McDonald's in Newark and Sherwood

Came here yesterday at rush hour with the family and went in to see that business was definitely booming it did take a while to get our food but I had a lovely fruity grimace shake and we got some overcooked chips and the lad at the till gave us some freshly new cooked ones for free and let us keep the old ones which were actually quite nice happy birthday grimace and I will recommend this to all the alphas around

I was visiting my brother and travelling from Kent. My mobile had died and I had no way of knowing how to get to my brother’s house. I stopped here for a comfort break and to recharge my phone. I met an employee called Sara who went over and above to help me. She organised a table where I could charge my phone and waited by my phone while I ordered. She then went over to collect my order. Thank you Sara…you made what could have been a really stressful situation into a very relaxing experience. 😊

The best service I’ve ever experienced, I’ve been here once before and it wasn’t too bad but today it was perfect! Great service with smiley staff who were happy to help, even saw one help an old couple sort out their app! 10/10 would recommend and come again.

Poor service. 9 June 24 @ 4.50am. They spent 20min cooking a McCrisp and it was burnt on the bread and hardly any filling. The staff were unhelpful. The place was unclean too.

Absolute joke!!... 9 sauces on the order NOT ONE put in the bag, even though I asked to confirm and was told yes after shes peered in bag!! I ordered a cheese burger happy meal for my son I asked for it plain so no onion pickles etc etc it came with all on!!!! My son was heartbroken as he told him her self to double check plain as he has extra needs!! I asked for onion to be taken off double big mac nope onion still there BUT BUT THE PACKAGAING STATED THE ITEMS LIKE ONIONS ETC WERE REMOVED!! No napkins staff just stood around I was waiting to pay for my order 3 workers walked past till and one kept peering round to laugh ? Why? I forgot to ask for no salt on my babys chips (BEFORE STARTED BEING MADE) To be tutted at ! Food was cold

Rubbish, took ages , forgot items , all cold , melted ice cream , doesn’t give you time to speak to ask for sauces, salt etc at the window . This happens near enough every time , rubbish McDonald’s

Terrible service none of the staff had a clue what they were doing, massive queue for drive thru and massive queue inside waited 20 mins I asked for a refund and I know there was more after me asking for there money back, this was 10:30pm , the staff need proper training instead of wondering around and scratching there heads. Very poor .

very simple took an incredibly 30 minutes to be prepared. When arrived at collect point bear in mind that I have ordered to eat it"paying VAT"the supervisor had a disgusting attitude telling me to wait as they were cooking the an apple pie. Once my order arrived the table,arrived luke warm, milkshake hot. such a shame spending nearly £40 for a poor service.

This is a shockingly bad McDonald there is no consistency you get a meal one day and it's ok the next day the fries taste off and the mcflurrys are half empty, if I wanted a small one id have paid for a small one. There seems to be no customer barrier at all there is a very distinct"not my problem" feel too the place. The mcflurrys we had could have been eaten by dairy intolerant people because there wasn't any ice-cream in it, just a bit in the bottom and that's it, this place really needs to change. We got apple pies the other day that were 7 hours past the dispose of time. 7 HOURS!

It was awful. Went to stop at McDonald’s for a meal and made to wait 45 min for small meal which was cold, the worker then told us that it was our fault because we weren’t there to talk to them.

I feel I need to share with you the awful experience that I have received yesterday (30.12.2022) at my local McDonald's in Newark Nottinghamshire. I've proceded through the the drive through and ordered 2 large 1/4 pounder with cheese meals and 9 x nuggets with bbq sauce, I paid at the next window as per normal and asked for 1 curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce, only to be told that you are now charging for sauces, I explained that I had no cash and that I didn't want the meal without the sauce, I asked for the manager so I could explain the situation, the young lady told me the same thing, I asked to return my food to which she abliged but gave me cash instead of refunding my card. I then proceed to cross over the road and spend my money with KFC who was more than accommodating. I use the McDonald's restaurant several times a week and feel that you charging for condiments is a backwards step, I will never grace McDonald's with my presence again while they are charging for condiments that should be part of the meal, you go to any other restaurant and condiments are supplied. I know I'm only a small customer and my complaint will not be taken seriously but I still feel I need to share this experience. I would assume that the order that was taken back would of been disposed of which in my opinion is a bad business decision, £17.00 worth of food was taken back, destroyed for the sake of 20p worth of sauce. Poor show McDonald's 😢

To start with even though it wasn’t very busy the service was slow. Once we got the food my burgers was cold. Chips were hot at least. When they delivered our food to our table I asked for some extra sauce only to be told you have to pay for it. What a joke!! Clearly having read previous reviews the owners care more about profit than customer service!!

recently visited this place and brought a chicken wrap meal. Returned the first one because the chicken still had frozen bits inside it. It was replaced without question however the second one was not even warm. The coke drink with ice felt warmer. They claimed it was because they now cook their meals in a different way perhaps that means they need to learn how to switch an oven on. My money was refunded after considerable argument particularly when I pointed out that the fries were also partly cooked.

