McDonald's in Amber Valley

Once again, my chive dip has been forgotten with my meal. I ordered my meal via Uber Eats and not one dip that I ordered has come so I am very unsatisfied with my dry food!!!! Not only did I pay £1.40 for two chive dips (which is ridiculous in itself) my sweet curry sauce, that I selected, also was not in the bag! This has happened the last few times I’ve ordered from this McDonalds so not a happy customer.

Everything you expect from McDonald's, nice friendly staff, quick service and hot food. 👍

It was very busy not a huge restaurant as the only one for miles they cope well. Car park is small so a bit awkward to get round.

Went here early hours this morning and young girl at window while collecting food is on her phone to her mate while serving me unbelievable tried to ask for something else but she couldn’t hear to busy chatting I’m sure she going to go far in life with manners like that doubt it

Shame prices gone up so much since last visit. I will deffo be reducing my visits whats worse u pay more and big macs get smaller soon be nothing to look at that small . The world today is so disturbing. 🤔

Why am i forced to buy a product which is a happy meal but also forced to purchase the toy for 83p (a week ago used to be 73p) it is all a con to SCAM all McDonalds users.

Food is good. I wouldn't moan about having to wait for bacon if this was a normal restaurant but this is fast food. How the hell can you not have bacon ready? Plus please do something about the crater of a pothole within the drive through as it can't be avoided. Apart from that the service is always good here. Staff are always friendly.

The burgers that are made on some days are the best I have had from there he’s a young lad and I think he’s names Sam I hope he stays and works more often so I can enjoy the burgers more hope he get a payrise

The last 10 times I’ve been to this particular outlet, something has been missing from my order. Often times more than one item. Genuinely the worst service I’ve ever had from a McDonald’s

Great place and quick service. Too many school kids though. It let's down McDonald's hugely. Sweep away the loud school kids while I am trying to eat in peace.

As much as I enjoy the food from McDonald’s I do think the opening times are misleading. It says online they are open 24 hours and that it is open past midnight. I went just after midnight and the car park was shut off. Rang up and asked if it was open the lady said they are shut and it should say online they shut at midnight. As I was trying to tell the lady it says online that they are open 24 hours and that they are still open, she hung up.

Sad result again with order, once more a double bacon & egg Mcmuffin meal ordered and again double sausage & egg. It's not the order box or person handing the food out at last window. When food is wrapped when cooked at times they have labels indicating content, again not this time and luckily we patked in car park so this time I was able to go back round and get it changed. This is not a one off and is disappointing. ps visit was at 8.50am ish. A supervisor was in background. Last couple of visits have been better, no slip ups. Front line staff (drive through) are always polite and attentive and mostly cheerful ( I would struggle being polite to some of there customers) so all good 4th January 2024

been here a few times. tend to give you the correct items although a couple times they've missed things off or got some weird things like ordered a double bacon and egg mcmuffin and instead of double bacon I got double egg. overall can't complain as pretty decent in terms of a maccies

It's McDonalds not a lot else to say. Except always check your food is hot enough 👍

Foods fine but every single time " can you go and park up somewhere and we'll bring it out to you " - everytime American Woman is lovely

The foods always hot and good here, which is expected but hard to find consistently. However they do forget alot here, like paid for dips are forgotten, if you get a large meal they tend to give you a medium drink first then you have to swap it but the staff are efficient enough and friendly

Every time we order from this restaurant there is something missing! Today it was the rich tomato sauces (they never put sauces in) and a large strawberry milkshake!! Because I ordered through the app I now have to ring Uber eats!! And this is why I don't order often!!

Called in for my lunch here services and food are what you would expect from this chain. Although the internet is always poor here.

I gave this place 3 rating a few years back and after tolerating this place due to location and ease, it is quite possibly the worst store I have been to. The drive thru experience is abysmal and continuously under delivers. Shockingly long wait times, terrible service from point 1 to 3, mediocre food that is limp and warm. When you call to complain - which is a sad way to put it, you’re met with argumentative managers. If I could give this place 0 it would be a worthy mark.

