McDonald's in York

I have never walked into a Macdonald and feel sick all the tables was dirty floors was also dirty staff are very inexpensive also got order Rong had to go ask for things that was missing waited 35 mins for food to be brought to table as I am disabled young lad just more or less throw try on table never said a word I will not be returning to the one again

I must either be stupid or cursed for going back to this sh!t show of a franchise (or possibly because it’s the only thing on my route!) I went to the drive through again (another mistake) and placed a simple order of a quarter pounder with cheese but with no pickle. Now you’d think that was easy enough to sort out but sadly not, they even managed to cock this up What I ended up with was a burger with no onion or tomato sauce but the saving grace was no pickle either! How can one place contain so many inept people???? Please can Burger King or KFC open up next door to save any more crap service!

After a delay on the A64 due to an accident we called here for breakfast. The restaurant was not busy and clean and tidy especially the toilets. The food and coffee was o k.

The worst .... truly awful. The only highlight was the really helpful lady who was cleaning tables and helping diners ... the rest of it was garbage. Cold fries and a burnt burger .... one star is probably me being optimistic and charitable

Arrived this morning and went to the drive thru, waited approximately 5 minutes watching other cars order and drive on (even at my order point until it was my turn) while nobody engaged with me and asked for my order. My partner in the end went to the window and pointed this out and was told to drive up and order directly I placed the order and was told to go to the next window which we did and from there was asked to go to the next window to wait for our order. After approximately 15-20 minutes of waiting and watching other cars pull in and have staff go to their cars with orders we asked where ours was. A manager was called who started off saying they were short staffed, which strangely enough there looked to be enough working when we drove by. When I commented on other cars coming in after us and getting served his response was that there order will have been ready before ours, obviously he couldn’t fathom out the fact that cars coming in 10 minutes after me and getting their orders well before mine was an issue. In the end I asked for a refund which was given but without any apology for the poor service. Probably the worst branch I have ever visited for service. A

Went through the drive through. It took forever to get served!! When we got home the staff forgot to put in halloumi fries and an happy meal toy even though we had paid for them. Very annoying … and a very disappointed child.

Second time disappointed, cold coffee cold food, 2nd time no coffee or soft drinks available, had to wait more than 10 min for food, I asked staff what the hold up was ,and was told nothing to do with you mate. Shame....

Repeated disappointment. Last visit very rude staff left us waiting 3 or so minutes for paying. coffee cold. No remorse no apologies. Just nasty expressions from staff. In fact complacent attitudes by both windows. Previously on a visit no burger in burger. Had already driven miles to find no meat in burger. Then other occasions cold cold cold. Food not served, missing items...... Giving this branch a miss in future. Endless chances. But no improvement.

Disgusting place, bins overflowing, food all over the floor, super slow staff! Overall grubby feel to the place

Not hgv friendly, no parking and fines, it a grab your cash and run places,not interested in people just money,no clear signs on the a64 for hgv just a sign saying service

Appalling place! It was under-staffed, dirty tables, overflowing bins both inside and out, and many mixed up orders during the time I was there. Despite being busy, tho I’m sure people were there (like us) for convenience rather than its reputation, it was an experience not to be repeated. No receipts were given for digital orders taken; no table service; missing items on the menu; not enough dedicated staff (once I’d suggested the bins ought to be emptied so that tables could be cleared for customers, I witnessed a young member of staff stood in front of an overflowing bin being more interested in her mobile phone than the job in hand); toilets disgusting and mostly unusable; no soap and no cleaning rota adhered to. What a shame. It’s in a prime spot but customers really should give this dreadful place a miss.

Came at 10pm and there was still breakfast wrappers on and under tables, every single table was filthy and staff didn’t care. Dropped our drink by accident and went to tell a member of staff only to be ignored until we pointed out they were serving a staff member their break before even looking at us (having walked past us more than three times!) by the time we got it sorted we also had to have our food replaced as it was stone cold and then still had to return to ask for straws.

Very quiet when we arrived ..Absolutely diabolical ,food cold ,lemonade was flat ..asked to swap the chips for hot ones and the drink ,lazy staff busy talking between themselves had to shout for service and asked if they could possibly bring the drinks over as it took ages before they sorted it ..,,never again will I call here after spending over £30 worst McDonald’s I’ve been too

Usually travel there on the way home from work, but just recently the staff won't allow drive thru orders When I ssked why I was told "I don't know".What is the point of having a drive thru when it can't be used at night? At least have the decency to explain why and also shut off the drive thru.

Chips and food were cold. The entire place was dirty and untidy; looked as if there had been some sort of looting. There was no napkins, and all the bins were overflowing. All in all, it was terrible. I would definitely avoid this McDonalds.

flat coke, cold, soggy, tasteless chips, burger would have been passable if it was anything other than lukewarm. They spilled my son's milkshake on his chips and thought it was amusing. Absolutely awful. But the people keep coming....

8pm 29 Dec 2022 stopped off for food mid journey North. The entrance was strewn with bags and rubbish blowing around. Tables filthy & covered in empty trays & bags. Food cold, burgers falling apart, and totally different fillings despite being same orders, server forgot sauces ordered, and no napkins. Table had phone charger wires cut and accessible on table top, dangerous. Toilets filthy, no loo roll, soap or paper towels. Called as we left and spoke to the most obnoxious manager, not at all bothered, claimed she was being “disrespected” when challenged why the place was such a mess, no customer skills, no manners, no apology. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Broke down on the double yellows got going again in about two minutes recieved a sixty pounds charge two weeks later now £170 won't be calling again

Absolutely awful girl on the till was totally useless then had to reorder again at the second till had somehow lost the order then got back home and realised we didn’t have half our meal then rang McDonald’s and they were absolutely no help McDonald’s sort this out. You are terrible, not coming here again.

So bad. They put all of our order through separately so the cost for 2 medium meals was near £15! The girl serving us was useless. Had to repeat our order multiple times and she still got it wrong. We asked for large meals, got medium. No screen for us to see our order as she entered it so we could correct it before paying. Assumed it was about right because we’d asked for large. When we challenged this after paying, the manager said oh I don’t know how to fix it since you paid on card. It’ll be an extra 40p or something for large (even though we’d paid well over the odds anyway for our meals). We just told her to leave it in the end. Got our order and had to chase up the sauce for the chicken selects as they were missing, and we went and sat outside as inside was heaving (probably due to Leeds festival) and there were wasps everywhere. Landed on my parters food so he couldn’t eat it, and had to leave to escape the wasps. Seems to be a common theme that every McDonald’s gets orders wrong, miss items off your order, cold food etc. The one positive about this McDonalds was that the food was actually hot, but assume that’s because it was so busy they had chips constantly cooking

Restaurant was generally dirty - food, etc on tables and floor. Staff not wearing gloves when cleaning. Debris on floor missed when cleaning. Hot drinks and chips were cold. Manager advised us 'it wasn't their fault, they're busy'.

Terrible experience, the food was all flat cold from the drive through and in particular these were the worst McDonalds chips I’ve had in years they were cold and soggy but also so how slightly stale. Very disappointing.

Really clean and tidy. Very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend. The service was fast and efficient. There is a great feel around the restaurant and it’s the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been too!

Excellent welcome on arrival. Order taken very quickly and efficiently. Usual standard of drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Off road parking but note there is a maximum of 90 minutes stay in the car park, any longer and you will get a fine.
