Had mixed results from this one, food is always good but sometimes it's a mess trying to get it due to long wait times and confused staff. Edit: Wait times now of over 20 minutes, literally no point going here anymore.

No any customers in store.. we are Alone.. ordered simple burgers.. they work only for deliveryes.. we are waiting allready for 25min.. Terrible place Ever meet!

Fast service at kiosk not so much with getting food to customer

Waited 5 mins at speaker in right hand lane while 3 cars came after me in left lane and got served

Priority given to delivery drivers, so food often delayed. Small car park, full of waiting delivery drivers, making it impossible to find a space. Saw one JustEat chap sitting in his car just waiting for an order, taking the spot of what was going to be a paying customer. This branch has their business model upside down.

Friendly staff and free parking. Would have given 5 stars but they did not have anywhere to change my grandson.

Excellent service from Lewis. Really polite. Food was hot and fresh.

Payment system crash. Awarded potentially a free meal. The lady cleaning upstairs was making tables looking spotless. Fries tasted unusually good, cheeseburgers were excellent.

Probably one of the better McDonald's about, service is good, and pretty quick. They're fairly good with the delivery drivers too as long as you don't harass them when your order isn't ready (which is fair), I use this as a customer as well because my daughter likes the play area upstairs, generally kept clean too

Took 10 minutes for someone to take my order and once they did took another 25 minutes to actually give me my food in that time only 2 other people got there food so no idea why it took so long got home and looked like the burgers had been punched together and half my fries were missing. Will never order from this mcdonalds ever again

I can’t begin to express how many times this McDonalds has messed our orders up. This evening for instance… a whole meal missing out of the bag! We had it delivered this time so unfortunately just had to go without one persons meal! The rest of the meals were like warm at best! Unless you check your whole order at the window and ask for what’s missing, I’m afraid you’ll be short!

Ordered from breakfast menu. Most was from the Winning Fries 🍟 game of food I'd won. Order came and I took it away . Everything was great except the medium diet coke which just didn't taste right at all so I poured it away. Otherwise nice food good service .

Usually very good service. Starting to get a few errors with the orders from time to time. Received a happy meal without chips. Quickly resolved but annoying.

Cold food and a long wait ...just a shame how it has gone down hill and all ot was was porridge 😕

Is it me? I’m no stranger to McDonalds and I’ve had plenty of breakfast deals - you know muffin something or other, coffee and hash brown. But…does it have to be so greasy? It smells oily and certainly looks and tastes of it too. Perhaps the process of production is so ingrained that no thought or consideration is given to the obvious deleterious health aspects of serving such oily fare. It kinda tastes OK (except the hash brown which is always somewhat dire) but it obviously is on the unhealthy side of acceptable. These comments are no reflection on the McD outlet I’m reviewing (although they should consider serving reasonably warm food in the future) but with their pathetic, cranky app their increased pricing and their woeful lack of healthy food options the once famous McDonalds is in slow decline - in my opinion, of course. Black coffee was good.

Worst McDonald’s in Derby, everytime we go the ice cream/milkshake machine is ‘not working’ or ‘turned off’ Went tonight to get a McFlurry and the excuse was ‘resetting the system’ so either had to wait 15 minutes or leave. Don’t even bother ordering as they’ll most definitely forget an item or get the items wrong. Customer service also shocking, most employees are incompetent

Convenient stop off for breakfast. Got the table number wrong but food still found us.

Really slow service on our visit on Thursday, over 20 minute wait, but the food was as good as always.

* AVOID AVOID AVOID* If I could rate this any lower I definitely would. This is by far the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. Queued up for ages in the drive thru waiting there for a good 15 mins waiting for someone to come to the window so I could pay. No one turned up so tried to pay at the next window to get told we would have to come in and re-order the whole thing. Then re ordered and was greeted with the worst customer service from one of the women working there. Also got told to “check the bag because I didn’t pack it” insinuating that it’s probably wrong🤣 just shocking. To then eat the food after all the experience and it be freezing cold and the bread stale. It has completely put me off McDonald’s full stop.

