what a crap experience, missed items from order , half filled soda , and wrong items

Very disappointed from start to finish with the service (if you can call it service) Problems with their machine to pay for it. Was not given a receipt. Had to wait for order and when it did arrive was missing a large fries. No serviette supplied. Also their straws with the drink are NOT fit for purpose, made of paper or similar & just collapsed when you try to drink through them! Total experience absolutely pathetic!

My self and my wife disappointed with the response from the Employee and Manager. We ordered double cheeseburger with extra pickle, but after two bite I found there is no pickle added, while enquired about that they ask us check the burger b4 eating.

My wife and I are particularly disappointed with our mcdelivery service and Mcmeal. Having ordered nine chicken selects we were instead given nine chicken mcnuggies that were bland and cold. £20 pounds down the drain, whilst we did eat the chicken nuggies we did so not to waste. I had a double bacon cheeseburger and requested no pickle.. the label stated “no pickle” yet when I began to eat the burger, what did I notice? A pickle. Not to mention that our mcdelivery took mcforever, leaving my wife and I feeling particularly mcsad. Despite these faults we did get our mcmilkshakes.. All in all, Mediocre at best.

Absolutely shocking service, staff are rude and ignorant. Constantly having to wait ages for food even though it is a "fast food" restaurant. Order never seems to be correct, always the wrong item or something missing. Avoid at all costs, use your money in KFC

Mozzarella dippers missing from a takeaway order. This is not the first time something is missing when ordering for a takeaway! That's quite disappointing ... , it seems the staff do not really care if your order is correct when you are not dinning in!

I visited twice to the this branch.And parked in bay 4 and on both visits the staff struggled to find bay 4 in their own car park.As a result my order was late due to staff walking around the car park to find my bay.The staff apologised saying there is two bay 4 but this inaccurate. The second visit once again I ordered and the same problem happened I observed the staff walking to the other end of the car park looking for bay 4 To my disappointment my BBQ Stack house was stale the bun was hard and dry.The sauce and bacon and lettuce was soggy and the burger was completely overcooked was dry and chewy.I asked for a a replacement burger I was given one eventually.For such a big famous brand like McDonalds to serve the public stale food to the public is very bad. Bad management I shall not be visiting this branch again

Consistently horrible cold food. Having been here various times over the years it never fails to disappoint. Today was the last time I ever go breakfast muffin served with a Black patty has the grill even been cleaned! I mean I’m not exactly expecting fine dining but come on this is taking the piss. Also I noticed lots of staff with long hanging hair they should be wearing hair nets this is basic hygiene so I dread to think what else goes on behind the scenes. You have done me a favour as this has convinced me to never step foot in a mc’ds ever again!

Toilets in this place are dangerous to human health. Even breathing in the air inside is bound to be unhealthy for anyone inside. No idea how anyone can eat from this place with the whiff off piss in the air. Absolutely foul Also the milkshake machine still doesn't work. 8 years later.

I went in and paid for my food, but I wasn’t allowed to order with my friend and when my food came, they didn’t let any teenager sit inside so we had to sit out in the freezing cold and all my food got cold in two seconds and I’m not happy

Worst McDonald's I have set foot in they got my order wrong to start with and the young staff were not listening at all Ended up with big mac meals with cold fries and burnt buns There was have eaten food on the floor next to our table not nice to see so when I told the staff member they said yes I see it and left it, never cleaned it up even when another family sat at the table how disgusting and unclean, very unhygienic This place needs to address these situations and train staff fully before environmental health get a call

McD at Fort Kinnaird is spacious and the staff are very friendly. If you shop at fort Kinnaird it is ideal to have a quick eat. The drive through is popular.

As one of the busiest in Scotland, due to the location, I get they are busy. But everytime we go, something is missing or wrong. This means either missing out, if you do not check, or going back, then the remaining food goes cold. It's a joke that they cannot get this right every time. Chips usually cold. I worked in McDonald's so I know this is just laziness cooking them to suit themselves and not the customer. AVOID!!!

