McDonald's in Wrexham

It's got to be hands down the worst mcdonalds in the country. Every other mcdonalds you go to with kids is enjoyable. Chirk mcdonalds is just a stress. Always have to park up for food. Could probably order a bottle of water and have to park up to wait for it. Milkshakes are a 1 in a million chance to get one. I don't know if it's the machine or if the people who work there are just to idol to clean it. Because I'm yet to go to another mcdonalds and be told the icecreams or milkshakes aren't on today, yet here it's every bloody time. Fries are hardly cooked. We live in chirk, and it's actually easier to just drive to the oswestry mcdonalds. How can one be so much better than the other. They only manage to stay open because of the busy through road, if they were relying on locals the place would've shut along time ago.

Came for dinner after a trip out to Chester,chip were horrible and pretty much cold,given no napkins.missing a burger and when it did come out the burger had fallen apart,sauce and lettuce everywhere even on the outside of the box, Very poor

No service at the hatch always told we have to park up!! Seems to be every time everyone is told to park up and wait for food. Waited ages for my food had to shout staff twice to ask. And when it came it’s still cold so I don’t understand the wait: forgot my sauce chips were cold and unsalted. No napkins. Gone down hill massively, no one seems to know what they’re doing. WILL NOT RETURN!!!!!!

Have called here 3 times since it reopened and was willing to give it the benefit of doubt but today was the last time. It was okayish prior to closing but now it's dire. The wait in the drive through is absolutely ridiculous. 2 out of 3 times when I've finally reached the payment window the order has been wrong and seems to take so long to rectify. In all 3 occasions the food hasn't been ready when I reached the collection point so have to waite like everyone before me. Have to ask for milk sugar and napkins as never offered now. And when the food finally arrives has been missing items twice, luckily I checked before moving. So another wait while the tepid food gets colder. All the burgers/ breakfast muffins look like they've been thrown together. I know they're busy but they always have been but now the service quality and speed is dreadful. Takes about 20 minutes from entering queue to getting exactly what you ordered

It needs closing down or whole new team of people working there who are above 21. -Sometimes 6 cars get served on one of the speakers and none waiting at the other side - it’s pot luck -Staff at the window don’t acknowledge you and you are usually interrupting their conversations at the window -You will be given your drinks, no napkins , they will forget any sauces you ask for ( don’t expect any eye contact off staff or a smile) -You won’t get to drive off with food like at any other drive through- you will have to park and wait -Cars that have been there less time than you will probably be served first -Always check the food bag as they will miss items and or it will be cold because they have walked around outside with the food looking for you , for 10 mins (Better off going to subway or Greg’s at the Ruabon service station )

Overall experience was nothing short of terrible.. staff attitude inc duty manager was very poor with zero customer satisfaction. Despite there being very few customers, wait for food was 20 + minutes. On checking order within car, drinks were found missing off the order. On returning into restaurant to claim drink, staff ignored me walking past several times. On reaching home and checking food bag, a majority of the food ordered was missing.. forced to drive back to the restaurant to complain. Duty manager was very poor in her attitude simply replying - yeah sorry about that. Whilst I was stood at the till another customer sat within restaurant was returning her food as unsatisfactory!!!! Never used to be this way McDonald’s !!! - won’t be returning, awful establishment.

Bad cold food, the attitude of the drivthrough staff is disgusting! Everyone of them should be sacked immediately. I can't believe McDonald's allow one of its branches to operate in this manner

Visited here 10th February. Drove through the Drive thru & simply wanted a Milkshake. Which I duly requested at the first intercom point. I then proceeded to the next point & paid. After making my way to the collection point & waiting (& burning fuel I may add) for an eternity I was advised the Milkshake Machine was "Down" Why couldn't I have been advised at the first point that the "Machine" was out of service? Just a rouse to try & get me to buy something else (I didn't) Typical abject Customer Service from a Business staffed by Children for the most part........

I feel so sorry for the staff. Each and every one was lovely but we waited the best part of an hour in a drive through. The food was cold and chips missing. Reading this website it is clear that this restaurant has an issue. I hope they sort it out before it closes.

Waited for half hour parked up, went in and spoke to a member of staff, who took my receipt and walked off never coming back..spoke to another member of staff who gave me a bag..drove home and it was missing 2 items! Don't bother going here, shocking!

