McDonald's in Halton

Went in for a quick bite to eat and left with a refund. We waited over 20 minutes for our food to be prepared for takeaway.The staff, who seemed all but qualified, stared at us gormlessly when we requested a refund - as if shocked by our dissatisfaction after our five minute pit -stop turned into twenty-thirty minutes of boredom. No wonder the kitchen isn’t working efficiently when the staff are too busy meeting up with their friends when on shift and planning their Saturday night gallivants! 10:30pm and a fitted dress or not, you’re there to do a job. Oh, and a PSA, if you hate your job that much to admit to another member of staff that you’ve “just not come in for the past four weeks”, I think it’s time for you to quit and find something else… Absolutely shambolic, this is taking the McDonalds stereotype to a whole other level!

Slow service and trouble with youths

Hads to be the worst McDonalds restaurant by far.. the service is always poor with very long wait times for the most basic meals… can’t quite understand why when I have visited other McDonald restaurants and they have all been much more efficient. Not to be recommended !!

Absolute Dump, one of the worst mcdonald's I've been to in the country. Crappie prepared food that looks like it's been dropped half a dozen times before you get it. The coffee is garbage it's always weak and half of the time it's half a cup. The drive through has been made ridiculously dangerous by loads of delivery drivers parking wherever they want, and when you say something to one of them you suddenly have 4 of them shouting abuse at you.(There was a 4 year old in our car at the time) and if you say something to the staff they don't care. Avoid this place as much as you can, there's another 3.5 miles away that will serve you quicker, the staff are much nicer and the food is better.

We brought our grandchildren hear and yet again milkshakes weren't avaliable. We've heard all the different reasons for this over our past visits. We normally take our grandson to Widnes because of this ongoing problem but decided to try Runcorn (as it's our home town). Looks like we have to keep travelling out of town.

Good quality of food but I am happy as they don't service halal food for muslims

Was during heavy snow. No staff. Wrong order. Dirty floors.

Better than other Maccy's in the area. Very clean and looked after. Toilets emasculated. Food as usual to be expected, no complaints but needs more variety and please bring back and keep the Big Tasty.

This branch is so bad that I usually drive past it and travel over to the Bowers Park, Widnes one. West Lane, Runcorn somehow manage to mess up the order EVERY time.

No chocolate milkshake and nothing offered instead. There's ALWAYS something wrong with this restaurant. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was missing lots from my order

Absolutely awful service. Seem the priorities delivery’s and drive through. Waited 35 minutes for 2 meals to get home and part of it was missing. The staff didn’t seem to care and when asked where our food was we were replied with “I don’t know” and they walked off. The restaurant was busy but no one was getting there food or served there were stood around laughing and talking and with no care in the world. Will definitely be going to Widnes McDonald’s next time 100% better service and food!!

stone cold fries forgot the sauces for the chicken dippers and the mozzarella sticks. Driver was very off as well.

atmosphere sometimes ruined by loud foul-mouthed kids inside.

This place is a joke . Its suppouse to be a fast food and you waiting in a car for food for 30mins and get it cold. Never ever ordering here anymore.

We got given the complete wrong drinks, not one was right and all the food was stone cold. Ordered 2 cokes and a banana milkshake, got given a strawberry milkshake and 2 grimace milkshakes, all watered down

My order has just came and they have given me the wrong food

I placed my order at 17:25. You project it will arrive 20:40 at the earliest. Your website has said McDonalds have been preparing it for over 30 minutes. It will be a cold,soggy, inedible mess if ever it gets here.

Wrong order again useless app will never ever use again

Took over 2 hours for delivery and arrived stone cold and soggy. Chicken nuggets were like rubber inside and the batter was falling off with how soggy it was, chips inedible and like cardboard

Rare occasion that we actually received all items on our order for once -including straws and sauces!! And food was actually warm instead or lukewarm/cold (but not hot). Not sure if this should be praiseworthy however considering it should be the norm. But grateful to not be disappointed for once. Courier was excellent also.

Food was barely warm when delivered. Each time I order, no driver knows where my house is, despite giving clear instructions. Uses postcode which takes them to the bottom of the close. Absolute joke

(UPDATE 2025: Ordered via just-eat and it's been over TWO HOURS now and I still no food. Rang these clowns and they say there's no driver so they haven't made the food yet. The app says the driver is there, waiting for them to finish preparing the food. Which is it? The estimated delivery time was 20 minutes when I ordered the food at 2155. Well it's now 0001am. What a JOKE. This store is run by clowns and incompetent kids!) EASILY the worst McDonald's in the area! Constantly make errors with drive thru orders such as leaving out nuggets, when I ordered a box of 9 I got 8 and no sauces that you should get with the box. They never seem to have milkshakes available. They forget napkins and straws all the time. I request no pickles on burgers and at least on two occasions they've had pickles on when I bit into them despite the sticker saying no pickles. Just two days ago they messed up a simple order, serving a cappuccino rather than a simple white coffee at the drive thru, despite what the receipt said. Also, they recently sent the wrong drinks with a breakfast order through just eat. Speaking of breakfast the mcmuffins are so greasy, so much so that the last time they gave us stomach problems. And they're always falling apart as someone else's photos showed. All in all, avoid! Amateur. Tried Widnes the other day, everything was hot, they got everything right, they had milkshakes available and even remembered to put the right sauces (including extras!) and the napkins in the bag. Speaks volumes that it's just this particular branch that can't do the simple things right.

always forgetting stuff all the time and when ringing to complain they refuse to take any blame or fix the issue they blame it on Just Eat yet they on the ones packing the food that was "triple" checked completely useless staff and food always comes cold

Waited almost 2 hours for food - but to be expected in this weather. When food arrived fries were lukewarm and drinks and desserts missing. This is becoming the norm from McDonald's delivery that food is cold and items missing. This will be my last order placed with them - which is a real shame because when they get it right and the food is hot it is delicious and we enjoy it.

My order was over 2 hours late, I ordered at about 11.30 it is now 2.30 I was told my order wasn’t going to be delivered and that they think the delivery driver has gone home, then told my order has been delivered then I had to drive up McDonald’s and collect my order myself because it was never delivered

January '25. Temp.outside minus 1. Air conditioning still on, very cold inside. Each day the same. Dirty men's toilet,day by day. I ordered two triple cheeseburgers and both they brought completely cold. Shame Mc Donalds, Shame.
