McDonald's in Amber Valley

Yet another delivery of cold food, so yet another phone call to the restaurant! Advised (again) to log on to the App, go on to the chat and ask for a refund! The chat told us to contact the courier! Passing the buck again! I obviously never learn - but this time I really mean it, I just won’t use them again!

Ordered for a delivery at around 6pm, food was supposed to of been delivered at 6:55pm, didn't receive it until nearly 8pm. Very unhappy with the service and the kids (5 of them) were having to wait even longer too!

Could just do with friendlier staff, tables being cleaned properly - across the top and around the edges

I live in Ilkeston and I drive to the one at Langley Mill because it's much better than the one in Ilkeston. The fries aren't stale and the burgers aren't lukewarm. Service is very good too.

This is the worst McDonalds ever ! I have never received my full order via uber and the drive through is terrible again you never receive all items and its slow and painful and the staff dont know what they are doing this store needs work and staff need training or removing last time i go here im done with it

Dont try to pay in cash here Would give this no stars if I could. Placed an order on the machine to pay at till .No one on till and the staff seemed unable see me standing there , even though they kept walking past the till to fill drink cartons. They where to busy filling take away bags for deliveru to notice. Order numbers where called out for those who came in after me and they got their order ,so when it got four number past mine I threw my order ticket on the counter and left.

Cold food again, every time I always get cold food they really need to up their game on this...

Orders always have something wrong or missing, service is slow and painful. The drinks never have ice in them and it makes a massive difference to the taste. Place over run with rude, ignorant Uber drivers who take up all the tables and parking spaces. Hucknall and Ilkeston much better, would rather drive further than deal with this store

Ordered breakfast. everything was wrong! Also paid extra for double cheese and double mcmuffin but just received regular ones. The bag came soaked because of the drinks so the straw was soggy. No reply from the store and no reply from uber. Waste of money!

I don't normally eat McDonald's food but what a joke the so called burger meals are so small it,s beyond a joke do they really think food is going up in price but items are getting smaller the final straw was the apple pie it's half the size it was the public are not stupid and can see what is going on I will no longer use these places full stop for food

The cafe on the precinct has closed. So I thought it would be quick to nip to mc Donalds Wanted a bacon roll and cup of tea ,while waiting for a train . Ordered from the machine to pay at counter , as I wanted to pay in cash .There was no staff at the till, so I thought they would fill my order and then I would pay. All they seemed bothered about was filling bags for delivery. People came in behind my and their number was called out and they got their order, I assume they had payed at the machine , when it reached four numbers past mine I put my order ticket on the counter and left. I dont even think they noticed A complete waste of time.

So this is my regular place unfortunately and while I have a McDonald’s from here once ever two weeks or so I never get fries as when they deliver it’s always not salted or cold , I live about 5min drive away just in Eastwood so there isn’t really an excuse for it . However tonight’s order was horrific , waiting just over 1 and a half hours (8:15pm-9:55pm) we were greeted with our food lukewarm and I had a Big Mac that tasted off and I have a upset stomach from it also we had the cheese dippers and they exploded due to being either over cooked or just left in the food warmer for all that time . Seriously the worse part despite me feeling ill is the fact McDonald’s and Uber eats were the hardest to get hold of . Btw we ordered a domino’s as it was taking too long and we had no option to cancel the order and I have had no problems in fact it arrive 10mins after the original order. So I’m gonna try a different McDonald’s after this absolutely disgusting.

Nice McDonald's, food was hot, was hard to find a parking space for us but we were there at peak time

Its mac ds now it's doing on line orders it just too slow on drive through and even worse if you eat in too me only consenting on line orders

This place keeps getting worse as time goes on. My latest, and probably last visit was to get pancakes for breakfast for the family and a coffee for the wife. Having just got back from a week on holiday at 2am the previous night, we had no food in to feed the children. I was greeted first of all with a new card reader that's fixed in place and very difficult to operate from inside a vehicle. Having managed on my 3rd attempt to actually pay for my order I drove to the collection window where I was handed my wife's coffee without sugars or stirrer and asked to park up and wait. This isn't anything unusual in of itself as you vert often get asked to wait for food here, 6 minutes later they bring me my kids pancakes but haven't brought the sugars or stirrer for the coffee. I ask the staff member for them. They said they'd bring them. Another few minutes go by and she brings me 2 stirrers but still no sugars. When I finally get everything I'd asked for and driven the 2 minutes down the road to where I live the coffee was luke warm and the pancakes were stone cold.

