Mcdonald's in Amber Valley

Another decidedly fast food chain outlet. Soggy cold fries at 11:10 doesn't bode well. Burger was hot n fresh. Just another reminder as to why I won't eat maccies often.

It is your everyday McDonald's by all exterior and interior observations but lurking behind the facade is a rather unenthused and chaotic service. I do frequent it regularly for convenience but expectations are low. Dried out, cold, sloppy assembly of items and frequently wrong orders prepared and unusually high occurrence of get half now and the remainder after you eaten it waiting parked up is my experience. Your experience might be better.

It's been quite a few years since having one and the big mac is now not so big, It's bland and the chips tasted dry and old. I never expect a high standard, it's only ever an easy and quick bite but I have noticed a definite change in quality.

Food was nice and warm, philly steak was tasty

The food was pretty much as you would expect from your average McDonald's. Quite well put together. The fries were as soft and soggy as seems to have become the norm at franchise McDonald's outlets. The burger was nice enough. Unfortunately hot chocolate was off the menu for some reason, but other than that the full complement of drinks was available. The car park was quite full, but the restaurant seemed less busy than the number of cars would suggest. Perhaps more people are sitting in their cars to eat. It was surprising just how long it was taking for orders to be prepped. Unfortunately, I saw several people going through the drive-thru using their mobile phones while in the queue. (The drive-thru exemption is strictly to make a payment at the payment window. If you are in the queue for the drive-thru, it is both illegal and dangerous to use your mobile phone.)

I’ve been to this McDonald’s three times and this is the last time I will be dining here again! I am appalled with the way the management treat thier staff and don’t care for the emotional well-being of thier staff either! I witnessed a young girl sobbing this evening because of a nasty customer screamed at her. She was trying her best to calm the situation and make sure that this man got what he wanted. However I had to sit and watch this man scream at her whilst she was almost on the verge of tears. The management at this point should have stepped in and taken over their job! That is what they get paid to do! Manage a shift. The lack of respect really ruined the atmosphere and my severely autistic son was really overwhelmed thanks to the drama! Not happy at all! Management. Do your job properly and then maybe people wouldn’t be crying on your shifts. Disgusting behaviour! It’s not a wonder why there are hundreds of cases being put against McDonald’s and the way they treat thier staff nowadays! Disgusting

Have never eaten here again since seeing them picking up burgers with their hands and no gloves/tongs. Manager reckons it is acceptable because of hand washing routines. Turned my stomach and couldn’t fancy any food there again.

Ordered through drive thru. Terrible service, had to keep asking where my order was, to be told they are busy and will be there shortly. They ended up coming to ask what I had ordered. Finally got my order after 30 minutes wait, only ordered chicken selects meal and mozzarella dippers. Not exactly fast food. Food was cold when I got home.

Cold food. It's getting to be a big problem

Service is hit and miss with the drive through, especially when it’s busy. We usually order for four people and they usually miss at least one item from our order. This has got worse due to it being so busy inside, usually due to the amount of delivery collection staff also being busy. This restaurant needs to be bigger to accommodate all the people that use it inside and drive through at busy times.

Yet another poor review from me. Some new Management and staff changes. Still the same pathetic service. Asked by a Manager, "What's your order Pal" My name is not Pal. Open your eyes Area Manager.

Emily manager very helpful and professional sorting out shift an problem customers while we waited patiently for her to sort our order. Must be hell working in fast food with all the grumpy people in this world. Well done Emily keeping her staff in good organisation and quick working regardless what moaby customers say. Give this girl a raise 🙌

It's maccys , what ya want from me it's fast food that tastes ok .

Third time on a row they have got my order totally wrong. They never read the special instructions on the individual burgers I order for my daughter who doesn’t like cheese or eggs. Total useless

Tried to go for breakfast, did it on the app before I left - all fine. By the time I got there all the free reward items I'd picked were unavailable. I tried sorting it out once I arrived and if you paid for a hash brown it worked, if you used the reward it was "unavailable". So I left the queue and drove off! Seems very dodgy to me, it would've been the first time coming to this McDonald's, I won't be returning!

cold, forgot the sauces, no bacon on my double big mac with bacon, which also looked like it had been thrown in...

