Visited Saturday just gone and was told my card hadn’t gone through with no proper explanation.manger shouted through window card hadn’t worked and I would have no food . It had gone through I have found out today so will be going back in store when proper manager has returned as I was told he is on holiday.so I had paid for food which I never got so as a nhs worker I was left hungry with no food not good McDonald’s

Waited over half hour to be told "we couldn't find you" nobody looked for us as we were sitting facing the main entrance watching 4 members of staff eating their food o the outside tables.

Think the title speaks volumes. Multiple times i go. 9/10 i have to reheat the fries despite “being fresh” food missing from orders. Orders Something as simple as a plain burger gets ruined. Oh the best recent one as of today is a hand written receipt….

This is the worst McDonalds that I have ever been to I live locally and therefore have to use it as others are too far away but given a choice I would avoid at all cost! Not once have they got the order right. Not once have I turned up and everything on the menu has been available! Even when you think it’s right you get home and it’s not it’s a good job no one in my house has allergies! I even tried using the app thinking that would help except the Wi-Fi doesn’t extend beyond the building so couldn’t collect at drive through!! I have been to plenty of other McDonald’s in my time but this is the worst by far!

I just can’t believe the poor reviews this McDonalds has been getting.My wife and I have eaten here 2 or 3 times a week,for the last 12 months,both for breakfast,coffees and lunch and 99% of the time the food,drinks and service have been great.On one occasion I did have a cold coffee,but that was soon replaced and apologised for.We have been to other McDonald’s across the country and the Rugeley one is the equal to all of them

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Ordered on the app for delivery. One meal was completely missing the others were so cold they could have come from a fridge. We are less than a mile from the restaurant. The fries were a tasteless soggy mess. Avoid.

We have been to this particular McDonald's (Rugeley), a few times and always found that as long as you actually go in, everything is fine. If , however, you go through the drive through, very often you get either the wrong or incomplete order, or it is cold and there is nothing worse than McDonald's cold food. On staff review, I think the lady called Sandra (according to her name badge) needs a particular mention. McDonald's ought to be exceptionally pleased that she is on their staff. She is perhaps slightly older than the normal employees and therefore, and it is obvious, still believes in customers service and the art of conversation. She is always very friendly, pleasant and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for her. She chats to customers and always makes everyone feel very welcome. Well done Sandra. On the nationwide front - McDonald's coffee is absolutely the very best. Whenever we are travelling, using motorways, we always watch out for a rest area with a McDonald's and call in for a lovely McD coffee.

Sunday morning my partner used just eat to speed up the process. When the order arrived half was missing. Made a call to the branch to be told they couldn’t help but it had been a crazy busy morning. so drove there to re order the missing food items to find the branch quiet and staff hanging about. I know possibly our fault for not checking the initial order but even so. Not happy at all with this branch with its unhelpful staff.

Have visited this restaurant several times in the last month, came into the restaurant just under two weeks back and the customer service was poor and the food was cold, the fries looked like they hadn’t been cooked properly. I have recently visited tonight through the drive through, came home to see that I have been given the wrong order! I had asked for a chicken mayo burger without the mayo and to add cheese, which I had clearly stated! I’m just appalled with the whole overall service.

Consistently rubbish. Why have we got the worst McDonalds ever near to where we live? Never get an order right.. Never use the drive through... Go in, take away, yet even that they screw up. Tonight, large Mc flurry orders and some idiot only fills it half full. Man, so stupid.

Rugeley- Worst Macdonalds’s experience ever. Waited over 30 minutes in a bay and then had to go in to see where my order was. I was told they were busy and was waiting on a 99p chicken sandwich. Finally a further 10 minutes later I was given my order. When I got home to eat my order (less than a mile away) everything apart from the chicken sandwich was stone cold! Supposed to be fast food!! Appalling service.