Just spent 15 minutes waiting in drive thru when I was the only customer. Manager with beard and sleeve too busy chatting to girls. Constantly out of stock. Or they say they are. I dont think theyve ever filled or replaced the receipt paper. Like come on, how much effort is it. The managers here are clearly appalling.

Focus too much on deliveries now

It was very good but service was a bit slow even though it was not very busy.4/7/24 It's got a lot better than last time I went the food was hot for a change .Which makes it more enjoyable. The service was good.

Ordered through just eat, courier was at the restaurant for over 2 hours. Multiple unanswered phone calls no food ever delivered

Would rate this place 0/5 Went through the drive through and the girl on the speaker wouldn't allow us to talk and she kept rudely interrupting. When we got to the pay window she changed the wrap meal to a singular wrap, we told her it was a medium meal not a singular wrap. She told us it was the meal, then we got to the main window and they didn't give us chips so we told them and the girl rudely slams the window open and says it's our fault when the incompetent women messed up our order. So we had to go in speak to the manager and she stood there laughing.

Great service very polite and fast service

For a maccys the food is generally slow, mildly warm most of the time - I congratulate the staff though as they've always got a smile even though they're clearly over worked and under paid. Oh and FYI - make sure to check your order before you leave

Just come back from McDonald's in Langley Mill, 2 pm on Friday the 30th of August 2024. The place was fairly empty, which is what we were hoping for because we thought that would guarantee us quick service and a hot meal. We got the quick service, but the whole meal was barely warm, looked appalling and a few of my fries were actually raw. £16 for two people to eat cold food isn't good enough McDonald's, especially when they weren't busy, that equates to 10, yes 10 of our favourite stone baked spicy chicken pizzas from Aldi, with enough left over for a pack of chocolate bars!! Something really need to be done about this and quickly too!!

It says it's 24 hours and yet the past two times I've gone early in the morning for breakfast, the drive through is coned off and the door is locked

I don't know what has happened at this mcdonalds lately, but everytime we go lunch time we are waiting 15-20 minutes for food, food is always cold, never a nice temperature, food looks thrown together and un appetising. Sauces always missing. Might as well throw money in the bin as this is where the food ends up.I've complained several times it does not get any better. We seem to now have an issue with the portions of fries. Is it just us or is anyone else getting not even half full portions of fries? Also never have any jam here for the plain muffins they send for breakfast! I just give up.

Awful when it comes to delivery, last 4 out 6 deliveries they have missed items out

We had 2 burgers each the £1.45 ones asked for extra sauce and to our surprise it looked like a hamburger Eton Mess

Order in advance through the app, then food is brought to your table. Very simple process, no need to stand around waiting!

Literally never had a correct order from this particular McDonalds (out of maybe 5 or 6 orders over a couple of years). The staff are beyond incompetent. I can only assume its a management issue as they are responsible for making sure their staff know what they're doing. There are ALWAYS items wrong or missing and not to mention the time we sat in the waiting bay for 30mins before going into the store only to be told "we lost your receipt". They didn't think to question why a car had been parked up for 30mins while they kept bringing other orders out. I feel sorry for the staff, if you can't read items off a list then put them items into a bag, they have no hope of achieving anything in life. What's left if you can't even make it working at a McDonalds lol...

When you have school kids running it and school kids working there that explains why the orders are always wrong and food is freezing

Never ever in 5 months have they sorted out the milkshake machine still not working and the worst car park arrangement ever. nice staff though Well 1 year later and yes they have vastly improved no more problems and the cleanest mcdonalds around toilets especially well done your team

Perfect if you want warm/cold fries and burger, and you never want a receipt (they never print). A far cry from the typical high mcdonalds standards.

