Terrible experience at Miller & Carter! We had a reservation for 6 people at 9:00 PM and paid a £60 deposit, yet when we arrived, a waitress (who claimed to be the manager but refused to give her name when asked) told us our table wasn’t ready and that we needed to wait. I do my research and her name is Terry. After waiting for 45 minutes, I approached her again, only to see that she was seating smaller groups while completely ignoring our booking. When I confronted her about this unacceptable situation, she had the audacity to tell me that I was wasting her time and preventing her from doing her job! The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was beyond belief. We decided to leave because she said that it’s impossible to give us table and many people are waiting as well for their reservation. I said that we have kids with us and she said “ your kid is 4 years old is bigger than other customers who have babies. Terry was disgusted. Absolutely disgraceful service—I would never return or recommend this place to anyone!

The worst service ever. It was my first Valentine’s Day after 6 years working always on Valentine’s Day and Terry, the lady who claimed to be the manager she was so rude and unprofessional. She ruined my night. She wasn’t even trying to get a table for us that we booked it online for 6 people and we paid deposit. I can’t believe she is working there still, I was shocked to see how she treated us. Absolutely disgusted by her behaviour. The owner should do something about this. Thank you

Food was cooked well but we just prefer it more plain, service was excellent by Natasha, we never had to wait long and very accommodating.

Great steaks, little pricey but good quality. Next to the road so not the nicest location but you soon forget when inside. Back again and Natasha served us, despite being busy it was a great meal.

We had the most amazing valentines meal! Our waitress was Hannah and she was brilliant, attentive and made our evening extra special!

Spent the evening here for Valentine’s Day! Would like to say a massive thank you for Hannah our waitress who was absolutely lovely. We were surrounded by people with complaints and she handled each and everyone so well. As well as this I would like to say that Terry was amazing on the front of house. The AWFUL people she had to deal with and she still remained professional and dealt with each and everyone so well. Massive well done to the team after what appeared to be a very very hard night for them all. The food here was okay, I’ve definitely had better steak from here before. It was very busy so I can’t imagine the pressure in the kitchen. The atmosphere I had rated at a 3 but this is only due to the severe amount of ungrateful people around us who were constantly complaining!!! Put a smile on your face for gods sake!! Cheer up. It’s a bit of cow 🐮 not your wedding dinner Overall this is more of a review of the service given to us and how every single one of the staff made our night amazing!! ❤️❤️

Food was good, restaurant little busy but as expected. Waited a little longer than usual due to time of year but service was good.

Visited on a Saturday evening, lively busy atmosphere. Table wasn't ready on arrival and steak was slightly undercooked however served by Freddie who was great! Top service.

Nice area and lovely restaurant outside area looks lovely but stayed indoors as it was cold, food was beautiful and our server Eleanor was very accommodating the only bad thing I experienced was meaning to press a tip and accidentally tipped 2p I felt so bad I went back with cash for a colleague to give to her 🤦🏻‍♀️

A really busy Valentine’s night at the Banbury M&C. The food was dependably good, but the highlight was Natasha, who made the night even better…thank you.

Been to this Miller and Carter multiple times and always lovely. Reviewing for their Valentine's special as they were extremely busy but still produced some delicious food and lovely service. Our server Hannah was clearly very busy but still lovely, kind and happy. Will definitely recommend Miller and Carter for event meals again.

We came on the 14/02/2025 We had Jessica as our server, she was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! She was so sweet so attentive and absolutely made our night. We came out for Valentine’s Day and it was so busy but the whole team did so well, and can’t rave enough about Jess if we tried, thank you for a lovely night!

Cold day & the warm entrance Lobby a positive start to our visit. All went well with staff greeting & the comfortable warm building.

Hannah was a sensational waitress. Food was outstanding (Lamb) wine was incredible (Pinot Noir). Highly recommended.

Unfortunately had a really disappointing meal. Was looking forward to this meal and did not have the same experience as previous. We had ordered from the valentine menu, my partner had the wagu beef upgrade £14 on top which was not wagu!! We then paid the bill but after paying noticed the valentine deal wasn’t put through and there was other things on our bill. Instead of being refunded the difference we had a full refund which takes up to 2-3 days to go into the bank and had to pay again! Costing us over £180 and we will have to wait for half of that back. Completely Unacceptable. If you’re visiting, check your bills!! Luckily we had the money to pay twice. No apology!!!!

Miller & Carter Banbury - A Perfect 5th Anniversary Dinner! We celebrated our 5th anniversary at Miller & Carter Banbury and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. Our server, Daria, was absolutely fantastic! She was attentive, friendly, and really made our evening special. To start, we shared the delicious mushrooms and calamari. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and flavourful, and the calamari was tender and not at all rubbery – a definite highlight. For our main course, we opted for the sharing Chateaubriand, which was cooked to perfection. It was incredibly tender and juicy, exactly what we were hoping for. The lobster tail was also superb, cooked just right and a real treat. Everything about our meal was fantastic, from the quality of the food to the excellent service we received from Daria. Miller & Carter Banbury is the perfect spot for a special occasion or a delicious steak dinner. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

SERVICE TERIBLE 👎 BAD. Food was ok delicious. We arrived around 4pm on 26.01 we had our reservation made, we been waited for Food over 1 hour and half because the first waitress decided we don't deserve her attention because when I checked the glass for wine was full of dust before to have a taste, and kindly asked for a clean glass I think she felt offended and with 2 kids after me was watching the other tables who just been sat down , getting served with starters and food and us just left on the side, on the end before to leave probably been a change of shift and the new lady after 6pm came she was lovely paying attention she was very kind( i dont remeber what country she was )also I can't remember the name of the girl who sit us on the table but I know she was local 🇬🇧.Also we felt pretty offended when she hidden behind the computer where she put the orders and had a chat about us being fussy because I asked for a new glass. But I expect a little bit more professionalism when I spent 300£ on food for me my misses and 2 kids we use to experiment the miler&carter over uk. Unfortunately they just lost a regular costumer.

Been before and will continue to come again. Food is delicious and a great variety of steaks (once I even had a burger…). Service from Hannah was brilliant today as we’ve come to expect from the Banbury location. Well done team.

We waited to be seated for what seemed to be at least 5 minutes.....no acknowledgement. So we decided to sit in the bar area. The food was really good ....however the service wasn't. When we decided to leave ....I think it was one of the managers that took our plates and they didn't even ask whether we enjoyed our food. We certainly won't be coming for a second visit 🙄

I have never complained about a restaurant before but i was upset by our visit. Cold food and even tho all dishes were pre booked we still waited a hour and a half for it to arrive. It took 15 minutes waiting for 3 glasses of Pepsi to be made and pudding wasn't thawed overall dissatisfied. Also steaks came out with wrong sauces.

Food was great. Service was great. Just what we needed. Recommended by me for sure!

Tasty food & great friendly service from June

Friendly, attentive and professional service. Hannah recommended the wine (a Shiraz) which was delicious and went well with the chef’s recommended steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Lettuce Wedge and its accompanying sauce was a great contrast with the steak and something I haven’t seen on a menu or tasted before. I will definitely choose this restaurant next time I’m in the area.

Nice atmosphere, was told to remove my hat though. Ordered steak very well done, but when I came it was completely dry and tough. I like my steak dripping with sauce so very disappointed