Ordered a McFlurry and a drink to table via the app. The tray it was brought on had clearly not been washed, with bits of lettuce and crumbs all over it. (See attached photo) The worst McDonalds in Derby for speed, getting orders wrong and the attitude of staff.

I ordered a delivery and it never arrived I had to go to the place ourselves and at first they said I had to contact the delivery company mcdonalds didn't want to take any responsibility but I said I wanted my order or a refund after some argument they decided to give me my order.

Poor customer service. We ordered 5 drive through meals for our family following an unexpected hospital trip. Initally we were given the incorrect amount of fries, which we sorted back in the restraunt. Then we realised we only had been given 4 drinks. We drove straight back to the drive through to resolve, and we were asked for a receipt for proof, which we were not given. The manager then had to be asked by the staff if i could have the drink (that we had paid for!). Basically we were being made to feel as though we were lying. I was then told - the manager says on this occassion as a courtesy i could have a drink, but next time will be no. Why thank you McDonalds for kindly allowing me to have my drink that we paid for, after being made to feel as though you were doing me a favour.

Quite possibly the worst mcdonalds in derby. Nearly cold food, customised orders aren't adhered to... It's awful. Not as good as it used to be. Not as good as the mcdonalds on the wyvern.

Worst experience at any franchise. Basically only services delivery guys rather than walk in customers. 30mins for a single burger and chips on Sunday night.

Breakfast stop, must describe as underwhelming, sausage and egg mcmuffin seemed firm/stale, hash brown acceptable, but miserable half measure cappuccino failed to impress.

Big Macs are always cold. Shop floor was dirty with dried mud and food spillages. Very disappointed

Worst McDonald’s by a landslide. If there’s any award for worst fast food. Well done you’ve won! (Fast by no means plays a part here) 45 minutes to get my food.. which at that point my coffee was stone cold. I get you don’t need a degree to work here. But I strongly believe there isn’t a single brain cell being shared amongst the staff. If you’re reading this McDonald’s. You need a management shake up here. It’s a shambles.

This place constantly is stingy with the McFlurrys! If you’re after a McFlurry, do not come here; the level of ice cream was below the mouth piece of the spoon!!

Appalling service at this McDonald's. Sent by a young girl on the till to pay at the next window, then told they can't take payment at that window so I need to drive around again which I refused because there was a long trail of cars due to football traffic. I asked for the card machine to be brought down to me, the young manager refused, I said OK take my card to the machine, again he refused, when I said I'm not moving until you take payment from me here....his Immediate response was "i'll call the police".....pathetic. I asked for his name, again he refused (I got a photo of him). My son got out the car and walked to the first window to pay, the young girl apologised, the manager was hiding. Paid and got the food, they added burnt onions to the burgers (I have a picture) I now know who the Area Manager is and will be making a formal complaint.

No printouts of o, no indication what order number, slow service, no milkshakes available, hot chocolate was like water, disgusting. Went to the counter to complain, nobody came never again to Macd.

Had to complain after waiting almost 20 minutes for my order to discover they hadn't started it as they had a issue with the burger. As soon as I said I wanted a refund within 5 minutes my meal had arrived.

Ordered a McDonald’s as a leaving party for a family member, and all we got was all the drinks spilled, wrong drinks itself, the wrong food. All the food was cold. And when we called up they wouldn’t offer us a refund, nor a replacement of our food, so our kids went hungry and had to make them something else to eat because of this. And our order was nearly £50.

They seem incapable of getting an order right guaranteed to be something missing weather it's fries dips or straws. If I was this bad at my job I would get sacked

Order a breakfast and given cold tea that had clearly had a tea bag sitting in it for a long period. The food was also barely warm which i put up with. Asked a girl working there if I could have a hot tea, she took the tea off me, closed the window and gave me what I thought was a new tea but by the time I parked up it was the same tea she had given me back! Went back through the drive through for a new order. Disgusting customer service you should be ashamed!