To say how busy this mcdonald's gets the fries are somehow never salted. Everything else is your standard can't go wrong Maccies apart from them fries

Can't seem to get a single order right and just don't seem bothered when you go in to have it put right, no apology and no rush whilst the rest of your order goes cold or melts.

Sick of wasting money at this place. Just got home to find half my order missing yet again. Pathetic ridiculously poor service couldn't be worse if they tried.

Why have opening times if you don't open on time

Always use the drive through at this McDonalds, usually very quick service, food always good, never had issues, staff always helpful and friendly. Only issue with this spot is that it's located beside a round about and cars come flying at you as you're trying to exit, makes it harder to exit because there's a McDonalds sign to the right which is the side of the round about making it more challenging at times but this isn't a fault of McDonalds, it's a small plot of land and popular as its always got customers.

DOES THIS PLACE GET ANYTHING RIGHT, EVEN AT 6AM EVERY SINGLE TIME ORDER IS INCORRECT. Worst mcdonalds ever! 1- Never ever ever ever get your order correct. Been in person and via uber eats, every single time they get my order wrong, extremely frustrating made complaints before no difference wont be going again.

Items ordered did not turn up. Phoned restaurant only to talk to a very rude and un helpful male manager who refused to give his name. Passed me to a female colleague, who said she was the manager and was just as un helpful and then she hung up the phone mid conversation. Again refusing to say who I was speaking with. Disgusting behaviour. If they are the two to lead by example there is not alot of hope for the other staff

Just been through the drive through, lad taking orders/money was super lovely and charming, you doing a super job.

Service on the drive through is shoddy at best. DO NOT use the left hand lane for drive through orders as they only appear to only take orders from the right hand lane when it is busy. This happens because the person taking orders for the left hand lane is also responsible for fulfilling orders. This has happened on the last 3 occasions. Spoke to a manager in person who agreed but that the system wasn't working but was unable to rectify the situation. When asked why he doesn't shut the lane the reply was he isn't allowed to. Had to actually ring the restaurent on the last visit and was told they were taking orders even though we, and another car, were still waiting while 5 cars from the righthand lane went through. *got home and we have someone else's order. SORT OUT THE DRIVE THROUGH MCDONALDS.

Ordered from uber eats , very quick delivery, food stone cold and half of it missing , contacted uber they said restaurant fault . Rang Langley mill one and manager said uber eats fault . Never again horrendous customer service 😡😡😡😡😡

Waited 18 minutes for a big Mac meal and halloumi fries the other day. When the order came to my car. They had forgotten my milk shake and the ketchup that came with the halloumi fries. Not that hard to get an order wrong. When I hadn't ordered a feast!

Genuinely the worst McDonalds i’ve ever been to. Usually I can see past little mistakes but this is about the 8th time I’ve had to park up for 20 minutes just to get freezing food, stale chips and no sauce. Paid for a double quarter pounder, got a regular one. Whoever owns this franchise should genuinely start having a hands on approach and see how pathetic this McDonalds is. I’ve never had an issue with any other McDonalds apart from this one. I used to work at Ripley years ago so I know how easy it is.

I was waiting 20 minutes for my food, McDonald’s is suppose to be a fast food restaurant, there is nothing fast about Langley mill McDonald’s. Instead of people waiting ages in the drive thru que they are making everyone park up and there was no spaces to start so I was told to drive around the car park wasting my petrol. Can’t understand why the food takes so long to make as there is more than 10 staff working. It’s ridiculous. The food was freezing g when it finally came out. It was disgusting

How can you charge £14.74 for a Big mac meal and a cheeseburger. You ask the staff if that is right and they say should be. Chips were cold and the burger looked liked it was just slopped together. Will not be going there again and the staff should know what they are doing and charging very dissatisfied and to top it all off the screen doesn't work that tells you what you have ordered and how much plus no receipt given

Absolutely lovely experience my son is Autistic & had his fingers in his ears 1 of the young staff members asked if i would like the music turning down for him which was lovely of them to do, all the staff were very polite & happy!5🌟

Wife took it back and turns out another customer had taken it back cuz it was cold and was given back out to me for my meal. This place is an absolute disgrace!!!!!!

