McDonald's in Cherwell

Went only to get chicken selects with sweet chilli dip and a large banana milkshake. Everything was great and both people at the windows were very positive and polite which isn't normal at Mcdonalds but was very much preferred.

I placed an order for £46 worth of food from McDonald’s Lakeview Drive yesterday evening After about 20 minutes a message appeared on the app giving me the drivers name and car type. At about 7pm, the message changed saying that a chap on a bicycle was going to deliver shortly. Shortly after this I received a message saying the order has now been cancelled. The message also said to phone McDonald’s Lakeview Drive. I called their number, which went to voicemail, I have left a voicemail asking for a call back. Twenty seven hours later, still no call back with an explanation.

I was feeling a bit adventurous and decided to take a solo date to McDonald’s. One thing led to another and I found myself feeling awfully embarrassed as I did not understand the app. However, despite this a lovely young lady by the name of Tori working at the tills sorted it out for me and explained everything beautifully. I was ever so grateful and I had a lovely time with delectable food. Looking forward to coming again.

Really great quick meal, and really budget friendly for somebody not looking to spend a fortune on a big meal out. The food is very nice and comes out very quickly, and this restaurant also offers table service. This McDonald's is particularly good because during peak times, their restaurants can get very busy, but this has 2 floors so there is always somewhere to sit. It also has a lift for people in wheelchairs to get upstairs. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking for a cheap meal out.

Do MacDonalds actually interview and train their staff, or just grab anyone off the shelf able to stuff a burger in a bag?!. Suggest you get ‘Jim’ some customer service training as a matter of urgency - totally unacceptable aggressive and confrontational behaviour. Not a chance I will ever return to this place.

Visited yesterday and today early evening. Yesterday the fries could have done with leaving in the fryer a bit longer. Today the fries tasted like they had been kept warm since lunchtime.

I’m an idiot. Thought I’d give this McDonald’s another go. It’s a Tuesday night so can’t be too busy I thought… we’ll I placed the order at 4.45pm and an hour later I check on the McDonald’s app to see where the food is, to find out the cancelled the order as the milkshake machine was out of order. We only ordered one. Notify me maybe?! Anyway o should have kept an eye, so ordered again. Two cheeseburgers and two fries, how hard can that be? Very it seems. An hour later and still no food. I phoned McDonald’s and was unlucky enough to get the grumpiest and rudest young lady in the phone I have ever encountered. She said it was nothing to do with them, and phone Uber, I asked if she could at least check to see if my order had been received? She mumbled something completely incomprehensible so I asked to speak to a manager, at which point she hung up on me. And the phone has been off the hook since, I called Uber who finally got things moving two hours later… Finally the order arrived and it was absolutely disgusting. Old, rock hard and freezing cold. No drinks delivered and the special requirements (for allergies) weren’t followed so we couldn’t have eaten it even if it was edible. Uber won’t refund me as they say McDonalds are at fault, and McDonald’s blame Uber. There’s no accountability or protection for your cash if you order with the app and things go wrong. So yeah, another £20 and two hours wasted. Don’t bother. This is the worst McDonald’s I have ever used and I’m not even over exaggerating. They’ve never got a full menu on offer and what they do sell or send is inedible. And you can’t complain as they hang up on you. Avoid at all costs.

Today they gave us the wrong drinks with our food, and had a breakfast roll missing. Uber refunded. However this seems to be a reoccurring issue. Almost every time we order online, there is something kissing or the wrong items delivered. Don't understand how hard it is to read a ticket.

This has to be the worst maccys I have ever visited. I’ve tried them a few times and given them numerous second chances, but there’s no hope. This restaurant is run by people who don’t give a damn about their customers. I was a manager at the second busiest BK in the country and being busy is no excuse. We had ten tills open with queues out the door and still didn’t get as many orders wrong as these guys. Today they have no burgers available. Ridiculous. So we order nuggets. Get home and half the food is missing. They get EVERY SINGLE ORDER wrong in some way. Check it! They leave the phone off the hook so you can’t call in. And people do call in! Especially when you ask for items minus the things you’re allergic too and it’s packed full. You drive back to get the food you’ve paid for and they look at you completely confused. “What do you want me to do about it” says the girl on the till. Honestly. Don’t. Even. Bother. Also if you order on McDonald’s online and it goes missing, they don’t give you your money back. They tell you to call Uber. Uber tell you to call maccys. Lost £60 as they took the order to the wrong house!

