McDonald's in Shropshire

Josh the assistant manger is rude cocky and needs dealing with today with my wife. will be taken further my mate don’t worry when you read this I’ll be coming to see you soon and your manager Looking forward to meeting you Josh 20 pound order get home to half a milkshake mainly bubbles and no straws! Rang to complain offered a replacement milk shake 😂😂😂 I’ve just drove 8 miles to get my family’s tea and 8 miles back that’s all he could offer a supposed MANAGER! Tea wrecked! Waste of money!

Very friendly my granddaughter going she gets on with the girls they make her day and my little dog like her treat when we go the drive threw they really look after u ❤

One of the most horrendous experiences in my life. I came to visit the restaurant with my partner the other day and it was the biggest mistake ever. The entire place is so unorganised, firstly the staff mixed my orders witch someone else, when they finally managed to sort it out after a 10 minute wait I still ended up getting the wrong drink which I have ordered. Constantly had to listen to the screams of children and staff arguing in the kitchen, one of the worst things that could happen especially to my hearing disability. In the end, my partner had decided to order one of the iconic icecreams they advertise all over the media, this once again ended up getting mixed up with a different order. Hopefully next time I wont have to wait 20 minutes to get a right order and still end up having cold food. Thank you Mcdonalds. 👍

No issues with our meal here. Easy to order, food was delivered quickly and with a smile, order was correct and everyone enjoyed what they had. Eating space was clean, toilets were clean, there's a small outside play area and some tablets inside for children. Dining area was quite small and all tables taken when we'd arrived but fortunately they cleared quickly after we'd made our order.

Good McDonald's very helpful and friendly staff. Came over and offered to clean the table, brought kids some colouring and crayons. The food was quick, good, and hot. There is a drive through as well.

Ordered 5 Chicken selects and got mozzarella straws instead, manager can refund if I return I live half an hour away not Linley to return for refund of £8 it’llcost me more in fuel.

I have never had an issue here. Ordered at the terminals for table service. All burgers were hot and fresh. All fries hot. Mozzarella sharing box all hot, as good as it gets

Constant churn of staff, some excellent, others, not so. Never been to a McDonald's that has so many issues with milkshakes and mcflurries (machine seems to spend half it's life broken), sauces is hit and miss regardless of what you ask for and generally it's just not what you expect. Feel sorry for the staff as some of the servers really do try hard, are very polite and helpful and others make Marvin look positively ecstatic.

A reasonably new McDonalds, we ordered food for the whole family and sat outside as the weather was good. Food was general McDonalds fare, unfortunately though the wife's big mac wasn't particularly warm. This seems to be an ongoing issue at McDonalds across the land. One of the employees who was clearing up outside asked us if everything was ok, and upon telling him about said cold burger, he just stuttered and asked if we wanted any more sauces! It's a sorry state of affairs that this sort of service is expected nowadays....

Ignored us at the drive thru so we had to go to first window. Food was ok. Asked for a vanilla milkshake.... Think they threw everything in it. Was disgusting

As often seems to be the case, the ice cream machine was broken so no McFlurries to be had. My burger was dry but my wife's was OK. Good news is that the restaurant is powered by solar and wind power.

Come here for food and always seems to have no milkshake, the coke 🤢 like more syrup then anything, doesn't taste nice, staff though friendly and cannot fault them at all, just shame about the food,

Really quick, friendly service. I am really sad about the removal of the sour cream and chive dip from the menu, but that's not Market Drayton's fault 😢

We were passing through and stopped for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and service in this branch. Probably, of all the McDonald's I've been to in England, this one gets the highest rating from me.

Breakfast is always amazing, evening is awful, there's always something, last time food was cold and old, this time the mccrispy was raw in the middle

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food took long and arrived cold but issue resolved quickly and the place is new so we should give them a chance. The views were lovely and it has great parking. It was also very clean and hygienic. Update: From my most recent experience the food is now warm just like other McDonald's restaurants and is delicious and service is much better! Highly recommend this place as it is interesting!

Came here a few times around 10pm, usually two members of staff on, takes around 5 minutes to take an order on drive thru, 20 mins to get payment taken, further 15 minutes to get food.Baring in my i’ve been the only car in the drive thru.Appalling, may aswell go in there myself and make my own food.Dont reccomend

This is the slowest and worst McDonald’s outlet I have ever ever used. The drive thru is painfully slow and 50% of the time the food is wrong. I don’t bother now

Visited market Drayton branch this evening Waited 7 mins to even give our order at the drive through then had to wait 20 mins in the drive through for one burger absolute joke of a place , never have milkshakes or promotional items which are always out of stock stay well away of desperate travel to Whitchurch !

Absolutely worst McDonald’s in the country can’t even get the simplest orders correct hardly any staff and foods always cold give your heads a wobble and pull your fingers out

Despite some poor reviews, I've always had a positive experience here: friendly staff, well presented food, the food is as hot as McDonald's food gets, tasty and good value for money.