Ordered a burger , big tasty, no cheese, got back to work, it has cheese and no bacon. On the box the label states no cheese, can’t these people read, totally ruined my lunch

Absolutely awful. Fries cold, cheese bite lukewarm at best, burgers thrown together , looked as though thrown in bag as 2 lots of fries tipped out. No sauce for the cheese bites which is supposed to be included, no sugar for tea (which if known at order I would’ve changed to water or juice) . On collection the server was disinterested in any form of customer service , didn’t engage much at all , pretty dismissive attitude . Haven’t been to this McDonald’s in a while and won’t be back in a longer while .

I had to sit outside in the cold as they were only letting one teenager in at a time, when i actually got into the mcdonalds it took 20 minutes to get my food and when i got my food it was cold. while i was sitting outside eating there was a big group of teenagers younger than me shouting and arguing with the security guard which made my time at this mcdonalds not an enjoyable experience. Just because some people around my age are bad does not mean all of us are bad.

They would not let any teenagers sit inside because of their age and just because some are bad doesn’t mean you should have all of them eating outside in the cold and have one by one get their food.

Since the refurbishment, I have yet to receive a correct order, with at least one item missing each time. Staff are not interested in correcting the order, they simply offer a "sorry".

This location cheeseburgers are way worse than compared to one at West princess street

We ordered a fairly straight forward breakfast meal. Considering we were the only guests in the restaurant at the time it took a fair while, and they made two mistakes. The place was clean and modern looking though.

Undercooked and mushy chicken nuggets

The food was good but it could do to be hotter. Good selection of music, but you can't hear your customer number being called. Thank you to the young female assistant (sorry I didn't catch her name), who went to check on our order and brought it to our table.

The Fort Mcds has rapidly went downhill. I've complained so many times now. Click and Collect on my last two visits took over 20 mins to collect, shock horror they prioritise the Just Eat/Deliveroos etc. The place is staffed with School Kids which isnt there fault, but its slow, can barely get an order right and they strop about. Order placed on the app for drive thru the other night, i had the code in my hand...they couldnt find it. Went to the window...nope still cant find it. Just a joke of a mcdonalds now.

Absolute worst mcdonald’s i’ve ever had!! went there was no organisation what so ever with people shoulder to shoulder and no idea of where to stand to wait for the food. it took forever to receive the food and when i eventually DID get my order, i had ordered a toffee nut latte and it was LUMPY - assuming the milk was spoiled it put me off of my entire meal as i couldn’t even trust that my burger even edible and in worse condition that my coffee. Everyone i ate with had complained about something on their meal being off and i genuinely do not recommend that you go here unless you want to end up with food poisoning.

An excellent deal for a flat white and a sausage, egg McMuffin (£2.79). The coffee is great and you can't beat the price!

Got my order brought it back to little france for my daughter to find the following wrong Cheese burger plain missing Double cheese burger missing Quater pounder with cheese & asked only for cheese on full with all other stuff. Juice only half full as well.

Got cold chicken burger I was in Fort kinnard 2pm 5th September not bother go back ask changeover refund so they should give fresh food not cold soggy burger

I placed an order on the app and was greeted with an error message so I’ve went into the restaurant and ordered via a kiosk and the app with no notification has then processed the order so I’ve now effectively ordered twice and when I spoke to the staff they said they’d get a manager over to sort this, I was then greeted by a rude manager who has told me I was unable to get a refund as there was nothing wrong with my order, so my order was cancelled and no refund given, so I’m not very happy about this, your manager was not very helpful at all

This McDonalds is by far the worst one i have ever ordered from. I ordered through just eat, double quarter pounder meal and 9 selects. My partner also works at a McDonald’s and every time we order this specific place somehow manages to mess up the order it’s actually impressive at this point. Customer service is terrible also, not good enough to be told to come to the store in fort kinnaird so i can claim my missing items that I’ve already paid for. That right there is a joke.

Extremely poor service this evening. Initially the order took a long time to fulfill, and the impression a previous reviewer had that drive through is prioritised over in store customers is true. Once the order was given to us, most of the food was lukewarm, and they had got the order wrong. Upon my wife raising this with the duty manager, he fixed the order but threw an aggressive tantrum, throwing the fries into the bin, when my wife asked for fresh fries as hers had gone cold during the delay. The replacement fries were lukewarm and unsuitable. The fixed order item was also inedible. Also, the longer we stayed we picked up an odour of urine throughout the restaurant.

