McDonald's in Wakefield

Honestly, our trip to that McDonald's in Westgate, Wakefield, was just awful. The food was freezing cold, like it had been sitting around for ages. And the people working there? They just couldn't be bothered. Not a single smile between them, and they acted like we were annoying them just by being there. The tables were disgusting. We actually had to wipe one down ourselves because it was so sticky and dirty. Then, when we needed napkins, there weren't any out, and nobody seemed to care. I had to reach over other empty tables to grab some myself – it was ridiculous. And get this – someone else actually asked a staff member to wipe a table. This bloke was tucking into what looked like a proper three-course dinner at 6 in the evening, like we were interrupting his fancy meal! He huffed and puffed, reached into his back pocket, pulled out the grubbiest rag you've ever seen (honestly, it looked like it had been down a drain), gave the table a quick smear, and then went right back to his food. Unbelievable. My kids were really freaked out by the whole thing. They didn't feel safe or happy at all in there. They just wanted to eat their cold chicken nuggets as fast as they could so we could leave. It was such a horrible experience, and honestly, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Stay well clear of this place.

Food was average, a little bit long waiting time. In my opinion that place gettin worse, theres no more tablets for a kids. Snowhill does better

This place has gone downhill. Wait times are ridiculous! All their time is spent on deliveries at the expense of customers who walk through the door

I gave three stars, only because the service took time, it seemed that there was more focus on the delivery side of things.

The food looked like it had been made in a rush despite waiting nearly 20mins for it even though I was the only one there.

Screen wasn't working to show which order was ready. Big mac salad and mcspicy salad was very lacking, all of 3 pieces of shredded lettuce.

McDonald's is McDonald's so you get what you expect. Food was as described and was hot. If you want something quick then this is for you.

Decided after ordering to pay at counter. Waited 30 minutes to pay, watched multiple families order, and get their food, yet after trying to talk to staff, i was ignored, and no one paid attention to the fact that I existed. Horrible service do not come.

The only macdonalds in the uk that are charging for a simple tube of sauce. The manager is rude and disrespectful as well as argumentative. Avoid this branch at any cost . This branch will spoil rest of the day

Young blonde lass on drive thru is very efficient and polite. I met a lass in here on a Friday night and had best night of my life. The food is still shite but the lattes are lovely.

Ordered my food before 730am As only just arrived freezing, Cold Coffee was lukewarm asked for a large latte only less than half a latter. And egg and cheese muffins Was freezing cold and as for 2 of them and they are both the same and cold. And they were both black

wrong order arrived we asked for a philly stack and got a mccrispy bbq smokehouse instead. no sauce with the chicken strips either. this is not the first time we have received wrong items and quite frankly are really fed up now.no answer when calling for half an hour. done

I ordered something you would think is simple- 2 large milkshakes. When I received them, they were not up to the line and I asked for them to be topped up. The staff argued with me at first, but eventually agreed to fill them. After a few minutes, a different staff member brings them back, swirling them around so that the milkshake is all over the lid on the inside. They were trying to hide the fact that they hadn’t topped them up at all. They must have thought I was pretty dim, but rather than cause a scene while others were waiting for food, I gave up. It really shouldn’t be necessary for them to lie to me, why couldn’t they just give me the amount of milkshake I paid for? Are they being instructed by management to decrease portions and see what they can get way with? I don’t think I’ll be coming here again, there are always problems with this McDonalds and this is just the last straw. Tragic service.

I have to say in all honesty both my wife and I will definitely NOT be returning to that Macdonald's, The food was cold and horrible (fries, double cheeseburger and sweet chilli chicken wrap). We had to wait for our food at the hatch after paying, no one came to us for nearly 10 mins, which for a drive-through is appalling. £15 for for that was probably made an hour before we ordered.

Well where do you start this one . It's too small the serving counter is literally next to the main door . The customers just seem to walk around the backside of the counter and no one questions it . Staff are as polite as can be when some returns the burger for 3 time as not happy how it's presented . It seemed like the whole of Wakefield were there for kids parties . I have done plenty of McDonald's and this is right up there as the worst I have been to . It's not the staffs fault but it's just too small . 10/10 for staff 7/10 for food .. atmosphere 0/10

This particular McDonald's branch seems to have a creative interpretation of portion sizes. Three visits and consistently disappointing fry portions—kids' happy meals with a sad count of 7-8 fries and 'large' fries that are mysteriously half-empty. Listen, I didn't come to McDonald's for portion control—if I wanted diet hints, I'd have downloaded a fitness app, not ordered fast food. Someone needs to tell them that 'large' isn't meant to be ironic. The 'fast' in fast food is equally questionable, as I've had to park and wait every single time, even for the most basic order. When other McDonald's across the UK manage to fill their fry containers and deliver quickly, this location's consistent underperformance stands out. The only thing super-sized here is the disappointment.

I have a 25 pound mcdonalds order and I have orderd it to the wrong address I asked the driver to deliver it to a different address 2 mins down the road he asked for the pin and he hasn't turned up

Cold food, went through drive through but told to park up, 10 mins later got a cold breakfast, no space for customers in store to wait as they now seem to prioritise just eat and other deliveries over the customers in the store, not worth the money or the wait,

Food cold as always, no dips when I’ve ordered dips, the staff think they can get away with missing items because you’re not in person to complain! Everytime I order there is missing items I will not order again if items are missing again! Doesn’t take a second to grab the requested dip and throw it in bag!!

I ordered my mail just after 7.40am It said it was coming between 8:15 or 8 35 just received it. Now my drink is freezing cold, both for my egg and cheese. Muffins are freusing cold. Want a full refund? Not happy, not had this like it for a while. In to. Tal I spent over 14 pound for my delivery to be freezing cold well and too late late.

This branch is entirely too small for the influx of people that are there every time I come in. Extremely chaotic and noisy and I don’t know how the staff haven’t lost their minds. For a retail park you should realistically be double the size. Food is half and half good and bad just depends on who is working the shift.

Just receive my order. My mozzarella cheese break steaks. Are freezing cold, not even warm. Not even hot disappointed. My Chips are freezing cold are Luke warm. My burger is Luke warm.