My favourite McDonald’s. Has wireless charging. Very modern interior. Plenty of parking at Tesco as well.

Is not 24 hour got turned away in drive through and face to face service. Was told by a member of staff it would be 10 minutes and then again by another member of staff it would be half an hour . Very disappointing

It was very clean and the service was good, fries were hot and Big Mac good as always, was fairly quick and staff seemed to be happy which is good

I ordered on their app, 1 hr and 30 mins later I was still waiting. Then they cancelled my order, expecting my money to be returned it sat in pending for 2 days! And then they took it (nearly £30) So I contacted customer service thinking this would be resolved and my money returned! But no still no refund. Back and forth messages, I've sent proof in the way of photos.... still waiting for the money they have taken from me! Never will I order again!!!!!!!

The staff are lovely here, the food is good although sometimes they dont have the Mcflurry. I would recommend a visit.

Just received my order through uber eats from McDonald's, pretty poor to be honest, the strawberry milkshake was more like flavoured water, the food was stone cold! Seriously couldn't even eat the fries!! I ordered 3 festive pies and paid for 3 but only received 2!! Absolute waste of money!

In the past couple of weeks I have been ordering at this restaurant and every time I have had forgotten food, not only forgotten but also stale and cold food. If the items of food are not forgotten then instead you will receive them completely different to what you ordered. Receiving regular burgers which should have all the toppings on, PLAIN without a single topping. I’d understand if it was a one off with this place but it is literally every single time!! Whoever works in the establishment needs firing as I haven’t had a single order correct yet in the weeks and weeks of me going. I tried to let these things slide and thought ‘they might improve for next time’ but instead without a doubt my first thought before I even attempt ordering is ‘I wonder what they’re going to screw up this time’. At the end of my tether with this place and will now not be attending again. Not worth the energy.

Can’t do one simple job and give u the right food . always trying to scam u out of items also . Bicester restaurant is the worse one around they need to look at the staff and boot everyone them out of the door and replace them. This McDonald's absolutely takes care of their customers that orders via the UberEats app. You'll be waiting for 2 hours and then they will cancel the order, wasting your time and leaving you hungry with no food.

I've only been to this McDonalds twice, both times using the drive through. The first time my burger and fries were lukewarm but just about edible. I left it for a number of months before trying again and unfortunately it was worse the second time....

Perfect place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, Louise the lady in the seating area was very attentive and made sure i always had a coffee, she showed me the best place to sit with charging ports for my phone and laptop.

This is the most I waited in a McDonald’s after the order, I had to wait nearly 25min to get couple of Happy meals, upstairs sitting area was filthy everywhere , lots of dirts under the tables, bins was full where you could not empty trays, only one lady trying to do everything, to be honest she was trying her best, this place definitely need to improve with more staff and cleanliness, very disappointed as we don’t see many McDonald’s in UK this poor.

Called in for a quick bite and a coffee, I massive wait only about five cars in front of me but over a fifteen minute wait. This is a second time this has happened at this location. I like McDonald's food. I always have. In the Bicester restaurant though, there are problems. I have visited several times and on each occasion, service was very slow and the food was often lukewarm at best. It's been open for a while now and should be doing much better.

On a few occasions now I was met with friendly service and fast times. No issues with the food, good old mcD's. Having it available 24/7 is great for those times when you fancy a burger or some fries.

Visited this restaurant for a light lunch before shopping and I a have to be honest that the service lets this place down. The food and drink ordered was fine so no complaints there but was first kept waiting as there was no one on the tills, then there was a further delay waiting for the order. To be fair there were other people who seemed to waiting an age. I think they came in for lunch and left having their dinner!!! This is a relatively new McDonalds but my first impressions were not great, not likely to return.

I am actually sat waiting to my McDonald’s as I write this. Yep I’ve got the time. Try not to use this place but then think oh I’ll give it a go. EVERYTIME I end up waiting. From simple orders for 1 to family orders. I can see staff running around the car park trying to find the right people for there’s orders. I can see people getting madder madder. This is craziness. MCDONALDS U NEED TO SORT THIS PLACE OUT. I’ve now been given the wrong food twice and had to return it. I’m still waiting.