Everytime we get food here we regret it. We go back as it seems like a good idea when you are in a rush and you are hungry but the food is rubbish and it’s never hot enough

The worst MC I've ever been to. 18min. Waited for the order even though the restaurant was empty. Pomes were cold, one cola was non-carbonated and the Big Mc was missing the top bun🙄 I've never had that before.

The place is shocking, ordered mayo burger and the way it was present was disgusting, eating lettuce with mayo before the burger as it was all hanging out of the burger, second ordered a grilled ceaser wrap even said on the package. Open to to find it was crispy not grilled, the place wasn’t even busy either, overall disgusting

No problem with food or staff! Unfortunately, the atmosphere was ruined by unruly kids who were intent on causing problems. Groups sitting swearing, taking up tables when they hadn't ordered anything. It's not an environment I want my 2 year old son to experience.. the staff seemed to give them chance after chance with no consequences! The security guard seemed to just wander around and do nothing about it.. after speaking to one of the shift managers upon leaving, he said that the police are called every night and that nothing much is usually done about it.. I never ever have had an issue with this location, but after Monday night, I'd be hesitant to return

Absolutely shocking, ordered our food through Justeat, came on time which was great except half the order was missing. Called the restaurant to see if they could send it out, to be told no they don't do that. What I can do is take your name and order and if you'd like to come and collect it. No I don't want to come and collect it I WANT YOU to send me the correct order in the 1st place. On top of that the food we did receive was cold, the fries were half cooked. Well done McDonald's you loose another customer

The most disorganised McDonald’s in Edinburgh. Staff are rude, almost always get the order wrong and it takes them ages to get the food ready even when the store is not busy. Unless my kids are starving and I would not order here. The store at Cameron Toll is much better.

Fairly good. After some bad experience with this restaurant chain, this place seemed quite correct to me. Fast service and a good atmosphere.

This McDonalds review might be seen as unnecessary. It’s a McDonalds after all. The food is standard, although they do have a tendency to under-salt the fries. The McFlurry machine is working almost every time we are here and we rarely have issues with unavailable items - usually only special items at the tail end of their life. However, it is common that the receipt machines at the self service stations do not work. The staff are usually friendly and reasonably fast, although we have experienced long wait times before. This McDonalds is a new style so you can’t see the kitchen or order properly at the till, we personally don’t like it, but it is how it is. This location, however, is excellent if you enjoy people watching and judging. Late afternoon and early evening is the ideal slot to watch children throw food or clothing items at each other (the zone between the magic table and the tablets is the most prominent battle ground). Alternatively, the ones that fit perfectly underneath a carried tray run around and turn your path, or the path of the table service employees, into a true adventure. We have also witnessed footballs and giant gym balls being kicked around. The parents are usually nearby and either on their phone or staring into nowhere. The staff are excellent in cleaning up after the kids and usually the tables are clean shortly after departure of the families. The later the evening gets, the more unaccompanied teenagers come in. Some of them are normal, but many are questionable. We’ve seen everything from Bikini top in February to skimask in July and usually extremely rude, loud, swearing and the beginning stages of fist fights. We have witnessed more than one staff member crying before. The mess they leave behind is usually similar to that of the small kids but it does get cleaned up by the staff. If simple human entertainment is getting boring, the seats near the windows next to the roundabout outside also provides excellent views for bad driving, counting missed turn signals and near miss minor crashes. Jokes aside, this McDonalds needs more security, bring in rules for bad behaviour and make sure their staff are okay, because whilst it might be entertaining on the occasional visit for us, it is their regular job.

we family, came here at 10:38 in the morning and ordered two chsy bac flatbrd and another 3 burgers something. When I received my order, they only gave me one cheese flatbrd, so I asked my husband to ask for the other one. An Indian male employee came over and told him to wait, and he went to get it for me. My husband waited there for 15 minutes, but there was no response. Later, a manager came over and told me that it was already 11 o'clock and there was no breakfast. I was so angry??? So why didn't you tell us in advance, why did you waste our time? We booked breakfast at 10:38, and you obviously gave us less, although you gave us a refund in the end. I still feel very angry. It's okay if you don't have it, it's okay if you made a mistake, why did you leave us hanging there like a fool for 15 mins? if you don't have, tell us early. Super bad experience. and Train your staff well. A female staff saw us waiting there for 15 minutes, she didn't ask any questions, just fiddled with some sugar and salt

Great staff, great food - perfect temperature, quick service, no problem getting a seat during busy dinner rush, restaurant was spotless, toilets were spotless which is a first for any McDonald’s. Best McDonald’s I have ever been to. Would most definitely return.

