abysmal! cold food, sent back twice and again cold! had a full refund! used to be half decent, very disappointing!

Just stopped at the barry McDonald's the meal was the worst food I've had coffee were done before the meal and was cold by the time the food was ready don't know why the food took so long as it was cold when given to me in the car

Reliably good standard of food, and reasonable prices. Service is prompt, friendly and helpful if you have any questions or issues. Easy to park, and rarely struggle to find a seat

Disgusting, poor management!!!! Simply waited 29 minutes for my food even though ready for ages but no one to pack it up. Thanks McDonald's for ruining my evening/meal!!!

Food is always cold, they stack up the french fries, so they are always cold, I usually take them back and ask for hot fries and the burgers were cold

Nice place, clean and tidy with friendly staff. They got our order wrong at the drive through and we had to go in to sort it out with the manager. It was all sorted with no fuss. 👍

Very slow, boy wandered round the preparation area with our food on a tray for ages before getting the chips and making the tea. Spoke to someone in a shirt who appeared to be 'managing' - rude and arrogant. I was running places like McDonalds while I was at school before you was born - do not patronize me! Burger King next time!

Too crowded. Why is there only one McDonald’s for a big town? There reds to be one near Morrisons in Barry too.

While having lunch I just witnessed a member of staff see an elderly lady walking with a walking stick. He immediately went to help her. He then helped her to her car. Lovely to see. Always good staff in Barry McDonalds.

The guy in the white shirt tonight with the annoying accent shouting and belitting his own staff ..wow.. what a arrogant rude man would hate to have him as my boss...the whole restaurant could hear him. Poor management

The food is always nice even if its a bit cold, the only thing I hate is they NEVER INCLUDE THE SAUCES you ask for even if its on the order and especially when you order the cheesebites for the rich tomato dip coz it's banging and you never get it!!+

Just had the best breakfast wrap from here, the way it was cooked and laid out. Normally have to rip off some of the pitta but not today. The coffee was immaculate too, proper weird. I do like this mcdonald's a bit too much though, the staff are lovely x

They got the order wrong had to ask for dips which comes with the meal also had double big mac when I got home it had no salad or dressing just plain just fed up with always finding something wrong

Me and my mum ordered a takeaway through the drive through tonight, we ordered chicken nuggets and 2 large meals. We live on the other side of Barry and when we got home we realised they'd forgotten one of the burgers for the large meals. We had to drive all the way back and requested a whole new order as everything had gone cold by then. When we then received the order the second time, they'd given us an incorrect drink and an incorrect burger. By this point the whole situation had taken us 40 minutes and we couldn't be bothered to correct them again. Not a good experience.

If it’s even slightly busy you have to avoid it. They can’t cope

Waited almost 45 minutes for my "fast food", Honestly mcdonalds how can you let a restaurant be like the one in barry..... food always takes way too long. When you receive it the staff member looks and sounds like they want off the planet, then when eating it, It resembles eating a board of MDF from B&Q. Charging silly money for food on par if not worse than a £1.39 rustlers burger...

Always an issue with ordering Mcdonald's, either missing items or poor quality of food. How you butcher chips is beyond me.

Had the new mcrib and also cheese bites. Mcrib was good. Don't eat alot on McDonald's, but would have another one of these. Bun too small for mcrib, but I was ok with this. I thought the mcrib would be in bbq sauce,but the sauce was spread on the bread roughly. Cheese bites where rubbish, no flavour, rubbery, won't bother with those again.

Don't go here often but gave my two young grandsons for a treat 😊

I wouldn't eat at any of these establishments as the food is always cold and just slapped together,no thanks

Find this place brilliant 👏 staff very friendly and helpful, it's very clean inside and out.

Took my grandson fir a burger after football training.The fries were luke warm, and the big mac was soggy. Not appetising at all. And not for the first time. ZBurger King from now on.

Don't know why that many people bother with Maccy's these days. Food isn't even that good and it's takes a while to get it.

One of the best mcflurrys I have had in a long time. Good amount of malteasers, good level of ice cream and well presented! Staff efficient and friendly.

Refused to take order as updating the system apparently even though I had the cash to pay for my order so they could have put it through after the “update” avoid this McDonald’s after 12am as they clearly can’t be bothered with work will be contacting McDonald’s head office regarding the issue

Well what can I say. It is very similar to the ones I have visted all over the world except with a welsh accent. You know what you will be getting as it's a McDonald's. Go on. Visit it.

Guaranteed not fast food. At least 30 - 45 minutes at drive through. Delivery drivers from just eat etc take priority over queuing customers.

Took 25 minutes to get 2 coke zero and a bottle of water and that's just walk in! Rather prioritise staff and staff relatives . Absolutely ridiculous. We asked once and was told one minute we asked 10 minutes later oh get it now for you! How long have the drinks been sat there considering ice in the coke zero pretty much melted! Not coming here again.

