Monty's Burger Bar in Cherwell

Visited over the weekend with friends. No booking but they found us a comfy spot for drinks and then moved to a table when one became available. Got the feeling that nothing was too much trouble and the serving staff were all working well together to make sure nothing was missed and we had the best experience. Food was exceptional, I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a burger as much as this. Highly recommended and would definitely revisit when back in the location.

Called in on the iff chance they had a table, they struggled but found us space, we loved the meal so much, we booked in again for later in the week we were there, staff were great, food was exceptional, reasonable priced, 2 meals, 2 rounds of drinks, 2 pastries, £60. We thought that was money well spent

My friends and i were looking for somewhere to eat at short notice and found this surprise gem of a restaurant with great food, service and a good amount of gluten free options

An impromptu visit for breakfast. We both ordered the vegetarian option although we are both meat eaters. It was well cooked and presented and plenty of it. It just needed some bacon. I’d try something different next time. Coffee was good.

Phenomenal burgers, good lord. I think about them whenever I'm eating a burger at home or somewhere else, leading me to wonder why I'm there instead of at monty's.

Had the falafel burger on sour dough. Was very tasty, and better than expected from the description. But the real star of the show are the chips. Big thick and amazing. Best chips I've had for a while. Would go back

Popped in after the cinema. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. All the burgers are freshly cooked. We had Classic and Chicken Burgers which were delicious. The fries deserve special mention as they were perfectly prepared crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Love the atmosphere too. We will definitely go back.

Delicious breakfast, great coffee and the staff were very efficient, lovely and friendly. We were seated upstairs and my only (teeny) negative is that it was a little hard to hear at times. Will come again.

What a breath of fresh air. We were served today by Hannah. Such great knowledge and efficiency. Drinks were organised quickly. Food delivered hot and fresh. Cosy atmosphere felt really relaxed. Just what I needed after work.

Been coming for the burgers since it’s been open and never had a bad experience. The past two times I’ve ordered a Ceasar Salad and that’s what’s really made me want to leave a review. That along with the quick seating, fast service and super friendly staff!

Absolutely banging burgers, we were a table of ten and everyone's food was delicious. Nice to eat out at reasonable prices too, £15/16 per main is great value, especially given the quality of the food.

I recently visited Monty's Burger and had an interesting experience that I feel compelled to share. I'd rate it a solid three stars. The staff were quite friendly and attentive, contributing positively to the meal, but there were a few points that didn't quite hit the mark for me. Firstly, the burger, while it had a nice hint of pink in the middle which I usually appreciate, came across as a bit dry and crumbly, much like the texture you might expect from frozen patties. The chips, which took up three-quarters of the plate, had an internal texture reminiscent of mashed potatoes, suggesting they might not have been fresh. The overwhelming amount of chips felt a bit disproportionate. The starter featured corn chips, which were plentiful but unfortunately, there was not quite enough sauce to go around, making the dish feel a little unbalanced. On the plus side, the food tasted decent overall, and the ambiance was welcoming, driven by the cordial staff. However, considering the overall experience and the portion balance, I felt that the value for money wasn't quite there. Monty's has a lot of potentials and with some tweaks, could definitely elevate their game.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Monty’s Burger, and it was an amazing experience! The service was top-notch from the moment we walked in—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The Negroni cocktails were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious, the perfect complement to the meal. But the highlight was definitely the rib beef burger. It was cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner. If you’re looking for a great burger spot with fantastic drinks and excellent service, Monty’s Burger is the place to go!

Best burger i tried from a while back, i stop eating burgers from long time but i couldn’t resist it, i tried the classic burger in brioche bun , it was perfect and juicy, the fries and the onion rings was perfect too , i was visiting Bicester village and found this amazing place by searching in google maps , i would go all the way to Bicester town just for this burger 😋

Order a beef burger (short rib), it is very delicious and I recommend it. The meal can be served with a drink and fries for 23 pounds.

Our second order from Monty's .. this time we couldn't eat in the Restaurant.. so we ordered through UberEats. 2 x truffle burgers and 1 x lamb burger.. all upgraded to truffle fries. Totally amazing! We were all making mmmm.. noises! Really generous portions. A huge recommendation from us

Visited this place in Bicester for lunch. The venison Burger I had was excellent, and the service by the staff was even better - positive, friendly, welcoming. Worth supporting!

Hair left on top of food clear as day and was told to “just take it off” when a complaint was raised. Hostile managers, unsanitary workspace. Feel bad for the staff.

We were visiting Bicester Village and found this little gem on google, under a 10 minute walk. Really good food and great service, everyone was super friendly.

Walked in for a table of 6 which was accommodated for us by pushing two tables together, lovely atmosphere and clean restaurant. Two menus were given to each of us and all questions were answered professionally. Our server Ellie was friendly and polite, very attentive to our table and took our order when we were ready. Drinks came out first and food shortly after. Ellie took good care of us and checked in to make sure everything was as expected. Food was delicious, by far the best place to get a burger in Oxfordshire. The price is on the higher end but you do get what you pay for which is a quality meal and a big portion. The meal can be made cheaper with their deal which includes a wide range of drinks which our table got. Three of us couldn’t finish our meal and Ellie kindly double wrapped everything for us and put in separate bags based on each persons meal, very thoughtful and the remainder of my burger was still intact when I got home. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and would recommend to everyone I know.

A modern cafe with illustrations and lots of greenery in Bicester city centre. The breakfast baps were one of the best we’ve had including the pancakes. The bread is made in house and the available choices are sourdough and brioche.

Monty's Burger Bar is a great spot for a delicious meal. I was particularly impressed by the Lamb Burger, which transported me back to Greece with its amazing flavours. The kids menu is also quite good and reasonably priced, making it a good option for families. However, I found the overall prices a bit high for a small town, and the added service charge was a surprise. Additionally, we didn't realise there was an extra charge for BBQ sauce, which we would have skipped if we'd known. Despite these small issues, the food quality and experience were enjoyable.

Delicious! I have the blue cheese burger with Mac n cheese instead of fries. Both were amazing. So moist and cheesy. I can't speak to the atmosphere because I ordered a delivery through Uber eats. Although, the food arrived when it said it would and was still hot 20 mins later. Really really good.

We ordered the food to go. I had a tuna burger and a caramel milkshake. The burger came with a sizeable tuna steak and the milkshake was a serious milkshake. It took me most of the afternoon to finish it. Be prepared for a huge sugar rush :)

Hidden gem found while driving to London on the M40 - just 5 minutes from the motorway with an easy car park in the middle of the tiny village we found this super tasty burger place that worth a visit! Both meat and vegetarian burger were very tasty, huge portions and very chunky potatoes! We were too full for the dessert! Unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough to take a picture of the food - but trust me you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent place that is surprisingly busy with both seated and take away orders even on a Wednesday night! There are a number of customisation options for each burger which are offered but no hard upselling. The staff are very attentive and prompt and the food itself was ace, tasty, juicy but not dripping, very filling and great chips with them. Also recommend the hot sauce they offer (for free), it's amazing! Plan to go back again very soon

Amazing friendly and professional staff and now the main important thing is food which is absolutely delicious, I been few times already on breakfast there and I tryed on lunch them burgers which are also fantastic, nice and clean around so can’t complain about anything, 10/10 :) .

Absolutely delicious, fresh food. Started with warm tortilla chips served in a cast iron bowl to keep them warm. They have Hawkstone beer on tap, and we had to try it! The truffle burger was amazing as were the Parmesan fries and onion rings. We also tried a yummy side of Mac n cheese. It was all great. The service was great, too! A nice spot to stop in for burgers, fries and pints.