Greeted with a female called Jenna who practically threw my food at me and walked away without even asking if I wanted any sauces then walked away laughing when I complained about it. Unprofessional and completely put me off coming back. Sort out your staff.

I had two cappuccinos from there that were thick and powdery, got them from the drive thru so didn’t have time to go back till the next day. I told the staff member and he said the machine had been playing up but was fixed now. He got the manager and she basically made me out to be a liar because I hadn’t got the receipt as proof of purchase even though I’d got the two cups with the powdery mess still in them and the man had said the machine had been playing up. She denied they ever used it. Told me the cups could have been in my car for days. That’s Emma the manager and how she deals with loyal customers. She needs sacking! Called here late evening for a drive through meal on the way back from a concert..There were three cars in front of us but waited nearly 10 minutes to get served..So much for fast food...we placed our order and picked it up and drove home...a two minute journey..there were 3 things missing from the order..all the food was cold and the coke was flat..this isnt the first time this has happened to us and other people we knowThey had plenty of staff on duty..maybe if they spent less time talking and playing around this wouldnt happen..we will not be calling here again..Not recommended

Enjoyed a tasty lunch with my wife. I had the big mac and she had the Chicken burger with fries and both were lovely and the place was easily located with lots of choice.

Popped in for a takeaway Breakfast Wrap and a Latte which was a welcome breakfast break after visiting the stables at 6am. It is bright clean and welcoming with plenty of car park space.

Called in here for a quick breakfast and a paper read the other morning..i was the only one ordering at the till..my order was sausage and egg muffin and a bacon and egg muffin with a large tea. Food was all fine but having to wait 10 minutes for my order i think is unacceptable and no apology for its late arrival..its no wonder some local people have stopped calling at this restaurant

The Chicken Burger & fries was very tasty making a lovely lunch for a couple on the go. The place was clean and tidy and the service was polite and quick.

Stopped for a coffee break after having visited Thoresby Park to recharge my batteries prior to meeting up with friends in lovely Notts for the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful, very relaxing atmosphere, menu offers all McDonald’s is renown for, so a nice break was had. Additional bonus is free parking and very easy access! This wasn’t my first visit and won’t be my last for sure.

I use to come here quite a lot before the changes, but since the new makeover I don't like it at all. It has lost something, the atmosphere is not the same and I don't like the new system of ordering. I think this is what they call progress but it is not for me, im afraid I wont be visiting again.

Wife had a sore throat and wanted some ice cream, she fancied it from Macdonald's so off I went. Ordered a Cadbury's and a Galaxy with the biscuit. What did I get? For the past three weeks of visiting the scavenging ‘mcdonalds’ they have got the order wrong in some way by either forgetting crucial meal parts or putting in the wrong stuff, which means we’ve had to make a special journey back after already queuing for 20 minutes then having to que another 10 minutes to get our food that we ordered in the first place meaning our food went cold. This week they have pushed me into writing this review because they had the cheek to not put the tomato rich sauce in for the cheese bites and yet again this week we had a burger missing.

Greatly improved from the last visit. Service prompt and food good, and exactly as ordered. Will be dropping in again soon.

I visited the drive thru, nice friendly staff, but the food is awful. Out of 3 big mac meals purchased not one was enjoyable. One of them went straight in the bin without being touched. The burgers were shrivelled up they were that old.

We stop here for lunch and Breakfast each year as we go to And return from Certer Parcs. It is always very busy. Recently refurbished, it now has the on screen ordering facility. Staff here are always pleasant and helpful.

Dropped in for breakfast and the meal was adequate, just about hot enough and taste was fine. However the attitude of the staff is questionable, not just one but all I encountered seemed to be under a pall of gloom which was reflected in the communication, and the sloppy wrapping of the meal.

The last three times I have visited, the order has been wrong. The staff do not know what they are doing, and do not value custom.

This was the 3rd place we had tried for coffee. We had 2 takeaway coffee. Slightly impersonal but quick efficient service considering their was a queue. Lovely​ coffee.

Arrived at 4'30 am the place was empty, so we did the ordering to eat in, as we started to eat one of the staff decides to start cleaning "the place was like a pig sty when we entered", we had parked for some time, and there no one went in or out before we entered, I wondered why this chap decided now was a good time to start cleaning and mopping around us, rather than starting at the other end of the place, working toward us as we finished our meal, the car park was full of rubbish, and it appeared as the shift we arrived on had done nothing to keep on top of the cleaning, and just decided to start as we arrived!! not very professional and |I would suggest some retraining would be in order, enough of the state of the place, and now the food, mediocre at best, the "fries" were lousy, however they actually got the order right, weve called at this place during the day on numerous occasions and it really is just another McDonalds with nothing special to mention, todays trip did however.