I don’t have high standards, it’s McDonald’s after all… but delivery or collection or drive through, it does not matter. The only thing you can rely on, your order is going to be cold or wrong.

Rubbish useless staff no straw for the milkshake no salt on the chips no dips and freezing cold. well worth the wait yum yum

One of the main reason you like Macdonalds? The chips. This place actually don't understand how to cook chips, actually diabolical how terrible they are. Not even 'oh they had a off day' it's all ways terrible, I order just hoping they'll be even slightly edible. Shocking, considering it's just chips

It's a Maccy Ds! Everything is standard so I can't give it more than an average score because it an average McDonald's. Food was acceptable, service was standard. It was clean as to be expected. It does nothing more or less than you would expect from any other location. The entrance is a bit touch and go as its directly off the roundabout exit and this can get busy. With signs saying not to queue onto the main road, you may be out of luck and have to carry on past it.

They serve the wrong food and try to serve milkshakes that are supposed to be thick but come out like water, and when you return they just state "OH WELL , HAVE SOMETHING ELSE THEN", no apology. The service is a disgrace here. Never use the drive-through here. They always get it wrong, and you have driven away when you find out. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

Busy and well situated fast food restaurant. The address is Barry, but is close to Sully, adjacent to a busy roundabout.

Was told to clean my own table with antibacterial spray and clothes when I asked for them to be wiped due to them being covered in food

food is great if you’re sitting in to eat but mcflurry machine is literally never “working”. was told by one of the workers they just can’t be bothered to clean it so just put it as out of order

As you would expect from McDonald's, very busy here and a long wait time for kiosk ordered food hence the 1 star drop 👍

This is probably the worst McDonald’s in the Vale of Glamorgan. No matter how busy it is, it takes 15-30mins to get your food, and when it comes, there’s items missing and it’s all luke warm or cold. I use the one at culver house cross as there service is very good.

I really need to stop going here. Here we go again, ordered on the App, pulled into the parking slot for click and collect (luckily they weren't full of uber/just eat drivers.. They were all over the rest of the car park). Paid through the app. TOOK 20 MINUTES TO MAKE MY HATTRICK BURGER MEAL!!!. opens the bag to find the piggin burger missing.. So I go in, "excuse me, there's something missing.. Check the tag on the bag then check the bag".. It was checked and the reply.. Oh it's only the burger missing... HANG ON.. ONLY THE BURGER!.. IT'S THE MAIN ITEM OF THE MEAL!.. ooh look, there it is on the counter. I'D SERIOUSLY CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE LEAVING THIS PLACE Monday 10th June, drive there at 23:30 after coming home from work to find that the big banner between the serving windows saying OPEN 24HRS is a lie.. Cone across the entry road and place in darkness. another shocking service today (07/06/24) arrived at the drive thru order point at 06:54 to see the other order point getting answered twice before they eventually got to me, gave my order and was told at the window to move down to the next window, presumably because my breakfast wrap required making... sat there until 07:10 watching several vehicles behind getting issued with breakfast wraps through their windows, still no sign of mine, so I shouted asking where my food was. At 0'7:12 a bag appears and I ask if the order is correct, i get the reply "should be".. i check and its not, items missing and items i'd not even ordered in the bag !!, so once that was sorted I finally left the overflow window at 07:12... fast food?.. maybe not !! .. I advise customers to check their orders at the restaurant if they're using the drive thru and NEVER order from any online source, they regularly fail to read orders correctly and miss items off. Last time it was a missing veggie burger (how can you miss the main component of a meal???). Tonight the order was for 4 x 5 piece chicken select meals with a mcflurry. Order has 8 dips clearly printed on it, so why only 4 in the sealed bag, twix mcflurry clearly printed on the same order but no mcflurry in the folded and taped shut bag. Phoned restaurant and they had the cheek to blame UberEats as they deliver for them on the macdonalds app! I pointed out "how can the delivery driver check the contents of a sealed bag that your restaurant are responsible for filling?" So after paying £3.99 delivery and receiving every excuse under the sun as to why its not their fault, every one challenged with a relevant response why it was.... they said I can drive down and pick the missing irems up.... Erm, no thanks!

Run by a bunch of kids food is never right. Also have had one of there employees tell me how bad the kitchen is.

Unbelievably slow service definitely not fast food and it even says they not that busy at 8.30 on a Sunday morning

Do not order online from here unless you want to waste everyone's time and still don't get the order. Use McDonald's at Cardiff Bay or elsewhere to if you want to get McDonald's

Absolute chaos at this place this evening people waiting 20-25 mins for food queue was huge staff seem to concentrate on drive through delivery and app customers coming into restaurant being ignored 🙁

Actually had my order correct this time and it wasn't cold for a change. Still needs to speed up the drive through. They seem to have most of the food ready but there's always a hold up which seems to let the food cool down.

Ate in car so feel shouldn't be asked to rate atmosphere, the chicken classic sandwich was tasteless, smothered in sauce makes one think that McDonald's is aware that their chicken needs more than a little seasoning to become palatable!

