McDonald's in South Somerset

Very helpful staff lovely little place

Only stopped in for a shake and to add Flushings Meadow to the database having visited Lysander Road for a breakfast and another time for a McPlant as relatively local. Very friendly service and the lady came out to chat. A relatively new McD to the scene that could do with a bit of a boost. Good location near Matalan roundabout and nice seating area outside. Will need a revisit .

Just like any other Maccy D, although this is next to a sewage plant which adds atmosphere.

Food had obviously been left out under the lights for a while as it was dry and luke warm. Place was full of unpleasant, unruly children. Service was adequate but not welcoming.

A pretty sad place to eat in - the self serve machines are not giving receipts, and no milkshakes or McFlurries available. A crushing disappointment - this is not a genuine McDonald's experience at all.

Amanda is a real asset to the team here, as soon as we walked in with our two year old she made a conscious effort to find somewhere for us to sit and also provide some bits to entertain our daughter, regular check ins which is something you just don’t get anymore! thanks for your great service amanda it’s truly appreciated!

I had a lovely breakfast and coffee to start the day off.

It's a McDonalds. What can you say? It is a newer one and is clean and tidy. The staff were surprisingly friendly at this one. Not too much of a wait, either. I do like the order at screens option in the restaurant.

Seriously slow, orders wrong and cold food.

Poor service. Always end up waiting longer at this outlet over others.

2nd time to this Mcdonalds, used the drive thru this time around. Fast effective service with a smile. Was a little busy but it was Saturday night after all!

Ordered food online then arrived at restaurant Was then met at store door to be told pick up was only via a restricted height drive thru Which is unusable as in a minibus A brand that spends millions on adverts but zero on customer service NICE?

This is now the 3rd time food has arrived COLD from this restaurant. It makes me look bad when I constantly have to complain to JustEat

Well what can I say; I waited 50mins for my order and when it arrived it was stone cold, even the McFlurry had completely melted and the same with the milkshake, so most of this ended up not eaten, like I said I waited 50mins for delivery but was annoyed as app kept showing food was being prepared, and delivery time changing, so I stupidly assumed was going to be hot or at least warm, will never buy from there again!!

Like others have said, would give 0 if I could. Orders never right, service is long, the burger looked atrocious and has definitely made my partner and I ill for the last two days. Worst place!!

Still nice n hot delivery very efficient and polite service , could have done with at least one serviette though to wipe my chops! Apart from that, thanks for a great breakfast

I wish I could give no stars to this place the staff can not read and can not get your order correct I phoned up to complain about missing items as due to getting a brekkie as a treat for the family and to have it completely messed up due to staff not being able to read or double check the items before being handed over for delivery learn how to do your job properly full refund only given when I visit the shop well what can I say I get delivery due to not able to drive due to epilepsy and now I have to find a way to get to McDonald’s just to get my refund I’m only like this now due to 4 other times this has happened in the past poor poor poor service made the manager read my order out over the phone so i at least knew 1 person nos how to read so if management did their job properly ensuring all items are in the bag before it was sent out to be delivered so the manager did not do her job properly by checking order was complete before being sent out after I made her prove to me she actually can read no excuses for this mess up

Food was okay but delivery driver was so rude and had so much attitude. Absolutely shocking behaviour. Won’t even ring the buzzer and demanding us to go down and just spoke disgustingly.

Over loud youths on something upsetting the customers sat down wanting nothing but to eat there with their children in peace, the atmosphere volatile, and fearing. What a sad end to a beautiful evening. The staff tried to manage the situation but don't have a foot to stand on and previous need of police the ailed then miserably. Sadly due to the fuss these two youths caused they ruined orders and caused people to leave earlier than planned they should be ashamed but drink/drugs and McDonalds aren't a fair mix for other diners. Give your staff security guards they deserve it and so do your customers. We don't pay for food and fear we pay to enjoy ourselves

Absolutely shocking service! 30mins wait for a simple kids meal saying they are very busy when there are only a handful of people in, everyone waiting, wouldn't come here again unless you want to waste 2hours of your life waiting for Medioca food when it finally arrives! Toilets are filthy, ladies weren't even open!!

Today, I was at the shop and I witness a very rude and aggressive behavior from the manager on duty. It was about 4:40 pm. There was a delivery driver waiting more than 1 hour to pick up his delivery order. The delivery driver ask the manager what is the reason for taking so long and instead of giving an apology for the long delay he started shouting and swearing at the delivery driver. The manager become very aggressive towards the delivery driver. I was with my kids and this is so disappointing and frustrating seeing this situation.

I requested cheese be removed that was ignored dietary requirements are not a joke

Utterly slow and always forget to put the food in. I'm particularly angry tonight as I have order through the app and yet again food hadn't been placed in the sealed bags. I cannot reach the phone to this branch and neither can I successfully contact customer service to request either my money back or a burger which I have paid for yet not received. This is not a uber problem it's a restaurant problem and I have no way of getting recompense. Avoid.

Didn’t contain the dips AGAIN! No straw for the drink, and the burger had stuff in there that I asked Not to have. The Fries and Nuggets were PERFECT as Always and the Banana Shake was Heavenly as Always. 6.5 out of 10.

McMuffin was cold, like totally cold. it's come from 5 minutes down the road. no wonder they need staff, the current staff are not good.