This is by far the worst McDonald’s in the uk. We have used this McDonald’s for a few years and it just gets worse and worse. So far this year in 2022 every time we have been to the drive through we have had to park up and wait even for simple straight forward orders. We have had to park up anywhere from 10-35 minutes every single time we have used the drive through and that’s at least once a week minimum. On a few occasions after parking up and waiting for simple orders such as 2 large Big Mac meals and a couple of hamburgers we have had to go in as the Oder was wrong or it was some one els order. McDonald’s then started delivering and it’s the worst and most unorganised system on the planet. On 3 occasions now we have ordered door to be delivered they have taken money from our banks and not delivered the food it’s a absolute joke. Thank god kfc has just opened and Burger King is half decent

Asked to wait 3 minutes in waiting bay for food. 20 minutes later - still waiting, mcflurries are now liquid. Every other car after me was asked to wait, but everyone served before me! Food cold when I eventually received it. Very slow service, poor quality food, I won’t be visiting again.

Drive through service is disgusting!!! Told to wait in a bay and 30 minutes later after watching about 30 other cars after I was served were served , I had to ask to person walking out with food to cars who was very unhelpful said she would check but didn’t come back to me , I had to go to the window -nearly getting run over !! And ask agin why the order was taking 30 mins . The person on the window denied it had been 30 mins and walked off !! So rude !! Then magically the order appeared with a sarcastic I am sorry for your wait. No manager in sight to apologise. Disgusting unprofessional service - worst Macdonalds I have ever visited.

Sat at the the screen for ten minutes being ignored for a car behind us to get served quicker, then pull upto a smug sweaty cashier with attitude. It's supposed to be fast food but yet we have to pull into a bay every time and wait for our order to be wrong. When you go into store your sat staring at a screen like a lemon .. which is every reason I refuse to shop at argos.... you can no longer order something as meal because paper straws ruin the drink and it costs more to buy it separately without a drink.. actual customers are no longer a priority as they're more concerned with serving delivery drivers with larger orders... i also shouldn't have to ask for the sauce that should come with certain items... knowing full well once your out of the drive through it'd be more effort to come back for it. On more than one occasion I have had a terrible service at rugeley mcdonalds and nothing seems to change.

We ordered through just eat, first things first this is NOT just eat issue. McDonald’s Rugeley are great at being consistently terrible at giving the right order let alone the well below quality. I live in Rugeley and actually look forward to a McDonald’s at bassett’s pole when driving through. I would say Rugeley franchisees needs to close or change management. It is not working there! They need a lot of help to get this right.

This franchise seems unable to cope with orders via the App, even though we are encouraged to use it to order ahead. No one is prepared to accept any responsibility for any waiting or errors with orders and if you dare complain you are made to feel guilty as you knew it was terrible but still came! Not great at all. I Ordered two wrap meals with two toffee lattes, first of all, the chips were soggy with no salt what so ever which made them very unenjoyable and bland. I picked my coffee up to have a drink and noticed it was incredibly light, as I opened the coffee lid it appeared to half full, let alone the non existent taste of toffee which we paid extra for. However, the wrap was very good and tasty, the man at the pay window was also very friendly. Food was no great and will avoid in future.

Went to eat in for the first time since they reopened, absolutely disgusting manors from staff towards children. 22.30 17/01 Floor was absolute disgrace behind the counter with salad and food droppings. Staff, including manager, walking through it with no attempt to clean it. A member of staff was doing my burgers and another was touching it. At the end of the food counter was a pile of rubbish which looked like it had been pushed to the area. I have never been in such a dirty McDonalds.

The Rugeley McDonalds is an absolute joke. Fast food? Try waiting 15 minutes or longer for your food. The standard customer service is now "Sorry for the wait," but it means nothing. I waited 15 minutes for food tonight, the McFlurries were overflowing and dripping down the side. As I complained the bag with food in broke and fries went all over the floor. These were replaced along with "some extra, warm fries" shouldn't the fries I have be warm? I get home and the Italian burger is a mess and lukewarm; the Big Mac is lukewarm too. Unfortunately, it's become a joke in the area that you'll be gone ages to get food from there. Management need to sort it out.

