Update (20/07/24)- still getting orders wrong, unable to count 4 hash browns, only receiving 2. I check everything now before i leave. Absolutely useless. These kids really need to go back to school. They can't read orders, probably the management too! 0/5

AVOID ALL COSTS, never find out house on delivery even tho Amazon does and every other company does and its not a new build also went into the store and when speaking to the shift manager Dillon he went on his phone and ignored me when 75% of our order was missing service is shocking

We had very good quality food from this particular McDonald's restaurant on our way back from a concert. It was gone midnight, we were all very hungry, and McD's was the only option. But it turned out to be a very good option! Food was very fresh, hot, crispy salted fries... We couldn't fault it! Top marks!!

I was really hungry after my aerobics so i went and had my breakfast ....

Poor disinterested service. Disgusting toilets. Lots of menu choices unavailable.

Absolutely outstands me every time I order from here whether on delivery or in store my order is wrong, or items missing. Not sure why it’s so difficult to ensure all items paid and ordered for are in the bag.

Only had coffee but quick and easy.

I have been to this particular McDonald's three times in the past five years or so. The first two visits the fries weren't cooked properly so were hard in the middle. The third visit the person taking the orders at the Drive thru disappeared. I eventually had to order from the other drive thru post. It took 25 minutes to order and receive a simple cheeseburger and fries. I don't know who the manager is there but they need to sort things out

Very very bad Mc i have seen in Cardiff, takes ages for preparing orders, some time order used to be ready but they no care they not coming to see and entertain rider/driver, we keep using bell to take their attention but all in vain

What a terrible experience. my boy and I waited for 40 minutes after ordering, but they didn't prepare meals for me.

Do not order for delivery via this McDonald's, this is my 3rd time getting a wrong order from them. Order through the app and it arrives incorrect, call via the app which directs me to Uber. Uber say they can't process a refund I have to call the restaurant, call the restaurant they tell me I can't get a refund I need to call Uber. The only solution is to apparently drive down there to get it made again, wasting the money spent on delivery. Doesn't make any sense. They need far better quality control on orders that go out for delivery.

Waited for my sandwiches for 15min to be told by rude staff that "someone took it". Manager (Lion) could not explain or handle it properly either. Staff was horrible and they shouldn't be allwed to work in dirty uniforms .... IMPROVE Mc'D

Food can be hit or miss (mainly if getting delivered, food is always cold and on a few occasions they have forgotten to put some of the order in the bag) never had a problem ordering in store

Use the drive through most mornings for a coffee, always takes around 3/4 mins for my Order to be taken Also on a few occasions they could only take cash???

I’ve been here no less than 20times and every single time they miss out items off the order and then give me terrible attitude when I tell them, DONT GO TO THIS DIVE, RUN BY IMMATURE SIMPLE LITTLE CHILDREN WHO DONT KNOW THEIR ARSE FORM THEIR ELBOW, GO TO WESTERN AVENUE INSTEAD!!!

I am a regular due to my kids and use drive through. Today experience was absolutely horrible. The staff taking payment was rude and unable to understand Order when repeated 3 times. May be English was a big problem for them. Once she took the payment, her facial expression were absolutely despicable. I felt embarrassed in front of my whole family. No payment receipt given even I asked for and told to move to the next window. My order was 2 kids happy meals. On the next window I was told to wait in the waiting bay. No body turned up in 10 min so I had to get off the car to approach the serving window again and I was told to wait while other customers getting served. Finally got the order and that lady was nice. I guess tge staff on the payments were students and don’t believe in good customer service. Of course, it’s not their own shop. But McDonald has lost a regular customer today.

It's a mcdonalds fast good restaurant - the building it has taken over used to be a cracking little pub known as "The Ty Glas". I wouldnt go as far as to call mcdonalds a restaurant more a place for local youths to congregate in numbers and boy racers to park up in their corsas being bad boys 🤷‍♂️ other wise it's a mcdonals fast food chain "restaurant"

Usually great but just recently items have been missing... sauces straw's drinks and one time the whole of the food was missing

Because the food was cold I paid £30 and I only got a Big Mac

Shambles, stick in the drive through for 20mins to be told that their machines weren't working. Then another 20mins waiting for food.