Did an online order from this restaurant (can not be contacted by phone). 4 meals ordered, 18% tip. The main 'Large Double Quarter Pounder™ ' did not arrive. Only got a £3.18 refund and one person lost out. Buyer beware ! Check 100% on delivery, including opening the bag. Going to restaurant tomorrow.

Drive thru quick as always, but they forgot the sauce for a happy meal and also the sauces for the cheese and herb bites as they're stated to come with a tomato salsa or something similar. Also no pickles in my Big Mac which makes me big sad, after all a burger without pickles is barely a burger!

Unless to baby sit them to ensure the order is right. It is 50/50 to be wrong. And if your for delivery from here it Will be cold and it WILL be missing something. They are consistently rubbish.

Just writing a review about one of the staff members named John he was the most loveliest and helpful man. He told me and my partner and his family about how to get discounted meals and he was just really kind and lovely,really knows who to treat customers :)

Slow service thanks to all the Uber eats orders they are dealing with and always forget items. Tonight it was a £4.59 chicken sandwich they forgot and it’s 2miles for me to go and get it. They are absolutely useless.

Ordered a double sausage and egg McMuffin meal , with two hashbrowns and a coke with 2 ketchups I have to pay for … to get at my door a half spilled coke and a breakfast wrap !! Big difference in orders . Who ever got my order will happy . Happens all the time , it’s either cold missing stuff or takes over a hour to come .

This is the 1st time in a long time that I have visited a McDonald's and was pleasantly surprised. You have a choice of ordering with a person or via an electronic selection board. The food sid not take long to produce and was ecactly as I expected.

Not gonna lie if I order a plain cheeseburger for my autistic child and then double-check that it is plain 3 times with 3 different people (when ordering, paying, and picking it up) at that point I do expect it to be plain. It wasn't :/

It's OK but always so busy and the staff don't always seem to cope well. Some orders have been wrong or items missed from order. That being said staff have always been lovely and polite and are doing their best.

I ordered delivery for the first time, 20 minutes later than estimated time (1 hour from ordering). Milkshake warm food cold, seriously too cold to eat. Furious!!!!!!!

Been using this Branch fairly often but was disappointed last time after having used the restaurant previous to reasonable all round experiences. We ordered on the app and one of the items was the wrong one and looking at the time of it it was ordered and hour before we actually ordered so obvious anitem that had been discarded . The wrap was hard and cold and cut my lip when biting it and the chicken was crispy instead of grilled and was cold. The chips and apple pies were cold but other items we had between us were OK. Something not running correct here and will be reluctant to re visit. It was busy but methods in place should handle this. With many McD priority seems to be click and collect drive through I think in general they are trying to be all things to all people. I don't like writing negative reviews but hoping this type of review could be a wake up call!

The woman who gave me my food did not put the large chocolate milkshake into my bag. Driver's check your order before leaving to avoid this scam.

If I could give zero I could. If its not sauces missing from the order, then its food items. I've experienced take away orders and in store. Theres no control or communication in the team. Managers standing around chatting while food stays there getting cold. 90% of the time items missing from the order and is luke warm at best.

Drive through. Luke warm chips as always, burger not presented very well. But it's fast food so... Don't go very often anymore. The food doesn't seem the same. Staff are more polite these days though so that's a positive.

Pop in regularly for coffee and a childs burger - don't want big burgers - (I'm an 0AP) staff are extremely helpfu + plus if Kerri is on duty will pop over to where I sit and say - Hi - Enjoy going there

Quick service but 90% of the time the fries are stone cold two minutes after they give them to you and they'll forget the sauce you ordered. It's a very busy place so there's a bit of forgiveness there, just be sure to check and ask

I like the latte coffee from here and I always park and order to my car. I have a Sweetener in my coffee and the staff that bring to the car never have any and always have to go back in to get it. Why do the staff not have sugars in their pocket??

Milkshakes always unavailable (probably to save you the hassle) They ALWAYS forget to give all of the order. And have the cheek to charge for sauce with delivery now, but still forget to put the sauces in the bag.

Ordered via the app, asked.to.wait.in the bay, 20.minutes later.went.inside to enquire about the order which was.over £43 to.be told they had forgotten about it, 1p mins later order was luke warm- not impressed at all!

Food as expected for a franchise known iconic brand. Very professional than other well known franchises. Only criticism, on more than one occasion they have forgotten part of my order. Hence the 4 star review

Middle of cold spell and they have the air conditioning on full blast, absolutely freezing 🥶. Staff offering odd few customers £2.99 meal deals but not everyone, for next visit. Food and coffee not very warm. Very disappointed with this visit.

This particular branch, I'm not the most fond of. To give credit, the service in the last few weeks during the pandemic has been outstanding considering what the staff have had to cope with, but unfortunately it is not up to standard most of the time. When I go to eat there I'm often asked to wait in the bay or my order comes out incorrect/missing something. To be fair though, it's fast food so you can't complain too much.