The food was awful! My wife had a cheeseburger and it looked like it had been all over the floor, it was only slightly warm it ended up in the bin, my chicken burger was not great either only just warm can’t understand why people eat it, if you look at the ingredients for the chips it’s just full of additives hardy any potato people don’t realise what they are eating!

Just ordered through deliveroo it's not the riders fault the staff took too long to do the order the ice-cream has melted, and my food arrived cold I asked for large chips got a small with no salt on them and my cappuccino had no froth and arrived cold basically just bone idleness if they spent more time working and less time gossiping they wouldn't get a one star review

Hello. On Thursday the 8th of August 2024, otherwise known as, today, I ordered a meal for me and a friend. I was shocked and in HORROR to see that my big mac had no bun. To be honest, I’m mortified. Upon inspection of my Big (because to be frank there was no mac) I find a HAIR. I’m not joking. I attempted multiple times (5) to contact Ripley McDonald’s however I received no answer to my desperate calls. Where the mcfrickis the rest of my big mac? and where did this mystery hair come from? I’d be delighted to bring this up with you Maccies, so dont fret to call me back ;) Also, to warn anyone ordering a burger from this mcdonalds, it will come anaemic. Mine looked like it had been kept in a cool dark place, with no refreshments. However I will say, the iced latte i ordered was really lovely and i thoroughly enjoyed. Everything in my bags was absolutely freezing cold. I rang the restaurant at 16.16pm and they was packing it up cause I ordered the wrong wrap and and it got delivered at 17:03pm freezing cold

Consistently poorly managed. Staff are polite but the restaurant kitchen appears chaotic. Drive thru orders are poorly managed resulting in some orders being given to the wrong vehicles. Hopefully the Alfreton restaurant will reopen soon, that location is managed much more effectively resulting in a much better customer experience.

Floors dirtier than an 80s nightclub and after they have served the 400+ delivery drivers queuing you are lucky to get your food in less than 10 minutes

Absolutely disgusting attitude from incompetent staff and "management"!!!! Made a complaint about the food and missing items and was initially told they'd make a note and replace next time. However, when we went again we was told that they wouldn't be replaced due to me having made a complaint once before!! If the staff done their job right in the first place then there'd be no need to complain!! We are now banned from here for not being happy with the money spent for the inedible and missing food!!!

Out of the last 12 orders we have placed online with this McDonalds - 8 orders have been missing several items of food and condiments paid for. After making more than 4 telephone complaints to the ‘manager’ of the restaurant, months and months later the service has still not improved. We’ve never been offered reimbursement of any kind, and no efforts have been made to rectify the poor service being provided. I can only imagine how poorly the food is cared for in the kitchen, and I won’t be using this restaurant again. I can do much much better. Clearly the franchisees and management have no concern whatsoever for their customers or their employees. This should be addressed by McDonalds themselves because it is devaluing their brand.

Terrible. Why have two lanes open in the drive through and only one is working also the wait time was horrendous they told us to go park up and it took about 30 mins to get the food. When we got the food fries were either raw or bad and the wrap of the day was just chicken no sauce or salad.

We went to get a meal for my son’s girlfriend who is a regular customer. She has a sesame allergy and normally requires a bun change on a Big Mac as the buns are seeded. She requested this as usual but the manager refused to authorise it saying it was policy to refuse any changes. The server was also very rude, unapologetic and disinterested. This shows a total lack of respect for people unfortunate enough to suffer from allergies. McDonalds have lost a good customer.

Don’t listen to your order in drive. Through ignore you at desk when go in avoid this one at all cost go somewhere else

Old and dated restaurant. Didn't feel very clean. Service and food was adequate but hot and cold drinks were unavailable.

The opening times are a lie. Past 12 you can't sit inside, only get drive thru, which means if you drive a motorcycle it's closed since it would be horribly unsafe to drive with one hand. Every sign around the place says open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please update this false advertising.
