McDonald's in Reading

I ordered 4 Minecraft meals for my little cousins. I drove 30 minutes to get to the place and took it home. They gave me the wrong order and then refused to offer any solution other than a a voucher which I have to pay to use. This isn't even the first time this place has given me the wrong order.

mimosa was the best employee who gave me the best service although it was so busy and she made that service a great one for me

Waited for 14 minutes & when food did come it was cold , don't normally complain but when I did in a very polite & quiet way they just didn't care

McDonald's are known for fast food service,not any more always having to wait for your order

The flat white cafe is small and expensive compared to batter McDonald's

we are fan of mcd and today a beautiful cat eyes lady mimosa made it more pleasing and awesome for us serving her best of her service wher we got all the condiments which usually we did not get and it was too quick she made us sit and gave us sit on the table although we didn’t ask for table service thank you for the best service we received from you will visit again definitely

Don't use the drive through. Always have to park up and wait at least 20 minutes for your food

This McDonald’s is a busy spot but has a large parking area and a convenient drive-thru. For halal options, the Fillet-O-Fish burger meal and blueberry muffin are great choices!

We are extremely happy and my kids had a good time with the excellent service we got from lovely lady named mimosa she was the best mean to say the outstanding person

Sat for ages in the drive through. Ordered a plain cheeseburger meal and a happy meal with a fruit shoot. Cheeseburger wasn’t plain so son wouldn’t eat it and cried! Happy meal came without the drink. Terrible!

I use the app to order but despite my reloading itetc. I often have to go into the store to sort my order out. Orders are often wrong if delivered to car, no napkins, milk, etc. On writing a complaint the recompense is grossly inadequate ie £2.99 and I have to redeem in the store. My whole reason for using the app is that I am disabled and vulnerable so try to avoid coming into the store. Customer Care is nil.

Ordered online through McDelivery, missing a 20 piece nugget box, I have no one to communicate with on either end and have tried multiple times to contact the store and no one has picked up, McDelivery doesn’t have a customer service number either, and I want a reimbursement

I must thank this lovely and helpful person mimosa for her excellent service given to us as my wife's foot had an injury and god bless her made us sit and bought our order on the table very much pleased.

No matter what time you go here, there is always a lengthy waiting time. Staff serving at drive thru are never greeting a customer with a smile....food quality never the same, one day it might taste good but next day totally different....the most awkward McDonalds that I've been at.

Usually go there with my friend to get food and it’s usually fine. My friend ordered large fries which he did receive but it wasn’t a lot in the container. Seemed more like a medium. I ordered a quarter pounder but got a double cheeseburger by mistake and when I went to change it, the lady was kind enough to give me an entirely new meal (6 nuggets, quarter pounder, large fries) which I shared with my friend. A few minor issues but good place overall.

Had the wrong order delivered and no way to contact anyone

Absolute Horrible customer service today! My McDonald’s App glitched basically it glitched it took my money but the Order cancelled at the same time. Was a pain to get a refund on my card. Had to speak to 2 Managers to get it sorted. Not just that the food was a long wait. The staff was respectful but the service was just awful. I rather travel Further to a different McDonalds branch then go here. Nightmare!

I purchased food from McDonald’s in the forbury last night 6/12/2024 order numbers 98 and 02 three fillet meals 2 with water and one with coffee and I noticed the coffee taste strange I thought it was just me, this morning I feel sick I tried calling the restaurant to inform them that they need to clean their coffee machine and replace fresh milk and not just top it up because I didn’t want someone else to get sick however no one picked up the phone so the reason for this post

The drive thru staff need to be way more efficient More like a drive pile up. The wait for food is unacceptable. 5 min per car on average Ridiculous Ontop of that the food is not fresh or hot. Burger dried out and the chicken rock hard. Never again. Avoid

Very disappointed. They needed 21 minutes to do my order which included 2 cheeseburger and a chicken mayo. Update after 10 months. Nothing has changed. Some very long waiting time. Also there was a poster for face painting every Saturday and Sunday. I been there at 14:36. No face painting and when I asked the manager she starts laughing says that there is not such a thing, and when I show her the poster on the wall she said that she have no clue.

Waited 5 mins at the drive through window, no one acknowledged, then given a wrong order, over charged, really poor customer service, won't be coming back in a rush.

Just been through the drive -thru , got food and parked up to check it, one portion of fries missing, went in and explained and they said sorry for that and we’ll get you the fries, I told them I want a refund as every time I go to the d-t something is always missing. So I got my refund and said I’m off to KFC. Never every will I use Forbury McDonalds (reading) again.

A pretty underwhelming experience when I visited. I have never been to this branch before, I was just travelling through the area. I ordered my meal inside the store and the kiosk printer wasn't working. The displays above the service desk weren't working so none of the many customers who were all standing around, waiting for their orders, knew what was happening. Although I ordered a large meal with a large Diet Coke, the cup was only around 3/4 full and had no ice in it. There seemed to be a general state of chaos with the staff shouting out some order numbers but with nobody around to claim them. Not the sort of experience you expect from visiting a McDonalds...

This is my local maccers, and I’ve worked at McDonald’s in the past, so I know how their system works and can give better insight into why this particular McDonald’s is consistently bad. If you go in to get food, be prepared for a 15 minute wait. Nothing fast about the fast food here. The workers who deal with the front have been trained to mark orders on their screen as completed as soon as they appear. This is not the right way, as the screen is there to show them which orders are currently being worked on and helps them to organise. The workers have been trained to do this by management so that the restaurant looks like it’s doing well on paper, on Mcdonalds’ internal systems. To their boss, who I assume isn’t very involved, all looks well and the restaurant seems to be moving at a fast pace, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WRONG WAY. This corner-cutting leads to a massive issue with organisation, and the people on front are just clueless. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes until you’ve ordered to have to ask where your food is, only for it to be given to you straight away. Easily the worst maccers I’ve been to

what is the point of delivery instructions if the drivers never read them

The evaluation is about customer service, Ryder. We deliver the customer's food in the comfort of their home. The employees don't care! We wait for 10, 15, 20 or more minutes for ready-made orders, which we just need to pick up at the counter and hand over to us. Lack of respect! Horrible service!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly and I'm not exaggerating, the worst McDonalds I've ever been too. The wait for food is just ridiculous, it's not fast food, it's slow food. EVERY time I go through a drive through, even just for a chicken wrap "can you please park up and wait 4-5 minutes". 15 minutes later I walk in myself and ask for it, given straight to you. Why? Because there's ALWAYS loads of food sat in the waiting bay while the 2 usual employees stand there looking all confused as what they're doing. It's absolutely terrible experience every time. Who ever owns and runs the joint needs to actually come in now and then, might realise he needs to employ some semi hard workers rather than these lot.

It's actually quite a nice branch, but at peak times, you have to be prepared to wait for a very long time, and place does get packed, dirty and poorly kept when it's busy. Seems understaffed.