Specially asked for a breakfast wrap with no folded egg. The packet had no folded egg written on it but what a surprise when I started eating it ...it had egg in it.I’ve had too many bad experiences at this McDonald’s I’ve finally given up. I’d rather drive 20 miles to the hednesford one than deal with this level of incompetence again. the super enthusiastic guy who works on the drive through in the evenings is awesome that’s the only positive thing about this place. Other then that it’s trash and by far the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever visited.Avoid

I have been to this place a number of times but the last two have really been really bad. The second to last time I went, I was very tired and heading home from Alton towers. I just wanted to sit down and have food but after ordering my happy meal with chicken nuggets, I had to wait at least a good half an hour for them to arrive! Now I understand if they were busy but there were people arriving that had ordered more than me and were getting theirs straight away! My feet were really hurting and I was not very happy at all, in fact I was very tempted to tell them just that but many others were alredy doing so. Anyways the last time I went, just a week or two ago, I again ordered a HAPPY MEAL WITH CHICKEN NUGGETS and after waiting a surprisingly short amount of time, I was given a CHICKEN MAYO BURGER!!! I went to the person serving me and told him that this wasn’t what I’d ordered, I had ordered a happy meal with chicken nuggets. He then went on to give me a box of 6 chicken nuggets while all the staff there gave me dirty looks. I was absolutely fuming and to add to how very angry I was, I had to get BACK IN THE QUEUE to get chips! When I finally got to sit down, my friend had already eaten all of her meal in the time it took me to just get mine, and my other friend had eaten my ketchup! This McDonald’s is really getting me annoyed because I had actually had a very nice day at Alton towers, and it meant I was very late getting home and extremely tired. This is two times in a row now. Absolutely terrible.

A one star! I went out with my family for a Macdonalds to find my chips tasted a bit odd, I continued eating them and at least half an hour later I was sick. I would recommend other macdonalds as a five star but this one needs its chef firing. Thank you for reading

Good location mcds on the Rugeley bypass but the issue is they've built it too small inside!!! Not enough seating to accommodate all the visitors even the car park can't cope. Flipside food served hot and tasty

For some background: my family and I aren't locals to Rugely, but we tend to go to this McDonald's biweekly since we visit my severely autistic brother and a pub environment can sometimes get too stressful for him. We've never had problems today and previous staff members have appeared to be friendly. We were sitting on a table and directly in front of us was a manager and an older gentleman who did not work there, and two crew members standing up talking to them. My parents left early to get a drink at the pub across the road and something agitated my brother (he can't control lashing out, he has the mental capacity of an 18 month old despite being 12) and he ended up throwing a McFlurry lid towards this table (didn't aim for them, he just throws things randomly when he's overwhelmed).

On duty we my job and needed food had no where else to go im sorry but kfc is totaly the way forward no to macky d's

I work opposite McDonald’s Inn Rugeley and work 16 hour shifts (through choice). My position doesn’t allow me to leave the building once I’m here so I regularly call into McDonald’s and grab a breakfast. The staff are always polite and friendly and the food is what you would expect and service sometimes slow but it suits my needs. With my breakfast I sometimes have a hot chocolate rather than a latte but have found that the hot chocolate lately has been like water so I’ve stuck to latte. Today I decided I’d try a hot chocolate again and asked the girl at the point of order if the hot chocolate machine was working, she said as far as she was aware. When I picked up my order I asked the lad who was serving if the hot chocolate machine was working and had enough syrup in, he replied yes. I explained what had happened previously and he said it would be fine. I get to work allow it to cool to drink and it’s revolting! I have phoned over and the young lad on the phone spoke to his manager Chris who said they couldn’t send me a replacement drink over (it’s approx 40 second walk) and to go back at 11pm (it’s now 7.30am) and they will replace it. Do you really think this is acceptable when I’ve asked two members of staff?? Customer service at its worst.

One of the best McDonald’s I have visited in a long time (excluding one in Florida!) and I have been to many since they first arrived on our shores.