Just been through the drive through at macdonalds in market Drayton. Very friendly staff and food usually very good. I pick up 2 customised cheeseburgers for my father who is in a care home a few minutes drive from there. Usually come twice a week to macdonalds for him. Today the one burger had no top on it. Didn’t realise until I arrived at the home. He was very disappointed because he was unable to hold it so he could eat it.

Food was ok and nice and hot but they had no sparkling soft drinks for some reason. Service was a bit slow but perhaps they had a lot of online orders. The place looks a bit scruffy, especially as it is a dairly new store. I would go there again but its not the best Macdonalds i've been to.

Twice I’ve had to sit in here for hours waiting for my car to be sorted at a garage down the road. The staff are so welcoming and lovely. Feel comfortable staying in here for periods of time. Loads of parking. Always clean. Food is so fresh.

Called here on a Tuesday afternoon off peak. A fairly new McDonald's outlet, so its relatively clean, tidy and well decorated. Food was hot. Staff were friendly and welcoming. EV chargers are available here too. Ample parking available.

Slow never got any milkshake staff Carnt be bothered

The service is so slow that I think they are breeding, and growing the animals for each order. And my large fries was half empty. It would be actually be faster to drive to Whitchurch maccies, order, eat and come back to Drayton. If you can't get a decent flow in the kitchen even being a new branch, you either need better training or better managers. Updated march 2024 Wait times have gotten a lot better and generally orders are correct, however, ordered a big Mac right that only had a single burger in it...

I thought it was meant to be fast food

Very clean, staff efficient no problems, injoyed it.

The taste between the 20 chicken nuggets and the 6 chicken buckets have 2 complete different tastes,sometimes they forget to give you your sauces,and nearly always get my order wrong,I ask for a hamburger with just ketchup but they give me everything but ketchup and sometimes they give you no straw(s) with your drink(s)

We'd planned to eat at the local Morrisons café, but that was shut, and we couldn't find anywhere else that looked decent; so as a last resort, we ate in at this branch of McDonald's. Now, living in Whitchurch, we have first hand experience of a badly managed, slow, disorganised branch, so we approached Market Drayton's version with a sense of trepidation. Well our fears were not realised: the food was hot, plentiful, and tasty, and the service quick and professional. There was fairly modern pop music being played, but it wasn't too loud. I can see that other reviewers haven't had such a good experience, and ours may have been a one-off, but we'll certainly go there again on the basis of our first visit.

System down on arrival so couldn't even order a coffee. No issue with staff obviously and can't comment on food and drink. And store was emptying on arrival so can't rate atmosphere

Always good what more is there to say

Large fries were only half full and the coke was flat. Only thing which saved this going lower was the raspberry and white chocolate pies so so good

As usual it's McDonalds at their very best, ordered a drive thru cheeseburger! That's it, nothing else a cheesebuger. Told to park on the waiting bay 30 minute wait for a cheesebuger.

When we went it was quite quiet. Saturday night. Plenty of parking.. bins were quite full though.

I'm not sure who is managing this place bit where's the food. Ordered a simple breakfast and sat waiting 20 mins later and no food. Looking around everyone the same. Its meant to be fast food! Appears to lack proper management.

I have called in about 5 times in the last 3 months and the ice cream and milkshake has been off every time. Ridiculous.

Worst mc muffin I have ever had roll has rock hard (overcooked)hash brown soggy,full of oil,this isn't the first time either I have visited this place won't be going back .

The slowest drive thru I have ever come across. Ended up driving off after waiting for 5 mins for someone to take payment.

Absolutely appaling service ordered a coffee & McFlurry waited 20 minutes in McDonald’s . The five other people in front of me given wrong orders . Will never come here again. The staff are more interested in the drive thru. You might as well close the main eating area , I felt we were treated like second class citizens .you need to get your act sorted !

29 minutes to get 2 veg deluxe 2 cheese burgers 2 6 nuggets and 2 mini ice creams. What a joke.

Grim. Place dirty and food cold. Music cranked up its like a disco. Manager stomping about shouting....hardly customer friendly. Place is appalling. Should have realised before I came in as no body is here and Place is deserted. Can't believe this place survives. Definitely avoid at all costs and find somewhere else to eat. I'd rather eat my own leg.

There is rarely milkshakes available at this branch in two weeks I’ve tried on different days and different times and none available!!!!!!!! Unbelievable it’s as though there discontinued!!!!!