Abaolute joke wait over a hour to the be brought the wrong order!!!! Spending 44 pounds and having your milkshake melt before you even get your burger! Absolute disgrace of a place!! Won't be spending 1p there again

Stopped in the evening and ordered a steakhouse stack meal and big Mack meal. Drinks were ok. Both burgers were stone cold as were the chips and there was only one burger on the stack. I took them back and the guy who served me was very apologetic and came back to me a few minutes later. I walked back to the car park. The chips were fine but both burgers were cold again and missing the second burger on the stack. Not very good is it. I was told there were no sweeteners but I picked some up when I took the food back. I’ve not had a worse meal ever at Mac Donald’s and I wasn’t impressed there were 16 paper serviettes in the bag.

After 2 mistakes with my order , I then tried my food and discovered everything I had ordered was stale and looked like it had been standing for hours , There must be a time frame on how long food is left standing !!!!!!! Definitely will not be going there for food again

Absolutely disgracful customer service! Ordered 2 large meals , a happy meal and large fries. 2 large fries were sent out . Went in for the other large fries and was asked for a receipt . Nope never handed one ! Told they would have given a receipt . Nope ! The guy turned round and said " well I suppose so , it's not my money " ! If I was going to scam you hunni it would be for more than large fries 🍟. By the way the fries tasted like they were from last week 🤢. Avoid if possible. Its run by robots

Absolute shambles of a place. No til receipt, lost order, staff falling over themselves but look through you like your invisible. Forty minutes to get two coffees and a breakfast muffin

The worst McDonald's I have ever been too. Stand still traffic for 45 minutes at midnight. The orders are constantly wrong and the food is cold 80% of the time.

The food order is often incorrect. They always send people to the grill bay and this means that food is cold. The milkshake are always off the menu too.

we arrived here and used the click and collect ,the poor lad delivered our food during a major rain storm , even returned to give us a straw that was forgotten with our drinks , kudos to that delivery lad !!!

My son & his 2 friends had been on a walk and decided to call here for something to eat & drink. They were met with the most rudest member of staff! My son doesnt wear a mask due to being exempt but will wear another method of a face covering such as a snood. He was told he could not enter the restaurant as he didnt have a mask. He told her 1 he was exempt and 2 it didnt have to be a mask it had to be a face covering. She still wouldnt let him in. So he asked for the manager. The manager came and he asked why he wasnt allowed in when the government states a face covering is acceptable. In the end he and his friends were allowed in. Now mcdonalds, i dont know who train your staff but i suggest you look up the government guidelines when it comes to face coverings. Just because my son and his friends are in their teens does not mean you can sterotype them and treat them like this! Absolutely disgraceful!

Asked for a plain burger and got this and when we said at the window we didn’t mean completely plain they argued and the ‘manager/colleague’ just told the member of staff at the window that we should of checked the screen. I dont eat McDonalds on a regular basis but when i do i always go to chirk as my local one is the worst ive ever come across the staff are untrained in customer relations I get greeted at the door with "hiya mate cash or card" then when i approach the counter i get another "what can i get you mate" i dont even get a look just a hand for the money and then a pointed finger where to stand, so i never go there anymore i would rather drive to chirk from wrexham to get a quick, polite, fast, & friendly service so what ever the chirk McDonalds are doing the McDonal ds in the centre of wrexham need to learn & quickly, iam sure the owners dont want to waste there £100:000 in vestment they would of have to laid out to open a McDonalds restaurant and to the chirk restaurant well done and keep going with what ever you are doing as it is working well for you and especially to your customers

I live minutes away from this branch, but even I have stopped going. The service and the coffee are fine, but if you place a large order, check it, there's usually something missing. I popped in for fries and a coffee a few weeks ago and I had to park up and wait for the fries. Fries! It's the main thing they make, when they turned up they were cold and I'd had enough time to drink all the coffee. It's a shame, because there's nowhere else to go and I hate cooking. By the way, don't have the hot chocolate, it's just brown hot water.

Every time I go here sum thing is always missing out of order, also hot chocolate is like dog piss, staff are always shouting in back ground so can never them speak which is very rude

After queuing for half an hour for the drive through, being told cash only when we were at the order point. The guy wasn't even apologetic, just matter of fact. Did you not think it worth putting a sign up to let people know? We then had to queue a further 15 minutes just to leave. Rediculous.

It's was pretty much empty when I visited but the food was amazing and the staff were really nice . If you want to get food there is eat in and drive thru . Although it's small the car park is quite big

I have been to a few McDonalds with restrictions as to be fair they have been well run , However this place is well below the new norm , no queue control for eating in or walk in take out ,or if you need the loo while in the queue no chance stood in the rain for twenty minutes they finally got in and the food was luke warm , the managers need a revised setup more training ....