They have nuggets, but not enough straws.

Ordered food and half of it was missing including my burger!!! I’m absolutely fumin I called up and they hung up on me when I was explaining my distraught and agony to them! You probably think this is a fake review but I am seriously upset over my BURGER!!! Just want my food please! Even forgot the straw!

Slow service. Parked up and missing items and had to go back in. Usually the case if waiting in the drive thru, always checking the bags and finding items missing. Gone right downhill lately this branch. 😕

Good location, clean with friendly staff. Food was served quickly and was fresh and hot. No faults whatsoever, well done to the staff.

I ordered using table service and the lady called Ola bought my food out,she was ever so polite and handed our food out with a big smile.She also offered our little ones a colouring page with crayons.The food came very quickly too,very fresh fries not too salty and not under salted.

Clean, modern, bright McDonald’s restaurant with friendly staff.

A female member of staff ( I believe was management) was friendly and helpful). She brighted up my morning with her pleasant personality. Kudos to her.

What you'd expect really. All be it I find this branch to offer better customer service.. and are faster at prepping your food.

The best way to.describe it is that it's a McDonald's. Amazingly didn't have to park and wait which is usually the case at this branch. Rarely are items ready.

Had a lovely lunch on a drab Julys day. Took our little 10 month grandson for his first McDonalds experience as when his mum was young we used to take her to McDonalds for a treat. He really enjoyed it sat in the highchair. He ate all his chicken nugget happy meal & sat so good noseying around the restaurant. My husband had a large quarter pounder with cheese meal & a vanilla milkshake & I had a large sweet chilli chicken wrap & strawberry milkshake. It came to £17.07 which is average in today's prices. I'm sure we will have many of these grandson experiences. 👍"John said hi to Jackie."

Found floor staff (julia, i think)to be very friendly and helpful. Waited longer than usual for my food order despite it not being busy. Maybe it was because a few staff members were explaining "hot boxes" and various other smoking terms loudly near the front counter in front of staff!!!!

My fillet o fish bun was not steamed. Ordered 2, both had dry buns. Not happy.

Decent McDonald’s. Can’t help but feel the deliveries get priority over the restaurant though.

I come here with my mates all the time and never had a problem, tonight visiting oh my god. Normally I order the mcrispy without the lettuce and extra cheese, got it back had lettuce and no cheese, to make matters worse they gave me a mcspicy instead of the crispy, I cannot deal with spice whatsoever. I was none stop coughing and choking, felt like I couldn’t breath at all, completely lost my appetite after this. We’ve only ever liked this mcs but not returning again😡

McDonald’s is McDonald’s, we just called in for a breakfast The ketchup dispenser were empty and ask for ketchup they was going to charge me 10 pence. After pending £16.00 I refuse to pay for the ketchup.

Cold food , slow drive through service and when you get home 20 minutes away there is food missing . You call they do absolutely nothing , don’t care and tell you collect a meal when you go back . Refuse to refund and why would you go back when it’s awful service and the cost of the fuel is more than the cost of the missing food ? Inept incompetent individuals

Always missing orders! And terrible attitude!

3rd time I've ordered delivery from here and 3rd time I didn't receive the sauces I bought. 4 bbq 1 sweet curry and cool ranch and Chipotle with the nuggets I ordered.

Crew seems tired. Food was cold and the link between click and serve and the window was pretty poor. Ended up waiting for part of an order a silly amount of time. The chicken mayo is a simple item but the crew managed to butcher it into a complete mess and the presentation was really really poor with ingredients everywhere in the wrap. Use the MDs at the top of the A38 or the one at Ripley.

As McDonald's go, it was fairly average. The burger topping was a tad sloppy, and the presentation of the burger was all Skew-Whiff, not very appealing. A very busy restaurant, but may not be on my return list.

