal.

As much as this is a nice restaurant, it is simply the same as any other McDonalds, just a different location and different staff. But it’s still a nice place

When it gets busy in here, it is like a war zone. Total chaos and completely understaffed. There is simply not enough staff to copy with the amount of business.

Quite simply, read every negative review about this restaurant and double it, can only be compared to an old saloon bar in the wild west. The management have lost control of the staff. As for cleanliness can the authorities give a minus rating, if so this place should have it. Unfortunately Mcdonalds have got it totally wrong with this one. Needs pulling down and start again with a completely new management team.

Only the drive through was open - restaurant closed due to unforeseen circumstances which transpired to be a group of staff arriving late.

Late night visit. You know what you are getting with McDonalds in terms of food. Service was pretty good and the restaurant was tasteful.

Ordered my food came without selects in the bag but didn’t really matter bcos hubby ordered extra nuggets so had them in stead forgot to put in my sweet chilli dip and gave me a coke instead of Diet Coke and chips were white and soggy not a good experience

Somewhere in the world there is a fool that thinks he or she is improving Mcdonald's restaurants by making them ultra modern and utterly impersonal. My first experience of the new 'service' was at their restaurant on the A13 at Dagenham. I stopped going there from that day and the same will apply here, despite having used this drive through for many many years both solo and as a family. Awful, and if that's the way they are going, when can we expect robots at the counter. Fast is good, fast and a chat better.

Slowest drive through in the history of drive thru.Never again will I wait so long for a hash brown.

First visit since the refurb and it's worse than ever.

Was good quick service as you want however because it was busy and there were lots of other cars around the man on the microphone could not hear us very well so make sure you're clear and loud to get the right food

Mc Donalds is Mc Donalds! fast and does the job, when your hungry or in a hurry, the staff were working hard in dealing with queues of people, so didn't have to wait long, easy to find on the ground floor, plenty of seats,

9 out of 10 times they claim the ice machine is broken and they dont have ice for their customers, this be it winter or summer so you ask for a refund and ice comes out of nowhere! Yesterday I had pancakes cold as ice and hard as rubber. Today I asked for fresh pancakes but it was the same rubber and cold consistency as yesterday, the syrup was also cold and they forgot to put butter on my bag. I drove back through and requested a refund. The assitant manager Amanda said that these are coojed on the microwave and Mcds pancakes are not fresh..Funny how other mcds restaurants sell hot and what feel as fresh pancakes. This Macdonalds is well fall well below expectations to nearby fast food restaurants. Food usually cold and managers indifferent at whats cooking or served!! (Written sitting in my car at their parking following my request for a refund)

Granted I was tired and hungry having driven pretty much nonstop from Austria and was looking for quick sustenance having come through the tunnel at Folkestone, but I was very underwhelmed by the lakeside Maccy Ds tonightStaff sullen and made no effort at pleasantness not to mention eye contactBig Mac tepidFries bore no resemblance to a crispy fried potato product whatsoever - soggy, limp and again tepidBins over flowing in car parkRoom for improvement me thinks

Found this very small and pokey. As seems to be the norm these days with McDonalds no staff to clear and clean the tables.Nothing worse than trying to balance a tray and clear away someone elses mess.

It's my local McDonalds and the only problem there is the wait to be served and it has a play area for kids which is good and Samsung tablets

We visited today for breakfast... should have been called dinner. We arrived at 10.20 am. Our food arrived at 10.55. Chaos. Had to return it as 2 orders wrong. Another 5 minutes to sort. Sat down to eat mine to find my bagel was exactly that... a bagel. No sausage or cheese or egg. Back again for another 10 minutes. They need to get rid of the order machines as you can't see there are 100 people in the queue. Lots of people asked for refunds. Will defo not go to lakeside again. No management available to complain to just kids serving.

The cleaners here especially Maria deserve a medal. Parents seem to take their children here to let off steam and themselves off the hook. They let the children run around and scream while they ignore the pleas of the staff to stop them running up and down or they are rude to them. The food is ok as are the other staff members but I think they should close the so called play area as it is more like cage fighting.If you go here take ear defenders or eat in your car.

Very efficient in delivering hot food but rubbish customer service what ever happen to service with a smile ??? Also no would u like any sauces with ur meal I had to ask to be rudely response what do u want...... need training

Late night McFlurry was the order of the early hours, drive through was smooth and order was dispatched with minimal fuss. Will return again!

What a pathetic shambles. My last ever visit as less staff = less service and a very long wait for a very dry burger! Shocking.

Popped for our evening meal and my God how noisy ws it.There is always a queue in here but they do get through the customers fairly quickly.The down side is the kids play area which is in supervised by either staff or especially parents.The screaming was painful with two groups of kids taunting each other and resulting in throwing whatever they could find at each other. The final straw was a 4ish year old saying he was going to stab another kid.Still no parents appeared.Be warned!