Very busy with kids parties on a Sunday lunchtime - but staff were coping and our order came out promptly.

Only ice cream I eat from them Rest, is not for humans

We use the drive through regularly, sometimes have to repeat our order sometimes the staff have a problem understanding the English language., we regularly have coffee,always have to ask for sugar and it's hit and miss whether we receive a wooden stirrer to stir our drinks a number of times get wrong food and no dips

Absolutely disgraceful service after missing item off my order drove back up and all they could say was sorry. Mc Donald’s you really need to employ better educated staff especially if they cannot read an order. As always chips are cold yet again 😬

Actual joke for the franchise... Obvious disorganisation and inability to handle more than 2 customers. Any inspection of a busy period would show it unfit for purpose.

They never get out order right at the drive through and we always have to drive back to get the food we actually ordered.

Nice clean restaurant. All staff are a little new which is no reflection on the food or service. I only dropped a star as there's plenty of seating, but too few parking spaces. The parking has caused an issue each time I have visited, also cars parked on the entrance road make it one way. I highly recommend the veggie wrap and veggie nuggets - they're a great alternative to meat - this is the future of food.

Ordered via the app. Little queue at drive through, food arrived quickly, and it was hot.

Lovely place, friendly and courteous staff. I went with the kids and they got a lovely activity parcel. They came home and have started working on it. Grateful for the engagement and fun they're having with the activities.

Typical McDonald's. Pretty much always do drive through. Only peeve, they forget the dips on collection app orders which is annoying.

as always, good food. 4 stars because my friend ordered an oreo mcflurry and was given a maltesers one without any note or reason of the change, and i was not provided a receipt after ordering

It's McDonald's so you know what you're getting, but in this day and age, with prices increasing, you expect better in terms of service. We frequently have sauces missing for example, especially using the drive through, which means having to park and go in. Also had issues with customised orders due to my daughter's allergies. My son loves the sweet chilli chicken wrap but there's often hardly any sauce in it at all. It's in a nice spot and it's generally very clean but needs to do better.

Spot on. Puts my local in WSM to shame. This place was well mannered NOT dripping in Greece and there was not a single piece of litter to be seem at all. Well done to your branch, an example to all mcdonald's franchises.

I used to come to this site regularly when it was the Ty Glas pub for their delicious Sunday lunches which is sadly no more. It's just your usual mc Donald's place but they do table service as well. I would be happy to return here when I am next in the area.

Our (large) Uber Eats order seemingly vanished after it had been made, and the team here were really good and remade and resent the order to us within a short while despite the inconvenience.

Was waiting to long for the food

Food was not good to be honest i dont know why we go there may be its because of price you can get much much better burgers and stuff from other places. Service is gone slow sitting area is good and its good fun for kids

Not a happy experience at all, cold food, slow service.

Awful place, in comparison to the other MD's around Cardiff. After ordering, we waited at the counter, where our food, sat for 5 minutes while the staff, served all the Uber eats delivery drivers that came in after us, during this time we had to ask for our food again, which was now cold. We were then given a part order, forcing us to revisit the service counter during eating our cold food and wait for another 10 minutes for the rest of our order. The ambient music was suited for those who like a particular style/sound that resembled an artist just talking loudly while we eat our cold food. This did not make us feel relaxed or welcomed. A security guard was patrolling the restaurant area, making us feel, uneasy, not sure why the security guard was there but probaly waiting for something to kick off, felt like we were not at a safe place to eat. Very poor experience, not to return.

My son had his 8th birthday party at Buzz Park and we came to McDonalds for their food afterwards. We phoned prior to arriving and the manager set up an area for 16 children, with colouring activities, masks and flags. Once food was ordered, all drinks arrived within minutes and the food wasn't far behind. Each meal was correct, hot and brought over in an organised way. I can't thank the manager and staff enough and will definitely consider coming back for another Birthday party meal for the kids. Thank you!

One of the best McDonald's branches in Cardiff, staff as fast yet polite and the restaurant itself is often clean.

