Continental Food Bar in Amber Valley

This used to be great, but the recipe seems to have changed over time. Im devastated.

Had family visiting and ended up at the Continental Food Bar. Been before and has been ok-ish for late night food after a few drinks. Big mistake, awful food, total rip-off, wouldn't even give it to the dog! Lesson learnt!

The Conti is my go-to for pizza deliveries in Belper. I usually book online and they always deliver within the 15 minute time slot I choose.

Ordered a box meal for 1 which includes chicken nuggets and onion rings. 1 hour for delivery, 1 1/2 hours later food arrived but was cold, no nuggets so replaced with mini chicken fillets and onion rings were black due to being burnt. Call to shop and spoke with manager who advised fillets are better than nuggets anyway, advised manager that food was cold and onion rings burnt. I was told I would receive a refund the following day, 2 days later still nothing so sent an email, further 2 days and still nothing. Appalling service and will not be using again.

Told me to come in cos I'm too busy then hung up, never again hahahaha

Absolutely disappointed, ordered 3 x kebabs and chips, and came to £35 ?. Cash only, no machines in belper had cash. Told by men in kebab house to order online, it didn't matter what as long as it was the sane price. I ordered equivalent and got home, no chips and order wrong. Rang up and was told we didn't order them!! disgusting dirty place wouldn't bother

Popped in after a night out for some food, the staff were lovely. So chatty and attentive. We paid £11 for 2 huge chicken burgers, chips and cheese. Can’t fault the food at all it was delicious, we even had leftovers and ate them the next day and it was just as good! They even wrote “his and hers” on the orders, so cute!!

Rude staff and took 20 mins for them to plate up a portion of chips, wouldn’t bother! Go Fresh bite instead

Rang to make a order 2 weeks in a row order was wrong both weeks acepted it first week because I am a regular customer and pretty good normaly 2nd week rang up to say I had wrong order told me I was totally wrong rang again gentleman apologies and says he will deliver rite order and nothing turns up

Best place to drop by after the pub crawl. Great choice of pizza's and curries. The veg pizza with green chillis is delish. Kebabs are so huge they last me 2 meals. Lovely exotic food, friendly staff and parking right in front!

Best (red) tikka masala in the country.

Sat on the edge of the market Square with plenty of parking and easy to find. Polite friendly staff ,We ordered online and then collected in person. The order was almost ready and finished very quickly. Well packaged so by the time we arrived home it was still pipping hot ,no spills no mess. very generous portions cooked perfectly. We ordered a Lamb Doner,Chicken Doner and a Pizza . The Doners were the best we have ever had we were able to all agree upon this very quickly. The pizza was prepared with a generous amount of fresh ingredients and baked just right. I can't fault the service or food, we have used them once prior to this meal and once since finding the quality to be consistent.

This place isn't how it looks. Our friend recommended it having had take aways from them for many years. Without the recommendation I wouldn't have tried it. Ordered by phone which was fine. We've been trying all of the Indian restaurants in Belper and around recently. The food was ready on time, very good value and very tasty. We will try again and looking forward to other things on their menu.

Cheapish post beer kebabs, what do you expect?

Accepted order waited ages and then they cancelled really late leaving me no time to re order with someone else, unreliable worst company ever. Don't waste your time ull have a very un happy hungry family on treat night.

Refused order on just eat for collection even though we were sat in the car outside and could see they were open, had to go place the order inside. Good was good once we got it though.

Donor meat was very greasy. Chips were swimming in grease. Chicken tikka was ok and portions were of good size. Far too much oil residue on food. Felt sick afterwards from too much grease.

The delivery driver was rude to me because I used the back door instead of the front door that he went to also the food was burnt and I didn't receive my full order after paying on card I will not be using these again

Shocking, ordered my food on their own website to collect; their site offers 10% instead of ordering by phone or other app. Got confirmation email saying collect in 1hr, turned up as directed and food not cooked and informed they were to busy to cook it. Wanted me to wait further hr to cook it, got money back but rubbish, really sad as trying to support local company in these times. Will try TAJ in future, poor poor experience

Awful, didnt follow delivery instructions of where to meet, didnt call us to query where we said to meet. When finally found so disappointed as we and asked for, in capitals in the comment box, NO ONIONS on the pizza but it came with onions aswell as, unrequested, bbq sauce on it aswell! No sauce, salt nor vinegar on the chips v.dry. Cannot reccomend.