Have visited this outlet on several occasions for both 'eat in' and 'drive through' Food always hot and delivered fast even at busy times.

Standard McDonalds however drive through service quick and food always hot. Forgot to ask for sauce and couldn't go back which was annoying. Have visited inside previously and it's a very clean branch, even the toilets don't have that usual smell that McDonalds loos usually have.

This particular branch has recently been modernised and is plenty big enough. Situated just off of the M25, near the Dartford crossing, it has plenty of car parking spaces front and rear. It caters for dine-in, take-away and drive-through. Inside there is a small soft play area for the little ones, and also an area where the latest iPads have been installed for free use. Friendly staff and quick service make for a pleasant enough experience.

If we visit Lakeside early in the morning we usually pop in here for breakfast!As always, the staff are friendly a chatty too!Usually a very good value menu at a friendly price.Their cappuccinos are very good too!

On our way home and fancied a McFlurry and an Ice Cream. Went through the drive through and got them.

This McDonald's is always very good when ever I go here. Very friendly staff it can be a little bit cramped to get round if you are disabled go that is the only downside to the restaurant.

Virtually every McDonalds i've been in is just a clone of the last. The food is exactly the same wherever you end up.We take our autistic son into this one as a treat occassionally and the ipads set up on some of the tables really make his day.If you have kids with short attention spans then this is ideal as it gives the adults plenty of time to enjoy your food while the kids get their fix of chicken nuggets and Angry Birds

Dry burger rolls.several tables left uncleared.only 1 till open with about 8 people waiting to be served . Most staff seemed to be prepping the food.

Visited here to buy my lunch. Nice happy customer service team. Attended to quickly. Very modern and clean environment . Recently refurbished obviously.

Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Good atmosphere, but increasingly over the months, you have to wait and wait to be served.

Renovated a while ago so is nice & clean & airy with a kids play place. Car parking is a bit of a pain. It's very strategic & if you miss a space you have to follow the route all the way around to get back to it...in the meantime someone else will no doubt of jumped in!Staff are friendly & toilets are clean.

This is hardly fast-food. I queued for nearly 30 minutes for a burger. There was only 1 person serving with over twenty people waiting to be served.

THe cleaniness, the food, the customer service, the wait and the atmosphere was all very good. Recommendable and very enjoyable meal.

Went there today Sunday with my son, we requested two Big Mac meals and coffee. The new system wax chaos like being at Argos. Our number was called and when we went to the counter we were told it wasn't ready, after a while we were given our meal to go on a tray. After explaining our order it was poured into bag. When checked the burgers were cold ant the coffee half filled. I took it back to wait for a further meal and order. The coffee was now cold. I won't be going back the new system stinks long live Burger KingMacdonalds has lost its flare

Okay it's a Mcdonalds, but the service was fast, the food fresh and the staff polite efficient and friendly.

What I like about this Macdonalds over others is the staff are very friendly,we always go with our 6 year old son and every time we have been in there he is always offered a balloon. Doesn;t sound alot to an adult maybe but the children love them,the food is always served quickly here and always hot. We had to wait for a meal to be cooked the other day and only had to wait a few minutes and our meal was brought over and the lady was so happy and smiley and apologised for the delay. Service with a smile not something you find very often!!

Popped past here on a hot Sunday afternoon for a milkshake using the drive thru. Drinks were fun, lady at both windows were happy, so overall very good.

Time we waited no big tasty no milkshakes and no cheese bites when I did get to order he said "would you like any thing els" yes but it's all out of STOCK! Cola flat and like water

I usually come here before dropping my nephew back to school after hospital and sometimes the queues are very long and the food can be a little cold sometimes. However, the prices are reasonable and it has saved me a lot of money! Staff are friendly and happy!

Lakeside good spot for kids due to iPads and climbing play area. Great value and time well spent. If you want happy kids and value then this the place

I get caught by the Grand Children half a dozen times a year for this "treat" - I use the word loosely. I have to endure my sensitivities being assaulted, by screaming, unruly kids, served by people whose indifference knows no bounds, in surroundings described as untidy to say the least. I imagine that the Waiting Room for Hell would have a similar effect on me.So it was with resigned trepidation, I entered this Establishment expecting to be greeted by the sign "Abandon Hope All Ye who Enter Here" - But what a pleasant surprise - It was clean & tidy, plenty of children there but all well behaved, the queue for service was controlled with an usher, the server was polite & efficient, food served correctly & quickly - The area constantly patrolled by staff ensuring tidiness, & chatting to customers.I don't know if this particular Branch was as it was due to its' location, branch management, or by a concerted effort by McDonalds to raise the bar. Whatever, it worked!.The food was at the standard you would expect at a very good price (you do know what to expect), & whereas I would normally expect a disappointing experience at McDonalds, this was very positive, and would certainly re-visit.