I went on the machine and asked for a cheeseburger happy meal and took off the mustard onion pickle and ketchup and when I got home to eat it all of that was on there but the chips were good so I’m giving you 2 stars 😋

I understand people make mistakes but mistake after mistake isn’t right. Unfortunately every time me and my partner go to the Somercotes McDonald’s and go trough the drive through/collection point there’s something missing from our order. Sometimes there’s even multiple things missing! We don’t always have time to stop and wait to check everything is in our bags - but we shouldn’t have to do this anyway?! We should be able to trust that the staff have packed up all of our order. I know people make mistakes but for this to happen every time we go there..somethings not right and needs to change. We would drive back to the store and inform the staff about what’s happened but 9 times out of 10 we are on our way somewhere in the car or aren’t in the position to go back to store..so it’s money paid we won’t get back. Just hope this review gets seen and appropriate changes are made.

I would just like to day a big thank you to the McDonald's maintenance gentleman who came to help us today when I had fasten my dog to the table outside and the lead had got stuck. He had to cut the lead in the end . 5 silver surfers and 1 dog must grateful. Thank you

better than my last at least at this one they managed to get my order correct was plenty of parking and store looked claen and tidy from outside. food was hot and correct staff member was polite and showed attention to detail

Always enjoy going here, the Alfreton branch is always clean and welcoming, Christina and the lady she was working with on good Friday are particularly hard working and keep the place spotless, if they are not busy with customers they are busy cleaning so well done both 😀

The grand kids love going to McDonalds. Nice food, quick and easy and the kids get a toy and a balloon and grandad and grandma are the best in the world.

Sorry folks, worst McDonald's breakfast I've ever had. Unfortunately, the second worst breakfast came from this one too. One lives and learns.

Had to go back twice because the first time, they gave me items on my grandchilds burger, which I specifically asked not to be on there. When I got back to the car, only to find my other grandchild's milkshake was contaminated with another flavour, they were good enough to change that for me. However, I didn't check my order, 🙈 so when I did, there were no burgers in my big mac 😔

Ginger young girl served me, didn’t speak a word to me apart from “we are waiting on your drinks” then continued to laugh and speak with mates. Didn’t even say thank you, most ignorant girl.

Called in at 2 pm 06/02/2022. I could smell vape smoke as I came out of the men's toilet today. As I left the building a staff female member was in front of me, she was holding an E-Liquid vape

The best lady that was in front of house was the happiest and friendliest and appeared to really take care at her work? Cleaning tables, sweeping up and making sure each customer was happy. Well done. You deserve praise. Let's hope McDonald's recognise you and rewards you.

Looks like a youth club when you walk in, lots of staff standing around doing nothing. I was surprised to bite into a McChicken sandwich when I had ordered a vegetable burger, when I took it back they didn't even acknowledge it, just ignored me & gave me the correct burger, didn't say a word, "Ok I'll get you another" would have been nice!! "Sorry" would have been amazing! Not to say anything was a bit strange, felt like I was being awkward.

Very good service and got my drive through order right this time and also my preferences on my food. Much improved.. 🙂

just went through the drive through and was served by a young man named alfie. he was absolutely brilliant and very friendly. Alfie made my day and was the most polite, and genuine gentleman i have ever met. if anyone should be employee of the month it should be him as he is not only kind but also very lovely and greets you with a smile on your face

Very rude and wouldn’t let me and my friend in because a dark skin came in and made trouble they said it was my mates brother even thought it wasn’t and I just wanted to sit down while my friend eats but they weren’t letting me

Dropped in with my grandson late afternoon, fast service with hot food, he enjoyed his happy meal and the two assistants clearing tables and recycling were very helpful and chatty and couldn't do enough to entertain my little one

Gone down hill very quickly . Long wait in drive thru orders very often wrong , incomplete or cold. Priority seems to be given to just eat/ deliveroo orders and car park becoming dangerous due to delivery drivers treating it as a race track

This McDonald's is a waste of time and money. I regularly have to park up for 5-10 minutes whilst food is prepared, only to be given the wrong food. It's probably the worst McDonald's in the UK.
