Miller & Carter Banbury in Cherwell

Friendly, attentive and professional service. Hannah recommended the wine (a Shiraz) which was delicious and went well with the chef’s recommended steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Lettuce Wedge and its accompanying sauce was a great contrast with the steak and something I haven’t seen on a menu or tasted before. I will definitely choose this restaurant next time I’m in the area.

Nice atmosphere, was told to remove my hat though. Ordered steak very well done, but when I came it was completely dry and tough. I like my steak dripping with sauce so very disappointed

We always know the food will be like at Miller and Carter, but for me it’s the service. Natasha was an absolute pleasure and amazing! A lovely addition to the Miller and Carter team.

An enjoyable evening with good food, Hannah was a delight from the start.

Some of our family’s food came out cold and we waited an hour and a half to two hours just for our starters to come out, very slow service. Our main Waiter was nice it was just the wait times and food temperature of the food that brought our experience down.

Nice easy pub to visit while refueling our electric car. The young lady who served us was super helpful and friendly and appeared happy in her work. Food was just as expected from this type of establishment.

We had a family Christmas dinner, I wasn't very impressed with the menu, it was disappointing for the money we paid..... A lot of other things you had to pay as extra, I mean a sprout and pig in blanket is part of a Christmas dinner, why pay extra for them... don't think I would go back for the Christmas party.

Came for dinner this evening and couldn’t fault anything. We didn’t book but we were welcomed and sat very promptly. The staff all looked happy and we could see them all having a laugh whilst working which gave off such a nice vibe for the night. I had a ribeye and it was delicious! Definitely recommend. Our server Natasha was very cheerful and always made sure our drinks stayed topped up which is a bonus. She is a credit! Will be visiting again!

Stopped on the way down to London for Dinner and the service was excellent. I had the rump steak which was a bit tough which is why the scire isn't a 5 but the majority of the food was good. This is a nice restaurant to eat in with modern decor

We were greeted and seated straight away and served by Daria for the evening. It was for my birthday and everything was lovely. Staff even came to sing Happy Birthday when my dessert came out. The entire evening was perfect.

We were looked after by Daria, a fantasticly kind waitress, who remembered us from a previous visit. The food was fantastic as usual (12oz ribeye medium).

We called in at 16.45 so that we could take advantage of the fixed price 2/3 course menu that finishes at 17.00. Due to our timing, there was only one other couple dining, hence only 4 stars for atmosphere. The meal was excellent and our server Daria was very pleasant and professional.

The steaks are fantastic, it’s the primary reason for visiting. Always succulent, tender and cooked exactly as we want them. Prefer it if the tables were not so close together, however it was New Years Eve and do financially for you it makes sense!

Freddie is the best person in the Building and offers the most amazing service! However the ribeyes were really fatty unfortunately.

Fantastic Christmas day meal, particularly the turkey and the king prawns. Fast service for both drinks and food. Lucy, our waitress was excellent and exceeded expectations, we really appreciate Lucy and the Miller and carter team for making our Christmas day everything we hope for. Certainly booking next year.

Although they were very busy, and courses were a little slow in coming out, the food was exceptional! The vegetables were perfectly al dente, everything was at yhe correct temperature, and the service was 2nd to none!

Welcoming, busy but was acknowledged and apologised to for the delay, which to be fair was short. Our server was so brilliant, great sense of humour quick witted and very kindly gave me the discount when all I could ask about was the blue light card and show my ID but not my pin. Always a lovely meal. Steak cooked just as we liked......perfect. Never had a bad meal here.

Visited Banbury , Natasha served us for our Sons birthday treat. She was very pleasant and even gave our Son a card and happy birthday message on his pudding. Food great as to be expected at the prices. Can't fault our evening our 😊

The steak was very tasty and everyone was enjoying what they were eating until, half way through eating my lettuce wedge I found a dead caterpillar which put myself and my wife off our lettuce and left us questioning what we had already eaten. The waitress was very nice and friendly but unfortunately, as we were in a rush (partly due to our poor planning and partly due to the starters taking a long time) we couldn't take her up on her offer of a complimentary pudding so the manager knocked £20 off the bill. A nice gesture but I'd obviously rather have paid the £20 and not been worrying about what I had eaten.

Having pre-booked a table and pre-ordered our meal choices, it was disappointing to arrive and be told that there would be a 45 minute to 1 hour delay, especially as the restaurant was barely half full. Starters were OK, steaks were good, but the Christmas dinner came with soggy not crispy roast potatoes. The Christmas pudding came with cold Creme Anglaise, sent back it reemerged only luke warm. One round of drinks ordered never arrived, and overall it was a disappointing experience. Our waitress did her best, but there were obviously staffing level issues.

Our waitress was lovely, I'm just sorry I didn't get her name. She was new but was very good. The food was tasty to.

The food then took forever to arrive, the starter came with a hair in it which was sent back and replaced almost immediately- so I guess the hair was just removed. Waited nearly an hour - in which we nearly walked out ( wish we had done now ) for the mains which were disgusting and particularly inedible steaks which most of us couldn't eat. The surprising thing was that it wasn't busy at all but the service was terrible. I hate to leave bad reviews but would not reccomend this place to anybody- overall very disappointed.

Asked for m rare , got annihilated, £40 steak as well 🤦🏻‍♂️

Waited for 40mins before asking where my food was. They then brought the wrong food. 70mins later my main course came without the starter. Absolutely shocking. The main course was ok and they gave me a free pint for compensation but come on you can do better

Had a team Christmas lunch here and was very nice. We had a mix of main menu and Christmas menu. Our main server was Natasha who was very helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Visited today for a late lunch and the food was fabulous. My steak arrived rare rather than medium, so Natasha kindly took it back to the kitchen and had a cooked perfectly for me. Fresh fries came out with it and everything else beautifully warm. Nothing was too much trouble, so very happy.

We were staying at Banbury Premier Inn, Miller and Carter were just across the car park, we had a lovely welcome and waitress was so attentive. Food and cocktails were amazing.

Came in on Wednesday Great food very tasty steak cooked to perfection very juicy loved it. Cocktails were amazing to thank you Esme they were amazing and so were you. Complements to the chef Simon the steak was amazing. I love the food plenty of it don't come away hungry.

Food not great, sent back three times and still terrible, did not eat, in fact I wouldn’t have given the meat to my dog (see photo) the beef dripping was cold, the chips were not replaced after 3 attempts at cooking the steak which was poor, however NATASHA the waitress was fantastic and did what she could to make things better for us she is a credit to you.

I have visited Miller and Carter many times and have always been very pleased with the food. This is the first time I have visited Banbury and unfortunately I had an issue with my meal which is why I have rated low. However, the waitress NATASHA was so apologetic and dealt with the situation with exceptional customer skills. She was interested in why we were visiting the area and gave very good recommendations on where to go Christmas shopping.

First visit as we've had a voucher for.sometime that needed to be used. Wish we had come sooner. Lovely food selection, great lunchtime deals. Service from Daria was fantastic, checked on us all through our visit which I find the most important aspect of any restaurant. Thank you will come again.

Top notch restaurant specializing in meat. Nice atmosphere very good service. Easy parking nice outdoor seating when the season is right. Go for it
