Service was ok but definitely the worst chai latte I’ve ever had- tasteless and basically hot water with cinnamon sprinkled on top.

last year between april and september, I spent whole afternoons sitting at this charming coffee place ! Sunbathing, having delicious lunches, great cakes, or ice-creams. I recommend this place and am waiting for their seasonal reopening.

Wish the council would rent this great location out to a proper food business rather than to amateurs selling inedible cakes in chaotic and filthy surroundings. Then they might also raise some rent and business taxes to fund actual social programmes rather than employment for hippies selling environmentally destructive crystals to idiots.

Briliant place and delivates food and coffe

We loved this place and went back again. Friendly, welcoming, quirky, alternative space in the lovely surroundings of the Meadows. Vegan options, good prices, great staff.....wicker chairs with cushions and blankets for sitting outside in the park or sit in the cosy pavillion. A good place to meet interesting people. Loved the art work in the Victorian toilet!

Very nice place to spend time in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The ice cream was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can sit down outside looking right onto The Meadows.

Good cafe to have a fun time with your friends, read a book, spend your time and have a chill moment. P.S: The rose lemonade is delicious.

We love coming here! The Meadows is full of sun bathers and the cafe is full of friendly people, good food and drink and pleasant atmosphere. The quaint wee garden in the back is cosy and shaded ..perfect for the kids and adults alike. My fav place to frequent in the summer sun

Nice place in the Meadows park. I came here with my teacher and my classmates. I only had something to drink so I don't know how the food is but it looks good and the drink is delicious. The staff are really friendly and the music is fun.

A lovely place to sit for a cuppa and a cake. Loved the way it's been decorated with antiques etc and the loo was one of the most interesting i've ever been in. If you want posh table service type of stuff it's not for you but if you want a nice place to sit and dream away half an our in a relaxed atmosphere with a lovely cuppa and superb cake,this is the one!

This is a great little place. It's a small cafe with not a great amount of seats so you might struggle to sit in. Other than that, it's a great location in the meadows with a nice view. The shape of the pavilion sheilds the seating from the noise of the traffic and you get a sense of peace! Which in a city is a really nice change, especially so close to the centre. The coffe is great and there is a very good selection of cakes. Unfortunately I didn't have any! I shall!!! And report back.

Stumbled on this place while looking for a toilet. And what a place I found! Very quaint cafe. An absolutely delicious and filling falafel wrap - was very happy to be asked whether I wanted hot sauce (yes please!) they also had vegan banana milk in the fridge <3

Very bad service. Seemed they were in a rush with no time to serve clients, very rude. No attention to what I said, didn’t even offered me to warm the food up nor gave me the time to ask to warm it up. The girl could have been stressed, but how are you gonna gain new clients if you treat them like that? Food was ok.

Good location, but it’s very expensive for drinks and snacks, takes ages to be served and the food itself was of poor quality. I don’t even mind slow or inexperienced staff when they aren’t charging the Earth!

This place is a blot on the landscape , it should not even be allowed to exist on a natural park like the meadows that it does is a hideous disgrace , also the space cadet working there can not in point of fact make a simple cup off coffee no word of a lie he looked well past stoned. Also the ugly generic food they have on offer is over priced and more fitting for a school jumble sale circa 1985. Don't even get me started on the hideous noise that emanates from this place when they get some second rate DJ down.

Terrible, how can you get toasted cheese so wrong? Dry bread not toasted and covered in dressing we had not asked for! 40 minute wait for food that was disgusting! Not worth it!

Great place for a snack on a nice day

Bloody lovely little spot for a coffee! Plus take away completely compostable cups great! And fantastic for kids and a good energy. I feel the bad reviewers should give it a second chance. As I come here 3-4 times a week and everyone seems rather lovely. Plus my mother and father both sign off on the place and they are hard to please trust me been trying for 23 years.....

Great place! Got there by chance, and was a bit hesitant at the beginning. But I found the location, prices, and food really good. Did not try the coffee though. Nice friendly staff !

Consiglio a tutti di fare una sosta qui anche per pranzo/cena perché è un posto originalissimo (l'arredo interno e i tavoli fuori sono stupendi) il servizio è di qualità, e la roba che preparano è molto buona (noi abbiamo assaggiato la cheesecake)

Just went here for lunch on a horrible wet day. Place was very quiet due to rain. There were a couple of very friendly young girls serving and singing whilst doing so. . A cosy, friendly ,relaxed wee place with a lovely quaint oddness about it :) Fantastic wrap ! And a nice cup of tea. Would definitely return.

Their coffee was magic. I even wondered how did they do that? This coffee machine they said - so, I still call it magic. Cozy and lots of children's books inside.

Not open regularly, but it's convenient when it's open during good weather to get coffee or tea, and also quick food.

Walked inside to buy a cold drink, was immediately, and rudely, told to leave by the woman in charge because public toilets were on the other side of the park before I was able to ask what cold drinks were available. I said that all I wanted was a cold drink and was told again that I couldn't use the toilet, even if I was buying a drink. I had no intention of using the toilets and am now put off of returning.

A great central vegan/vegetarian cafe in the centre of the meadows. Child friendly.

I was killing time in the Meadows over lunch and made a pit stop here for nourishment. I had a double espresso and a wrap with falafel, hummus, sun-blush tomatoes, black olives and jalapeños that was freshly prepared and brought to my table. The coffee broke my caffeine free October but was well received while the wrap was large, flavoursome and well constructed. It was served with a side salad drizzled with balsamic. There is a range of drinks, cakes, soups, wraps and a kids section on the menu. Seating is outside, both beside the pavilion and on the grass, or inside. It was a refreshing and relaxing change from the usual hectic options around Edinburgh at lunch time. A cosy and unpretentious bolt-hole.

This is a perfect wee cafe when the weather's nice. It's really busy on sunny days when loads of people are visiting the meadows. But I've never felt rushed when I've been in. Lovely food, salads and sandwiches... And some homemade cakes! Nom! It's got a quirky colourful look with the chairs on the outside. Sometimes in summer, they have love music... So worth checking out if you're around the meadows.