Waited 20 mins in a queue and all the food was cold. Even with table service the burgers & fries were all cold! Didn’t help that we were put to sit on a table with a cold air vent directly above us meaning the like warm food was stone cold in minutes! Won’t be bothering again. Terrible experience and terrible food. 50% off isn’t really a bargain when you don’t eat the food because it’s cold.

Prevented fromusing toilet and informed that this was on advice of Welsh Assembly.It is not the advice - we had checked gov.uk before making our journey to Snowdonia. Had to beg to use disabled loo, despite an obvious disability. Informed it was being used as staff toilet! That was before our food order, which was incorrect!

Chirk has always been a sub rate McDonalds. However I was uplifted after my visit back 2 days after they reopened last week, had a lovely fresh meal. A week on and I’m afraid to say normal service resumes, after waiting 1hour 10mins (arrived at 2.20pm). Food was cold and buns were stale :(. From now on we’re heading to big guys in Cefn, food is fantastic, always fresh and reasonably priced. For those passing through, goggle it, it’s 2mins off the A5.

Drove through at 2am from studio session. Thinking I'm somewhat stoned and asking for a qtr pounder meal, they made me wait 10 mins to make a fresh burger. What I got however was an old burger from the bins. The lettuce was brown, hot and limp, the burger bun was microwaved, the burger old and dry.However their faces soon turned sour when the night manager was given a rollicking when I threw the burger through the drive through window at him and have him explain why this piece of crap was served to me, even though they said they were making a new one !! Absolutely disgusting !! Avoided this place and now always eat at Burger King

I would rather eat one of the plentiful free range rats outside !!! They love feeding on the discarded meals in and around the bins and are very customer friendly even during daylight

Barely any burger sauce in Big Mac. Big Mac cold. Regular fries missing. Fries cold. No sauces. Asked for curry and ketchup as had TWO share boxes! Nuggets & cheese. Mozzarella sticks - cheese cold & hard! Never changes at chirk Mcdonlads. Its consistently POOR food & poor service!Food COLDER than ever! Stuff missing! Extremely ANNOYING!!!!!

McDonalds is not my choice of place to eat but took my 2 Grandchildren aged 4 and 5, as they love it. This McDonalds is a drive through also, so food was fresh, service was quick and staff were lovely. Think I will go more regularly now

My Order was 1 double cheeseburger and yet again asked to park up!!! Arrived cold, the service and standard of this McDonald’s is appalling.

The definition of madness is to repeat the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Why do I still visit this restaurant? The answer is that it is the only one locally. I ordered one item, a quarter pounder with cheese. I added a slice of tomato, mayonnaise and lettuce. The slice of tomato adds 20p. They added the lettuce and mayonnaise but not the tomato. I was too far away when I discovered the error. Back to checking everything when I get it.

Terrible, Big Mac meal and double cheeseburger all served freezing cold the replacement came out even colder.

I'd have given 2.5 if I could, wasn't massively poor but not quite as good as the usual offering; located just off the busy A-Road, it has quite a big car park but that said there were loads of cars parked on the double yellow lines leading into the car park presumably waiting for their drive-thru orders. It was busy inside too but luckily managed to get a table someone had just left. It has the usual self-order machines just inside the entrance, we didn't wait too long for the food to be brought out to the table, however, it was all luke warm (chips, nuggets, quarter pounder with cheese) so not the tastiest I've had. Took my young daughter to the toilet, very tiny for such a busy place and wasn't particularly clean. Also, most McDonald's usually have balloon's out for the kids, there were none here. There were colouring sheets for the kids but no crayons.

Every time I go to the drive through in this restaurant I have to wait a minimum of ten mins in the grill bay. Today it was 15mins, food was cold, no apology . Not going back, like ever. McDonald’s are a joke.

Arrived for breakfast after an early start. The food was brought to our table fresh and hot by friendly staff who also cleared up after we finished. The food and the drinks were both great. The staff here were all really friendly and cheerful, it was a great interlude to a long journey

I orderd 4 chease burgers. I got 4 cold cheasburgers, poorly constructed, the bread was far from being soft. My 1st Mcdonalds in a very long time, I won't be rushing back.

This is my nearest drive thru although I don't know why I come here. They repeatedly orders wrong and miss items which you don't find out until later to the extent that people won't drive off until they've checked their orders.

It is what it is easy to get to large parking area quick drive through good size inside eating areas but please take your rubbish to a bin

Staff here are exceptional. Very helpful and nothing to much trouble. Food is quick and tasty. Orders are sometimes wrong at drive through but they are extremely busy.

En route from midlands to north wales and needed a pit stop. We actually parked up and went inside. Ordered 2 teas and 2 portions of chips. Reasonable prices, food OK tea very good. Would go again.