I was offered a new product but it was pathetic two cheeseburgers (tiny compressed and freezing cold) a serving of fries so pathetically small that a two year old was crying for more. I had to give my dinner (a Big Mac) to the children as they were still hungry. The two cheeseburgers were not £1.50 worth and the 12 skinny fries at nearly 10p a piece made this a shocking rip off. Just Eat were stand up about it refunding £4, but it still leaves someone who has food issues with no dinner tonight.

Every single night I have come here - "sorry the system is updating we can't take any orders" no sign in the drive thru. Nothing. One or two nights I can understand but it seems to be every time I go. If you can't take orders at night then don't be a 24 hour branch.

So slow, the place was virtually empty and we waited over half hour for food. It wasn't that warm either.

Terrible!!! Food was expected at 5.10, arrived at 5.40.. I kept an eye on the live updates on the map and the driver was parked in kfc car park for over half an hour.. due to this food was FREEZING! Ordered banana milkshake and was sent strawberry?! Just dreadful service all round! Not worth the money what a waste of my money!

Order was incorrect, it happens a lot at the Sherborne Road maccies. They clearly don’t look at the order sheet because we got 3 of the same burgers and two chocolate shakes instead of 1 choc 1 banana

EVERY TIME THEY FORGET THE SAUCE! 20p must add up for you - every person that buys sauce and you don’t add it.

Portions are very small and not always fresh

Sat in the click and collect bay for half an hour waiting for food .. not the first time and always get forgotten about in this part. Food was cold.

Stopped in after a long drive with our 4 year old son , staff members Orla especially and a man called rich were incredible with my boy Orla went out of her way to encourage my son to be confident speaking to adults he wanted to know what toys they have and he is otherwise very shy. They were fantastic. Food was quick and hot. And the restaurant was very clean and the toilets were probably the best in Somerset . They were spotless. My son said he can't wait to come back again. Such a wonderful family atmosphere they provide well done guys and thankyou for your enthusiasm!!! ....

Thought it was going to be busy with it being the first day of the school holidays, and although it was busy, we got our food very quick and it was very nice and very fresh. Great visit all round

Delivery food is always cold. Never received all items and always forget the dips which is paid for. To call and make sure delivery is right they never answer the phone.

Believe me, if I could give a 0 I would. Absolutely horrible, the worst McDonald’s in the country I wholeheartedly believe. A big majority of people even go to sparkford or Wincanton over coming here! Never ever order delivery from this franchise. 99% of the time half the order or more doesn’t arrive. Absolutely shocking. Should sack all their staff and have a whole revamp, if you can’t follow the order details correctly and check that it’s all correct then there must be a lack of intelligence between all staff. Even if you do get your order best believe, your Big Mac buns won’t arrive either! Shocking.

They never, ever get the order right! Food is thrown together, practically have to re-make it yourself, can guarantee that something will always missing or not what asked for. Got to be the worst McDonalds in the country.

Literally gross, dirty tables and stuff littered on the floors. Forgot a whole meal off my order and then it wasn't made properly, another burger was missing a patty after we ordered the hat trick burger and got basically a cheeseburger disappointing to say the least for the cost of it all

Missing sauces for a large order. Called to ask and restaurant unwilling to send any out or offer anything in return other than a bog stands 'sorry'. Very poor customer service. Will unlikely order from again.

How difficult is it to make a burger the way the customer wants? Asked for extra onions and pickles on my order... ended up with NONE. No straws sent out with the milkshakes, no sauces sent with chicken selects box (2 of which weren't cooked properly).... this seems to be a common occurrence at this branch

I ordered a chicken sharebox, which says it comes with three dips but they insisted it is two and charged me for a third dip. lt specifically states three on their sign and website and the receipt shows that they selected “no dip” before charging me for a third dip. The food is ok, not the best mcdonalds not the worst but staff need to learn their menu it’s only 50p for sauce but it’s the principle of being charged for something that comes with my meal. Furthermore, the dip I paid for was left out of my order so I got home and found I paid for free dip I didn’t even receive. Ridiculous.

Had 2 cheeseburgers and a coke. Cheeseburgers edible but Coke was warm with no ice so poured it away. Not the usual standard you get elsewhere.

Ordered on app - item out of stock, but not notified. Staff seem disinterested/discontent. Numerous staff - not attentive/bored. Food presentation embarrassing. Toilet facilities poor. Poor general management.

Worst drive through iv ever used. Visited at 7.15 in tge morning. Dive up to the window to be given my coffee and then told to drive to the next window, ok not a problem, just waiting for a sausage egg Mc muffin. Sat waiting for ever, even managed to drink all of my coffee while waiting? Crazy wait. After around 10 minutes i shouted through the window and eventually got my food. Don't recommend this one, use the other one in Yeovil.

Nice hot food and good availability of food on the menu. Lewis was exceptionally helpful and friendly, not at all judgemental or impatient whilst we decided what to order. He is a fine example of what a customer service assistant should be. Thank you 🤩

I ordered an extra sausage patty but it wasn't there and there was huge piece of egg shell in the muffin, so I couldn't finish eating it. very disappointed

Sat in the drive through and have been for the last 20 minutes. When I enquired about the length of time and informed the employee that my McFlurrys were all but liquid. I was told by your employee that 20 minutes isn’t long and the food needed to be cooked. The window was then immediately shut and he walked away. Unacceptable behaviour. Ordered at 2308. Manager came at 2333 to inform me my food would be sorted. Finally get food at 2338 and it’s barely warm because half of it’s been sat on the counter for 20+mins. Service absolutely appalling. *Update - after all that they even got the burger wrong - honestly useless*

They didn’t deliver it now I have to wait 7 days
