Decent chippy here, clean. £16 for 2 large chips and 2 battered sausages is a disgrace of a price but where isn't these days

Was my go to, chip shop, but last few times I've used it , been very disappointed. Barely a handfull of chips each portion, last time I use this shop

Do not waste your time. These spoke always turn up with missing items and then tell you sorry they cannot do anything about it

After getting some food today I will not be going back again, it’s always been the chip shop we go to when we have a take out, the prices have gone up and portion sizes are getting smaller. £3.55 for a portion of chips, there wasn’t enough chips to feed a sparrow, absolute rip off!!!

Every Monday and Tuesday from 16:00 they do an extensive gluten free menu and have separate sections to prepare it to ensure there’s no cross contamination.

I was very disappointed, usually the food is tasty and delicious, but this time the batter on my fish was hard and dry. Usually it's light and crispy. It felt as if it had been in the warm cabinet for a long time. However the delivery was quick and the delivery man was very pleasant. I had just got home from a long drive and was looking forward to my meal. Disappointed.

The chips were not cooked properly and were slimy. Both pies were rock hard on the lid of the pies, which came off and were not edible.

Could not rate this place higher. Friendly and helpful staff. Have had experiences where we have been in the wrong (door not answered by silly child) and they have (items forgotten) and they have always gone over and above by offering fresh food and sincere apologies. Will definitely come back.

I was not impressed with the food. It wasn’t fresh. It was cold. Both sausage and chips, I didn’t expect this as the delivery was quick.

Can’t believe I just paid £5 for a bowl full of chips. Disgraceful portion size for that price, times are hard I get that but this was laughable. We won’t be back any time soon and I would advise everyone else to avoid this place and there sky high prices

6.45pm I went into this shop 4 people were in front of me waiting to be served whilst deliveroo drivers were coming in and served straight away leaving customers just waiting , 2 youngsters were serving and 1 frying , customers were getting annoyed that the only fish in the display was skate, they never asked everyone at first what fish etc to put in on to cook while you was waiting to be served , 30 minutes later I was served !!!!!! You might think well you had fresh fish n chips cooked for you, but the fish was dripping in oil so not pleasant , I thought this chip shop was meant to be the best in ockendon but not any more that’s probably my last visit

Absolutely amazing service by an amazing lady today (17.02) at 12:35. So helpful and made me spend more than I wanted to!! So not only a great help but a great person to push the brand!

Unfortunately the woman behind the counter was very rude to my husband. He stood there for 10 minutes in an empty shop before anyone behind the counter acknowledged him. When he dared to approach the counter for service the woman just barked at him; 'I've got 20 tickets here'. Not 'really sorry for the wait, what can I get you?" as you would generally expect from any decent proprietor. He waited almost 25 mins for just one small bag of chips, which he was charged £5.40 for. The portion was pitiful and the chips were dry. This business clearly prioritises online orders over actual real life customers in their shop. Don't expect a quick or polite service if you pop in ad hoc. You'd think people would care more about their local businesses and actually be nice to customers who walk in, not be rude and then overcharge. Disappointing.

Ordered large chips and they was smaller then small and the chicken had no flavour and the sausage in batter was just creasy and not crispy like it normally is.

Had many a meal from this store, but latest home delivery was a bit of a mixture, and not such a cheap one. Half roast chicken was very nice with plenty of meat, albeit a bit oily. But the chips were awful. Certainly not 'golden' in fact so anemic they looked barely cooked and almost all of it went in the bin. Know this place can do better, but with the cost of everything now days, can't afford to be throwing food away.

I ordered from here using uber eats last week. I ordered chicken and chips. Omg the chicken was nasty. It tasted like Mackerel fish. It had definitely been fried in oil used to fry fish severally. It was also very greasy and dripping with oil. I was so hungry so managed to eat the chips but the chicken was awful. Had to throw it away.