Foods always burnt and freezing by the time it gets here (we order delivery), just ordered again and we’re given 2 bags of drinks because they were the only bags given to the driver. I don’t know how that’s even possible because the two bags literally have different codes and delivery food and delivery drinks are literally in separate bags that look different and have different codes. Rang up and they said just order again but we don’t have time.

Does no one check all the food is there? Missing med fries I paid for. Have to check in future when you get the food because no one seems to check when they hand the food over.

Totally awful experience! Constant bleeping noises! Made me very very uncomfortable and nauseous and my ears were nearly bleeding! Also the McDonald's app location didn't work in this restaurant even though I tried it outside! Told the staff and they said "yes it's a problem in this restaurant" Ordered sausage and egg McMuffin meal which tasted ok but began oozing out loads of weird liquid! Also the tea tasted awful. Definitely not coming to this place again!

This is the worse McDonalds I’ve ever come across. Staff are rude when you want to be served. Food is always cold and stale. And as for the hot chocolate don’t get me started. Everytime I get one it’s water. Look at the photo of that hot chocolate and tell me how that’s acceptable

18/11/2023 I used my loyalty points to treat myself at mcdonalds Langley mill and used the mcdelivery service.. ive recently just recieved my mc delivery app order via uber , using the app . i even used my built up award points and order myself a tasty few treats , consisting of mc crispy , fries and a mini mc flurry my order number or code on the reciept is 7NWC-CTFZ-96YD i am honestly hand my my heart dissipointed and upset, the food after it eventually arrived was stone cold and i mean stone cold .. the mcflurry was melting too ive been unable to contact the langley mill store direct , uber eats wont answer the phone so ive taken to email I am 1.3 miles away from the store and a 4 min drive.... ONLY so no excuse for such a long wait and to receive STONE COLD FOOD and a poor experience i am totally gutted your ruined my saturday night in treat . i waited a age. and then got a miserable delivery driver, who was not aplogetic in anyway . IVE RANG UBER THEY SAY. THE DELIVERY DRIVER DELIVERED THE FOOD IN A ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF TIME.. MCDONALDS STORE MANAGER I EMAILED SAID ITS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM I GOT COLD FOOD AND TO CONTENT UBER..... end if the day facts are facts 1.3 miles and supposedly 4 min drive. Shouldn't equal to nearly a hours wait and stone cold food and zero customer service from uber and mcdonalds. AVOID THEM..

Local mcdonalds to me and they always get mine, my friends, my families orders wrong. Something is missing or they gave us the wrong thing. The have changed it when asked but always an inconvenience. One or two times fair enough but it's every 2 out of 3 times. Only go when im hungry tired and cba cooking so forget to check the order or check but dont see everything. Shouldn't have to get my whole order out to check its there everytime I go.

Paid for premium burger meal and a happy meal, it was a busy period and food was delayed my burger was stone cold to the point where it had to been assembled cold as the cheese was still solid like it came out the fridge. Fries were unsalted and still warm after I had a few bites of my chilled burger. The worst burger I've ever had in Mcd's and staff didn't want to stop to take me seriously, so we left never to return again. Eat here at your own risk.

Got home and found mozzarella dips instead of chicken selects in the chicken selects box.

We stopped coming here because the food was never warm...first visit in over a year and the food was cold. Lesson learned. Avoid.

Swear to god this place is ran by remploy, with staff who repeatedly fail to articulate basic gross motor functions in putting a dip in a bag. Please sack the manager.

What an absolute shambles of a place. Can't comment on the food as we didn't even get it!! Waited for 40mins and when I went to ask where it was I was told no idea but here is your drink...a coffee made at time of order. They just blamed understaffing and said it wasn't their fault they were so busy! If you can't cope with it then knock one of the delivery services on the head. Plus the state of back of house was a disgrace. Burgers, chips, salad all over the floor. God help you if you get an environmental visit. Absolutely rubbish service