If you use this drive thru always check your order!! I don’t understand what is so difficult about making sure you put the right food in the bag!

There is no doubt the staff know how to treat customers, very polite and very accommodating. But the food, and this isn't the first time I've been, is less than appetising and barely edible.

Like most people I've sampled McD's all over the World, But this one is nearly on my door step. One thing you can guarantee here is inconsistency. Sometimes the fries are hot and well seasoned sometimes cold and insipid - sometimes burgers are freshly cooked and hot and sometimes it seems they have been hanging around for a while and have gone cold.To be sure the coffee is reliably horrible and check your order as it's been known that the little brown bag does not contain everything it should....

Staff are friendly - yes - Does anyone take concerns seriously NO - I used to be in the food industry for years, if we sent out food cold we would not have survived very long. Every time I tell the staff the food was cold last time can you please make sure it is hot please. What is wrong with the staff ? With 2 small children and living a short distance away - I thought McDonalds would get it right. but Items missing and cold food - NOT good enough.

Came here in a Sunday out in the bikes and ate in the grass near the car park. Nothing bad to say everything went well we enjoyed the coffee and food.

Popped in after work to get some late night grub n just before we left a young girl behind the counter said to man which I believe was her manager “make sure they leave” talking about us cuz we was the only ones in there , granted it was 11:45pm but it still had 15 minutes and it was just plain rudeness if I’m honest , I mean I know it’s no 5 star restaurant but you expect good manners at the least , sound like a good staff meeting is in need to sort out attitude!!!

Went in on wednesday night after a shift at work, ordered food.. got the drink wrong and his excuse was ‘it was the first one I picked up’ well maybe you should check the drink not just pick up the first one and serve it..? Then by the time I got home realised I was given a blueberry muffin instead of the chocolate one I ordered, not sure how that one was done wrong is it that difficult to spot the difference between a blueberry muffin and chocolate muffin and chuck it in a bag? Not happy at all. Then as it came to close time I can understand they’re closing and it’s time for us to leave - we were not being loud or disturbing so found it very rude when the girl on shift (brown haired girl working the night of the 31st Oct) came out to the till, pointed at me & my friends and said ‘get them out’ in a very rude way!!! So not friendly or a way to speak about customers! Awful experience at this mcdonalds won’t be returning. Such a rude girl who pointed demanding the other member of staff get us out. Awful.

Ordered just a cheese burger and coffee. Lady delivered it to my table in a happy jolly manner. Also took my tray away once I had finished. Place was clean and tidy, people working there were nice. Happily go again

This restaurant has been done to the same standard as the recent refits of the franchise nationwide. Touch screen ordering, at seat service, sacrificing seating in house to accommodate 2 drive through lanes on the outside.

We were staying nearby so used McDonald’s for convenience, the food was up to the usual dependable standard, the restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly. It may not be gourmet food but it was consistent, clean and pleasant.

We ended up here out of desperation, very hungry and couldn't find anywhere else. Not been in McDonalds since they introduced new ordering system. Staff were exceptionally helpful and cheerful. Food was very good, so was coffee. Very impressed!

Breakfast is just the usual mcdonalds stuff. However i advise you check whats in your bag before you leave. Time and time again including today ive been given a sausage and egg instead of bacon and egg also minus a hash brown if its a bad day. Always changed with an appology. Its now just protocol to check the bag. Id advise everyone to do the same.

Needed a quick lunch, just spent Saturday morning at kids football. Thought Rugeley Macdonalds would be ideal but waited over half an hour for our food. The amount of people waiting was ridiculous. There should introduce a pop up box when ordering on the screen telling you how long you have to wait. If I’d have known it be over half hour, I would have took my business elsewhere. They basically couldn’t cope with the amount of people ordering. It was a shambles! Thankfully order was correct and tasty but that might be the fact that we were hungry.

Since reopening they never have any bacon, twice i have been to find printed paper limiting what to have because for some reason they dont order stock.