Edited 22/3/23 Waited 20mins for a regular cappucino and small fanta, for the cappucino to come with no froth or chocolate, and luke warm. Fella that came in after me, left saying he'd be back for a refund as he'd been waiting ridiclous time for a coffee too! Staff are the slowest ive ever seen, often sounds like a youth club back there, with more people staring at screens than sorting the orders. Absolutely sod all improvement since the last poor review 6 months ago. Continue to prioritise Web orders/drive thru over guests that make the effort to walk through the doors -------> Shocking. Regularly don't adhere to the amendments like extra cheese, no egg. Ripping customers off and giving what they havent asked for. Wait for food is usually considerable, definitely not FAST food.

Everytime I order from here it's usually wrong or just put together very poor. They seem to not care how they send out the quality of food. I've had the beef missing out of beef burgers sent to me which is a bit annoying but can only laugh at how dull the staff can be here.

Good clean light spacious outlet. A little slow on serving, but could have been time of day.

Long waits and that always results in cold food.. they seem more interested in the just food set up these days

What's there to say. It's a McDonald's. Not one of the better ones either to be honest. The usual issue is the the daleks you have to order at have a habit of not spitting out the receipt with the order summary on it. Anyone who has been inside one of these establishments with young children will be aware how easy it is to forget exactly what you have ordered almost as soon as you have thumped the touch screen thingy in order for it register your want. This will leave you trying to remember your order number and hoping they get the order right as you have no proof of what you originally ordered or how much you have paid. Heaven forbid if you mention this to the staff. The blank look you will as they wander off is almost comical. Drive through is not much better either. We have now taken to stopping in the car park as we forensically dismantle the contents of our bag just to ensure that it bares some semblance of what we asked for.

Was served by Praveel, excellent service and made the fillet-o-fish to perfection. Never had one so perfectly assembled. Give this man a raise!

Disaster visit, the place has gone down hill since the opening. The attitude of the staff is disgusting and the cleaning schedule must be reviewed as the place is a dirty rat hole.

This place is proper poor quality even for a McDonald’s always find there’s missing items no sauces and even by time you pull up in car park to eat the cheese and stuff on the burgers has gone hard , cold fries etc these poor kids got no hope if they can’t flip and serve burgers

Made an order on Uber eats for breakfast and took nearly 45 mins for my order to arrive, and when it had arrived it was cold and half the ingredients were missing.

Do not go here if you'd like milkshake/frape as its never working

Paid for my food on the app but this 24hr McDonalds was closed at 10:30pm because they had 'ran out of food'. Was shouted at through a window to 'get a refund!'. Nice.

Would like to give 0 stars but unfortunately that isnt an option😂 visited today with family and the conversation that happened with the "manager" was absolutely appalling. Cursed me out in front of the whole restaurant and my 11 year old sister in law who was with me. This woman needs to be sacked!! Tried calling to the branch to make a formal complaint but suprise suprise nobody is picking up the phone.

Food was absolutely freezing, all drinks and McFlurry missing and one of the burgers has a shiny liquid that looks like saliva. Complaining to Uber!

Slow service. No ice cream. No in store I pads working as all had been removed

In my personal experiences, this restaurant has consistency. Each time I’ve been, food has been hot, tasty and any issues are resolved appropriately. Yes there is sometimes a bit of a wait if you go in to the restaurant as there is a significant amount of orders through 3rd party apps. However it’s usually worth it.

It's a very busy place it took to long for the food.the young man who took my order was very helpful.but for a take away 30 minutes was to long to wait.

A nice restaurant with friendly staff

Sold me fake Coca Cola. Purchased a small coke late at night and the whole place was empty the coke tasted nothing like the original this cola was one of the cheap copies bought from a local store like an ASDA or Tesco brand. Tasted bubble gummy like BARR cola they must have replaced it for the original. The wait times for FAST food is atrocious ordered 20 nuggets took 20 minutes literally the management here is poor extremely poor I might as well have gone to a restaurant and waited for food. Also served a napkin with a “pinkish” stain on it worst McDonald’s I’ve been to ever.