Incompetent staff who are incapable of pressing a button on till. Waited in line while they served the person in-front of me and added and deleted exactly the same item around 15 times, no idea what they were doing the person in front was also getting visibly frustrated with what was happening. Was then told I couldn’t have my order as they weren’t serving breakfast anymore even though I’d been sat waiting and had confirmed on the app and already paid. Best part is the manger who clearly thinks she’s something special let me tell you she’s not and clearly has no idea how their own systems work, told me I was wrong and it couldn’t possibly be that I’d been charged for the order, yes I had been the money had gone out of my account not as a pending transaction like she kept trying to tell me it was, as she could clearly see my banking and I’m blind right? Then proceeded to tell me she wouldn’t issue a refund and I couldn’t have any food. She needs a few lessons I think one in how to be a decent human being and talk to people and not tell them they’re wrong when they tried to explain and two how to be a manager cause she clearly doesn’t know and she needs to make sure her staff are taking accountability for their actions not just shouting at customers through her little window when stuff goes wrong and she’s too idiotic to fix it

The worst McDonald's in the Derby area. I'd rather travel to a pride park or meteor centre, then eat here. Order is never right. Either missing, wrong or cold. Drinks are never right either. Service is sooo slow. Dirty tables.

Absolutely the worst McDonald’s in the country. Any time you use the drive thru the order you get is wrong and have to go back inside. Any time you use mc delivery half your order is missing resulting in you being £3.99 out of pocket wasted on a delivery fee. Absolute shambles of a restaurant. Management need changing!!!!

Everytime we order whether it be through the drive through or through Uber or just eats they constantly miss something of our order

Really dirty. Mud tracked up the stairs and an old dried drink spill. Restaurant was quiet but most of the tables upstairs were dirty. Member of staff standing in the corner chatting to a colleague on a break, didn't do any cleaning the entire time we were there. Order was accurate and hot.

Slowest McDonald's on earth. Go somewhere else even if you have to drive further it will still be faster. Lots of staff stood about in the back doing nothing

Terrible place poor management very disorganized I ordered a big Mac with extra sauce it came completely dry no sauce or salad fries were half empty and cold several other people were complaining about food quality and missing items while I was there to and the staff just arnt interested also not the cleanest place either dirty tables floors and overflowing bins I will be avoiding this place in the future

First time ordering delivery and chips were literally cold. Most food luke warm. Paid for extra dips that were completely missed. The included chicken select dips completely missing and no BBQ sauce with the Nuggets. Complete joke of a meal! Will definitely never be ordering for delivery again! Collection or dining in as expected however. Same usual good standard as expected. Remember to order fries without salt to get them piping hot and fresh every time!

Updating from 6 months ago, nothing has improved. We stopped using them for a while but orders are always wrong (something missing) or cold, or undercooked. One day we'll learn! -- Don't order delivery, they constantly get the food wrong and it always arrives cold, and if you complain all they do is ask you to go in store for a replacement... not ideal if you're having a delivery is it!

Drive the grandchildren there as they like it. To be honest I did eat some fries aswell and the service was quick . Should tell other Derby McDonald's how to serve in less than 15mins

Asked for fresh fries and said we didn’t mind waiting, person over the tannoy asked what we meant. Elaborated and just told them no salt as they couldn’t hear us. When we got to the window Connor served us, we asked him for salt. He said he didn’t have any, my friend was with me who works at McDonald’s and asked him politely to get some salt. He said there was none in stock and he didn’t know what to tell us, he then slammed the window shut whilst we were replying to him. Went inside and there was salt, asked staff if they had salt and they said yes . Pathetic.

I used to reasonably enjoy going to McDonald's, most things were what you would expect from a fast food place. However over the last decade I think some things have just got worse. Certainly in my area. The food is more or less the same so no issues there, but the places themselves have got grottier, tables not clean, bins spilling over, no smile or enthusiasm from the staff and my biggest gripe is the word fast. That needs to be removed. It is no longer fast, I remember the days when you went up to the counter and before you finished ordering it was on a tray infront of you, practically thrown at you as you spurted out your order. Not anymore, just computer interaction, then when it says its ready its a lie, go to pickup point and there is nothing there but a group of people wondering where the food is... I only eat McDonald's now if someone else is prepared to order and collect...