We have now been twice to this one , and on both times at the drive though we had to wait for them to bring to the car a plain cheese burger , the service is awful . So last night my partner rang up to complain and was told that once cooked the food is now not kept on or in a warming draw , but kept at room temp , this is not good as my partner is a chef and never lets food go cold to serve to customers

Drive Thru now has 2 ordering points but still only 1 pay & collection point. All this has done is create a backlog of customers waiting to pay and collect their orders. Waited 15 mins in the backlog on Sunday. What a stupid idea. No serviette's with the order and fries were undercooked. I know it's Fast Food but it should still be cooked !

Called in for food. Usual fair so all good on that score. However, the “Management” of this franchise is shocking! Witnessed very bad treatment of the front of house staff, and management does not mean, you laze around and exit on mass for a “fag break” every hour or so while the workers graft! McDonalds should send in undercover people from HQ to see this for themselves. I will be continuing to visit here, as it is not the first time I have seen this, and will be keeping note.

Visited McDonald's today..ordered a Mc Chicken Sandwich meal,Half of my fries were undercooked...McDonald's your known for your fast food, that doesn't mean half cook my fries because the whole service needs to be "fast". Secondly, I opened my Mc Chicken sandwich and found a huge lettuce stem stook in the middle of my burger..Since when did Mc Donald's start throwing there garden waste into my food? Outrageous experience and a waste of money. I'm Mcnever coming back again... unless I'm hungry!

I admit I have never actually been inside and always use the drive through. The Drive though is easy to access and seems quicker than waiting inside. The staff are always very helpful, friendly, and nice. I’ve never had a bad meal from there its always hot and fresh.

Surprised to read all these bad reviews at rugeley McDonald's. My daughter is very fussy so she has double chips in her happy meal. This may not seem a big issue but rugeley McDonald's is the only McDonald's that will allow us to do this. Yes the staff are young, yes the service is a little slow sometimes but these are young people who are working and earning their own money. We've never experienced any rude staff in there and it's always clean on par with other McDonald's. They are never going to be pristine the way people drop food all over the place. My kids love it so that's good enough for me

Always dirty, messy tables, sticky tables, litter on the floor. The staff are "zombified", and unresponsive to requests, as if they're not listening. Would rather go to another outlet, for a better service.

The worst McDonald's, Would love to know if this restaurant serves anything other than cold Luke warm food, chicken burgers always rock hard (due to being in the keep warm draw "far to long")& fries not worth serving the starving, am yet to have a meal that is fairly hot at the least, yes those metal numbers in the food bin represent times the food should go in that 2nd bin called a food bin under the counter,anybody would think the staff pay for the food waste as they are quite happy to serve food which belongs in the food bin,

We went to mcdonalds as a treat for the family, when we arrived it was extremely quiet, however staff were tripping over each other. From ordering our food to sitting down to eat was 25 minutes to feed 6 of us. Poor organisation and no one there to manage them, comments like im on drive thru im not helping on the floor was heard, Overall shocking service with no management skills, organised chaos !!

It's a McDonald's what do you expect, run mainly by young adults.. been in a few times and they have been a bit rushed off their feet, but at least they are working and learning some life skills.. Foods always been hot...

Just walked in and tried to access a table to get told in a very rude manner not to sit in one side of the restaurant as I was looking for somewhere to sit down. The other side was full and there was a queue of people. The other side had lots of empty tables. The staff member attitude was rude and nasty. How she got a job I'll never know! Can safely say will never return there! Left after that.

service was really bad. staff found it more convenient to stand are joking instead of giving good customer service. Ive used the chain for years and even though the food was ok I wasn't overly impressed after visiting here.

Worst McDonald's I have ever visited. Unhelpful, disinterested staff and extremely poor customer service! Totally shocking!

This is usually a good starting-off or return point when we're off somewhere for the day. Fill up before a long journey or stop in before returning home when we've had a long day. Good staff and typically good Maccies nosh.