Fast food ?? Not a chance at Bicester. Always have to wait for food at the drive thru... "Go and wait in the car park and we'll bring it out" and food is always cold..... if I've had to wait... surely its just been cooked?? No way ! Don't bother going here. I ordered chicken nuggets from the drivethru, they ended up being cold and nearly inedible and a few hours later i threw up.

We been there few time for a fast snack and the quality of the service was shocking. Food cold and wrongly cooked.

I have been here twice using the drive through facility and it is shockingly bad. On both occasions I have had to wait 15 minutes for my food once I have paid for it and then both times the order has been wrong. STEER WELL CLEAR!!!

We often visit Mac Donald’s for breakfast. We ordered at the till, and our food never arrived using the table service offered. I went to the till and it appeared that we had been forgotten. The food was then made and mostly wrong. When it was replaced eventually it was ok. Will never visit this place again.

When in with the ex and kids waited 20mins for the food , and when it did arrive the drinks were half full so had to wait another 5mins for the incompetent staff to rectify this . Place is a joke wll not be going back

I know I said I wouldn't go again, but I did. Fifteen minute wait for porridge, then got the wrong one. Quite a few people returned while I was waiting having been given the wrong items, not having a complete order or their food being inedible. I rather cheekily asked if my replacement would take as long as the first one did. It did! In fact, I ended up eating the original one and leaving, not hearing my order called out to replace it. This time, I really won't be going back. Whoever designed this 'restaurant' vastly underestimated the number of people visiting - the poor staff just can't cope!

What a really lovely place to take children, sit and talk to friends or Solo. Its very clean and the decor is really lovely, I cant fault it at all. The seating is brilliant it suits every occasion. For children there are i pads and a table game. Upstairs is very comfortable with nice clean baby changing rooms. The food is good and you can order upstairs or downstairs. I feel this Mcdonalds offers something other ones dont have and thats personal service. I find the staff extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The staff constantly check every one is happy with the service they get. Well done staff you make the children valued and happy.

Design of the drive thru and car park - what were you thinking - my car got hit 3 times whilst sitting in the drive thru queue.

Called in for coffee and ice cream after visiting the outlet village, Good location and easy to find but not enough parking spaces for the number of cars arriving, Service was very quick and the tables were all cleared and clean. Usual quality coffee at a reasonable price.

The younger members of the family love a Maccy dees, I don’t understand the bad reviews?? Odd, it’s a new branch, that reflects in it being clean, not worn, all mod cons. Service even when we were daft enough to go when it opened was good. Tables around were cleaned quickly, friendly helpful staff. Food was always good. Literally no complaints. We prefer seating up

I know this is a relatively new site so I left this until my second visit. The first was very slow and we gave the the benefit of the doubt. However, a month later and no improvement. Still extremely long wait for meal. Drinks mix was very obviously wrong and, despite telling them this, it took ten minutes (by which time my food was cold) to get replacement drinks of the same wrong mix. On speaking to staff clearing up, this had been a problem all morning, and they were still serving it. It seems they have vastly under estimated the customer volume and they just can't cope. Will not bother again.

Went to the restaurant a few time and every time something has been wrong however this was the worst they had next to no food no chips, apple pies, McFlurrys or milkshakes and coffees plus more ridiculous

OK, so we thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt (teething troubles etc), and give them another chance. I can safely say that we will NEVER be going back.

Que for drive through pathetically slow (30 mins) with no explanation. Then to top in off no coffee which I was stopping for. Fast you must be joking, slow, slow SLOW. MacDonalds you need a quick exit on your Drive Throughs so people can bail when you cannot cope.

Slow....very very.......slow! Staff appeared not to have had any training and nobody knew what to door who to serve. Complete disorganised, terribly situated an accident waiting to happen. And discarded little now all over bicester and surrounding villages, why was McDonald’s ever allowed in Bicester?

Very clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and efficient. Read the previous reviews but honestly speaking cud not fault it one bit. Just pukka as they say. Will be visiting again. Awsome food and service. Thank you.

Food was quick, staff all super friendly & helpful - asked me if I needed any help as I was on my own with my son & his scooter. Restaurant was clean & tidy, lots of staff around sweeping up & clearing tables. Really pleasantly surprised :)

Having to wait for more than five minutes for a simple order to be made makes a joke of the word fast food.

Living in Bicester and having to usually pick McDonald's up on the way home from days out via Banbury or Oxford, it has handy when this one in Bicester opened.