Absolutely grim! McDonald’s need to address their franchises. And their own complaints policy and procedures. Machine out of paper and no order number to go with. 19 orders one grill chef, really didn’t know what she was doing, nor did the second serving. Manager and “her crew” were ignoring the front cleaner whilst chatting amongst themselves and a non purchasing manager of public. Filthy dirty, inner cupboard shelves blown mdf, there’s no point using hygiene spray on absorbent surfaces. Kitchen surfaces were equally filthy, staff were shambolic, food was burnt, hash browns and coffee both stiff and cold, toilets filthy, Manager was disrespectful to the first degree. Totally disregarded my honest and genuine complaint, then got “nasty”, effectively taking the Mickey. I videoed but all contain expletives from me, so I won’t post. I’m an involuntarily retired former chef with an unblemished hygiene record. Finally, exiting the car park which was littered and equally filthy, not de-iced, too sharp a bend. Ormskirk beware!

Regular local customer - AVOID. Absolutely random if you get what you order. Always unclean. Sometimes food is cold. Common to wait at least 15mins with no queue, then food to be cold and wrong - this is the worst! Kids projector game broken for months. Staff so unpleasant it is a shock when one is helpful. Lately see no food being done and staff loudly stood around laughing and joking near drive through windows. This is a new premises that is NEVER bustling like other McDonalds and yet staff can’t handle making food, keeping it clean, and being pleasant. It is so tatty it looks like a motorway service station and yet is the FLAGSHIP eco store.

I've been waiting 20 minutes for my food and I'm still waiting,service is very slow. You come in here because it looks good but no. I recommend going to a different McDonald's.

Hate it, hate working there, hate eating the food, made me feel sick, staff always shouting at me for making mistakes I haven’t been taught for certain things. No staff are helpful, I feel lonely and depressed working here, mostly tired of the way I’m being treated and disrespected by the staff for not knowing what I was doing because I never got taught a certain job they are making me do. I’m tired of this place, my mental health has been effected by this job. It’s causing me stress and my mood has changed badly.

Have been here a few times now Food has been always late. Last time was a 25min wait just for a single triple cheese burger that was cold. Today they practically run out of nearly half the menu. So ended up with nothing 😒. During my wait I could see into the kitchen and the floor was absolutely disgusting. I have been to many maccy d's during my travels around the UK and would dare to say this is the worst mcdonalds in the UK. I will be travelling further out to whitchurch in future from market drayton

We visited but the restaurant has very few tables now, so there was nowhere to sit.

Expensive for low quality food and the electriccar charging pount is the most expensive I have ever used

No matter what you order its never served up as you ask.

Got the order wrong and as you drive away look at your order was three miles away before looking at it

I ordered once and they messed up and a month later I order the same thing again and they still mess it up. There was also a hair in my food.

Pop into here once / twice a month and the staff are so friendly and polite . Food is always hot and customer service is the best. Well done to you all you are a lovely happy crew and its always a pleasure to visit

Very friendly staff. Short wait for food, don't mind that if it's hot and fresh which it was. Had the Big Tasty with bacon and it was really tasty indeed.

There is always something missing

I ordered 2 deli of the day wrap meals which were sweet chilli, they took forever and as soon as I received my food , the chicken was raw. They did rectify the problem later but service does need to improve

It's just McDonald's. Nothing special. Just too much automation. 9pm on a Saturday night, with 6 people in the place. What do you want.

It's good that you can park in any space as each one is numbered. So if using the the app they will bring it to your car. Sometimes the order is wrong so check before leaving.

Goodness me. How lovely was the lady that served us on Monday 30th October approximately 10am on the drive through. She went above and beyond. What a breath of fresh air!

Maccy Dee's Market Drayton. The best one I've visited. Clean and the staff are friendly. A play frame for the kids and a garden part to take the dog into 👍

The atmosphere of this drive thru is simply exceptional. Wind down your windows and you can enjoy the carcinogens from the diesel-fuelled idiot in front of you. Other than that silly reflection on google's rating system, we use this place a lot and I think there is new management in place. Food is hot and tasty (for a Maccys), the order is always spot on and speed of service is excellent. It makes the App truly useful and efficient. Nice one guys.

Very quiet as it was 5.30am. Ladies toilets needed a clean. Bacon flatbread partner ordered was still frozen but we had left by then so wasn't worth turning back. Member of staff that served us was very welcoming and friendly. I think if it is a 24 hour restaurant then there is time to ensure the cleaning is done.

Food was piping hot, staff asking if enjoying the food etc. The whole place is spotlessly clean too.

This is the best McDonald's in Shropshire about 30 mins from Smallthorne. Staff friendly food hot fresh and tasty, toilets and restaurant spotless

20 mins in the drive thru queue for a coffee !!! Once you are in the queue you cannot get out!!

Very slow service, both at Drive Thru and in restaurant itself. Not exactly busy when we were there ; but still 20 minutes for food. Need to up their game if staying in the world of "Fast Food"

Went for just a coffee. Lady who was mopping floor was really friendly. Had really good conversation with her. Whole place spotless.

Burgers come cold, orders never correct, burgers all squashed. Not just on one visit either most visits. Fries always good though.