They are very slow serving and i think its a scam

Myles was great on the window and helped when we were missing items. He was very friendly and gave great service. We spent over £60 and they made sure our food was fresh.

It's food,not first choice but when hungry its ok

The customer service at this McDonald's branch is horrendous. This is the closest one to my house as we only live in Alvaston, but I will not be going or ordering from there again. I recently ordered food via Uber Eats from here and they didn't complete the orders. I had to drive there at 1 am when they hadn't even bothered to make half of our order. When I arrived there, I raised the issue with the manager, who did not care in the slightest and confirmed that the staff had even bothered to make the food that was missing. Therefore, this wasn't the delivery driver's fault at all, which they tried to convince me it was. The service is stupidly slow, yet the food is always cold and most of the staff just don't care at all. If the manager's response was anything to go by, I am not surprised that the staff don't care if they are doing their jobs or not. What happened to management leading by example?? This isn't the first time we have had a negative experience at this particular McDonald's. I would rather go to or order from another branch on the other side of Derby than go to the one next to my house! Never again!!

Been to this McDonald’s quite a few times and the device and attitude of staff has to be the worst ever. They constantly don’t have food available and then you have to sit in the drive through because they haven’t got the food you want.

Well since the refit this has all the soul and charisma of a morgue. Might as well be self service. If this is the future of mcds then its awful. I think they just want you to deliverpoo. Used to be a place to go...now a place to NO!

I don't know why I still go tbh... convenience I suppose. Fries are either tepid, too salty or no salt at all. You're lucky if you get a serviette and the milkshakes never seem to be available! Gone are the days when a visit to Maccies was quick, friendly and damned tasty.

Very slow. Lacked trained staff. Didn't ask if wanted sauce. Sauce for the cheese sticks missing. Currently the Manopoly peels are on. I got one sticker to peel, should of had at least 4, ordered a meal with drink and extra cheese sticks. Not the best McDonald's I'd say avoid until they get there act together. Poor atmosphere. Guy kicking off as food cold and wanted a refund, no staff to do a refund. Well come to The North and Derby ....

I ordered a McPlant and the guy on drivethrough must have misheard and given me a McSpicy. For obvious reasons I went in and explained what had happened and the manager was really awkward about swapping it! She made a scene in the restaurant and said that’s what I ordered. I said I don’t eat meat so why would I order a chicken burger! 🤣👌. Honestly. Then she made me a McPlant reluctantly and I had already removed the monopoly peel thing off the mcspicy so she removed the one from the McPlant before giving it to me as if this was all a big rouse to get an extra Monopoly peel! Honestly it made me feel like going back in and asking for a 20p refund for the difference in price between a McSpicy and a McPlant. Don’t drop to their level though eh! 🤣

They never get the order right even when it tells them everything via the app. Either their staff don't know how to read, or they just don't care. Ordered countless of times and there's is always at least one thing missing. It's all on the app so there is no excuse.

Surprisingly pleasant experience, the charity work. Smiling staff and genuinely really McDonald's. Sometimes there is a range of quality with McDonald's. This one is definitely top of that range!

Very busy McDonald’s. The food was average and our son had ordered a plain cheese burger only to find it filled with sauce, pickles and onions. I understand it is a busy environment to work in with lots going on but this isn’t the first time this has happened. The toilets and the access lift were both out of order on our visit.

Slow drive through do not be in a rush

Booking at table on app. The app wasn't recognising I was there and it stated to speak to a member of staff. Spoke to a member of staff who said go downstairs as she didn't know. Sat with a 4 year old you can't just head down to speak to someone at the till. Had to leave our stuff at the table and both head down. Sorted by the till but not for table service so had to leave our things upstairs unattended while we waited. Not the best service really.

Cold burger and service was shocking as was to stop asking when my oder will turn up and shut up and sit down .

The best McDonalds I have ever visited. The staff were friendly and one staff member were talking to customers asking if our food was ok