Staff friendly and helpful, but slow service and coffee consistently only luke warm on 3 consecutive visits. Self service machines often don't provide a receipt, staff happy to print one, but just fix the terminals? Burger and fries were OK but I have received a burger with no salad on one occasion. Not a great example of a McDonald's, just OK.

It was packed with people and no empty seats, the food arrived quickly - it was cold. I got a fillet o fish meal and my burger was all slanted and the sauce was OUTSIDE the burger in the box. I also got a happy meal, mainly for the hello kitty n friends toys, the outside of the happy meal was hello kitty themed, but they gave me the wrong toy. I thought they did it as an accidents but no, the cashier told me with a straight face that they didn’t have any hello kitty toys left. Disappointed

I realise it was 1am just after Taylor Swift but some communication would have been nice. It took about 20mins for my order even though I ordered ahead for pick up. But some people who were waiting when we got there had been stading around for 40mins or more. You can't see into the back to flag anyone down. A staff member would just pop up now and again. I even paid for a bag and they didn't have one. Loved stuffing burgers in my pocket ti take back to the car.

Best in taste and service always, easiest and quickest way to fill your tummy. Never disappointing chain. We love it a lot.

Items are missing half the time you order online. Food is usually fine but it's not infrequent that you get it cold and I live close enough that it shouldn't be a problem.

11 calls still no answer as of yet. Like a monkeys tea party, whole establishment is ran by children who don’t have a clue what they are doing. No one expects 5 star service but this place is by far the worst.

I hate this mcdonalds. I was delighted to receive my vanilla milkshake because it was going to be the only good thing about my horrendous day. I was then in utter dismay when I noticed something rather peculiar about my milkshake. I opened the lid to find that it was in fact not a milkshake, and instead lumpy, curdled ice cream. I wish they didn’t employ incompetent maccies workers that don’t put the ice cream mix in the milkshake dispenser. If there was the option to give 0 stars that would be my review, but even the review system is washed. Apologies for my frustration, but this was so infuriating to me that I almost threw a tantrum in the resteraunt itself.

The most horrible Mcdonald I have ever been. They gave me cold fries so I asked for new one. Get new one and they was even colder lol how this is possible? Fort Kinnaird is such a busy place. Many customers etc and your food it's still cold and not fresh? Girl working on the shopfloor was looking very angry. Her body language and attitude was horrible. Any of your managers can show her how to walk? Like step by step. Put your leg up and down, up and down. Is she part of special competition? How to walk and do 17k steps without lifting foot from the floor? Like I said on the begging. Horrible place.

Too busy, service was OK bit my daughter had a hair in her burger. They did apologise and give her another one. Burgers are alot thinner than they used to be. Very disappointed.

Terrible. My burger was dry with no sauce, the cheese was all over the box and not in the burger, the chips were so dry with zero seasoning and I got 5 nuggets instead of 6.

Omg the burger has got better!!! I’ve told my kids for years the actual burgers are not what once they were and told your wrong. Now they are back!! The meat is better, larger, tastier! Well the Last time I was here before today I was harassed by teenagers who proceeded to harass me with homophobic slurs and sit in my booth and shake my tray of food to get me to leave. I got up and informed staff to be given a shrug and “yeah we get teenagers like that a lot here” and then walk away. Said teenagers had sat down in my booth and thrown my food away. Today at least the staff was helpful and respectful, but the chips were terrible. Like as if they were cooked and reheated. They were either burnt or undercooked. The juice wasn’t good either, tasted more like fizzy water than juice. As said, the staff member today was lovely . Just the food was really bad.

The place was starting to get busy, the food was brought to our table and it was all cold! Sent chips back and when they came back they were still cold! My fillet fish was overcooked and quite hard. I don't order delivery as I like my McDonald's hot, thought that I would get that in the restaurant but I was extremely disappointed and left feeling hungry and it was a waste of money!