Parecía limpia por dentro con la distribución habituales que se pueden esperar. Tiene un paseo por una pequeña área de forma inesperada y jardín con bancos de picnic. Llevamos nuestra comida y nos sentamos afuera ya que era un día agradable. Un montón de pájaros y muy agradable de tomar un breve descanso en nuestro viaje aquí.

I have to say I have visited different macdonalds over the years but this is def the worst by far. The restaurant is filthy and I mean filthy it was that bad we choose not to eat our food in there. The staff are terrible no customer service skills what so ever. And dont seem to have a clue when it comes to taking your order or sorting your food. We ordered Big Mac meals and when they came the buns were half the size of the burgers. The meal wasn't even edible. The car park has litter everywhere.

We went to the drive thru tonight got 2 big tastys and 2 large fries when we drove away I put my hand in the bag to have a frie and found them to be very cold we thought if we drove round again and got hot fries our burgers would then get cold we came home and put them in the microwave which wasn't ideal they were hot but tasteless

Staff seem very confused and unable to provide a complete/correct order - always have to double check what you get given-keep using the place as its convenient, quick and relatively cheap and open at odd hours to fit my shift patterns.

I went to mcdonalds sat evening after a rather long day at work. Knowing that the food would be quick and lets face it u get what u pay for. Went through the drive through. Order was placed quickly. The woman at the first window was nice and took my money. Went to tje second window where my drinks wew waiting so passed over straight away. However I wad left waiting over 5 mins gir my cheese burger and fries. Not a word from any of the four staff that were stood around laughing and joking. When my order qas ready a rather large girl just held it out through the window. No acknowledgement at all.as her focus was on the conversation behind the counter. When I said thankyou she gavedme a dirty look. Needless to say it will be a while before I return. Service is everything! !

Standard Macdonalds restaurant with all the popular menu items. I visited today to get my family a a breakfast as a treat as part of our summer holiday. I got home to find that I hadn't been given half of what I'd payed for. Not such a great treat after all.

Wouldn't normally write a review for a Mcdonald's.But If ever visiting Sherwood Forest, we always call in to this one. This Mcdonalds, has to be the cleanest, quickest, and friendliest fast food restaurant ever! The food is always 'HOT' lots of parking, open 24hrs. Have called in this one loads over the years, and the service is always excellent.

I used this restaurant last month as my two kids wanted a burger. Service was fast, the food was as expected and I felt quite thin and good about myself when I looked at the majority of people using the restaurant.

This place is disgusting. its my closest mcD's yet i travel further in other direction to avoid this place. The staff are useless and cant grasp "plain cheesburger please" or "can i have the table wiped please". food is either cold or looks like its been trodden on. avoid the place like the plague

Ok, it's a mcdonalds, average stuff, same as any other corporate crapola, however i live locally to this place, and have had the wrong food supplied on two occasions, and never had a hot meal, always some or all is lukewarm. Thought they were supposed to have standards / regs about how long they keep food on the warmer? Also was refused a breakfast item nearly ten minutes before the finish time for breakfasts as they 'cook six eggs at once and we might waste the rest'. So i do not go there any more. Avoid. Go to the traditional Cafe just up the Worksop road, A616 South, far better.

what more can one say except.... they got the order wrong AGAIN, the service is fast though and the staff are friendly. But at the end of the day it is only a McDonalds.

Booked a table for two of us as it was the other halfs birthday and opted to try this restaurant out.We were greeted suitably and decided on a table near to the window with a view of the KFC across the road. It was at this point that I decided I fancied dining on Chicken and my partner opted for a Whopper...Table service was not available on this occasion so the missis ordered at the counter for us both on the way back from the Loo.Food was fresh and well cooked and the side salad was also freshly prepared it seemed,chips nice and crispy but we could have done with a few more to be honest. The drinks of coffee and diet Pepsi were pleasant enough and we finished off with deep fried apple pie and a donut from the desert trolley.Would have liked a bottle of wine to wash things down but were advised that the drinks licencse had not yet been approved by Newark and Sherwood District Council and they had been waiting 7years for them to reply to their application, enough said.. All in all a good dining experience but will probably come with someone else next time. might bring the kids for a "Happy Meal" at Christmas for a treat.

Been recently renovated. Good for fast food on way home. McD now does wraps and as such appeals to a wider audiience in our family, we can all find someting we like.

Can't fault Maccydees for value and service. I have discovered the Chilli Chicken Wrap meal and it is excellent. The coffee is good too. The McFlurries are to die for. Where else can 2 people eat for about a tenner?