A very busy takeaway. Food good as normal, and freshly cooked while I waited. RECOMMENDED

Continental is a takeaway with general good reviews but, unfortunately two times running now it’s been poor.... Chips not fully cooked, pepperoni pizza that tasted of absolutely nothing other than dough (didn’t know it was possible) and then the kebabs. Oh dear! The delivery was rapid and I mean really rapid. Can’t of been more than 40 mins but I’d have rather waited the extra 30 mins as expecting and the food be cooked and a bit of care taken. Fast food? Yes Edible food? Not really

Our meal came cold. No sauce or salad on chicken burger. Requested a refund and we didn't get it. Rang the takeaway place and they told us to contact you for refund. Meal went straight in the bin. Was disgusting. Customers for many years. Never had a meal so bad from here.

Pizza, burger & chips and pilau rice were good though the half and half ingredients on the pizza were a bit overlapped. The curry was not so great unfortunately, watery, bland and for a Madras not spicy whatsoever. Restaurant collection was swift and staff were friendly.

Do you have a new chef? The pizza wasn't as nice as they used to be, crust just wasn't the same..

Had to leave full stars as we were really impressed with the food. I ordered beef balti & the meat was cooked to perfection & was a generous amount too & my daughter really enjoyed her pizza. Will order again soon 👍

Food was good but they didn’t add the cheese to the chips and curry that I ordered. They also forgot the 1.5l bottle of 7up so that’s £2.70 wasted.

Jow do you cook half a chicken and deliver it in 20 minutes? Was dry and reheated chicken im my opinion they did replace it and wow it arrived quicker than the first but obviously reheated chicken again and dry the rest of the food was fine but when your spending 25 pounds you expect fresh and good quality food not reheated chicken

Pizzas tasted nasty. The base sauce was a bitter flavour and not what we ordered. The restaurant swore I was wrong and it was tomato. It was dark brown and was nasty. The pizzas went in the bin. Won’t use them again.

You know what I can't knock the food it's good value for money and tastes really nice and is enjoyable. How ever the delivery driver thought it would he acceptable to pick a rock up (wasn't a small one either) and throw it at our front door and it hit a plain of glass all because he couldn't be bothered to knock on the door. Not to mention when we had a takeaway last time he was rude to my partner. That's why I'm giving 2 stars it's not acceptable at all. If it happens again we won't be using this takeaway again.

Came in 10 minutes, but burger was rock hard and couldn’t eat it

Good service, but the food wasn’t great. Korma was a bit weird and the chips and chicken nuggets were a bit chewy?😂 Was really looking forward to this food but it was a little disappointing. Sorry😭

Fantastic food. Chicken korma was very tasty and loads of chicken. The garlic rice was the best I've ever had. Donner meat and chips were great. We will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered a kebab the meat was really nice. I asked for salad it came with none at all, a bit too much sauce for my liking. Id expect then order to come as ordered when im spending 11.50 for one kebab to be delivered, its expensive for one person on there own to have a treat! And would expect it to come correct

Ordered a pizza and chips take away as a change for a treat. My daughter only ate the chips luckily and she’s been fine... I ate only 1 slice of pizza as it tasted horrible and 2 hours later I’m being sick.... won’t be ordering from here again...

Order was extremely late, and when we called to question was very rude. No manners and expected us to sit and wait and hope it arrived. Food quality was okay for some things and poor for others. Won’t be ordering again.

food late, delivery driver extremely rude - told us to hurry up answering the door as we were making him block the road off (you chose to park there?) and when we called to complain, whoever was on the other end couldn't give a damn. We also mentioned that the sauce pots had spilled all over the dishes- they just palmed us off and told us he was too busy to deal with it, no apology, nothing. Used to be a decent place but will definitely not be returning.

Amazing as always. I usually leave the crusts on my pizzas.. yeah I know - one of those people - but the pizzas from here have the perfect crust with a nice crisp and topping close enough to the edge to give the best pizza (in my opinion) from a takeaway in this area. <3

Delivery driver using 20 year old satnav. Ended up having to drive and collect as he didnt even get close. Pizza was poor quality. Not good.

Food was okay. Chips were dry, like they had been fried a number of times. The sauce on pizza was like Bolognese not usually tomato. Those who had kebabs liked them, huge portions.

Gutted...ordered tonight for a Donner and Tikka Kebab...was very meek...a few lumps of tikka meat and absolutely zero Donner meat despite paying extra for a 'special' kebab...will be returning to The Spot which happened to be closed tonight...best Kebabs in Belper from them! Such a let down...

The food was great but the delivery time was inaccurate. This meant we weren't home on time.

We ordered 2 pizzas and chips and a garlic bread, the chips that arrived were rock hard and full of grease, they were dripping when we picked them up , one of the pizzas was sloppy and undercooked. We rung up to complain and the woman that answered was rude and claimed we just wanted free pizzas , appalling food and even worse customer service.DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE IF YOU WANT EDIBLE FOOD!
